Prologue 1:
XXXAudra rams into Katarina like a typical anime intro where boy meets girl...wait my MU is a girl and so is Katarina...Anyways! Rody and Luke also make a little cameo which their shenanigans. Onwards to the actual battle! This chapter was fairly straight forward and easy, charge and pummel the soldier and also pummel Jeigan and get dat exp.

User ImageUser ImageUser Image

User Image

Prologue 2:
XXXTurns out you and Katarina are put on the same team as Luke and Rody. However Luke wants to challenge you in order to be commander. Even though I can use the other units that I didn't draft freely in the prologue chapters, I wanted to take on the challenge of not using Ryan at all in this chapter. It took a little bit of thought, but I managed to have Ryan untouched when he stays on the fort and out of Rody's range once I take out Luke. The Battle wasn't difficult either with my beefy awesome Audra. Rody was also nice enough to move from the fort which I gladly sat on as he tried to kill me. And also at the end it turns out that Luke's nickname for me is "Audra the Ordinary". Was hoping for something cooler, but oh wells.

User ImageUser Image
User ImageUser Image
(Hooray for catching a screenshot with Luke looking derpy)

User Image

Prologue 3:
XXXThis prologue started to prove a bit difficult due to the fact I was really trying hard to have everyone else unharmed while Audra took on all the units by herself for max exp. Unfortunately, to me it was pretty much impossible so Rody and Luke ended up getting a small amount of exp as the enemy units kept charging at them no matter what. I still made sure Audra got all the kills cause Juicy exp. Caeda was no match for my awesome MU and she got taken down pretty easily. Pretty much the only reason the chapter gave me a hard time was because I was trying to hog everything for Audra.

User ImageUser Image
(I just realized, Caeda seems to be looking at Audra with suggestive eyes)

User Image

Prologue 4:
XXXThis chapter is always hilarious to me because Wrys has a funny entrance. This chapter wasn't all that difficult as I shoved everyone into the corner as Audra took down the lil guys. Jeorge was the reason I had to reattempt this chapter multiple times, along with that no state level up (couldn't live with that so I resetted a couple more times lol). Audra did manage to beat Jeorge by a close call of 1 HP, felt pretty good. And at the end of the chapter I finally get a second unit from my draft, Gaggles!

User Image User Image
User Image User Image
(Oh don't worry Jeorge, you'll definitely by fighting alongside me soon enough)

User Image

Prologue 5:
XXXWith Audra and the rest of the 7th platoon getting lost, they just happen to stumble upon a village that is being attacked and come to the rescue. In addition, Merric joins the cause!...too bad I'm not using him as a draft unit so he just gets the corner. This chapter was pretty easy, utilizing the forts and forests, Gaggles and Audra easily took down the units and the boss while all the undrafted units cuddles in a corner together. Also, Roro entrance. That is all.

User ImageUser Image
User ImageUser Image
(I also wonder how Merric figured out I was in charge by the color of my hair... )

User Image

Prologue 6:
XXXFINALLY, I can actually decide on which units I can actually deploy into battle, no more needs to huddle all undrafted units into a corner. Other than Luke freaking out Ryan by trying to have 'feminine grace' in order to pick up girls, this chapter was fairly simple. Using Gordin to soak up some damage for Audra, in addition with some kiting skills, eventually all the units fell to my awesome tactician skills. Draug was easier than I thought he was going to be since I had no mages. Also I'm sad I can't use Cecille because she's such a cool unit and I don't have her drafted *sniff*

User Image User Image
User Image User Image
(I have no words for Draug's statement...instead I'll let all of you guys say what I'm thinking instead. You're welcome)

User Image

Prologue 7:
XXXIt's time for the final test! I thought that only having Audra and Gordin that this chapter would prove a lot more difficult than how it actually panned out. Thanks to Audra's beefiness, she withstood a good number of hits as well as Gaggles. When the reinforcements arrived, they easily got taken down by the dynamic duo and Cain was no problem either as Audra challenged him to a D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-Duel. (Though she had a fort on her side) And with the fact I took down Cain, the 7th platoon has now passed their final test as junior knights!.

