There was a hopeless flash of amusement in his eyes as he rose to stand up out of his chair, shaking himself up and, very slowly, pacing out the inside of the circle. Looking at each of them, as if they might be next, and only finally pausing --
In front of Richard.
"Zed's a wise man. It seems he accurately predicted your death, torn apart by wild beasts in the night." He flashed a grin down at Richard, rolled his shoulders in a shrug, and reached out to flip over his card. It, too, read villager.
"Seems the village isn't doing so hot. I'll give you an opportunity to act out your death, too, if you want, but do it without saying a word. Then you can go sit with Krishna in the quiet corner."
He turned, then, to raise his eyebrows at the rest. "You know what to do now. Who's getting lynched next?" __________________
OOC NOTE:
It's lynching time!
For the next 48 hours, you should discuss in character who you think might be a wolf, who should be lynched, etc. If you want to say you think you felt someone move in the night -- go for it. If you want to go based on your knowledge of people in character -- go for that. If you want to lynch your BFF because it's hilarious -- also solid grounding.
I only have one request: Keep your posts brief. If possible, stick to 3-4 sentences max. Make it easy for people to read and keep the play going! You can post a bunch of times or you can post once, and that's up to you.
By 48 hours from this post, however, you should post in red bold font who your character is voting to be lynched. I'll post a reminder at the halfway mark!
Sorry Gingi, but Richard is now dead. I'm giving you the opportunity to RP out a death scene IC if you'd like, so as to pad out your word count and make sure you have the required 450, if you don't already. However under no circumstances should you say anything in your death scene. It's a dramatic, fun, stupid thing for you to do, not a way to give extra information!
As always, if anyone's confused, just shoot me a PM/IM. I'm around a lot. XP

Richard was hardly surprised by such an outcome and readily welcomed the decision. The competitive nature in him, the drive to win a game, however silly or petty it may be, was pretty much tarnished the moment he arrived here and saw the room was already sectioned off into little groups. He snickered at Ever's description of his demise, and for a moment, he considered making a scene. Screaming bloody murder as the 'wolves' tore him to peaces, screaming that they had doomed him, all for sticking by his friend, making disgusting and gurgling sounds and clinging to the very last threads of life, using his last breath to curse the werewolves, whoever they may be, and the villagers.
If he was going to go down and if everyone hated him anyways, then what did he have to lose? What did he care? He gave a soft chuckle, one that was heavy and not at all influenced by the alcohol in his system, before standing to his feet, putting his hands in his pocket, and simply walking to join Krishna in what Ever liked to call the 'Quiet Corner'. He could have made a scene, and yet, besides Boaz and Porsha, he felt none of them deserved such a performance. Maybe if there was money involved, he would have chewed the scenery and played the role of the villager being ripped to shreds, but perhaps some of his friend seeped into him. There was no point in entertaining this crowd... so he would not.
'Team building indeed.' He thought, moving to the corner quietly and sitting next to Krishna, in the quiet corner.

Suri lifted her head from the brief reprieve, looking around at the faces of her survivors. It shouldn't have been a surprise to her that the one closest to the first one lynched would be killed in the night, but it certainly raised some questions as to who the killers were. She could go for the obvious and suspect Porsha, who sought to gain the most, or assume that someone clever was setting things up to appear that way. Either way, she saw a weak link in the village, and with a flippant shrug she pointed a finger at Boaz.
"Honestly, if he wants to kill himself, I think we should oblige him and save ourselves the trouble."

Vanya didn't want to wait to vote last again. She thought that might look suspicious, and she definitely didn't want to be suspicious. She wanted to coast under the radar, attract no attention--okay, except she sort of liked Porsha and Avery's attention, and Lena was fun, and Zac was--certainly a person...
So when Suri voted, Vanya immediately said, "I agree. I'm voting with Suri."

Zac for his part laced his fingers together, eyes drifting around the room with a small frown creasing the space between his brows. “Hm.” He intoned, a short thoughtful sound.
His eyes lingered on some of the ladies assembled, the frown deepening and then lifting into a more neutral and thoughtful look.
“I wonder if we the villagers won’t just do badly because so many of us are more ‘Wolves’ at heart.” He rolled his shoulder in a shrug.
“I admit I have other thoughts on where I –should- vote, but, Sorry Boaz[/red], either you’re a villager who sympathizes too much with the wolves, or you’re a suicidal wolf I suppose.”

Makayla lifts her head, glance around as she watch Richard move to the corner next to his friend. Resting her head on top of her arms, she listen to the next choice. It would seem the next man would be the one sitting next to her. Turning her dark blue eyes towards him, she gives him a weak smile hoping he knew this was no hard feelings "Sorry, but they do have a point my friend. You decided to off yourself, so we might as well do it for you."
Lifting her finger, she pokes him lightly in the side.
"Well if everybody's gonna jump on Boaz," said Sawyer, wriggling to adjust Po's head on his shoulder and patting her hair as absently as if he were her distracted granny, "I'm just gonna vote on Poagain."

