Stirred by the motion, a few more posters and club-related decorations fell from the walls. Dust stirred in the corner of one of the rooms as a few more pieces of ceiling came loose, but no more shadowlings came with it.
Several shadowlings seem to fizzle and recede and finally quiet. Is it over?
Before anyone can respond, the ground begins to shake a little, slowly, steadily, as thick black holes appear from the sides, from all angles, large yellow eyes beadily staring out.
What can be destroyed will only come back stronger

The masked Engraver turned her head toward Diana and offered a small smile and also gave her a small gentle pat to the arm that had healing affects. "It is quite alright. Do your best..."
Lattice's time as a recluse has left her a bit socially awkward and more than willing to invade personal space.

The shadows came to the walls and these were much larger, and shaped different than the ones before. Getting to his feet, he braced himself for another assault. He could feel the cold running through his body as he looked at them. Yet, it wasn't the chilling sensation of fear. He grinned as his long, black tail whipped behind him. He was more excited.
"Come, Hellhound." He called to the one known as 'Damian'.

Was AJ actually fighting? He wasn’t so sure, but impressive, AJ’s attack certainly was. “Yeah that’s better.” The area was now clear of a lot of shadowlings. Though head seemed angry for some reason. Maybe they ate his stuff too. "Yeah like..."
And then more formed, bigger, meaner stronger. “Oh Jack…” Andrew powered up fireballs forming in his hands and around his body before he threw them at the larger shadowlings. One came for his face causing him to turn. It caught on to tail only to be flung into a wall where it disappeared, but not before leaving claw marks on his back though. Andrew’s other fireballs got rid of the two of the other larger shadowlings but one was only half damaged.
“It hurts…” nope, Andrew was done. It was fun when they were small, now… Andrew edged closer to Danny. Usually, he wouldn't be caught dead this close to her, but now... being injured sucked. And these were a lot scarier.

the creatures that remained did not look similar to the ones before, if only by mere association of being black with hollow, emotionless amber eyes. That was it. Damien could see it with his own green peepers. "They are getting larger." the words felt foreign, like it didn't come out of his mouth, that it was someone else's realization. But it was there, in plain sight. their movements changed as well, more sharper and aggressive in nature.
It did not bode well. The playfulness was out of his voice, no more easy going times as he was helped up and moved to stand on his own two feet. "i'm fine for now, really, thank you Lattice, Diana." in answered in gratitude and pausing to gather the appropriate words to the demon ghoul. "The situation might be getting worse, be on guard." he offered to the ghouls, ushering the engraver to find safety for the moment and toward those that needed the same tender care.
Also her ear pets were very nice.
How the mutt knew he was a hellhound took demi by surprise, ears pricked up high and alert and dropping back down. "Im guessing you can tell by smell, huh?" he asked, maybe this one wasn't a brickhead like he assumed, joining the fray. whatever he was, its was mostly one that liked to fight, that much was plausible.
and that was fine, for now. "Don't get hasty out, you don't want to meet the school nurse yet." More like ever.

Uru stood back, as much as he liked to fight, this was not one he was particularly comfortable with. He would fight the hardest and toughest combatants, but at least then it was plausible to win. Here, it felt futile and they were only hurting themselves. The fact that they still resembled minis also bothered him to a degree. By standing back, he could properly analyze them for their behavior and act accordingly.
This was not a fight any one of them could do alone without getting banged up.
He looked to his fellow canine and smirked behind his scarf. He could smell him, he could smell a lot of things, but certain things stood out. It also helped he resembled a canine, enough so that he could almost place him among the hellhound families. That was if he could recall any beyond the Umbra and Cocytus.

that grin that was behind the scarf, Damien was unsure if it had any meaning, there was no emotion that he could pick up from the other hellhounds cobalt eyes. It was strange to his own expressive emerald ones.
strange, strange and more strange. All the voices didn't seem to feel threatened by the boil's presence. trust was almost instant when he took the lead. "Then make sure you can keep up, mutt." the tones was light, airy and mischievous, the fanged grin in place before dropping low and sweeping a armored leg out and knocking the first set of creatures down and out of the way. "Until I can find out the status of my other friends, I guess some crowd control is needed. Can't have them rescuing me."

