Esuyak had been about to push his way in to the Baphomet's conversation with the other person when suddenly the long-haired junior twisted around and called Esuyak -- YES, Esuyak -- a fuggin' squirt? Oh. Oh no you did NOT just call Esuyak a squirt! The kumiho's expression contorted in to a rather mean one, the boy placing his hands on his hips in a rather sassy and confrontational display, eyebrows pinching together in massive disapproval. "S'cuse you! Who are you callin' a fuggin' squirt, eh? That's just demeaning. What's your deal?" Foot in mouth. That was Esuyak's way, it seemed. Always having to get offended or easily ruffled about something. "Did your mom drop your soulstone or something? Damn."

Niamh looked up, startled, when she heard two unfamiliar voices speaking to her. She stared for a long silent moment, with her eyes leaking tears, at the two strangers who had approached. One of them was a... Kumiho hollowed. She didn't know that any of them were out in the world, and after her horrible experience in their lands, she was amazed one had been allowed to survive, let alone make it to adulthood. The other was a fallen hallowed... They both seemed concerned though. She made a gulping sound or two, trying to calm herself enough to speak, before she whispered "I... no... it... I..." She flushed, some, under her tears. She sounded like an idiot on top of falling apart like this. Combo Bonus, great!
She took a proper deep breath, then tried again "I... I don't know where my friends are. So many of us..." She gestured, helplessly, at the crowds. "And I... it's too soon. Too soon." Her tear filled eyes looked at Hiroshi, before she said "Too soon after the Forest, you see..." She wrapped her wings around herself, her tail tucked in under them now. "I just wanted one... just one... chance at a happy gathering of us all. I hoped to see friends, have fun. I was having fun. But just like THERE, when things were going well is exactly when it all fell apart." She shuddered, and whispered "I... I hope Tomoe is safe..."

Gaius wasn't sure what to think with all of this. The usually laidback, easy going mutant had gathered into the auditorium as instructed, his pack of familiars coming with him. In his mind the message kept repeating, each word being dissected, trying to piece together what it meant.
Experiments... scientists... on stones? to prevent stuff. He sat comfortably on the ground, all his critters circled around him, his own eyes closing in deep thought. It was quite interesting... eating live beings to survive. What a diet. But anyone knew that tampering with dark magics would only lead to grave outcomes. Rather than being really afraid, he was quite intrigued! He wanted to know more... The person giving the message seemed scorned, and for good reason, and was going to take revenge on everyone. It seemed like misdirected anger, considering no one but the authorities knew of this. But... pain and anger made folks do things without really thinking all the time.
Mini wings twitching faintly on his back as he mulled, his eyes peeled open to slowly scan around him at those that were panicked and freaking out in the room. Well that wouldn't do any good... but he couldn't fault them, either. By the sounds of it, they were going to be on these revenge seeking individuals' menus. But being a man of logic, Gaius wanted to perhaps devise some ideas, and plans, to nullify this march of war and chaos.

Another voice had come out from nearby and Yaruka turned to see the hallowed kumiho man, smiling at him kindly as he seemed just as concerned about the young chimera as she was. It was always nice to see others showing compassion for their fellows. Yaruka was quiet so that the girl could catch her breath and try to speak, seeing her embarrassment as she fumbled with her words. How could anyone expect someone in her condition to be eloquent? She let her speak, taking in the fact that she didn't know where her friends were in the mass of crowds.....and then she seemed more stricken, fresh tears in her eyes. The hallowed fallen followed her gaze to the kumiho, connecting it instantly when she spoke about the Forest. She had heard about some of the events that had taken place there; nothing that gave as many details as she was certain this poor girl experienced, of course, but it had to have been traumatizing enough that it affected her to this day.
Yaruka frowned as she continued to speak, stepping closer so she could kneel beside her and gently place a hand on her shoulder. "No one ever expects things like this to happen. Chaos and fear striking in the heart of happiness is always a mind-shattering thing. No one can blame you for feeling this way." Her expression softened, saddened just a bit and touched that the young chimera was showing concern for a friend. "I know that things are hectic right now but they will calm down a little and maybe we can see if any of your friends are here. Even if they aren't here at the Academy, I'm certain they must be in one of the safehouses. It seems like they were evacuating everyone from their homes to gather them in a place where they could be more sure of their safety." Yaruka glanced back at the kumiho for a moment, offering the same kindness in her words and expression to him as well. He hadn't expressed worry for someone he knew personally but she had to think that he was also just a bit on the concerned side. Yaruka herself was trying her best to keep herself together as well, despite a deep part of her wanting to cry and tremble; there was no greater fear than the unknown. "If you'd like I or both of us could stay with you until you feel better...and then we could try and find someone you know?" She looked between them with a gentle smile still on her face. "I'm Yaruka, by the way."OPEN! Anyone can interact with her! ^_^

