Captain Seraphinite | 9 Roll 2

The sudden appearance of the monster did little to sway him. If anything, Seraphinite felt emboldened, lunging forward as the creature roared. He brought his swords downward in double arches, down across its shoulder and arm. He saw Jet, and something in him for a moment felt lighter seeing the other man fighting. Relieved. He was alright.

Rage boiled in his blood though within seconds and he snarled towards the dark figure. If Jet wasn't alright, it Aqua wasn't, it was because of this thing. It made his goal easy and straight-forward, something he never regretted when such situations came up.

This thing was an enemy, and it was blocking their likely path home.

Fine by him--Seraphinite wasn't about to back down from slicing something open to make his own doorway if needed.

Corrupt Rigel of the Eldritch | 9 Roll 2

While Seraphinite was able to fight up close and personal with ease, Rigel was made for distance fighting. Ideally, that was. But in cases like this, where he had limited use of his magic, and makeshift weapons were required, he had to switch up his tactics.

Quick lunges in before darting back away from his target. That was the alternative method he preferred to use if remaining at a distance just wasn't possible. His jabs with the sharp, jagged end of the branch at least seemed to do something as he drove it harshly towards the creature's lower back, aiming for where soft organs were on a human body. Assuming the creature possessed the same anatomy as a human, anyway...

But he was still grinning.

It was massive.

A horned beast, a guardian of the forest. Elegant antlers, a long train of feathers behind it that seemed to stare at them with eyes of their own. It was beautiful as it was terrifying, and Rigel loved it immediately. He gave a wistful sigh, wishing to have more of a moment to watch it, to have the means to record it. If it died shortly... it would be a tragedy to not have proper records of it. So he mostly lingered back, observing. Trying to imprint it in his mind for later. It truly was a shame. But, well, they had to get back, and the monster did seem dead-set on stopping them, alas.

Sailor Alsafi - Basic - 4+ 8!

....Oh. Oh no. Oh it kept getting worse.

Sailor Alsafi rose only to be blown down again, making a few frightened soundfs before getting up, hugging herself in fear. Oh, not that thing. Not that thing again -- she chewed her lip, crying in that tears of terror were rolling down her cheeks and fearful because thew monster was making it colder again, but.. Oh, wait, would a saudden temperature change hurt it this time? It was a loose, disjointed memory of her mother complaining -- loudly -- about the pipes bursting because the gardener hadn't wrapped the pipes and with shaking hand she raised a hand and poionted at the thing, making a guin shape for a lark with her fingers as she summoned every remaining bit of courage that kept her from running away screaming into the night.

"Bang?"

This was kind of pathetic.

Basic Senshi Attack
Senshi Attack: Alsafi's Flow
Sailor Alsafi turns towards one opponent, and points, a light eminating from her finger before the illusion of a pyroclastic flow begins behind her. The target will feel like a wave of hot gasses and rock have begun rolling towards them. This attack lasts 30 seconds and leaves the target with sensitive skin, as if they spilled scalding hot water or coffee on themselves for the duration of the attack.
Used 3 times a day.

[quot]Sailor Alsafi is styill open to interactions and probably needs a hug.

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter

Sessrumnir let out a small sigh of relief when he heard his brother call over to say he was with Pendour. Good, at least someone was with her when he couldn’t get to her side. Not that he didn’t think she was capable, because she could clearly handle herself, but he was still worried something would happen that would put her in the hospital again.

To Palatine he would have rolled his eyes if he wasn’t focused on fighting off the creatures that came out of the fog. Lucky for him, she had already picked up a branch to swing at their attackers.

He also decided to ignore her comment about his face getting bashed in.

“That’s usually how it works. A big fight and we go home,” he agreed, taking the moment to catch his breath as the creatures faded away, only to reveal the main creature itself, with its huge antlers and haunting appearance.

“Probably not a good idea to approach it,” he said, wiping away the sweat from his brow. He didn’t want to get in the way of the others trying to attack the monster, either.

Eternal Sailor Oberon, Senshi of Adventure

“Oh no,” Oberon grimaced as the forest Guardian revealed itself. It was obviously angry and its howl meant it would likely attack.

“No no, don’t attack it! It’ll back off if you have these things!” Oberon shouted to those around him, holding up the metal piece with the runes on it. “You don’t have to injure it any more than with these!”

Did he want to hurt it? No, but he needed to get it to retreat so everyone could leave. If it needed help, there had to be another way to help it than to have everyone there, right?

“I think it’s trapped here like us!”

