Character: Latros Current Square: 13 to 18 Response:
Latros had to continue running after their twin to catch up, a little embarrassed that they had been so distracted by the pressed flowers and other things that their sibling had simply left without them realizing it. They were close though! The familiar hybrid shape was slowly getting bigger now, bit by bit.
They stopped in what they had to guess was the ‘middle’ of the area, if anything. Everything seemed to lead here, a welcoming feeling in the air that begged them to stay awhile and listen, set up camp, identify items. It was as good a spot as any to take a break, since they had booked it after their twin when they had first realized.
Looking around, this place was beautiful. Pretty flowers, crunchy bugs, and clear skies as far as they could see, interrupted every so often by another person out there. What were they here for again? Looking for someone, or was it something? Maybe this spot was what they were looking for, so relaxing…
Buggy decided that this was not time for rest, and nipped Latros’ closest ear, eliciting a yelp from the daydreaming nightmare. ”Ugh. Maybe I should just call you Bitey, since that’s all you’ve been doing since I found you.” Bitey seemed to find this more favorable, and glided off of their shoulder, as if leading the way. After a few moments they spotted the familiar figure of Lycos in the distance. Right! They were catching up, no time to sit around yet! Scooping up the flitterat, they sped off the rest of the distance to their twin.

Character: Cyan Current Square: 25 to 19 Response:
After a much-needed reprieve at the lake, Cyan continued on her path. She seemed to finally be backtracking over some of the sections of the meadow that her fellow expedition members had already explored. It was always a good idea to have a fresh pair of eyes on the scene, just in case something was missed. Besides, not everyone who had come on the expedition wasn't exactly a professional at locating and finding people. Cyan had to do it for a living so she could get paid.
Once again, Cyan's exploration lead her to a section of -- gosh -- []b] more flowers. Cyan really wasn't all that surprised, but searching through so much tall grass and a thick spread of wildflowers certainly made it difficult to find anything concrete. However, Cyan had noticed the shift in atmosphere as she neared the forest, and for half a second she thought she could hear screaming in the distance.
Maybe it was just the wind.
Cyan glanced around just to be sure, and instead of finding a source for the eerie, distant sounds she was almost positive she heard she spotted a crown made of twigs. Was it made by one of the search party members? Or perhaps one of the guys who had gone into the forest? Now that Cyan thought about it, maybe those shouts were from the other team who had chosen to go into the forest.
Nah, they were probably fine. There were so many of them, after all. And there was safety in numbers. All the same, Cyan plucked the circlet from the ground with the intention of returning it to its owner.

Character: Coralynne Current Square: 23 to 22 Response: Coralynne was excited as she came to the stream in the valley she was now in. Twinkling in the sun light a stream in the distance looked cool and inviting. “I could really us a drink of water. How about you?” She voiced to her new companion who was now sitting quietly on her shoulder. And maybe you wash you hands and face? Her muse said with a disgusted look. Her muse was right though pollen and dirt cover Coralynne; she very much could us a bath.
Moving to the edge of the stream, Coralynne dipped her hands into the cold water which felt wonderful. Her companion landed on the ground next to her and a took a couple of beak fulls of water as she got clean. Once satisfied, the bird rested in the river rock by the stream and watch Coralynne patiently.
After washing her hands and face something caught her eye, across the way there was some very strange looking grass. That’s not grass you silly, her muse said with a roll of her eyes. “What is it then?” Coralynne said. The thing she though was grass looked more like hair; her type of hair. Not really sure what to make of it or how this hair could get here, Coralynne decide to move along. “Let’s keep searching?” she said to the bird and offered her arm for him to perch on again. Flying up to her arm and landing very carefully, they moved to the next area in search of the Doctor.

Character: Lycos Current Square: 18 to 19 Response:
If there was one thing Lycos knew well, it was that they knew very little about rings of mushrooms. With Latros actually running to catch up, and a grimm very nearby yelling her head off, Lycos....couldn't find themself caring too much. That, in and of itself, was a warning sign to those who knew the spiderfox, as Lycos, normally, would be grabbing onto their twin for dear life and worrying about the yelling grimm and...the opposite of what they were doing.
And what they were doing was leaning down towards the mushrooms. Seemingly looking at the indent that was once there to closer inspect it, but once thy god close enough, they swiped a clawed finger across the top of one of the mushrooms, then licked that finger quickly. Waiting a good few moments. Nothing. Calling over their shoulder 'It doesn't taste great!' to their twin.
Well, nothing happened immediately, and, satisfied with their inspection, started to move on. Though, this time, they had the presence of mind to wait for Latros.
The Grimm, however, was a different story. And after taking their experimental finger swab, gave her a curious look. However...their mind felt a little too dull to say anything out loud. They did want to tell them that things were fine, look, they had a lot of flowers! And that Clare wouldn't put them in danger, she was so very nice and she was going to give them a degree! But even as they opened their mouth, the words died on their tongue. It felt like a pillow was being pressed against their brain, muffling most everything except 'Find, Twin, Flowers, Danger'...And even that last one was starting to slip away slowly, moment by moment.

