"That wouldn't surprise me..." Tala suddenly tensed, cursing himself as he realised what he'd just said would probably make her feel even worse...

With the cave now somewhat illuminated, he could see she was bleeding and calmly reached for the pouch on his belt; after a moment of fumbling, he pulled out a small tub of something before tearing off a strip from the base of his shirt...

"Come here..." he said, taking her hand gently before putting a small scraping of cream from the tub on the edge of the cloth-strip and wrapping it around the wound... "It'll sting...but it'll stop the bleeding..." Once Caran had gained his trust, the Mage had taken the time to teach him how to make creams and lotions to help with minor injuries...

Once Tala had tied the cloth, he rose to his feet, casting a glance about them before looking back towards Rosa... "The cave seems to stretch a distance in that direction," he pointed, "It'd probably be better to keep going...there might be another way out."

He turned to leave, then stopped, turning back, "We can rest here a little longer if you want to...?" he was starting to realise the Princess wasn't built like him and probably couldn't keep going as long as he could...

She looked up to him as he stood, listening then slowly nodded, standing up but stumbled. It showed she was exhausted but she didn't want to slow him down. "I'm okay...let's go." She tried to lie but it was a poor lie as she went to walk up beside him and stumbled, falling against him. She looked down her cheeks red in embarrassment. "I'm sorry, I guess my legs aren't ready." She said softly looking up to meet his eyes, her cheeks still a light red then became more red as she realized she was still holding onto him. She eeped letting go, curtsying and almost fell over doing so. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hold onto you so long. Eep!" She almost fell again, stumbling, reaching out to him to catch herself again, her cheeks even more red from her falling over so much. She didn't want to slow him down but her legs were exhausted as was her body and it wanted rest even if she thought it didn't need it.

"It's...fine...!" Tala flinched, eventually catching hold of her so she'd stop stumbling before letting her sit down. He then discretely wiped the touch off before sitting down a short distance away...

"We'll wait until you're ready." he said eventually, drawing his knees up to his chest before wrapping his arms around them. The cave was a lot warmer than the weather outside, that was for sure...

They seemed to sit in silence for some time, Tala keeping an ear out for the beast which hadn't ceased in its attempts to get inside the cave... He was sure it would become tired at some point...but until then, he remained alert...

In the meantime, he wondered how Caran was...if at all he'd survived... wondering if the warning had come from him?

She had noticed Tala's flinch but said nothing about it, having not wanted to make him uncomfortable. After a few more minutes she slowly began to stand up slowly, taking it easy before testing her legs, staying near the wall to support herself if needed. When she was sure she could walk properly she nodded to Tala softly. "I'm....ready." She said softly, her voice sounded softer, her eyes down before looking to Tala then down, her hands folded in her lap as she stood still to wait for him. She was silent again before softly speaking again when they would begin to walk. "Thank you....for saving me....from that beast. That was...very brave. I will repay you with anything you would like when we can reclaim the castle." She said softly, walking slowly beside him, now wishing she wasn't in heels but kept quiet. She planned to buy different shoes in the next town they could find, if one could be found. She also then began to debate if she should also purchase a change of clothing from the town if they could find one. She figured perhaps it was not the best to be traveling on foot in a gown she had to wear for the coming of age ceremony.

"I don't need anything..." he said quietly in reply, having started with nothing, what would he need from the castle? Of course, money was an option, but apart from that there was little if anything he felt he'd need...

Well aware she wasn't as used to being out and about as much as he, Tala kept glancing across at her as she walked, watching carefully for any chance that she might stumble... afterall, it can't have been too comfortable walking in such strange footwear...

They walked onwards for a while longer, the grunts and whines from the beast growing quieter with each step they took; Eventually they came to a stop as the cave started to open out; the high ceiling above was covered in stalactites, whilst large stalagmites rose up beneath them from the ground...

"I see light..." he directed Rosa's attention towards the mouth of another cave high above them, it would take some walking, but he guessed they would meet daylight on the other side... "Think you can make it?"