Hiroshi blinked. He suddenly felt a wave of regret well up inside of himself. He may not have been among the Kumiho that this child had met when she was there, but he knew all too well how the Elders in the village could be and he somehow felt responsible, even if they wouldn't allow the regular villagers to become involved in what took place. He couldn't help but take a step back, shaking his head slightly. "I'm.... I'm sorry..." He started with what almost sounded like defeat in his voice. "I know that what the Elders put you through couldn't have been pleasant..." It made him sick that someone so young had to go through that and that yet again here she was, going through something else so traumatic. There was a part of him that wanted to reach out and hug her, but he wasn't sure that she'd allow that from someone like him, especially given what she had been through.
The Kumiho gave a soft smiled when the Fallen spoke, but he couldn't help but hesitate when he heard the Chimera's words, not sure what to do. He was convinced that his presence was probably upsetting her even more. Should he go? "If I can help in any way to find your friends..." Though he wasn't sure what he could do. It wasn't like he was in any better shape to go find his brother either. He almost took another step back, allowing the Fallen to take the initiative he stopped when he heard a name he hadn't heard in a while. "You know... Tomoe?" There was a hint of surprise in his voice. He vaguely remembered Tomoe being involved in the whole fiasco, but he wasn't sure how much contact the outsiders had had with him.
He let out a sigh, completely confused on what to do. He was glad that the Fallen, Yaruka, was at least there to help, he wasn't sure that the Chimera would want to deal with him since she seemed upset about the whole event that had happened in the Forest. "I'm Hiroshi..." He felt it was at least polite to introduce himself.

Eilwen watched as Kunibert ran off, part of her wanted to go into the crowds herself at this point. Look around some more, under table, anything where her little brother could be hiding. But she also needed to stay put, in case someone did find Erion, also she had Kuni's little kit in her arms. Despite his barking, he was really comforting. The little ball of fur was so cute, and he'd reach up every now and then to give her face a little lick. Quite frankly, she was very happy for the little fluffy distraction. She just kept repeating in her head that Erion had made it somewhere safe. Someone was watching out for him, they just had to be.
Her wings twitched thought when she heard a very familiar Chimera calling out to her. Vanna was here! She spun around in place and flipped the hood of her costume down, so she'd be easier to recognize. She had to admit she was keeping it up before because it was helping her feel like they were maybe fewer Nightmares and Daydreams crowded around her. It wasn't all that hard to spot her tall Older Sibling in the crowd.
"Vanna! I'm over here!" She waved him over, still reluctant to leave the spot where she knew Kuni would be able to find her if he did find Erion, or if Mushroom wanted to return to their owner. It was really a huge relief to see such a familiar and welcoming face in this crowd though. She could really feel herself starting to calm down now, her fast beating heart was starting to slow back down to normal. Or at least as normal as it could get, given the situation they were all in.