User ImageUser Image
User ImageUser Image

It's a happy day for the 7th platoon! Audra even is attempting a new hairstyle, which is just Cecille's hairstyle that she offered to Audra. Now they are twinsies! (until I remove the hairstyle) Things seem like nothing would totally go wrong from here.

User ImageUser Image
(caught Luke in the act of derpy eyes again. This is just great)

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE

User Image

Prologue 8:
XXXBAM PLOT TWIST TIME. Turns out your loyal friend and tactician was sent to be an inside (wo)man for the assassination of Prince Marth. Now Audra and the 7th platoon must fight their beloved friend, DUN DUN DUN. This chapter was pretty tough, but alas I finally have another character to use! Now I have Marth, Audra, and Gaggles to take on this chapter. The chapter proved to be somewhat tough in my first few attempts as I was being a bit too aggressive against all these silver axe fighters as well as those mages when all my guys have 0 res. Eventually I just played this map a lot more defensive and used the throne to my advantage too and eventually took down all the incoming reinforcements. Katarina almost took me out but all my guys managed to survive and stop the assassination attempt for today.

Do You Feel a Draft?
Rath's Fun Times in Archanea

Last Time: I made a sloppy looking starting draft post! Let's continue.

User Image

I hadn't played so long that I forgot only Marth can visit villages. So, my strategy of having Gurrrl~ visit the one down below quickly got thrown out the window, but at least she took out the thief. After that, I had her fly over the mountains, where she took out the enemies and boss before Marth could get there to seize. Speaking of, I had Yumina rescue him down below after he got the first villages because ******** that long walk up top to get Castor, who I'm not even using. Still got him, though. Draug, Gaggles Jr, and Luke swept house of all the bandits and their reinforcements- or at least the ones Ogma and SRS didn't kill by having them run into their weapons. Yumina got a level from the rescue and healing, but she's not on my team, so I didn't bother screencapping. Have fun with her, Tiki!

Levels:
User ImageUser ImageUser Image
I'm a little worried about Ryan's speed - and wtf Gurrrl~, you can do better than that.

User Image

User Image
Whelp. Thanks for the depressing news, sassy Jeigan.

User ImageUser ImageUser Image
Draug and Gurrrl~ C: Basically, Gurrrl~ really admires him and wants to be like him. She's heard stories about him and his greatness in the previous war. Sassy Draug just like "Um..." and that's about it.

Okay, so let's get this show on the road! I bring a weaponless Ogma with me to recruit Barst, because I'm a**l about recruiting everyone. They do nothing the rest of the chapter. I also bring Julian with me in order to pick up Rickard, because Rickard is our free thief, so I'll be using him!

User ImageUser Image
Rickard plz.... | RICKARD PLZ.....

....Moving on. The layout of this map is a bit trollish, in my opinion. and putting that village up top is downright cruel, when only Marth can visit. If this draft were a speed run, no way would I be getting it. In any case, I have Gurrrl! and Luke bait down the cavaliers and then send Gurrrl~ to fly over and kill the wyvern riders one by one. Meanwhile, Draug leads the way over the bridge and I have a little slow time getting passed the knights and taking out the first ballistician. As soon as I get near the boss, also a ballistician, the cavaliers rush for me. Luke, Marth, Draug and Gaggles Jr. work together to survive. I'm not putting Gurrrl~ anywhere close to that boss with his arrowspate. Rickard gets no chance to leech exp. and I didn't bother with the secret shop. I did, however, have Marth trek up and visit the village... apparently we are greeted by Leena's grandfather? Well cool. Time to go take on Lang!

Levels:
User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image
Luke and Gurrrl~...no more 2 stat levels!

User Image

User ImageUser Image
Aw... thanks, sassy brah! You're not so bad your.... nvm...