She would stop when he would, looking up to where he pointed. She bit her lower lip. She seen the wall leading to the opening and wasn't sure. She hadn't done climbing at all so had no idea if she could or not. She figured it was better to try than to say no when there would had been a chance she could. "Do you think...I could do it best without my high heels on? Or would that be unsafe and risk injury?" She asked curiously. If it would be best without heels she would remove them and put them back on once out but if it would risk her becoming injured more she would leave them on and do as she could. Slowly walking up to the stone she touched it softly and looked up at the opening again, thinking it over while listening for a reply. "I think I can make it but I am not sure. I have never tried climbing. Climbing things were not allowed in the castle or allowed by the royal family. It could have placed a bad shadow and appearance upon the ability of the royal bloodline to lead the people and to bring protection and help to the people as well." she said softly sighing, closing her eyes some.

"You must have been lucky. I bet you weren't born royal. You got to run around, climb things, play around all you wanted without having to worry about what anyone thought of you because you weren't expected to be one way or another." Rosa said softly a small smile on her lips as she looked to him. "I will try and climb it. I want to learn what you already know to get to know you better. Maybe if you wish I could help you not be alone. Or give you any home you would like so you have a roof over your head anywhere you would like." She offered kindly, it showing in her kind eyes that she wanted to help in anyway she could and the determination in her eyes to learn as well.

"I didn't learn through choice..." Tala muttered, recalling how he'd been forced from an early age to be quick and able to climb things and hide...The forest of Sune wasn't just an every day walk in the park... if you made an error or were detected by the inhabitants there...you were dead.

Realising Rosa was under the impression they were to physically climb the wall, he smirked and shook his head, tapping her once on the shoulder before directing her to a small walkway leading up to their desired destination...

"We'll have to find you some different clothes when we get out...you'll attract too much attention otherwise..." his voice was blunt yet again, but without harsh intent, "Come on."

He led the way to the base of the mound, following the natural walkway carved out of the stone from what must have been a water source many years ago...

She said giggling softly again. "Is there a town ahead you think? I was wondering if I should purchase different clothing and different shoes if we are to continue our travels but I am not sure to what would accommodate our travel properly." She said, thinking over what clothing choices would be best to buy including what shoes would be best to buy as well.

"That might be an idea..." Tala mused, leading the way quietly whilst listening as the Princess mulled over what kinds of clothing would be adequate for their journey - he figured it was useful for her to keep talking as it helped stop her from worrying herself over their current situation...

He didn't want to admit it, but her talking almost reminded him of Caran, how the Mage would ramble on about past times and things that were generally of little interest to the male...

After what seemed like an hour's climb, they finally reached the flat walkway of the cave entrance.

The air was much cleaner up here and a soft, yet welcoming breeze greeted them as they turned towards the light at the end of the tunnel... Neither had any idea what was beyond the mouth of this new cave, but at the same time, they probably didn't want to linger inside much longer either...

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Rosa followed, her mind on clothing and shoes to buy, debating. When they would come to the top to the opening she squinted some then looked to Tala then outside, the breeze feeling nice. She took a breath and nodded. "Okay....let's go." She said softly, trying to be brave. She reached out without thinking, taking Tala's hand for support. This was new and some what scary for her and thought maybe it could be scary for him but she wasn't sure. She would move stepping through slowly, closing her eyes then slowly opening them as they would come into the open air and bright sunlight above.

Opening their eyes they would see snow on the ground sparkling yet there was green grass in some spots up along with flowers. Trees dotted the huge land before them, green on them as well with leaves and flower buds ready to bloom. She stared her jaw dropping in shock at it's beauty. The wind blew softly against them. It was not cold but not hot either just the right balance between warm and cold. She couldn't believe her eyes, or how fresh the air was. "Oh wow....this is amazing...." she whispered breathlessly, astonished at the beauty before them. Slowly stepping further out she noticed some clouds about and smiled, her eyes showing how shocked and amazed she was. A couple rams were chewing on the grass, eating happily. They both paid no mind to Rosa or Tala, not caring if they were there or not as long as they did not try to take over their territory.

"Isn't this amazing Tala? What do you think? I have never seen anything like this except in story books." She said smiling, looking excited as she moved further out, reaching out as she went up to a tree touching its soft leaves, whispering a wow then touched the grass and a flower, it was almost like watching a child who just entered a new store or room and had to touch everything. There would be a path leading down the gentle incline leading to where a town would be with kind people, some of the people appearing non-human but others did in the town for when they would arrive they would see the mix races living with each other in peace above the ground.