"What?" Silver eyes snapped up to Sawyer's face, and she gave him an odd look. Amused, curious, and just a dash of good humored outrage. She snorted, leaning a little more heavily against him. "I see how it is." It was obvious she in no way took offense to her friend's continued tossing up of her name to be lynched.
"Well, since no one else is going to bring it up, I think we the village should be looking at the ladies that had wanted our dear Richard dead in the beginning." She lifted a hand, pointing at Lena. "I vote for the lovely lady with the blue hair."

Busy trying to get Avery back for that pinch which was, no doubt, going to leave a bruise and had put alcohol up her nose, it took a minute to realize someone unfamiliar was spitting out her name. Turning, letting her frazzled brain go backwards in time to realize why her name was being spit out for lynching, she blinked twice.
"Wait so, I think a guy is a werewolf because he was being a slobbery, offensive animal so I try to lynch him. But because, somehow, I failed in getting him lynched I murder him with my werewolf buddies or something? But I would have had to know he wasn't a werewolf so whyyy save him in the first round and try to lynch him at the same time? Unless...I was trying to be sneaky? That's...well I guess that's clever. Somehow." Nudging both Zachary and Avery, she tried to get their opinion.
"Is that clever? I am unsure." A shrug. "Well honestly I was trying to get him to leave you alone but since you are on to my Dastardly Plan of Questionable Cleverness I'll have to eliminate you. Po, honey, you gotta go." A broad smile.
"That was clever!"

It came as no surprise to Boaz that he would be targeted next, one way or the other. While he took no offense to it since it was a game at the end of the day after all, he wasn't going to quietly oblige the others and let himself be offed without trying to get them to think harder over their decision.
"May I remind everyone here as to the purpose behind this game? We're trying to kill the werewolves before they get to us all. I assure you that picking me will be a big mistake." He took a deep breath and sighed, knowing that that hadn't really amounted to much before pointing to Suri. "No suicide. Not this time. I'm going with her instead."
While Avery wasn't particularly saddened to see Krishna go, her eyes widened momentarily at the reveal of his card, surprised to see that he was, in fact, simply rude, instead of a werewolf.
Dutifully closing her eyes, she waited out the night. Occasionally, there was a muffled giggle and a shuffle, but nothing particularly incriminating. Soon, Richard's card was flipped as well. Now her brows rose. Villager. He'd struck her as wolfish and particularly icky [and also quite a bit too drunk], but that too had been incorrect.
With both of the men gone, the circle was a little loose, and Avery used the opportunity to move and close the gap, smoothing her skirt as she sat on the vacated pillow between Vanya and Lena. Hazel eyes flicked over the survivor's faces as they began to sling around accusations, until Porsha turned on Lena.
A laugh bubbled up in the brunette's throat, spilling out as Lena began to talk, and she quickly stifled it with a hand, covering her bright grin. Apparently, Avery wasn't offended, but of course, Lena was the one with her head on the chopping block.
"Oh, no. Being a wolf seems like a lot of fun, but the only thing I'm guilty of is being wrong about Richard's card."

"You know," Gabriel said, raising his eyebrows, "you have to admit that picking yourself is pretty suspicious. So my vote is definitely for you." He pointed at Boaz. It was actually a little frustrating to realize how few names he actually knew in the room, because it would be nice to call people out by name.
It was also a little frustrating to him how seriously people were taking this. It was just a game, right? Even if "bonding" wasn't the word he'd use for what was happening.
Violet brows rose in a suggestive wiggle and a snap of her teeth as Lena called her out and added her vote with Sawyer's. "Quite the valiant little wolfy. I'm touched." The words were teasing, as was her tone. All in good fun.

[Apologies to everyone for belatedness of this "death" scene - went to visit a friend for the weekend. Just plopping Krishna in the corner and catching him up.]
The rainbow-haired man had nothing else to say. His host requested that he "play nice"--had he not been, thus far? His venom had been reserved only for when he was directly attacked. His companions feigned ignorance--when Porsha had clearly attacked Richard, yes, before the cards were passed out? Perhaps it was some new friendship to abuse one another so unprovoked. His king was disappointed in him? Not as much as Krishna that the one he had sworn to follow would throw his best Captain to the wolves, however proverbial. Not to mention Suri, who he had once considered friendly, if not a true friend. He accepted his death, and the beer Richard brought, in silence. No defense would protect him now, so he offered none.
With the card flipped to reveal his innocence, he glared at the lot of them and merely turned so that his back was facing them. They deserved nothing more; Vanya's attempt at an apology was blatantly ignored. His position also hid the scowl that crossed his face momentarily, when the topic of youma was brought up. Had Richard protested verbally, he would have jumpted to his defense. Hearing nothing, he remained in his spot, dignified and quiet if he was nothing else as his partner joined him. Only now did he change positions, to rest a calloused hand on his friend's shoulder. It was his own way of both asking if Richard was alright and providing comfort for the deeper issues Krishna knew afflicted the other man beyond the game that continued without them.
Ever rested his elbow on his knee and watched them, his eyes tracking. Some of them had, perhaps, picked up on how little this seemed to help them bond. He didn't seem bothered by it. His eyes were, maybe, a hair too interested, a touch too curious. Taking in what they said --
"It seems Boaz doesn't actually want to die. Are you sure you want to off him if he has a renewed will to live?"
