"!"
He had to shield his eyes with his right arm as light came crashing down. He could feel the ground tremor, but his vision was slightly obscured for the moment by the spreading dust cloud.
His eyes widened as he stared, the view clearing little by little.
Heads up.
His right arm pulled out to the side, with it came a distinct metal on metal scraping sound as something was unsheathed.
From the outside it appeared to be little more than an ordinary Epee style Rapier. The blade seemed about 3.5ft long, very thin and only about 2inchs wide.
The hilt of the blade though was most magnificent. It was decorated with a luxurious cup shaped hand guard. And decorated in a similar manner to the greaves. It was made of a sort of dark metal with blood red trimming and the same myriads of tiny engravings along it.
But it would also seem a bit big for this class of blade. It was thicker, and a bit longer, but Vahn would be able to feel the light weight of the blade as he pulled it from the sheath and beheld its beauty.
The swords blade itself was shaped like a thin flame reaching upwards to a point, with several points of fire reaching outward. It was thin, but just thick enough for the blade not to bend, and each spike was sharped so that the point and both side of the sword were razor sharp. The blade itself held a very strange design. The metal of the blade was a burnt black as if it had never been polished, or would never be polished. And yet one could still make out the dull firey color textures it once held. All and all the blade felt as light as a feather.
However, this was not the first time that Vahn had drawn the blade; nor would it be the last.
"Sorry-- I'm going to have to play with you another day."
Running his left palm along the sword's edge, he let his blood run along it's length, which instantly ignited into blackened flames.
The moment the fire began to burn on the blades surface, the question of why its hilt was so big and bulky was answered. The blade black itself seemed to glow a fierce red as if it had just been pulled from the forge and then suddenly, it too was engulfed in flame, but this flame form lasted only a few moments before the sword began its transformation.
Vahn would almost instantly notice an increase in weight as the sword moved up from a simple one or two pounds to closer to 20 pounds. The flame that engulfed the blade forged itself. It thin and cut until it lost all semblance of flame itself. The once jagged rapier blade now only served as the core of a large, straight Flamberge. The sword grew now instead of 3.5ft long and 2inchs wide it was a full 4.5ft long and 5inches wide. The soot and ash had burned cleaned off the rapier blade leaving it as the shining and powerful core of this new Fang mode. With enough effort one could still wield the blade with on hand, only much slower. But, there was still room on the hilt for another hand if need be. The new flaming blade had the appearance of constantly, and yet sluggishly moving molten magma and yet it was still quite solid.
Even as that was being done, Vahn was already swinging his blade down, building a great deal of pressure within the Fang and heat to go along with that pressure. He would slame the flamberge downwards, causing a immense explosion to stretch forward and span outwards slightly, rocking the ground once more, and creating smokescreen cover; thanks to the issuing steam and blaze of flames that followed.
As the 'Explosion' tech went off, Vahn had left forward, and through the roiling smoke, Vahn would go running.
The only thing to be seen of him next, would be peircing yellowed eyes as he literally ran intereference towards the man that stood where the statude had once been.
It didn't require a genius to figure out what had happened.. and what would happen now.
"Hello."
Colliding shoulder first, Vahn would aim to send the man sprawling down to the ground with violent force.
This would cause the coin to either leave his grasp if it didn't already go into bag, or send him and bag flying.

Angel sighed, watching opaj walk off. She knew right away that she had hurt his feelings, which wasn't her intention. The kitties were, after all, just acting like wild cats, many she'd seen before.
She jetted off towards him, heading towards Bass'Ken Lake, hoping she didn't lose him. It would be a horrible feeling if he couldn't forgive her.

Or so Vahn's tech should have worked, if Allen wasn't naturally paranoid. When the explosion happened, three possibilities ran through his mind. He doubted that it was a failed attack, and he doubted that the man was the kind of person to run. Therefore. that left him as the target, seeing as he'd just grabbed something interesting.
And so, almost immediatly, he went up. He was launched into the air, maybe even as Vahn would have rushed underneath him, his wings forming and carrying him even higher. Out of Vahns reach by quite a bit, unless Vahn started throwing flames around.
And yes, by now the coin was in his bag. And Allen had his senses open, watchign for more attacks and ready to summon his weapon in an instant.

Jacknife's eyes flashed purple and what felt like a fist collided with Vahn's face. Since it was pure thought put into reality all Jacknife had to do was think of it connecting with Vahn's face. At the same time he connected another at the back of Vahn's knee, pushing forewards. These two should knock him, if not all the way over, at least off cource. As a secondary precaution Jacknife sent the rest of his force to stand in front of the Jeep. It would not completely stop Vahn if he ran into it, but he would loose enough power that anything he hit wouldent be effected much.

