Stillwaterite intently examined the ship in a bottle as she stepped into one of Desinty City's many parks with Mintaka at her side. Inside there was something shining---"Hey Mintaka---there's something sparkling in here I didn't see before. What do you think it is?"

The corrupt was curious, so she pulled the cork on the bottle---

Only as soon as she did so, the pleasant looking ship inside dissipated into a swirling dark mist.

"Don't you know..." Said a voice, seemingly echoing from within the bottle as the mist swirled, spinning more rapidly inside the bottle. "Cursed are those who are curious---they'll suffer consequences."

Before the corrupt could say anything else, much less process her surprise, the dark mist erupted from the bottle she was holding, and encased the entire park and the block it occupied.

gaia_crown WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

gaia_star ICly

  • Somewhere in a park downtown in Destiny City, an incredibly odd and powerful magical signature has now appeared on your radar. You're drawn to the signature if you weren't caught up in the radius before. If you're a civilian, you just feel this strange and urgent pull to check out the park!
  • An entire block is encased in a dark swirling mist...just in case the energy reading wasn't a good enough reason to check it out
  • Upon approaching the area, you find yourself pulled right in! Any attempt to get out is proved useless. Touching the edge of the barrier feels like touching a solid glass wall
  • Inside, the park has an odd color cast to it. Things that should be their regular color are shrouded in various shades of blues, purples and blacks

gaia_star OOCly

  • Welcome to the start of Bottled!
  • You're at the introduction. Here you can RP your character(s) arriving and getting sucked in. Feel free to mingle and talk or freak out until the next portion!

  • This event will ICly take place in 1 night
  • If you want something specific to happen to your character during this event, please PM Pixie Nyxie or myself, and we will work with you to make it possible!

Mintaka - Eternal DMC of Origami

Mintaka didn't know what to expect. The bottled ship from mirrorspace had been nothing more then a trinket. A small token to give Still for her time spent there.

What she had not expected it to be, was a trap.

It was just like Pandora's Box all over again, except this time......

"So...." Mintaka smiled at Stillwaterite, as black encompassed the park. It looked darker, meancing.

When she tried to leave, she found she couldn't. "I think we have released a very fun party trick."

General Aurostibite

He had no idea how he'd gotten here.

Mintaka and Stillwaterite had gone out, that much Aurostibite knew. He himself had been patrolling idly around the area, half to keep an eye out for any misgivings, and half because he'd been restless at their house, and needed to take a break from the endless monotony of grading the most recent of literature exams.

Which was when he'd found his wife and her friend, because they were apparently stuck in the same sort of strange and discomfiting section of the city as he was. Aurostibite had given them both a slightly startled look, because in truth, he hadn't expected to see either of them, and now he walked closer, coming to a stop beside Mintaka.

"What exactly is going on..?" he asked, brows furrowed. His hand come up instinctively, a light touch to his wife's arm.

"What happened?"

[ Hydrus - Super DMC of the Leviathan ]

Not again.... He stood within the swirling mist and let his face fall into a hand. His sister and her... insufferable tendancy to open things that shouldn't be opened. At least they weren't trapped in Mirror Space this time. He let his other hand fall on Mintaka's shoulder and sighed.

Loudly.

"Dearest Sister... why...." he said, head hanging and coming to rest on hers. He wasn't mad, he wasn't upset. He was just.

Tired. So tired.

Scamander Page of Jupiter

Sometimes Scamander had the distinct feeling that life was playing one large cosmic joke on him.

Literally. As in, the cosmos had decided that he needed to be thrown into space, and so here he was, in space.

This latter part was perhaps not true. Scamander had never exactly been to space, but he was relatively certain that he would know if he was in space, and also he thought that maybe space wasn't quite so crowded with a group of people who looked as though they also had no real idea of what was happening or where they were.

Hands sliding into the pockets of his pants, Scamander took in his surroundings with the casual eye of one who has been given a great inconvenience but doesn't feel the need to make a big deal out of it. He supposed it could be worse - they could be in some sort of black hole or hellscape - and at least he'd eaten before he'd gone out for the night.

Hopefully he'd make it back before morning. He had a class at ten.

Acubens had been out on a whim. She was ahead on her quota and so had no real reason to be out energy gathering, and really powering up was just a safety precaution for her midnight strolls. Even with her life settling nicely around her, Acubens still groped around for sleep on some nights only to be left lying awake and annoyed. Usually, her walks helped to calm whatever nerves were too frayed for sleep, and being Acubens assured that no ner-do-gooder would bother her while she was out.