Character: Devon Current Square: 14 to 19 Response: Devon sighed as they continued onwards. This trip so far had been mostly boring and aimless for them so far, the only upside being their new familiar companions. While it was important to have some a medical professional on trips like this and it was good that no one was hurt, they were finding having so little to do just…. Mind-numbingly boring. How do people not stay busy all the time? Well, in any case, they made up their mind that next time, some other doctor can do this instead!
They were dragged out of their own mind by a loud scream. Well, s**t. Even though they were bored, they didn't actually want people to get hurt! And they weren't much of an athlete, damn it! With a huff, they took off towards the scream, though they knew they weren't going to be able to reach it any time soon.
They glanced over, noticing a purple woman approaching from the east. Just as well, Devon was all out of breath. Having someone to help with the search seemed like a grand idea “Did” They paused, leaning over with their hands on their knees as they tried to catch their breath. The wheezing might have been a bit more embarrassing if not for the pressing circumstances. “You hear where the screaming was coming from? I think-” they paused as they spotted another person approaching from the east. They looked… off. Confused. What the hell was going on?
“Excuse me, are you alright?” They frowned as they stepped towards them.

Character: Latros Current Square: 18 to 19 Response:
Latros huffed and puffed as they finally caught up to their twin, a bit surprised to find trees out here in the middle of a field of flowers. Even more curious was the state their twin was in, they seemed to have slowed down, most of their eyes were glazed over a bit. Latros’ ears perked up to try and hear what they were saying. ”Find. Twin.” Latros gave them a fanged grin and nodded. ”Yup, I found you, don’t worry. I’ll...try not to get distracted again, promise!”
”Flowers. Danger…” Latros looked around a bit, there wasn’t really any flowers growing in the shade of the trees, but there were flowers all around them. Maybe their twin knew something about the field of flowers that they didn’t?
They did spot the ring of mushrooms, with the weird indent in the middle. Stepping carefully into the ring, they crouched down to examine the indent, Bitey jumping around urgently as if to warn them of something. ”Hey! Calm down, don’t worry Bitey, we can stay in here where it’s safe, the mean flowers can’t get us here.”
The mushrooms looks pretty nifty though. Lycos had said they didn’t taste great, but that didn’t mean they didn’t taste horrible right? Besides, they seemed fine, if a little too relaxed, but who could blame them? This place was pretty cozy, and they could see all around them. Without any further delay, they poked a neat looking mushroom, apologizing to the fungus, before licking their finger. Lycos was right, they didn’t taste great at all, just like...mushrooms. Bleh.
They went to go join Lycos and figure out what to do next, when everything seemed to slow down, but they were still able to move at a normal speed. Bitey looked especially neat soaring through the air, wings glowing faintly. Words were hard, like their mouth couldn’t keep up with the demand they were being asked. ”Lycos? Con...tinue? Screams? Where?”

Character: Sierra Current Square: 18-19 Response: Sierras eyes widened as she watched what transpired before her in horror. Two obviously hallowed beings,....or was it one they looked so similar……..no had to be two, one was in the ring one out of it and they didn’t look the greatest to start with and OMG did one of them just eat a mushroom.....
Sierra stood very still as she was poked by one of the hallowed kids, she forced a claming smile to her face and nodded gently. They were clearly part Kumiho...thus a day dream and she should be cautious…..also….all those eyes……..So as they stood there she looked closely…..they had….claws…….perhaps part Litch- Maybe not as bad as she’d thought. Maybe they were part of the expedition.
“Well hello there! I am Sierra part of the expidition to find Dr. Horn. I’m here to help. I’m a friend of Clare’s….Clare Honeymint.”Sierra spoke very calmingly, slow and clear. “She is on her way here, right now…….*or else Sierrra was gonna personally take great pleasure in…..well Fantasize another time*I called out for help..and she’s comming…." What if they were hypnotized by the flowers.........in euphoria or paranoia or going comatos......
Watching them as they began to wander away she decided to follow. Gently she said “Can I stay with you guys please? So that Clare can find all of us and help us stay safe?”
Holy Nine what had she gotten herself into. Now she was turned topsy turvery and had no idea what to do but stay with these two for sure.... they may have ingested mushrooms....and people were coming to help so stay with. Sierra raised her voice slightly pitching it to carry. " Are you guys part of the expedition.....Part of CLARES expidtion?" Hopefully help was comming soon.