Did he have any solid evidence of this? No. But why else would it be trying to catch them and not kill them? At least not kill them until now. He was pretty sure there was very little that could stop it from attacking.

General Benitoite 6+4
Prompt 3

Hearing Wolframite's voice made it easier to locate the other. He was glad to see Laven with him as well. "Good,, we're all together." It had taken him some time to get out of the cellar and reach solid ground, but he'd done it.

As the creatures seemed to become fewer and fewer he kept close to the other two, shivering from the chill of the mist and fog. "I have a feeling we're about to get hit with round two." Whatever that was he didn't know but the creatures were back, but moving slow. That was odd...were they waiting for something? Maybe the right time to jump all at once and drown everyone in their masses?

"Be on guard." He knew Wolframite was injured, made even worse at this point, and Laven he was sure wasn't in the best shape either. They were at a disadvantage but they had to do their best. While he couldn't teleport he could summon his weapon and he did just that, he was going to be prepared for whatever came.

And it did come. Watching the fog turn into something of a funnel the ashen blond took a step back. "I wish we'd run for those lights before now....I don't think we'll make it now." He didn't think they'd make anything now, not with this beast in their path.

When the beast was revealed he wasn't surprised by it but the eyes on it's feathers were creepy, as they had been the last time he'd seen the creature. It was like a peacocks feathers when they were used to look bigger and intimidate a predator. The roar had his hands going up to cover his ears, his weapon dropping to the ground as it was dropped from his fingers. When he was able to uncover his ringing ears he bent, slowly, and grabbed his staff up. Throwing it the best he could, moving his arm hurt, and he hoped to hit the thing. "Wolframite, Laven, I'll take up the front." Between the three of them he figured he was in the best shape, though he wasn't perfect he was likely better than they were.

Super Sailor Nephthys: 9+9
Prompt 3

The crash may have gained her attention but the little monsters kept it. She didn't trust them when they started to thin in numbers nor did she trust when they returned but were moving much slower. There was nothing about them for her to trust. These things looked dangerous and she as sure they were capable of more than they seemed capable of.

It was the sudden chill and heavy fog which had her shivering, her uniform was not meant to keep a person warm in fall or winter. But the sight of the fog condensing and forming some sort of a pillar had her stepping back, almost falling as she mis-stepped in her heels, and then there was something forming. Something becoming solid inside that pillar had her on guard as this as going to be bad, she knew it, there was no way that whatever was forming would be good.

When the fog dissipated and she could see what had been forming the senshi of vampires was quick to ready herself to attack - before it did. She knew it would attack and she needed to be quicker.

Before she could attack the monster was letting out a shattering roar that had her hands going to her ears as she bent in double to try and lessen the sound as much as possible. She didn't even notice the push back until she was straightening herself and noticed she'd moved places. "Bats in the belfry." Attacking the monster with whatever she could she could only hope her energy draining bats would do something.

General Aquamarine | Roll 2 Oops see next post for damage

As the fog creatures disappeared and the main source of the village’s troubles came to take their place, Aquamarine could not contain the shiver of fear that wracked his body. On instinct, he drew back a few steps, unwilling to face the creature again, not when his last encounter with it had ended so horribly. When the creature howled, Aquamarine winced and temporarily sent his weapon back to subspace, lifting his hands to his ears in a fruitless attempt to block the sound; the ferocious bellow increased the splitting pain in his head. The power of it knocked him off balance, sending him to his knees.

Though he’d given into hopelessness on occasion in the past, it was not a sentiment Aquamarine was used to.

But he felt it now.

He was not alone. The Corrupt Senshi was close enough that they could fight alongside one another again, and the rest of the village’s current inhabitants were scattered about, many of them drawing closer as the creature prepared to attack. This was not like that night in the forest, when he and the Corrupt Senshi could not put their mutual hatred aside long enough to fend the creature off. Tonight, there were enough agents, Senshi, and Knights around that they should have an easier time of it.

But none of them were Jet. Aquamarine was in just enough pain, and suffering through just the right amount of fear that he could admit to himself that Jet was all he really wanted. Just to know that he was alive, that he’d survived while Aquamarine was locked in the cellar with the others, that escaping now wasn’t a waste of what little energy Aquamarine had left…

Then, out of nowhere, with a relief so overwhelming Aquamarine sagged further against the forest floor, he saw Jet through the fog, approaching from the opposite side.

Jet!”

Of course the idiot was charging in without a second thought for himself. Aquamarine couldn’t say he’d expected any different.