The ghoul wouldn't have thought that she would have been able to recover from such a statement directed at her personal life; that really had no basis or just.. didn't exist. But well, a new onslaught of creatures would do it.

He looked tired. And part of her wouldn't want to try to use her new spell on him after what he had said about her. But, she couldn't bring herself to let him linger like that. Taking a big sigh, Maple reached down and retrieved her broom and held it out at him.
She channeled the magic as she had before, feeling the small trickle of power as before it seemed to backlash on her. Or well, something happened. The witch yelped, almost dropping her broom again.

The other canine bounded forward into the fray and Uru kept pace a good steps behind. He was a good fight, he would give him that. If it weren't for this current issue, he could see the two them fighting some time. The blue eyes, for him, were not his normal state, but appeared during fights. This fact indicated that he was not playing by no means.
A shadow darted from the wall toward Damian, instinctively, Uru jumped in the path, barring the creature from harming the leader of the two.
"Flank." he uttered as he fell to his feet and returned to keep pace with Damian. They could come out of anywhere, and their behavior was still... predicable.

"Don't whine at me. I told you I'm not a body guard, come here, just use Danny, she's like... super strong." he frowned at Maple, not leaving his new best friend ever.
Turning he saw another student suddenly acting as protection. He tried to aim a wave of fire around the student and then saw it was some kind of dog. nope. Andrew grabbed onto Danny's back and stayed right there. Nope. He was done and ready to go back to his dorm now please.

AJ was a bit tired from the exercise, but Andrew's comment made him feel it's worthwhile. Then, creatures of bigger size appeared, they are fatter than the tiny things before? The serpent-dragon boil watched as Andrew made a neat fireball bomb and then - hided up behind a ghoul.......Oh well, at least he didn't need to worry about him.
He also noticed that the little witch was wielding her dear broom in front of him, as if casting some kind of spells, maybe a protection one? "Thanks dear! I feel better." No matter what, her intention was good even though AJ didn't know the effect of it. He gave a tender smile to Maple, showing that he was okay.
Back to Andrew, he was advertising the ghoul like she was a powerful shield, oh my, cool boil.

AJ saw Andrew hided behind Danny, but he didn't know who's Danny yet.
My last post for the night, have to try and recondition myself back into my usual sleep schedule. Ill reply in the morning.
First he was in front, and all of a sudden the lump of a hound was moving p, deflecting a shadow thing from eating his second coat. The sheepish feeling of leaving himself unguarded made his ears burn and embarrassed. "Well you did say you would have my back, right? looks like you meant it!" he replied back, the happy go lucky grin was set back in place.
Up until the boil mentioned something food like. "As in steak? WHERE?" the shorter hellhound asked, darting his head back and forth for some creature that was carrying a piece of meat that was soon going t have his name on it.
And his teeth, don't forget the teeth. "I'll share it with you if you can point it out to me, i promise, 30/70. 70 for me."

The cold hound stood his ground, spread himself to ready for an attack from anywhere.
"Hardly the time to talk about food, Damian." he spoke in a rather deep voice, perhaps amplified by the scarf that covered his neck and mouth. Swatting away a shadow that seemed to almost giggled as it retreated into the shadows again.
Standing up right, he chuffed. "If I killed it, I'd be more generous with my share. 60/40, 60 going to me." Perhaps the most he had spoken tonight, as he tightened his gloves around his fists. Cracking his knuckles and neck, he returned to his braced stance.
A scream outside grabs his attention. Looking about, he saw the people present and some still joining them. There were many here, which meant that they should be fine. There were others out there still needing help.
"Damian. They're in your hands. I will go help others." He gently jabbed at the hellhounds shoulders, entrusting the group to him and the club house. With that, he darted off to assist those who needed him.

The rooms that were generally reserved for club meetings wasn't really the most logical of choices for 'first place to go in the instance of a shadow-eating-thing-pocalypse', but it was one of the only places that Thackery could get to that wasn't covered in them.
This still might not have been the best choice, he realized, considering the size of the things in here was at least twice the size of the ones in his room. Some were getting dangerously close to chomping on the edge of his tail, too; muttering under his breath, he climbed into a chair and swatted at the nearest shadowling with a rolled up poster.
"Is anything making them stop?" he called to the others, hoping they might have an answer for this.