Prompt for Square 19 Something blots out the sun for a moment. Looking for the source of the sudden eclipse, you see a shadow dive towards you. A 'woosh' goes past you and suddenly you see a large, brightly coloured bird land on the small tree in front of you. It sits for a moment with its large wings outstretched, soaking in the light. You've never seen a creature quite like it, but it seems intrigued enough to follow you.
Prompt for Square 22 Dancing amongst the flowers, occasionally jumping up and kicking its hooves, is a fluffy young kidden. It seems as happy as... well... a kidden in wildflowers. As soon as you approach it, the kidden bounds gleefully towards you, offering up a flower in its mouth.

Character: Coralynne Current Square: 22 to 21 Response: As Coralynne search for the doctor in the new area she wondered where everyone had gone to. It was strange she could have sworn she heard something like howl, but it was so distant that it could have been the wind on the trees. Shaking her head and choking the sound up to her mind playing tricks on her, she kept moving on.
In the flowers before her, Coralynne saw something jumping up and down. Coming closer she seen that it was about the cutest kidden she had ever seen. “AWWW aren’t you soooo cute.” Coralynne gusted over the kidden. As soon as the kidden spotted Coralynne, she trotted over and offered a beautiful flower form her mouth. Coralynne took the flower happy. “Well thank you sweetie.” Coralynne bent down to retrieve the flower. She really liked this kidden and hoped they could be friends. “You would happen to have seen a Doctor come through with his crew, now would you?” Coralynne asked not sure if the kidden would even understand her. Shacking her head, Coralynne could have sworn she see the kidden smile at her but that just wasn’t possible. It has to be the flowers, she thought to herself.
“Well I better keep moving. We only have a few more days of searching for the Doc.” Coralynne moved straight ahead pasting through the flowers the kidden had been dancing in moments ago. Or was it a moments, the sun seemed to be a lot lower then she thought it should be. Time seemed to be slipping away from her, but she knew she had to keep moving. The beautiful kidden trotted behind Coralynne following her happily.

Character: Maarika Current Square: 19 to 24 Response:
The sudden darkness above her caused Maarika to look up, and she saw the bird overhead. Her brows came together as she watched the way it sped past her in a low dive to get to the branches, her hands moving to protect her newly found friends. When the bird seemed only interested in watching, and following her, she relaxed a little, and said "So long as you do not try to eat my other friends, you are welcome with us. I shall call you Domiel, for as long as you choose to follow us." She gave the bird a smile, not having any clue if the bird understood, or cared, but she had done her best.
She considered her options... East, North, or West, because she was NOT wasting her time by backtracking. Finally, she turned to continue North, her eyes focused on the skyline ahead of her. She wanted to try to find everything she could, get as far as she could. This trip had been strange, strange indeed... She paused for a moment, and turned back to Domiel, and she lifted her camera to take a photograph of him. If he decided to leave, to no longer be a companion for whatever reason, she would have a photograph, and his unique colors and feathers would make for a great inspiration.
She could almost see it already, actually... A pectoral piece based on those feathers in his tail, perhaps. It would be lovely, and make for a good base for enchantments that guarded against damage from nature. After the photo was taken, she got moving again, heading towards the North. (WC: 272)

Character: Devon Current Square: 19 Response: Devon glanced over at the purple imp hybrid for a moment before they walked to the hallowed hybrid slowly and calmly. It was difficult for them to maintain their normal demeanor of calmness- they were still quiet out of breath and wheezing slightly. They made a mental note to self to consider taking up a physical activity after they returned home. “I am a doctor. If you can, I need you to focus on me and tell me what happened. This is very important.” The frowned as they watched them carefully. This place had several unknown plants and animals, it could be any sort of thing that caused this. For example, the strange bird that was swooping around them. That was certainly a new thing.
It wasn’t long before more people showed up: another hallowed hybrid that matched the first, and Sierra, the grimm that he had ridden in the carriage with. They also were behaving oddly. They glanced between the three of them. This place didn’t seem safe. “Perhaps it might be best if we head back to the carriages. I do not believe you are in any state to continue the search at this moment. It will be easier for me to assess your conditions in a place where we can all sit down.” They made sure to get eye contact with each of his new patients- hopefully he actually had something that could help them. It would be difficult to figure out what the exact problem was. It wasn’t like they had a portable medical lab with them.
They turned back to the woman they had address earlier. “I may need some help leading them back, is this something you can assist me with?”