Was it just him, or were there a million freshlings in here? Oh well. They'd been in the auditorium for a while now, and it seemed like nothing much was happening. Kuni was still keeping an eye out for Erion (no sign of him yet) and was keeping his ear cocked (metaphorically speaking) for any change in the sound of Mushroom's voice. It seemed like he wasn't the only person who'd brought a pet with him--though to be fair to everyone else, they had probably come back from trick-or-treating when the alarm went off. It wouldn't be an event at the Academy without random pets wandering around.
Looking for someone else to give a plushie to, Kuni spotted a Nixie/Geist hybrid looking for...something. Hey, he might as well... He walked up to the freshling and tapped them on the shoulder. "Ve can't go back to our rooms yet, so here's a plushie." He handed it to the freshling, then hesitated. There had to be something else to say, as the great comforter that he had been assigned to be. "Is zere anysing else you need? Are you doing alright?"iMoony For Roshan, since it looks like no one's replied to him yet!

Foras usually was the type that didn't mind crowds, honestly he lived off of attention. However, this wasn't exactly the type of crowd he liked. All panicked and all of the noise. He was a loud person, but his ears were starting to twinge a bit at all the sound around him. He reached up with his free hand to give them each a gentle rub in turn. He sighed at the look Gany gave him.
"I guess I was holding out home that it was something harmless..." It was very obvious by now that this was an awfully serious situation. He could only pray to the Nine that they'd all be safe in the Auditorium, but what if other Nightmares and Daydreams were still stuck outside? Were there enough safe zones for all of them? And even if they were all in safe zones, then wouldn't these....unique individuals be drawn to those safe zones? He could only hope that the Academy wouldn't draw their attention.
"I have to admit I'm...a little nervous myself. I'm not hurt though, well except for my ears. It is awfully loud in here, and no the fun kind of loud." He gave Gany's hand a squeeze. "Try not to worry too much though, I'm sure we'll be safe in here. And hey, I'm with you at least!" Foras put on one of his classic smiles, maybe with a little less shine and brilliance to it than normal, but it was still effective. He managed to stop someone who was passing out water bottles and grab some up for them. He could say he was honestly starting to get parched, it was hot in here with all this fur. Of course he passed one over to Gany as well. He only let go long enough to unscrew the cap to get a gulp of water before holding onto his friend again. Friend? Well, something like that anyway.

Guess who was having the worst time of their life? Apparently everyone if Trudy was to judge but to be quite honest, they were an absolutely awful judge because everything and everyone tended to skew on the this-is-the-worst side so maybe take that with a grain of salt. Regardless, Trudy was definitely one of those in a state of utter panic and terror, and that was just from the initial emergency broadcast. X's little spiel had Trudy wanting to curl in on themselves and hide under the ground. They'd frozen in fear and was simply swept up with the sea of bodies. Before they knew it, they were through the doors and sealed within the auditorium along with the rest of the school it seemed. And they really did not want to be. They weren't claustrophobic but too many people were just too close for comfort and- oh hai Trudy's anxiety, did you want to rear your ugly unwanted head? In an attempt to calm down, Trudy fixed their bicolored eyes on their feet. Then they wished they were wearing something other than their fluffy fennekin slippers.

Kyleigh's hands nervously smoothed her skirt over and over. She, like everyone else, had no idea what was going on and the lack of knowledge was more frightening than she could ever have imagined it to be. The Fallen was trying to control her breathing when the screaming noises from the screens made her yelp and slap her hands over her ears.
If she thought the emergency broadcast had been worrying, this new broadcast was absolutely terrifying. Not far out of the Academy herself, Kyleigh was trying to keep herself together for the younger Nightmares and Daydreams. She saw a Grimm nearby and asked, "What do you think is going on? Maybe it's a H-Haunted Hallows trick?" The last question was hopeful but something told her this wasn't a prank. She just knew that if she was alone in her head, she'd go crazy.

