stari_maga just a quick response before posting in the new room (where they both are surprisingly XD) "I think we should grab some food first and then see what happens." She gave a light laugh really not wanting to accidentally burn the girls hat.

Tiberius"I do kiddo, I do." He fluffed Alexa again and then twitched his ears a bit. It was time. He felt it, he'd been loafing around long enough - there were places he needed to be. "It's been great talkin' to ya, but I got to see a man about a horse."
Before he left, Tiberius even trotted over to Toby to bump his body against the youth's legs in a friendly manner that said plainly he didn't hold any animosity for him, that all was well. Then the feline was bounding off through the sea of legs for exotic locals.Exit

Pausing her routine as Cynthia voiced her own query about when they were due to start. Violet eyes creased in thought. It had been odd that there had been no notification of when people needed to ready their performances. Shrugging her shoulders as a sort of silent response Izobel launched the cup off her string and twirled around twice in rapid succession before catching the diabolo on the string with a smirk. She'd been practicing that one for a while now. Hadn't she? It was one of the first times that she had succeeded in catching the cup on the string without it bouncing off. Flushed with success Izobel debated her next trick before eyeing her friend. "It's odd alright. I have no idea when we start though maybe someone else would know where the schedules are located?"
Izobel took a moment to observe those around her and Cynthia that were also practicing their routines and she gazed in awe at the athleticism that was on display. Surely this was the life. She could remember a time before all this grandeur but mainly she'd opted to forget such times. She was part of this circus family. They'd taken her in when she needed a place to fit in and she was determined to give the next performance all she had in her.
Her eyes widened once more before she winced. Rubbing her wrist she sighed. Once more it seemed as if she was putting too much torque on her wrist. She dropped her diabolo sticks before glancing at Cynthia. "Crap. I did it again. I need to grab the tenser bandages again. Be right back unless you want to take a quick break too?"[[ exit ]]

Shannon Mccord - Aerial Silk & Corde Lisse
A quick glance at the time had the aerial performer blanch, she needed to get back to her tent. She couldn't very well go out and perform in her practice leotard! With that thought in mind Shannon rapidly gathered up her equipment and cleaned up her practice area, it wouldn't do for anyone else to mess with her stuff, and headed out of the backstage area towards the living quarters. The tents were clustered together behind the main tent, the larger tents made to house five people tended to go to families while the smaller ones, for two or so people, were more for partners, show mates, or friends. If you were unlucky you got stuck with whoever had open space and you learned to like your roommate, you were stuck with them. The Circus was one big family, everyone might not always get along but they looked out for each other, regardless of where or when someone joined them. That was the main reason that the small tent city clustered behind the grand tent felt warm and welcoming. It might not be a two story house with one point five bathrooms and white picket fence but it was home. And right now she needed to get back to her 'house' and change. Time was ticking after all.

Zeus remained dutifully with the magician and her assistant that had join, taking a seat as Lilith went to talk to Orah. The tiger didn't seem to mind one bit and before long he was sitting next to the magician for pets again. Even if they walked, it wasn't like his milk brothers were far.
Khaleel on the other hand, was currently pulling at his friends cheek. "How can I blow your cover when you don't have any cover!" Everyone and everyone knew that Zach loved Melody, and that Melody might have a crush on the man but like the circus they took part in, it was a game of tip toeing around each other.
Though Zach was more like a stalker.....a funny stalker. Khaleel liked him a lot.
Thor butted the man's legs as if to shove Zach into the open.
"You should actually talk to her today!" He ruffled the hair of the other man before walking over to Melody and the small cat that Lilith cared for. "Hello Melody! Hello Lace!" Thor followed after and gave a small rawr at Lace, who hissed back. "We are on our way to Living quarters! I am going to steal him!" He jutted a thumb at Zach. "I will see you soon in the show, yes? Good luck!"
And with that, Khaleel did drag off the raven haired fanboy. On the way over, his gaze landed on Lilith, a small blush appearing. "I can't wait to see your performance Lilith and Orah!" He waved at them, before running away. Thor following after, and Zeus not too long after.

Cynthia DesjardinsAt least we seem to be in agreement. This is weird. Cynthia thought to herself, continuing her part of the routine. It wasn't that she minded the break but usually by now they would have told all of the performers when the next performance was, or if they were going to move on since the city wasn't allowing it. Cynthia thought for a moment… what if they were stuck here all winter! Cynthia couldn't stand the thought! However, her friend's wincing and cradling her hand made Cynthia stop, making sure to catch her devil sticks before they fell on the ground and broke, and she ran over to her friend to make sure that Izobel was okay! Cynthia looked at Izobel, a worried expression on her face, and nodded. "Yeah, I think a break would be good! Let me help you with those bandages!"exit tefla all right moving to the living quarters!