User Image
Tsk! Gurrrrrrrl? You don't need to be seein' no other man. You got a man. Don't be going' cheatin' on Marth like that, I don't care how sassy you are.

Alright, fine, I'm taking Caeda to go recruit Samto so that I don't kill him. She's weaponless just in case. Rickard goes off to do thief things and doesn't get a chance to get exp. Gurrrl~ takes out the mage to the right first thing and then I send her down to greet Frey and Norne as well as well some enemy reinforcements. Draug and Luke tank the knights to the left with ryan and Marth as support and then everybody heads back down to deal with enemy reinforcements. Draug and Luke tank those, too. Once they get there, Gurrrl~ goes to take out the two bishops so that Rickard can get to the chests without being 'swarm'ed. Everybody heads up top and Luke tanks more knights and a bishop, and then the rest of the team rushes in so that only Lang is left. I chip away at him and Marth finishes the job.

Levels:
User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image
Some nice levels... except you, Marth.

User Image
You can say that again! Get your holy healer butt onto my team, you glorious man, you!

Awesome! Guess I'm doing good so far.

User Image

User Image
Uh... sir? Jeigan aint yo gurrrl. Don't be cheatin'.

User ImageUser Image
Ryan and Gurrrl~ A: Um.... I don't think you're old enough to be propositioning me, sir... just saying... I'm a little uncomfortable about it | ...Oh. Oh, well, that's sweet, actually. Ok.

Now then, the hardest thing about this side story is keeping Caesar and Radd from suiciding on you. But not only am I a**l about recruiting everyone... I also HAVE to get Radd. Who is apparently not a girl. Cough. Anyway....first chapter with Wendell on the team! He gets a kill. whee! I thought Caesar and Radd were going to stay on their nice, safe forts at first, but when I realized they were going to be stupid, I had Gurrrl~ instantly take out Roro and Luke helped clear the path for Marth to go seize. Also, Rickard gets some leeches.

User Image
Hooray!

Well it's about time we got this rolling again. I hope to see lots of Akaneia fun from everyone.

Casualville: The funtime underdog draft!
Not to be confused with Casual Mode, gawds no. Classic hard is the way to be. The title refers to the lack of turncount-worrying and the relaxed pace of my run.

The Crew: Yumina, Samto, Castor, Frey, Sheema, Samson, Katarina, Catria, Sedgar, Macellan, Ogma
Free to use: Marth, MU, Rickard, Feena, Nyna, Lena, Maria, Elice, and anyone in the chapter they debut in.

Prologue 1: You know what’s worse than bumping into a girl on a flying horse? Bumping into a freaking armor knight! Oh well. Waifu seems alright after the collision.

Thus begins the adventures of Bubba, the armor knight! Or Bubba the Scarred as Luke calls him. Born to a clergyman in the Altean countryside, Bubba always felt too diverse to stick to a simple farming life. So he decided to become an Altean knight, and one day, he will end up very wealthy. No one can hurt him! So he puts Jagen in his place. Jagen can double him, but he is but a mosquito nipping at his armored heels.

Bubba gets decent first level that even includes a point of res. This is a good sign.

Prologue 2: Ryan gets in some hits but Bubba does the heavy lifting.

Prologue 3: Yeah Waifu, you’d better be afraid of Sheeda. She’s an amazing woman, even though she isn’t as amazing as she was in Shadow Dragon and gets beaten out in this game by Palla and Catria. Still, Marth and Nom are lucky, lucky men.

Some characters can actually hurt Bubba this time around. But only for two damage a hit. I couldn’t keep Ryan from taking some hits, but of course he couldn’t counterattack. Luke and Ryan got more action then I wanted to, and Sheeda is actually dangerous to them thanks to her speed. Unfortunately Luke gets the kill, though.

Prologue 4: Bubba is a bit of a dim bulb so he doesn’t know how Marth operated during the War of Shadows. In other words, it’s time to fight Athena. Sheeda only gets in one hit to off the archer before he offs her. Luke and Rody take some unarmed hits from Athena so that no one dies. No damage to Bubba.

