He thought this might just be a boost of adrenaline inside of him but the air and relaxing moment in Verdanturf and the addition of Makoto made him very confident of his abilities. Arriving at the station he saw another fairly long line, there was always a line at these places. But being one of the only ways to travel between regions without much stronger Pokemon with the fly ability. Placing his hands in his pockets he looked up at the clock and let out a large sigh, waiting was the worst part of any of this. ╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗ As the line moved along slowly he looked up at the roof as he occasionally moved up a space. He couldn’t help but wonder about his parents. Before he left them to set off on his own his father was preparing to set off for a trip to some unknown region and his mother was just beginning to gear up her elite trainer school. He loathed the pace his parents took and their watchful eyes that always caused them to obsess over him. For his dreams to come true he couldn’t stay under the umbrella of his parents. They were both skilled trainers, so it was only right that they birthed a talented trainer. But he needed to forge his own path through this world. The fact that they had disowned him once he went of on his own really pissed him off. He sucked his teeth and took another step forward, noticing that he was nearing the ticket booth.
Looking ahead to his next battle he thought about his Pokemon playing in Verdanturf and chuckled. They were all so unique and powerful, he felt like he was really part of a team that could give any trainer a run for their money. From here they would continue to grow together and get stronger. He imagined them standing before Johto’s Elite Four. He had no idea what would happen between now and then, but these were the Pokemon he wanted to move forward with he knew that. Their personalities made him want to see them grow, he wanted to see them reach their peak, alongside their trainer.

He had to smirk a bit though at the hearing remark, glancing over at Jay with an amused look on his face. "Oh really?" He remarked, containing a bit of a smirk in his voice. "Now who says you couldn’t do that?" He remarked, tilting his head curiously. He glanced up as the train appeared and docked, getting to his feet and shifting Gin in his arms. "Though I wouldn’t have pegged you for the singing type." He remarked, turning and making his way onto the train, finding his way to some seats and settling himself in as they waited for the announcement for departure. Gin eventually shifted and perked up to peek out the window to watch the scenery roll by once the train started moving, little body wiggling excitedly at it all. She’d never been on a train before.

Jay chuckled, climbing onto the train to Mauville and dropping down as it got started along the tracks. "Well, I ain't much've a singer, but I can give feed back on it a hellova lot better'n I can fer that other performance stuff," he clarified, settling back and pulling off his hat, "S'pose if they do have a section fer that, though..." An amused smile crossed over his face, and he brushed a hand back through his hair. He gave a slight shake of his head, then settled in. He wasn't likely to fall asleep during the train ride, since he wanted to save that for the boat trip, but he did want to get comfortable. He let Jesse out of her pokeball, too, the beedrill buzzing and lifting up to land lightly on his lap, curiously peering out the window while Jay leaned back. He'd keep up conversation while they took the train, but he preferred to focus on his thoughts more. It was always a little strange to travel on train-- but boat was worse.
When they arrived, he let Jesse stay out, though she shied back, spaztically flying over crowds and scuttling around, trying not to get stepped on or get in anyone's way, and still quite terrified of using her ability to fly. Luckily, people seemed oddly... eager to get out of the way of the scurrying beedrill, and she was able to keep up with Jay as he moved away from the train station, coming to a stop to turn and place his hand back on his head. "Yew still with us, Sebastian?" he asked the air, uncertainly if he had lost his companion through the crowds.

Sebastian gave a bit of a chuckle, shaking his head and leaning back into his own seat. Well that would certainly be an interesting thing to witness; not that he could blame Jay for the preference. It was probably easier in the long run to go with what you well… had to go with. He fell quiet for the rest of the train ride, opting instead to take a look through the books that’d been bought to try and get some more information on both contests and the Hoenn region. He’d never been after all, it was probably worth learning what he could. Between that and helping Gin –she’d taken to trying to walk a couple of times only to fall flat- he didn’t even really notice the time fly by.
Retrieving Gin from another little fall he blinked as he felt the train stop, putting the books away and following Jay off the train. Stepping out with Gin in his arms, Sebastian had to take a moment to marvel at the city. Damn, this place was big! Was it… indoors or something? It seemed like a massive shopping center. He glanced over and quickly trotted to catch up to Jay, maneuvering his way through the crowds before finally his head gave a nod, adjusting Gin in his arms.
"Yup, right here! Sorry, this place is… kind of huge." He remarked. Not that he was sure Jay would care too much about that fact… still, it was hard not to be impressed in a new city.

Jacque smirked a bit when Sebastian popped up and replied. "Don' worry 'bout it," he replied, tapping his own ear, "I can hear how busy 'n big the place is. Surprised, though... Sorta sounds like we're inside... But it weren't like that last time I was here." He shifted, trying to listen around, and moving a bit to get out of the crowd. "Perty sure we need ta head down at Slateport ta catch a boat ta Lilycove. Yew happen ta see any sorta maps 'r somethin' nearby? Like one've them 'Yew are here' things?" He continued moving his head, trying to listen, lifting a hand up to Zoey, who had fallen silent and was twitching her own ears, listening observantly to their surroundings. Jesse pushed herself up to Jay's leg, her needle arms tucked in to try and stay out of the way.
"Or if'n ya don', we could just try'n head south. Perty sure that'll at least get us goin' in the right d'rection," he added in a lower tone, trying to orient himself still. It sounded so... very different from what he remembered...