Stacey LongmanStacey went to gather her weapons that she had collected. She was going to try to join Alex for a bit in practicing the stage combat act. Her trunk wasn't as big as his, but over the years she had selected each weapon specifically, and spent hours practicing with them.
The circus wasn't where she thought she would have ended up. She had been running from an abusive home, and for a while thought she would have had to sell her body for a bit to get some money. Eventually though, the circus had rolled into her home city, when she was still living with her abusive mother, and one night she had snuck out to see it. She wasn't planning on joining, she really just wanted to see all of the animals and performers. After all, it was her little sister that got all of the day trips to the zoo, her mom made sure that Stacey's permission slips from school were never signed, so even when her mother didn't have to pay for it, she certainly made sure that Stacey wouldn't be able to enjoy anything fun.
She had been looking at a few of the animals, wishing she could pet them, but knowing that she shouldn't she had been mistaken for someone who had wanted to join. It seemed that they took a lot of runaways, and she was promised food and shelter and an exciting lifestyle. Compared to being with her mother, this was practically heaven!
And so she had quickly joined, and found that she wanted to work stage combat the most, if only for the fact that she would be able to fight. It was one of the ways to get her feelings out without any therapy available, and because she couldn't really punch anyone, unless she had wanted to be a clown and would only be fake-punching, then she had to work her butt off to learn how to fight with weapons. Not as good as a punch to the face, but it was something she could work with.
She eventually managed to find Alex, and a smile was on her face. "Need any help Alex?" She said, trying to hide a giggle. His hair was even more of a problem than hers!Sleet Tempest Snape Alexandre Evans - Stage combatfor you!

The world around you shivers. You start to realize that something is very, very wrong. Whether it's because you feel out of place and unfamiliar, or whether because you think you don't belong here, or whatever the case may be, your head is telling you that this is wrong.
The world shivers again.
No. No.
You don't belong here.
For a moment, everything stills - and you see, just on the sidelines of your vision, a face - a man?
The world seems to shudder. The man disappears.

Looking up from where he stood the ashen blond nodded his head slowly. Stacey was a bit younger than him, and a bit newer to the circus as well, but she'd learned quickly and taken to stage combat rather well. He didn't know her story, though he was sure she had one, as it wasn't his place to ask nor did he honestly care. Almost everyone here, if not everyone, had a story. Most normal people didn't think of joining the circus, at least not seriously, and yet here they all were - working at a circus. There was almost always some reason, though some he supposed did it because it was a family thing...born and raised into it. That wasn't, as far as he knew, that case for those here.
he himself had lost his parents, he'd been terribly young, in a car accident. Injured, but not too badly, he'd fled from the scene scared and confused. The carnival just happen to be near by and he'd hidden there till he'd been found some time later that night. Once found he'd been treated and, not having a family, he was offered the chance to stay and join the carnival - he'd accepted. He didn't once think that his family may have survived, he was sure they hadn't, and so it wasn't anything he ever thought on.
"Yeah...help would be good. We should be prepared for tonight." Nodding his head once brushed his hair from his face. "Mind helping with my hair first?" He didn't like to ask but his hair did tend to get in the way, and make things harder than they needed to be. He knew he could, and maybe should, cut it but he rather liked it long.
It was while he was going to grab a brush and hair elastic that something hit him, again. It was odd and off setting. Like he didn't belong...that he was needed, or at least should be, elsewhere. It felt like this wasn't real ,or wasn't supposed to be? He wasn't sure but something was off, enough to have him finding a place to seat himself, his gaze landing on the female with him. "Let me just sit down while you do my hair." Hoping to sound as casual as possible, like nothing was going on. But really..a lot was going on as he mentally scrambled to figure this out.

Melody Klein Righting herself from another twist of her body as Khaleel and Thor made her way over, Melody smiled brightly and held the small black kitten close despite her hissing to the tiger. It was funny to her that despite being friends with the tiger tamer for several years now, Lilith's little familiar seemed to refuse to accept the presence of the large felines. Maybe one day. "Hello Khaleel, have you boys had enough watching me practice today?" A tease more towards Zach then the blonde but nothing more. "Have fun boys, try not to drive anyone too crazy. And make sure he eats something other then popcorn while you're at it?" A small giggle and a bright smile, which may have turned a little love stricken as Zach was pulled past her. One day she'd see about the two of them finding a way to perform together. "Have fun boys," she called before peering down at the small kitten she held in her arms. A quick shift had the kitten now resting closer to her shoulder as Melody turned to leave her little practice area. "Speaking of food, I think it's about time I ate something myself." If Lace chose not to join her that would be okay, she could drop her off with Lilith if she wanted or she could go and make her way herself~ Melody was fine either way. [Exit]