Oh Elice, Marth may be a bit vulnerable, but he’s got nerves of steel compared to how he was in the original Mystery of the Emblem. He took some of his Shadow Dragon Snark and Edge into FE12 with him, even though he is still sort of slow on the uptake in the story proper. I am a bit iffy on the prologue just driving in nails that get driven in during the actual story, like Marth clinging to his ideals in the face of the messy real world, but it’s not bad, I don’t think. Though, Elice, it might still be best to wait until the actual story starts and Marth has to face these things himself. Marth doesn’t need Bubba to keep his ideals safe, he’s already got them at his core and serves as the central beating heart of FE lord-dom.

Prologue 5: Merric simply remarks at Bubba’s brown hair. What, no fancy adjectives? Brown hair is best hair.
One of the normal mooks does more damage to Bubba then the boss does. In other words, the mook does one damage, the boss and everyone else does none. Athena kills a hunter, Merric sits it out.
Bubba is bothered by the man in the funny mask. Either that or he is just enamored with the best name change EVER, Legion!

Prologue 6: Chicks dig the Bubba.

Hi there Frey! I look foreward to using your not-dead self in the future!
Bubba takes the field with Cecille using borrowed lances. Draug’s defense is six points below Bubba’s, big whoop. But that mage is serious business, and while Bubba can take him out all by himself, the mage and a single two damage hit from Draug is enough to take Bubba out, not to mention Cecille. So they take it slow and allow the soldiers and mages to come to them, with Bubba getting all but one of the kills.

Prologue 7: Man, am I glad that Marth and Hardin are such good friends.
Marth has never been my favorite lord, but I like him now more than I used to, especially his shadow dragon incarnation. He’s what you’d expect from the original FE lord, and while he isn’t as overblown as future lords, I respect his dedication to his army and country, and his desire to make everyone happy, even in the face of harsh realities. He can be a bit dense, but I like that the game sort of straddles that line. Though from the way he’s talking it sounds like he could be talking about Shadow Dragon Gaiden chapters.

Bubba takes on the chapter alone. He grows a few levels, downside is that I have to discard some things.
Hecks yeah there’s no one as impressive as Bubba. I guess none of the other groups are finicky Fire Emblem perfectionists.

So Wai- erm, Katarina was born in Knorda. I do acknowledge bringing up Knorda, the seedy armpit of Akaneia, to give her some background simply by being associated with a place we already know to be awful from seeing it. It gives what she does a little more substance. Though she’s still pretty much here to be Waifu, unfortunately. Though I like that most of the MU stuff is kept to the prologue and side stories instead of being as in your face as Awakening is. Probably because FE3 already had an established story and all of this stuff serves to add some of the new to the old.

Pssh, but enough of that, I wanna change Bubba's hair!

Prologue 8: HEADBAND BUDDIES YEAAAAAH! Bubba feels like an Ike with this thing on.

Waifu has betrayed us! I’m sure Bubba is just heartbroken. I actually heard that when Katarina was first introduced, she got backlash because they thought that she just existed to be Waifu. But then when she revealed herself to be an Assassin, it threw quite a few people for a loop. If I didn’t know it before going into FE12 I wonder if it would have thrown me too.
Now lots of enemies can hurt Bubba! He got better growths in my original draft file! Though no matter what, with only Knight MU and Marth it is going to be a bit more challenging no matter what. So it takes a few tries, a few vulneraries, and a few resets. But I do it. I wanted Marth to get most of the levels if he could help it, since Bubba has already gotten quite a few.

Bubba finishes up the prologue at level 14.

It’s a terrible thing… she seemed so sad, and to think that she gained everyone’s trust so easily, only to betray it so terribly. This will be a load on everyone’s shoulders.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO CHANGE YOUR HAIRSTYLE OKAY.

Bye bye Katarina, I look foreward to using you to defeat Gharnef!

Chapter 1: Alright, time for the real story already!

