Arthur the Order Guardian CatArthur generally didn't make it a habit to investigate weird energy signatures, but he was close by and such a sudden and large signature had him wondering what was going on. Curiosity - as it went. He just hoped it wouldn't get him in the end.
As he entered the mist, he moved to feel more energy signatures moving in the powerful mist. It was harder and harder to track now. It was easier to rely and smell and sight, and he soon moved to spot someone familiar.
"Chemo!" He said, leaping up onto the girl's shoulders and purring loudly. "Do you know what is happening?"

Allegra Marchesa"Erm. I am? I have never had anyone accuse me of that before, to be utterly honest, but if you say so." His suggestion that she follow him had her brows lifting as he moved towards the exit of the park. "Like I said... We can not go that way. I really have no idea what is causing this, but it is very much in the way, and not at all how I would prefer my evening to go." Cuddled up with a cutie, back at her friend's house, eating and talking and laughing... Even in her room, practicing with her instrument was better then being trapped in these dark shadows. It was too much like being alone on a day when she was having trouble keeping the bright mask of happiness on, even with this odd young person here. Their judgement of her did not make it easier... She had no idea if they meant it as an insult or just the way things were, but it made her uncomfortable, because comments like that could lead her thoughts down the paths of self judgement too. And then he said something about magic. "Magic? Magic, really? I... Well, if Magic is real it would certainly explain all that weird stuff I hear about in the news but that seems a bit hard to believe... And yet, here we are, unable to leave a park, in lighting that is rather seriously unnatural. So, shall we?" She gave a half bow, and gestured towards the center of the park, before beginning to walk in that direction herself.

Cheomseongdae, Page of CosmosCheom was startled, initially, by the sudden weight... The rather large energy signature she was suddenly enveloped in was more then a tad distracting... But then she gave a weak smile, as she realized who had joined her. "Arthur. It is good to see you, but no... I don't have any idea what is going on here." She reached up to carefully balance her (currently) smaller friend, making sure that when she moved he would not need to use his claws to hold on to her in any way, and she began making the attempt to get back OUT of the mist. When this proved to be both pointless and frustrating, she turned back and moved away from the line that seemed to mark the 'Thou Shalt Not Pass' point. She found a bench and moved to settle herself down on it, patting her lap to offer Arthur a more comfortable perch. "Do you have any ideas, Arthur? If not, we might need to explore a little."

Page Aogashima of CosmosAogashima was taking in the sights, wondering if maybe she should start singing anyway, when a young man dressed in dark colors and carrying a toy turnip started talking to her. Inexperienced as she was, Tochi hadn't yet figured out there were different factions, some of which were enemies. Also, she still hadn't quite figured out what pages were supposed to be. Kenkyuusei, perhaps? Either way, he was calling her adorable, and she beamed, thinking this meant she was doing a great job at being an idol. "Thanks! I've been told my smile is my charm point," she answered cheerfully, without a second thought.

Basiluzzo Page of UranusBasiluzzo had admittedly been excited to learn how things operated from Encke's side of the board. After so much time with Encke out alone, Basiluzzo was just glad to be out there with him. At least this way he didn't feel like he'd be in the way if he tried to follow along, and at least this way he'd have some recourse if something happened. Enough had already happened to him as Richard that he didn't really have any illusion about if anything could happen while he was Basiluzzo. Hell, from what he understood, there was even the likelihood that being Basiluzzo instead of Richard would draw even more attention. Only, this time, it wouldn't be his energy or whatever the hell that they were after. He still remembered Faustite, and not fondly. Encke had been very clear that Basiluzzo was not to confront Faustite under any circumstance should they run into one another, but Basiluzzo would be a liar if he said there wasn't a part of him that was sorely tempted to disregard that warning. Luckily, he didn't tend to be a fool any more than he tended to be a liar. That being said, when the black mist surrounded them, Basiluzzo stuck close to Encke. He'd felt the "weight", sure, though he hadn't quite realized what it was until Encke said something. But now it didn't look like they had any choice in the matter. So, at the very least, he didn't want to get separated. "So what do you want me to do, then?"