With the last of his waning strength, Aquamarine forced himself back onto his feet. The pain of his injuries was so severe, he was almost numb to everything else. He glanced at the Corrupt Senshi, watching out for more of his magic, only to make a noise of disapproval when said Senshi did nothing more than throw a rock.

“I don’t know what the ******** you expect that to do,” Aquamarine said, his tone lacking its usual energy but still edged with a fair amount of scorn.

Rolling his eyes, Aquamarine summoned his dagger and passed it to the Senshi hilt first. “Use this if you can get close enough. Just don’t stab me in the back with it.”

With that, he summoned his rapier for himself, took a steadying breath and ignored the pain that nearly crippled him, then rushed forward to attack, ducking low and aiming for one of the creature’s legs.

Palatine, Squire of Venus | Not attacking

Palatine had no problem with standing by for now. The creature was large, but not so huge that dozens of them attacking at once wouldn’t risk putting them all in the range of friendly fire. She kept her tree branch at the ready, waiting for an opening while taking the opportunity to observe the creature’s behavior. This was her first time seeing it in the flesh. She’d spent every night of the last three weeks in the safety of one of the village houses, listening to the creature but not confronting it.

It really did look terrifying.

The howl it released was ear splitting. On instinct, Palatine lifted her free hand to block one ear, which didn’t do much good, of course, with the other still open to the auditory assault. The force of it sent her stumbling back, though she managed to remain on her feet.

“I’d wonder if we’d managed to piss it off if it hadn’t seemed pissy enough already,” she said. “I’m not sure if I believe your brother. There was a way out just before, wasn’t there? If it’s trapped here, too, why not just leave?”

Cinta Mahsa - Civilian | 1 + 3

After what seemed like forever, Cinta finally left the shelter in search of Safiya. Knowing her clever cousin, she'd cleverly seek out overlooked harvesting crops that were probably hidden among accessible properties nearby, hardly straying far from shelter.

Despite her best effort, the fog thickened and lest she knew it herself, she was trapped deep in the foggy forest. Right before her, a shadow loomed, multiple footsteps going to and fro and distinct sounds of various combatants were audible.

Suddenly, she heard a most frightful roar. She helplessly jumped and yelped. Scanning her surroundings warily, she noticed the fog dissipating, revealing a fairly clear path towards impending danger up ahead. She swallowed her spit and smiled warily. Cinta was frightened, but she was more frightened about not finding Safiya, so she continued onward.

"Safiya, where are you?" Cinta asked no one in particular.

She picked up a fairly sturdy stick from the ground as her civilian-class weapon of choice and continued forward, periodically swung her stuck against the thick pockets of fog and possibly at whatever that was dangerous.

Captain Wolframite
Half-Youma
Damage: 3 + 8 = 11

Prompt 3

It was colder and colder and he felt more and more grateful for his layers of uniform. The cellar had already been bad, but stepping out into the elements into this made him feel grateful it had been at least underground and enclosed. The temperature dropping only made every joint in him stiff, but he knew that he had to be at attention and give it what he had in order for them to get out of here with any microbe of a change.

"It took it's sweet time showing up. What did it even want us for in the first place." Aside from keeping them in the cellar. Maybe it had just wanted to harvest them to eat one by one later which wasn't how Wolframite had expected to die. Fighting - that was the way to go.

"At the ready then." He said, and gritted his teeth and pressed his hands flat upon his ears as it howled, tearing into his eardrums like a freight train before finally settling. It felt a deaf ringing for a while before he could start to hear again, and when it did, it was a all out war against the creature. The most he could do was lick his own claws and give it a good swipe.

X Coco guardian cat: Dam 1 + 3

Roll 2

Coco hissed and jumped at the big fog creature, she couldn't believe she found the courage. Once she was done she huffed a bit she had never done an activity like this. She was getting so tired. Trying to live in this village for 3 weeks was tiring. Trying to find food, trying to find a safe place to sleep. Trying to find a way out with no hope. She sighed it was all draining. She couldn't give up though. She moved to the edge of the battlefield dodging senshi and knights and all manner of figures battling. She needed a break before this situation broke her. She was just a little kitty after all.

Roll 2

Vela was still fighting she had a battle to win and she didn't care if she was tired or hungry. She wanted to win this battle and go home. She watched as the fog became a 10 foot creature. Well, that was different. She wasn't really sure how she was going to attack, so she just stood there a moment to watch the creature to figure out what it was doing before she went at it. She finally decided to attack kicking the monster rather than using her power attack since she could only use her attack so many times anyway.