Character: Kerrick Current Square: 9 to 14 Response:
As Kerrick walked towards the next area to explore he noticed something strange. The horizon which was so easily seen suddenly vanished before his eyes and turning about in a circle as he stepped into the new area all he could see was these brightly colored flowers everywhere the eye could see. It was as if they were trying to blind you with their colors and sheer numbers. It was a breathtaking but unusual sight to behold.
Misfit became a bit antsy so he set him down right in front of him so he could explore a bit. He stroked the soft hair of his other new familiar friend who he had yet to name. "You know I have not given you a name, I need to do that" he sat down among the flowers and literally got swallowed up by them. If anyone happened along they would not see him until they were on top of him. He softly stroked his Fluffbug friend and began thinking of names for them. "Winston, Kelan, Hobert, Hugh, Wendy, Candy, ummm. What I wonder what gender you are? It was easy to tell with Misfit he was a boy but you I have no clue" he said with a small laugh. "I will just name you something that both genders can use something like Chris or Lee. Turning his head he saw his new friend hovering just a bit above his palm. "Don't like those names huh? Hmm ok, how about Hover? You seem to do that alot and it fits you" he shrugged and waited to see what his new friend would do.
The Fluffbug seemed to like this name as they began hovering even higher as if in agreement. Kerrick smiled and called for Misfit so they could try to find their way to the next area.

Character: Cyan Current Square: 19 to 18 Response:
Bird. Check. People high on mushrooms --- wait, what!?
Cyan blinked, watching the scene unfold before them. Cyan really wasn't sure what to make out of this expedition anymore. Were people seriously high on the job, or did somebody eat something they found not knowing what it was? How embarassing. Cyan listened to the litch talk, her eyes darting back and forth between all parties involved. It seemed the litch was a doctor, and these two strange twins that Cyan had first on the carriage were just dead weight now.
"Take them to Clare first. Or let her know passing by on the way that you're headed for the carriage. My first priority is going to be trying to locate Dr. Horn or finding clues. There are plenty of other people who can assist ... no hard feelings." Cyan tried to be as delicate and kind in her inflection as possible, but she honestly was just a smidge annoyed. She wasn't here to babysit. She was here to work.
As an after thought, Cyan turned back to offer a few parting words before moving on. "I hope you guys feel better ... " She did genuinely mean it. But she did also feel a little conflicted. The twins just seemed naive and overly curious. Were they aware of what was really going on? Cyan didn't know ... she barely knew them after all. She was trying not to pass judgment, but ...
Well, it was a little hard right now. "You look like you've got things covered, Doc. So I'll keep moving on." Cyan offered them all an apologetic smile. She had to prioritize things a little different.
Now, what was she going to name this pretty little bird.

Character: Sierra Current Square: 19 Response: Sierra breathed a sigh of relief as she saw the Dr. come huffing and wheezing up. She wasn’t alone with the pair of twins that may or may not be mentally compromised……. due to potential mushrooms.
As Devon asked for help back to the carriage and was rejected- albeit polietly she nodded to the dedicated Imp Hybrid. “I believe there is a kirin woman named Coralynne who has found some interesting things- But may also be suffering from effects of the yellow flowers- be cautious of those- …….she talked about a clue in a frost patch and that she was heading into the forest……*she pointed the direction she had last heard from the kirin.*
Briefly she told the Dr. what she surmised about the flowers….especially the yellow ones. She said that she wasn’t sure she wasn’t under some of the effects of them too. She also let it slip that she had studied potions and herbology in depth at Leviathan and if she could get a fire going to make some herbal teas…….” Well there is a chance I have some herbs on me that could help…..” she finished off lamely. “I mean, I don’t know the specifics of what may have affected them but there are some all round good cures for hallucinogenics, sedative and the like. and if nothing else the poor dears look like they could use a hot cuppa to…..welll, put them to bed perhaps? *Sierra slipped back into her motherly role and fought to not laugh. At this rate she might need to have a cup of her own medicine. Those flowers we doozies.* “ I won’t do anything without your ok Doctor, *she gave them a deferential nod* “But I am happy to explain to you in depth what I propose and have you take stock of the situation…..” On the other hand we could wait to see how symptoms develope and continue the search keeping as much of our group together as possible….*her head tilted in thought* I’m not sure what would be best.”