And that park did it's part too. It was a peaceful place as it was, but at night it held an almost surreal beauty. Like a breath just sucked in a held, waiting. Like a paused frame or a hanging note of music. It felt like Acubens had fallen into some kind of liminal space between realities, and she loved it. It felt sort of... voyeuristic. Like she was in a space that was not hers and seeing something she was not meant to see. It made her blush and giggle. Made her feel... wicked.

Speaking of seeing things that she wasn't there to see, Acubens rounded a flower bed lined with tall, conical trees, and spied a very familiar far. A purple and red senshi with white hair that she had not seen since Pandora.

Mintaka!

Oh Acubens had been so worried about her! Unable to find her or contact her in any way, Acubens had tried to hope for the best, but she had been fretting about the worst! She seemed fine though, standing with a corrupted senshi that she did not recognize. And where normally there was trepidation around those individuals of the negaverse, Acubens was far more concerned with checking in on Mintaka than she was avoiding the gaze of the negaverse.

"Minta-"

She had begun to call out with a raised hand when suddenly everything went black. For a moment the whole world spun and tilted as Acubens tried to realign herself with the new environment. And once she did, her tone turned from genial to concern again as she called out, "Mintaka?!"

Mauvian Wendell

A sleek brown cat with a red bandanna draped over one eye came leaping into view as soon as the darkness came about. He had been out exploring - as usual - and out banishing villains and seeing that the future of Destiny City was secured - as usual - and he had been about to take a walk to go see if his beloved Oberon was awake so that he could report his duties, but that had been very rudely interrupted.

Now he stood on all four legs, peering up at the space around him, golden eyes blinking balefully at what he could see. There wasn't much, but it was something, sort of.

He gave a theatrical sigh.

"AVAST, THESE PIRATICAL BEINGS HAVE SPIRITED US AWAY, HAVE THEY?"

Sailor Sweetite

Patrolling was a tedious obligation but one that didn't take too much effort from the young woman wearing the flapper-like attire. If she managed to find any nefarious or skeevy looking men, it typically meant her night was set, as far as her energy requirement went. On evenings where rarely anyone lurked about in alleyways or side streets... well, it cost a little more energy out of the corrupt senshi to meeting her quota than she would have liked.

Tonight, however, seemed to be one of those nights that would require far more out of her than she cared to exert. She'd noted the strange energy source coming from near the park and had decided to investigate but, as curiosity was known for killing cats, so it seemed Sweetite had found herself in a predicament she wasn't able to get out of.

A moment of snooping turned into being yoinked into the mist, soon trapped, encased by some invisible wall. Beating on the glass did nothing to crack it and it wasn't as if her magic would actually do anything to it, frustrating enough.

So, she decided to do what Queenie (or rather, Sweetite) did best: leave the heavy thinking to the collection of other people who had gathered, presumably for the same reason as her. Well... that is, until she saw a familiar looking furball that had her straight face turning down into a frown.

"You," she hissed through her teeth, finger pointing at the goofy looking pirate cat as she stepped towards him, "You have something to do with this, don't you?"

Moira hadn't been awakened for very long, and she was still feeling out the rules and boundaries of who and what she was. In truth, Ophelia had been of immeasurable help, as had the prince that she had met. She was already learning so many things, already becoming so many things. As the wheel of the year turned back towards renewal, Moira felt herself turning that way too. She was becoming more than she had ever thought possible.

What she didn't know, however, was that she was getting cocky.

The speed, the strength, the magic, it was all going to her head, and so when she felt the gathering of chaos energy and the wave of unfamiliarity at the park, she made a beeline for it. She was a soldier of love and light and justice. Nothing could take her out.

Except for maybe that bubble of darkness that had suddenly taken over the park. Suddenly, Moira's call to duty faltered and she felt her cautious nature prodding at her nerves. What was that thing? It couldn't be safe... nothing that looked like that was safe... maybe she'd just go and find someone older... Sailor Sun, maybe. The prince would want to know about this anyway. It was clearly chaotic in nature if the energy signal meant anything.

But she had gotten to close, and while she was contemplating going to find the Prince, the bubble had begun drawing her closer and closer, and no matter how much she dug her heels in, she couldn't stop it. Not until she was in the bubble of darkness. Instantly, she turned to leave but was stopped by a barrier. Was that glass? She turned back around to the five actual adults who all felt very strong and very chaotic.

She had no choice but to fight before they fought her.

"Moira Root Anchor," she called out, and let the magic wrap itself around who it would.