Sebastian gave a little chuckle, shaking his head. Master of hearing skills or something of the like; one of the many impressive things he noted about the cowboy. At the mention that things seemed different though, Sebastian tilted his head a bit. Really? He’d never been here before so he didn’t know any better, but from what he could tell the place was indeed inside in some fashion. Like… a building or something? It was definitely different to what he was use too… it was quite possible it was just a massive train station for all he knew.
He nodded along as Jay explained the next course of action. He glanced around briefly, spotting one of the mentioned massive maps nearby. "Mhm, here’s one over here in fact." Sebastian remarked, glancing at Jay before stepping over to take a look. Just as was mentioned, which was surprising to the man to some degree, the map had a massive red dot indicating where the map was as well as directions. "It looks like… south is right." He remarked, an eyebrow quirking as he stepped back, turning on his heel in the proper direction.
"Wish I had your kind of memory for this kind of thing." Sebastian joked, glancing back at Jay as he started to move, pausing only a moment. Gin gave a little chirp as well, wiggling and eyeing Jay and his pokemon curiously, attention shifting around to take in all the new sights as well. "You okay, Jay?"

Jay nodded, shifting to follow with Sebastian. He moved his hand from Zoey, who started squeaking to help him maneuver, but ultimately, with so many people moving, it was hard to properly track them and move out of their way. He couldn't see the subtleties in their movements to tell them if they were changing their direction after all. Still, he managed to make it over to the board with Sebastian, but once there, he reached back for another pokeball. He needed a bit more assistance getting through here.
He gave a bit of an amused smirkish smile at Sebastian's comment, though. "Well, wouldn't do much good if I had a terrible since've d'rection, would it? Can ya imagine bein' blind and d'rectionally impaired? I'd get lost e'rytime I stepped outta the house," he remarked, releasing Scy. "But, uh... T'be hones', I'm sorta havin' trouble makin' sure I don' run inta people. Gonna have Scy here help me out. He should know the way ta Slateport, too... He was with us when we were travelin' here. Even if it does seem diff'rent." The scizor was looking around, sharp eyes taking the scene in, and then landing on the board. "Think yew can help us out, Scy?" Jay asked. Jay tilted his head, smiling a bit. "I s'pose so. Still ain't very convenient, though," he added, leaning on Scy a bit as the pokemon began leading the way. Walking, Jay paused a moment, turning his head and listening. He lifted his head, giving a nod while walking. He seemed to be thinking about something, though, and eventually turned slightly to listen towards Sebastian again, speaking up. "By the way... been meanin' ta ask. Did one've yer pok'mon 'volve 'r something? I don' recognize the sounds whatever one's with ya's been makin'." He wasn't there for Gin's evolution, after all. In fact, he hadn't encountered her a lot, but even if he had, he might not have pieced together that that was who Sebastian had with him. And he hadn't really been able to pick up on anything distinguishing in her echoes during the train ride, either. Nor was he familiar enough with the pokemon itself to know what it was or look it up on his pokedex, and he didn't feel like pulling the device out to identify her now.
Scy turned his head slightly to briefly glance back, but turned his focus ahead as they drifted towards the exit of the city, and towards the route leading south to Slateport. Ko nodded along. It seemed Johto held a plethora of temperatures depending on where you went. "Well, I'd love to go where ever you go, Ohm~" Ko added with a playful grin and a wink. Her smile faded some as Ohm's expression shifted after answering his Pokegear. She wanted to ask what was wrong, but her answer came quickly as Ohm set down the device and pushed it towards her. She was hesitant to look, so she only got a quick glance before she leaned back in her chair, holding her hands up onto the table. "Step.... father?" She muttered, unsure as to why Ohm was reacting to this. Did he and his Step father had a poor relationship? It didn't look to urgent, like it wasn't being portrayed as something that needed to be done immediately. He could always decline, say no.
A thought crossed Ko's mind however. Ohm's memories. He held an opportunity to speak with a man that very well could introduce his memories back to him. She didn't feel it was her place to say this however. Instead Ko pursed her lips, thinking desperately on what to say. She couldn't take the silence for long. He made not attempt to pull away but rather closed his hand around hers as he thought about what to do next. This wasn't some trivial message to be ignored, he had to answer this one but he also needed to be tactful about it. Saying yes meant meeting the man whom had blatantly refused to come to his aid when he had broken his arm and had pretty well shown his colors but on the revere to say no might mean losing a very valuable opportunity to find out more about himself. He also had to weigh Alex's warning. Meeting the man was, according to him, a bad idea. So why ask such a question.
