Adultry
“I’m going to be gone for a few days,” Xenosa said as she stared at both men with whom she now shared her home with. “I should be back next week on the first day. If you need anything you know how to reach me.”
“I hate that filthy bird, if I need anything I’ll take care of it myself.”
The Orderite grit her teeth and turned her back to them and left the estate to make her way to the carriage. As she was about to enter it a servant came running from the house.
“Mistress! You forgot your book for your travels,” The woman paused at the door and handed the book to Xenosa. “I added a page saver to the book so you knew where to begin.” And with that the servant was off running once more.
Xenosa turned the book over and motioned for the driver to start. She had not been reading this book. Frowning, she took out the page saver that had been added and found it to be a piece of paper which had been folded. Opening it up, Xenosa found an address and a time. She knew the address quite well and gave it to the driver who nodded. Now Xen was curious as to why she would need to meet someone at a hotel and why they had contacted her through her servant. She was losing her touch; she needed to get back into the game.
The hotel Xenosa had been contacted to arrive at was one for wealthy individuals only. The Orderite walked in with purpose and got herself a room before being helped up. Now it was just a waiting game. There was a soft knock at the door for room service with her dinner and Xen let them in. The woman pushed the cart inside and then pulled p her head so Xenosa could see her face.
“Vidosa? What are you doing here? Did you contact me?”
“Yes I needed to speak with you alone. Your husband needed to know that you were gone. Mistress I have news for you, it may not please you but you have always been kind to me and I know you are not a woman to cross.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Your husband mistress, he lays with the man whom he has brought. They have… Parties while you are gone and lay with each other. Tonight, there will be such a party; I could not allow them to keep fooling you. He was married to a woman to preserve his family’s title and money, he is the only male heir you see, the responsibility of the family name befalls onto him. They married him to you because his interests are with men.”
“ What?” Xenosa could feel her fury building. A feeling that had started at the bottom of her stomach as growing hotter and hotter until she thought she would faint she was so angry.
“Mistress?”
“Take me to him right now. I need to see this.”
The Orderite was silent as they road on horseback back to the estate. There was no time to waste with carriages.
“We will pass through the servant’s alley.” Xen followed the girl and slowed as they drew closer to her home. The servant led her through the back doors of the home, already the music was loud and Xenosa could see the shadows of men behind closed curtains. The woman took her upstairs to their main bedroom and then stopped at the door.
“I cannot go further.” And with that she turned around and walked down the corridor and disappeared behind a corner.
There were moans coming from inside the room, Xenosa thought about not entering but pushed the door open anyway. At first, Xenosa felt like she was watching some weird theatre unfolding before her. They did not notice her at first either. Three men. Her husband who was on top of Omard and a third man who she had never met was caressing her husband. The unknown man finally spotted her and yelped and jumped off the bed quickly. Sythen turned and saw her and removed himself from Omard and was coming towards her but Xen quickly closed the door and began to run.
But run where, she did not know. She just needed to get out.

the prize
buynig tear
Sometimes, just sometimes it was nice just acting like a noble lady. This was one of those days, she’d picked a town and gone. Xenosa had taken up residence in a lavish tavern and had bought clothing to match; now she squandered her day’s away reading and simply relaxing or hunting. Though most of the time was spent hunting, she enjoyed the expensive dinners and outings once in a while. It also felt nice to simply act normal because if things had been otherwise she would be spending all of her days simply roaming around as a noble enjoy life.
But that was not the case, which was why Xenosa took the time now. She was going to shop the day away. She was currently looking at some jewelry, the merchant was talking showing her piece after piece but nothing really interested her. Though she wasn’t listening to the man either. Finally, she gave him a smile and a polite shake of her head before moving on. How long would she have to keep this up? How many more days before she returned home? Back to the task on hand, Xenosa didn’t really know what she wanted to buy. She never usually did her own shopping.
There was a tent in a farish corner, tucked away hidden from most eyes that Xenosa did spot. A Dovaa man had just ducked into the tent and it made her curious. She knew it was a vendor’s tent because of the few useless items the owner seemed to have left out as if to avoid any customers from coming in. A small Orderite walked out of the tent, in his hand was a small box and he glanced around to see if anyone had seen him. He spotted Xenosa, gave her a small curt smile before he took off in the opposite direction and disappeared in the crowd.
Curious, Xenosa approached the tent and walked in herself. The place was packed with trinkets as well as odds and ends. She spotted the Dovaa putting away some peculiar items she’d only really ever heard of. She moved towards him, clearing her throat loud enough so he’d see her. He turned, obviously surprised and held in his hand was a Gaili Tear. He quietly hid it away from her gaze, but it was too late. Xenosa had seen the tear and wanted a better look at it.
“I’d like to buy that tear from you.”
“Are you sure you can afford it?” Xenosa gave him a pointed stare.
“I can probably buy everything in this tent if I really wanted to.” He took the box and slid it across the counter to her. “It’s a Gaili tear am I correct?”
“That you are.”
“Good.” Xenosa handed him the money and took the box, opening it once to see that it was the right tear and left the tent. She knew exactly who she was going to give this tear to, and he was sure he would be more than happy to receive it.