Pendour, Page of Neptune

Pendour was trying to work on going out more. Being out in the evening air, crisp and cold as mint, was better for her mental state than tossing and turning in bed before it was even proper night. If she could help someone on the way, well, that would make it even more worth it.

But the bubble came, all at once, almost as soon as she'd powered up, and the small seed of fear she always carried now quickly grew. There were several dark auras as strong as the one from the monster-man had been, and several more that weren't quite the same, that felt a little more slippery in her mind but just as wrong.

She'd learned her lesson, and she tried to run, but quickly found herself face to face with a wall as smooth as glass. She kicked at it lightly. It didn't seem like glass. Well. That was no good, but panicking wouldn't do, either. She took a deep breath in through her nose and looked around, seeing one other knight, a page like she was. His outfit was lovely, even though she couldn't tell the planet of it.

She walked over to him, careful not to make eye contact with anyone in black. "Um, hello," she said. "Do you have any idea what they're doing?"

Jason McClarye Jr.

Jason had no way of knowing that things were going to go bonkers that night. He had spent his evening playing his guitar in a bar downtown. While it didn't earn him enough money to quit his day job, music was still his favorite thing. He was bundled up against the cold and had his guitar strapped on one shoulder as he started to make his way home. It was a bad habit of his to cut through parks. The scenery was always nice and helped him reflect on his life.

As soon as he took a step into the park though, something happened. A mist erupted from somewhere further inside the park and immediately he knew something was very, very wrong. He tried to turn around and leave, this was the last thing he needed right now. But as he approached the exit, he immediately smacked into some sort of invisible barrier.

"You've got to be kidding me." Internally screaming in his head, was he really going through something stupid like this again? He didn't ask to be involved in this. Well if he was going to be stuck here, it might be safer to power up right? Try as he might though, it was useless. At least before he had some sort of power to deal with these things. Maybe he could smack some baddies with his guitar? He'd rather not have to sacrifice Betsy, but if it came to him or the guitar, it was an easy choice.

Seeing as there was no obvious way out, he made his way further into the park. He wasn't able to sense the power signatures of those around him, but they weren't exactly trying to hide either. He wasn't sure how to play this though. It would be smart to stay with someone powered up, but he didn't like the idea of playing an innocent person just caught up in this mess.

Captain Reinerite

This part of the city wasn't one of Reinerite's usual haunts, but the strange aura that had pinged against her senses had drawn her attention - and while it wasn't anything that she'd ever come across, whatever it was felt strong.

It was also the most eventful thing that had happened with what had up to that point in time been shaping up to be a rather quiet evening–

The dark swirling mist that was there to greeted her was completely unexpected, a startled look flickering across grey eyes as she stepped a little closer to get a better look as she hadn't come across anything quite like this before.

Getting pulled in herself hadn't been part of the plan, but she had misjudged somehow and gotten a little too close - and now she appeared to be stuck here–

Wherever it was that 'here' was.

Mauvian Wendell

He'd been perfectly content minding his own business (sort of, in the loosest sense of the word), Wendell prowling around with unabashed curiosity. He was starting to wonder whether or not this would lead to adventure, and was gearing up for the excitement that this thought brought him when he heard a low, hissed noise of irritation.

Followed by a very rude pointed finger. That was very definitely not gentlemanly, but since Wendell recognized the lady gesturing at him, he thought this was unsurprising.

"AHA!" Wendell declared, hopping into position with all four paws on the ground, his tail almost vertical as he gazed up into the livid face. "A SHAME THIS FAIR MAIDEN ACCUSES ME OF SUCH TOMFOOLERY! I HAVE DONE NOTHING OF THE KIND, MY DEAR LADY, I WAS MERELY OUT AND ABOUT, CAN YOU NOT SEE?"

He beamed up at her brightly. "Fear not, however, my fringy friend, we shall get out of this in due course! It is quite natural to be afraid!"

Scamander Page of Jupiter

A soft voice to his right made Scamander turn his head, peering at the young woman beside him. She looked, for the most part, just as uncertain as he felt about this whole situation, though Scamander liked to think he wasn't really showing any of that on his face. He turned more fully to face her, lips quirking up into a slightly wry smile.

"Not at all," he said, the southern accent stealing small fragments of his letters off in a sliding drawl. "I jus' got here a few minutes ago, and I'm pretty sure that everyone else is jus' as confused as I am. And you too, it seems."

He stuck out his hand, Scamander's smile growing.

"I'm Scamander, of Jupiter. What's your name?"