Order Mauvian Etoile"Oh yes, it's most unfortunate," Etoile said, very matter-of-factly, "You should come over to my house sometime instead- we can have lots of sweets and there's no danger at all." Just recently, she had had her very first Mauvian visit, which had went over very well, and looked forward to the idea of it happening again. If she could have even more cats come to visit... it would be even better! -- Chibi Super Lepus"... I mean, I don't mind, if you guys wanna come over and hang out, but don't come over unannounced, where my mom might see," Lepus amended, not wanting to necessarily rain on Etoile's parade- she wanted to get to know more of the talking star cats, too- but anything that risked attracting unwanted attention from her family, especially her mom, was a definite 'no'. "I'm Lepus, senshi of rabbits," she told Bernard, figuring she didn't really need to specify she was a chibi senshi still (though hopefully not for much longer), "So you're one of Etoile's friends, then?"

Eion Risk"Play mental gymnastics with it if you want." What this girl believed — how stubbornly she thrust her head into the sand — was a decision with which only she should be concerned.Eion's fingers trailed down the invisible barrier, waiting, testing, assessing.
How cripplingly blind ey was here, with no auric sense to inform on this strange predicament. This trap. Whoever sprung it with a collection of different people, by look — senshi and agent, perhaps knight, dark mirror. Why trap this group? Was it for one person? What a question. But 'why' wasn't the question asked to buy their passage out of the park and back into their lives, back into their skin. 'Why' was the question belonging to socialites for time to waste on their own boredom. 'What' was for the engineers, the magic aficionados. 'How' was for the victims, the kidnapped plenty.
As Eion's thought's returned, his new companion grew theatrically insistent about the park canter, which only lured them closer to the too-fast likes of powered individuals. Would she notice how much more quickly they moved, reacted, sped away in a sense of danger? Would she write it off as natural marvels of the human body when she watches one crest a tree? Eion smiled to emself.
Hands slipping into pockets, Eion acquiesced to her direction. "You remind me of someone. He liked theatrics too — and spending his words surdly. There's a charm to it, isn't there?" His attention lit on the trees, on unrecognized faces, on how mottled bruise of shadow and light reshaped brilliant color and flawless makeup into the same pallor.
He died from something like this. Another magical occurrence. A boy melting into a monster." Eion half-turned with the girl still following em, their names unsaid, their identities trapped in themselves, their sense suspended, their allegiance temporary. "What a waste."

Ella Barnett
School was out and coding was done, which meant that Ella had no other way to start her year than with sick jams and a stroll in the park. People said the fresh air was supposed to clear one's head, and while she normally preferred nothing more than to just sit in her room with her headphones on and a game up, she found that she kept thinking about her phone and texting a certain someone from work. Ella wanted to know about one Reid Covey, AKA Coveyboy, how he was feeling, what his new year plans were. She wanted to know if he'd liked being invited over to her place for burnt popcorn and Mario Kart, if he'd meant what he said about Shy Guy being his favorite, if he knew the way her stomach did backflips whenever he stopped scowling and just relaxed. It was mostly when he wasn't looking at her, of course, which made sense, but Ella couldn't help but think about what it might feel like to have him look at her with that same comfort.
Then again, she also knew that catching feelings was basic, and while it gave her plenty of warm fuzzy feelings to stave off the cold, it wasn't a cute look. Ella was no common thirsty teenager--she was twenty now, which meant she was an adult, and adults took walks for the fresh night air where they didn't think about how it would be both beautiful and terrifying to feel someone else's hand clasp her own. She'd really blown it when she'd fallen asleep before midnight, but then again, she was pretty sure Reid would have gagged if she'd thought to bring up the whole New Year's kiss thing. Kisses at midnight were for girls with nice hair and sequin dresses, and she'd been wearing nintendo pajamas and had kernels in her teeth. Even now, she rocked something more casual, hands snug in the pocket of her Argent hoodie with headphones over her ears. She wondered what sort of girl Reid liked, but knew deep down that she was not that girl.
As she paced, the air started to look more smoky than fresh, and her quiet sulking began to feel occupied by the presence of people. A lot of people. More people than Ella had spoons for. Making a face, she turned up her music and turned to walk the other way--only to smack her head against a wall of smoke that had seemed perfectly transparent until a moment ago.
"The heck?" Ella rubbed at her forehead, then placed a hand on the invisible 'wall'. "How does that even work?" Pouting to herself, she paced along the edge of the perimeter, looking for an easy place to sneak back out. On a whim, she reached for her phone and started to text for help, only to realize that she didn't have bars in the park.
Well this was just peachy. How was she supposed to sulk now?