Tala was amazed, having not seen anything quite like it in his life... Sure, there was little snow in Sune as it was so enclosed...but he'd never seen anything so...green.

He followed her out, lifting a hand to pull his hood forward to shield his eyes from the bright sunlight, before watching as she wandered about the new land, experiencing everything she could see...

"Wow..." he muttered quietly, hiding his amazement yet keeping close as he followed her down towards the town...

Grateful for the cover of his hood, he couldn't help but glance across these strange new beings as they passed them on the trail...many of which regarded the pair as curiously as he... It would be about now that Caran wound nudge him and tell him not to stare...but he didn't dwell on the thought and proceeded to allow Rosa to lead the way towards the town...

Click to show.Rosa lead the way pausing when she noticed a person walked by them, walking on the fronts of their feet with their heels up sort of made her think of a dog or cats hine feet. She watched as the person walked on two feet, hands like humans but their skin a gray color with some scales of green and blue on their body. The woman smiled softly nodding, her yellow eyes slit as Rosa nodded back to her, feeling confused. She looked at Tala as she walked slowly, noticing the woman's snake looking tail. "What do you think that was? What do you think they are? I wonder if they are friend of foe?" Rosa whispered softly to Tala so not to insult anyone as a small group of odd looking people and normal human looking people walked, laughing and having a good time, having what looked like messenger bags over their shoulders, the straps going across their chest.

"Huh? That...?" Tala watched as the woman passed, then glanced away, scanning the town as he heard laughter, "I don't know..." He shook his head, having not experienced anything like these people before... Caran had told him stories, but they'd kept well out of the way as the Mage believed he was still a little unstable to be in the public presence for too long...

His eyes settled upon a row of shops, their signs although simple, depicting roughly what they had to sell...

"I just hope they accept our currency..." he nudged her forward towards a store he felt dealt in clothing and other attire... "I think we're starting to draw attention..." Although people seemed to be enjoying themselves, there were a certain few that watched them closely, almost untrusting...

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Rosa walked, entering and nodded going inside with him, looking back over her shoulder and entered. It indeed was a clothing shop. Inside was dresses with shirts, tunics, cloaks, pants, shorts, skirts, it even had a varity of shoes. The owner looked to them smiling softly then grinned small kitty fangs in her mouth. "Oh goody! Goody! Customers!" she shouted jumping up and down laughing spinning, showing she had a cat tail and when her hair moved it showed her cat ears. She giggled excited. Rosa had paused once in looking to the owner blinking shocked and confused, trying not to stare but couldn't take her eyes off the woman with cat ears and a cat tail wearing a pink tank top like tunic and light sky blue pants and red short heels.

"What would you like today?!" the cat woman asked excited smiling widely. Rosa blinked not answering her right away then realized she should answer.

"Um...we're um....looking for new clothing for me." Rosa said softly feeling unsure about this. The cat woman blinked leaping over from behind the desk with ease, walking over to them both, circling them looking them over then stopped in front of the pair.

"So you two married? You two seem like a strange pair. And why are you looking so shocked? You never see a half cat demon before?" The cat woman asked purring some as she eyed Rosa over folding her arms. "And what are you to be? A noble? Nobles never come here. They say my clothing and items are in bad taste with them." She said sounding annoyed and a little jealous of the other stores and mad that people would say her wares were in bad taste.

"I think your clothing looks very nice. Um....we're uh...." Rosa tried to think if she should say they were married just to keep questions away from them both but didn't want to just suddenly put it onto Tala. She scratched the back of head as the cat woman stood waiting, her cheeks slightly puffed out a little her tail swaying back and forth in the air as she waited for an answer about their marriage status.

"She's my...sister." Tala replied bluntly, not wanting to rile the cat-lady... Demons were rife in Sune, but none like her...and he didn't want to take any chances... "We were travelling to a fancy-dress party in the lowlands and our driver lost control..." he averted his eyes, nudging Rosa so she knew that she should react to the loss of their driver...
