Entering Cerulean, Mitsu first decided to send a text to Ezra to lethim know what's going on. After he was done with that, Jitsu went to the Pokémon Center and had his team examined. Just to make sure they were as healthy as he thought they were. Alright....It was time for his battle.

Misty looked up from where she was sitting on the edge of the pool, her feet in the water. Her staryu floated before her, both setting their attention on the young man as he approached. She smiled, standing up and moving to her proper place across from him, placing her hands on her hips. "Well then, it's nice to meet you, Mitsukini!" she called back, Staryu shaking itself off, and moving into place before her, "I hope you're ready for this! I definitely don't go easy." The spunky girl gave a grin, but waited for him to send his pokemon out before letting the battle truly begin.

Misty gave a solid nod as her challenger replied. She lifted her head as he sent out a grass type. That wasn't too surprising, given her gym's specialty. "Gloom, huh? You didn't happen to catch it as an Oddish nearby, did you? I remember seeing some just outside the city," she commented, appraising the pokemon. Snapping back to battle mode, she extended a hand to point a finger forward. "Alright, Staryu, let's start this off with Water Pulse, and see if we can't land a confusion!" she instructed. It wasn't the most effective move, not at all, but if she could get a confusion, it could seriously raise their odds, and possibly save them a status condition-- glooms were practically infamous for the assortments of powders and gases they could produce.
Unfortunately, it was a no-go. She would have to grit her teeth and go with brute force from here on.

"Vermillion, huh?" she mused. Not that far, then, but definitely not exactly a local. She seemed to appraise the pokemon, then folded her arms over her chest, quirking an eyebrow. "Pretend what?" she asked. She shifted her attention to her pokemon, giving it a nod as it shook itself from the Mega Drain attack. "Go ahead and use Tackle this time, Staryu," she instructed.

A lot of people who couldn't feel pain tended to tu out twisted, and he didn't want Kyo being like that. She was too precious to him. Misty lifted her head and gave a nod. "Ahh, I see... Huh, well, maybe you just have a sturdy pokemon!" she mused, rubbing her chin as she looked thoughtfully at the pokemon. Not many seemed that resistant to pain, though. The first time would be understandable, it wasn't like she'd dealt much damage, but the Tackle had a bit more impact to it. Still, though, not much, given their use of Mega Drain. This next attack would probably be their last... Honestly, her only hope to actually win this battle was to do Water Pulse and confuse the pokemon, even if it did absolutely no damage, but that wouldn't do much if Mitsu decided to switch pokemon on her. So for now... "Use Tackle again, Staryu!" she instructed. They might as well get what damage they could.

Sturdy. Or, insane. Personally, he wasn't sure which were worse. The last thing he wanted was for Kyo to feel she was invincible and get herself killed or something. Staryu used Tackle again, but at this point, it was pretty much a desperate act. Kyo used Mega Drain again, seeming to already know Mitsu was sticking to that attack, and Staryu went down."Way to go, Kyo~! That was amazing~!"

She tossed her next pokeball up, releasing the evolved form of her previous one. "Come on out, Starmie!" she called, catching the ball as the pokemon appeared before her. "Will you be sticking with Kyo, then?" she asked as she put the ball back.

Water Pulse didn't do much to Kaiden, and they were fortunate enough to where it's confusion didn't take effect."Use Spark!"Kaiden released the Electric attack, and Mitsu was a bit surprised it was so...unstable. It was like Kaiden didn't have, or use, any control over the attack. It was a miracle he didn't miss Starmie entirely, or hit Misty. He came close to hitting Mitsu with the discharge, though."H-Hey! "Are you alright?" she asked, gesturing, looking both concerned and confused. It looked like that attack nearly hit the trainer the pokemon belonged to! She shook her head a bit, recovering from the shock, and looked to Starmie. Static seemed to cling to her pokemon, and she frowned. Paralyzed.... Hopefully it wouldn't be enough to keep it from attacking, though. "Keep it up with Water Pulse, Starmie!" she instructed.