Chauvet Page of Cosmos
Best we can do is damage control while keeping alive.
Chauvet tried to hold onto that idea, keep it close to her heart like a lantern against the gloom of the holiday season. It had been a year--an entire year--since she'd learned the truth about her wonder, and for what? Everything she'd set out to accomplish was undone. Work sucked, she was kicked out of school, and her family still didn't know the truth.
But these were problems for future Chauvet, as they'd been for the last year, and so she did the same thing as usual--wandered, until something pretty distracted her from the yawning ache between her ribs. In this case, it was less something pretty, and more something...massive and unknowable. Chauvet thought it had a nonzero chance of being something cryptid-related, which was enough to bear investigating, but on the off chance that it happened to be a Negaverse operation, then she guessed she'd die.
She hopped into the mist and among a throng of people, but her focus locked in on a particular person, a familiar set of garters that had a face attached. The pirate senshi wouldn't know who Chauvet was, but man, Chauvet knew her. She couldn't stop wondering if that coat was as warm as it looked, or how far that bodice went underneath. It sparked her curiosity. She had to know.
Sidling up to Stillwaterite, Chauvet looked around, pretending to be casual, and then put on her best charming smile. "Didn't know they were throwing a party out in the park," she said by way of greeting, complete with a noncommittal shrug. "Pretty crazy, huh?"

General Zircon
When Sweetite hadn't been early for her quota dropoff, Zircon had been patient but disappointed. When she hadn't been on time, her mood slowly ticked over to annoyed, and then as the minutes stretched to late, her irritation morphed to worry. The streets were not a safe place for a lone corrupt, and Zircon couldn't help but imagine what White Moon forces would do if they got to her. Still, she had another lieutenant under her wing to consider, and it would not do for her to panic as an example of their first night on patrols.
That being said, when her tablet lit up with a new message from Sweetite, Zircon stopped pacing and pulled the device into existence from subspace, staring intently as it relayed the news. "Don't engage, I'm on the way," Zircon quipped back into the tablet, and then with a blink she dismissed it, settling her sharp gaze on Aventurine. He was too green for Zircon to feel good about bringing him in to a hostile situation, but there was no teacher like necessity. "Get ready, lieutenant. It looks like we're in for a busy evening." She didn't wait for him to take her hand--instead, she reached for his, and by her will the world around them shifted to the edge of the nearest park, suddenly overwhelmed by a cacophony of auras and a strange dark mist.
Zircon didn't have much of a chance to think of a strategy--a strange force pulled at her, nearly knocking her off balance as she tumbled into the mists. She nearly staggered where she landed, holding on to her lieutenant's arm for balance, and she scowled as her eyes glazed over the assembled crowd, order and chaos alike. "Stay close and keep your wits about you," Zircon murmured to Aventurine, letting go of him to take a few steps forward. "This is an extraction and then we're leaving." Zircon saw no need to stay for an event where brawling was likely, not with two fledglings who weren't ready for the realities of war.
She summoned her tablet again, pinging her last known contact. "Sweetite? We're in the mists, where are you?" Scanning through the faces, she thought she might have seen the shock of Sweetite's pink hair...but she glanced over a pink eyepatch first. Zircon made no moves towards Eurydike, nor did she say anything, but her eyes smiled even though her mouth didn't. It was nice to see a kindred spirit, and so recovered, too.Quote: Zircon is open for interactions!