As Vahn immolated the blade, Masuyu's gut was warning him of an attack. Before the blade was swung, Masuyu was gathering his powers, projecting a ramp from the ground that would carry any attack or attacker up and over the jeep, effectively diverting and potential danger to the jeep or it's occupants.
His insticts served his right as the attack followed the ground until the edge of Masuyu's barrier/ramp, where the explosive force was directed up and over everyone in the jeep.

Uh oh. Alexiel got a bird's eye view of the fight going on thanks to Dae's eyes. Someone had attacked Vahn without touching him, which meant there was another like her there. Question was... who was it.
Alexiel reached out feeling at the minds of the people who had been in the jeep. Who was using their little brain the most? Who was telekenitic? And then she found him, quite obviously it was him. "Oi Mr. it's not nice to pick on people like that." Alex called out to Jacknife. "Why don't you try someone who's a little more on your level?" A grin.
Daemon decided to take matters into his own claws. He would follow the now winged man into the air, beady black eyes never leaving the bag at his side. Oh how he wanted that shiney.

Jacknife paid no attention to the shouts as his pistol twirled into his hand. Dont get too far away. He sent to Allen. The shot rang out and a bullet wizzed at the bird. He was more than good enough of a shot to hit it from this range. He fired another shot to make sure.

Breaking out of the cover of all the heat, haze, and smoke, Vahn would find nothing apparently. Breaking hard by digging Efreet's edge into the ground, he immediately stared upwards.
"Tch---!"-
He'd been running with Efreet held behind him, two handed, and shoulder forward so as to charge, so the breaking was easy.
It was then that he felt himself get punched from thin air, right against hise nose. His body jerked backwards but didn't move, his hands holding firmly onto Efreet.
At the same moment, he felt a blow go to his knee, which forced him to bow slightly.
However whatever had just him him... was pathetic. The blows didn't mean much, as he kept his gaze to the sky. He had his target finally, and coupled with what his partner had told him so far... well.
He raised up off the ground, standing at full height again.
"If your not going to come down---"
Hefting his Fang straight up and letting it rest along his shoulders, yellowed eyes narrowed.
"---then I'll burn your wings!"
He slashed the Fang outwards in front of him, aiming skyward and towards the now winged man. It would release a spray of searing black flame to fan outwards in an arc.
Needless to say, it was like a curved fang.

But Alex was already well prepared to protect her avian companion and boy had the b*****d done a no no when he shot at Daemon. The bullets never made it to their target, Alexiel stopped stopped them and let them fall harmlessly to the ground. As Dae veered off in his circling, keeping his distance from the winged man.
She urged the horse forward even as she mentally willed the gun out of the man's hand. This time she raised her voice so that it would be hard to ignore her. "And now you're picking on harmless little animals. You just made one big mistake a*****e. No one shoots at my bird and gets away with it."

Allen simply sighed as he saw the flames coming at him, and used a burst of speed to go up. Higher and higher, until he reached cloud cover, and then he dissapeared into that. Really, he had no interest in getting his wings burnt again, even if they were scaled and flame resistant.
And so, once in the clouds, he used the cover to move away. He wasn't sure what direction he was going, but it'd get him out of the immediate area. The others could find him later.

Allen wasn't going anywhere without Dae. The bird was keeping his distance but he was still watching the man and still following.

The gun did not leave his grasp. He held on too tightly. He turned it and aimed at the girl. I would really rather not have us all fighting right now. We are all trying to accomplish the same goal are we not? We want to release the angels. He sent to her.

The explosion woke Flare up; she'd fallen asleep in the back of the jeep.
"What the hell is going on?" she shouted. She glanced up, seeing Allen running from black flame. Vahn on the ground, apparently the source; how many people did you know whose flames were black?
She stood and drew her rapier, at the same time sending this information on to Owle...

Masuyu saw a strategic advantage in eliminating Alex's horse. Though his ideology went against the murder of animals, he decided it wouldn't be counted as innocent, and the negative karma would be neutralized. He raised a hand, spreading his fingers apart slightly. Focusing his power to the tips of his fingers, he fired a beam from each directed at Alex and the horse, at height with the horse's body. Either the horse or Alex herself would be hit, even if she reared to the side in an attempt to dodge; in any case the horse would be wounded and prove useless as a mount.

On her way out of the Durem Shopping District, Owle's eyes widened.
He's doing what?
Once Flare had confirmed it for her, Owle reached out with her telepathic powers, a single tendril, a single snake seeking Vahn's mind.
"Vahn, what the hell are you doing?" Owle's angry voice would ring out in his head. "I thought you were going to help me, not try and kill the people trying to save me!"