What was happening? Everyone had rushed into this area, they were all sealed in... What did they say? "No... Not again..." They couldn't leave. It was like the forest all over again. The forest... The Kumiho... Harley's ears perked up, tears threatening to make an appearance. "Yuta! Where are you?" She couldn't see the two tail Kumiho in the sea of people. The hybrid had promised to watch over him and she was screwing it up. She slumped against a wall, feeling lost, confined, and alone. She didn't even know where Echo was. She planted herself on the ground against the wall trying to take deep, calm breaths. She didn't want to panic but she was about to panic. Was this all part of the event? Yuta was excited, rushing around with the others, but people seemed to be panicked and scared. He needed to find Harley. "Haaaarleeeeeey!" The purple haired Kumiho called for the girl as they rushed in. Luckily for him, he caught a glimpse of her retreating to a corner to sit in. He made his way over to her and squeezed her hand gently. "Hey, look, it's ok! We're all safe here together!" They hybrid seemed lost in her thoughts. Maybe someone older would be able to help her out? "Stay here! I'll be right back~" Yuta needed to stay positive for his friend! He skipped off in a random direction to find an older kid that might be able to help Harley. "Hey, you!" He tugged on the other's shirt. "Can you help me cheer up my friend?"

Raven yawned as he stood in the corner, casting his eyes vaguely around the crowded space. His eyes often roamed to the doors, where he'd contemplate leaving before scoffing and looking away. He hated being constrained, but it was clear he couldn't just stride out of here. The broadcast had been amusing - he especially liked the part where one figure managed to intimidate a whole auditorium filled with people, including adults and leaders. But now he was bored, and slowly realising that he'd be forced to sooner or later say he was 'fine' and 'no, ma'am, i don't need any help'. How droll.
Eyes sweeping over the auditorium once more, Raven realised no one he knew was present in the crowds. With a sigh he leaned against the wall, his tail flicking uneasily through the air. This was going to be terribly boring, he could tell.

Zeta was still staring at the screens as the broadcast went off. She wasn't sure what to make of this, or the fact that they'd been herded into what were supposed to be safe houses but really made the Elf feel like they were all trapped. Trapped like rats. She had no love for enclosed spaces in the best of times and this was far from a good time. While the monochrome Elf internalized her freaking out, there was a Baphomet nearby who apparently did the opposite. Zeta ground her teeth and clenched her fists in an effort to not snap at the panicking one.
It didn't work. The more he paced, the more irritated Zeta got. "Hey!" she called out, stepping in front of him so he would have to stop or step around her. "Quit it!" she hissed. "You're going to freak out the younger kids even more than they already are." Not that she really cared, but she thought it might have bearing for the Baphomet.

Howl glanced to her side and looked at the fallen in the purple dress. Her ears leaning forward to try and listen to what they spoke. "Hm... I feel that, the hope for such an outcome would be unrealistic." Howl frowned, the fallen looked familiar but then again so did most of the other nightmares and daydreams here. The grimm raised a claw to scratch at her cheek, careful to avoid the dermal piercing. The idea that it was a prank was possible, however if you really thought about it, this was going way out of line for funny, even for this kind of holiday. So Howl had to believe that this was a real thread. Howl didn't want to admit it but she was a bit scared of what was going on. Her tail swished behind her and it collided with a familiar. Howl looked over her shoulder and saw a geist. "Oh..." She moved her tail and twisted around. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to hit you with my tail..." She offered the familiar and gave a glance to the geist. They seemed very calm which was a welcome sight.

Leslie was tired, confused, and honestly kind of scared. They had been out trick-or-treating with Rowan when suddenly the evacuation order came, and a caretaker showed up to grab them and bring them back inside the auditorium. Somewhere between here and there they got separated from Rowan, and were now frantically trying to look for them - or Ella, either of the siblings, really, they just didn't want to be alone. There was no trace of the purple hybrid in the crowd that was gathered inside, which made Leslie's stomach sink a bit. Wandering around between students and random festivalgoers, it took the little imp a good while before they spotted a familiar combination of turquoise and pink. Ella was here, at least!
Hurrying over, the child called out their adoptive sister's name, grabbing the hem of her shirt gently. "Ella, have you seen mom or Rowan anywhere? Are you okay?" they blurted out in a small voice. It took Leslie a moment to realize Ella wasn't alone though, and they blushed a bit from embarrassment as they greeted the other hybrid junior. "H-hi.. Are you one of big sister's friends?"