Basic Corrupt Senshi VersaillesVersailles could feel his eye trying to twitch as he heard the other talking in their "Southern" accent. It was one of the most horrible combinations he had ever seen or heard. He supposed that the Negaverse was desperate. No, this other corrupt would certainly not be on his list of "acquaintances" on his known corrupt list. He shrugged. "I would assume the palace. Though I didn't get to choose my name, I think it fits though." He said, moving the hair that fell in front of his face again behind his ear. He noticed the switch in her accent, but said nothing. Clearly this corrupt was making fun of him. Well now, he had someone he could compete with at least, if they were any good. He took the offered hand, though he shook it lightly, not wanting to lower himself to doing what he figured she wanted him to do. He let go of their hand, but instead crossed his arms. "I suppose we have now, though I still haven't gotten your name. But I'll get it in time." He said, giving her a small smile. He wasn't one to play fake, but he would do what he needed to get to the top, and if he needed to crush this corrupt in the process, he would do so. Though this other senshi was starting to annoy him. What did they think this was? A beauty contest? Or some kind of fake show? He was surprised that the Negaverse got anything done at this point considering how competitive they were against each other. Syrie I could be blind and just have missed Mab giving him their name, so just poke me if I did! The current situation between them: hiss hiss hiss! edit: added more words to make 500 XP

Lieutenant Aventurine
He was there because General Zircon had required it.
Getting his feet under him was something that he was relatively unfamiliar with these days. There were very few things that Gansey had to dothat he wasn't proficient at. This whole...thing he'd agreed to was a learning process full of things that he hadn't decided if he cared for or not.
Still, he was willing to pretend that he was as great at this new venture of his life as he was with everything else.
And if that meant letting the general mother hen him, grouchily he might add, then so be it.
When she teleported him, he felt light headed, even more so when whatever they'd found at the park was pulling them in, the energy strange and compelling. Had Zircon not been using him for support, he might have walked off towards it.
"Extraction for...what?" Or who, he didn't know and he wasn't certain how much he cared.

Arthur the Order Guardian Cat "I have absolutely no idea." He said with full confidence as he slid off her shoulder into her lap. "But whatever it is, it's not normal and certainly might hurt some innocent people. It's best to be on guard and careful of this mist. This could be Chaos related and we'll need to see a way to get rid of it."
He curled up in her lap, glad for a few pets during a mission. "Should be look for others?"

Scamander Page of Jupiter
"I've heard Jupiter knights are about storms n' stuff," said Scamander, plucking at the very vibrantly pink uniform top. Really, it didn't bother him so much; it was a nice color, even if it wasn't exactly what he would have picked under normal circumstances. "This doesn't exactly scream storms, but y'know, it's not all that bad. It could be worse; I could be in silver spandex or somethin'."
He grinned over at Pendour. "Neptune is pretty cool, though. Water, right?"
His accent made the t of right kind of slide off at the end. Nathaniel's gaze flickered over Pendour's face, lingering momentarily on the scars, then away again, his demeanor relaxed and casual. No point in making anyone feel uncomfortable in their own skin, whatever the reason was for it. He himself had a few things he'd prefer not to discuss, and he was all too aware of his own self-consciousness at times.
"Oh, the Negaverse." Nathaniel nodded, mulling this over. "I haven't had any real run-ins with them yet, I don' think, but I've heard o'them. They're the ones all in black, right? I've only ever heard they're the ones to look out for. Think this is one of their big things?"

Corrupt Eternal StillwateriteBeing surrounded by Chaos signatures, it was like a spot of ink on a clean piece of paper when the Order signature showed up. Brows lifted into bangs as Stillwaterite slowly turned to regard the knight who just sidled up beside her. Well. She could not deny that that took confidence, craziness, or a bit of both, and she had to hand it to the woman. She was amused and impressed. "We didn't know either." She returned. " Surprise~" The corrupt paused, though, as the bottle in her hands started to vibrate.

The air around you begins to vibrate. You can feel it---and next thing you know, the dark mist swirls faster and harder---and then it starts to rapidly funnel back into the bottle it came from.
Oh...and it's taking you with it!

Eurydike"Didn't anyone ever tell you kids ' just 'cause you can doesn't mean you should'?!" he snapped back in a gasping sort of growl. "We don't know what the ******** this trouble is, an' there's ********' generals crawlin' all over this place! Just ********' trust me on this, you gotta be - " He missed a beat, catching sight of one general in particular. " - careful, " he finished, trying to keep the same fire alight in his voice, looking away and trying to pretend that he hadn't seen the smile in her eyes. But it was like the wind had been knocked out of his sails, and his heart was pounding so loud in his chest, he might as well have been pounding on his damn drums. Eurydike swallowed hard. "Just. We're stuck here now, so. Stick close, okay?" You sayin' that for their benefit or yours, tough guy? Then, whoosh, away they went.