You all know the story already, so I’ll keep the summarizing to a minimum. Maybe I’ll talk about how it differs from FE3 or when something pops up that I feel the need to point out.

Though I know I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. The CGs in this game are beautiful. I actually liked the rough, cross-hatched Shadow Dragon CGs even with the dull colors, but these are so colorful and suit the game so well.

General Lang. What a nice man, truly the most subtle of FE characters.
Right off the bat, I reclass Bubba into a Mercenary. I grab Malicia (No way she could pass for ten in this game) from the village even though I won’t be able to use her. Marth gets a lot of kills, Bubba starts getting that sword level up.

I think the scene with Lorenz is far better in New Mystery. For one big reason.

User Image

Dat Angle. Those shadows. I remember when the translation patch for FE12 just came out, and seeing people react to this being so early in the main game. Eeesh. Having him explode in Mystery was really doofy, and I think this is much better (sorry, Leaf!). Though playing the victory music immediately after he dies does undercut it.

User Image User Image User Image
Congratulations, general. You’ve become priority number 1 on Rath's hit list. I hope you have a really good helmet.

Chapter 2:
User Image
Ooh, I bet you say that to all the reclassed armor knights. heart

Oh Macedon. How I love thee. I even get Catria, who will undoubtedly become my ace. I actually didn’t use her in my first FE12 playthrough because of all the milage she got in FE3 (but by that logic I shouldn’t have used Palla either, but whatever). Now I get to use her anew. It’s about time I actually get some units!

I recruit Cord and have him and Bubba lure the hunters away from Catria as she goes after the Lady Sword thief. She then recruits Warren, and he does nothing. Bubba runs out of iron sword uses in the middle of the chapter. Whoops.

Chapter 1:
XXXWoooo chapter ooonneee. Nothing much to say about this chapter except for Lorenz was cool. Obviously you can tell something is up. Didn't get any new units got some levels etc. etc. I played this chapter a while ago so I don't even know what else to say about it since my memory is....yeah. Moving on.

User ImageUser Image
User ImageUser Image

User Image

Chapter 2:
XXXThis chapter was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Getting the lady sword for Audra was pretty simples too since I just had her charge at the thief and then she pretty much solo'd that side. The cavaliers gave me a bit of trouble since there were so many of them, but eventually took them out. Picked off the Wyverns one by one and then took out the boss thanks to Gaggles and his amazing archery skillets.

(It seems that they drugged Linde or something. I'm worried)

User Image

Chapter 3:
XXXChapter threeee. I get three more units which is awesome. Palla, Bord, and Linde. This chapter took a lot longer than I wanted to because I kept making stupidly bad tactical choices which caused me to have Palla die more times than she should have. Eventually I walked all the way around the map and KILLED MATTHIS FOR EXP, MUHAHAHAHA. thank god that this draft doesn't need a low turn count race cause I would've wasted so many turns during this chapter

User ImageUser Image
User ImageUser Image

User Image

Chapter 3x:
XXXAll I can say is, BORD WRECKED FACE WITH A HAMMER ON THIS MAP. Thank god for Palla's flyingness cause I was one turn away from losing Wrys and she flew to the rescue to take out the knight. This map was was basically solo'd by Bord and he got some decent levels off of it too which was great. Palla and Linde got some nice levels as shown below too.

User ImageUser Image
User ImageUser Image
User ImageUser Image
Poor Gaggles being insecure about his looks and not being treated right.
How adorable, no wonder you're called Gaggles.
Also Audra looks unamused by Gaggles' comment.

User Image

Chapter 4:
XXXWoo I get more party members! Sirius and Yubello joining my party. This chapter was pretty straight forwards. Sirius being a tank wall to allow Yubello to get some kills and a few levels since he needs some babying cause he's a baby. Other than that, my team was strong enough to basically handle everything and not worry about dying.

User ImageUser Image
Audra looks so beautiful, I'm disappointed that she's not completely bald though.
User ImageUser Image
User ImageUser Image
I'm sorry but I can't take this situation seriously when Audra's hair looks like that
