Accepted by Fig GENERAL Name: Siobahn Sòng Gender: Female Birthday: June 13th House: Hufflepuff Blood Status: Muggle-born Wand: Chestnut wood, Unicorn mane core, 13 inches, springy Wand Hand: Left PERSONALITY General: Siobhan is very inquisitive and learns rather fast when it comes to certain subjects, others..are rather difficult for her. When something is hard for her to do, she will work at it until she masters it. She's a very determined person and won't give up even if the task appears daunting at first. Save for the flying, she's too afraid to even attempt it at first.
She's rather reserved, and bashful around new people, but is very friendly once she gets to know people and opens up to them in time. Once she makes a friend, she aims to keep them for life. If a person tries to brush her off she doesn't really get it and will continue to hang around them. Normally this will either, annoy the person so much that they'll get mean and yell at her or they will begrudgingly accept it and the friendship will continue to grow.
She's very tenacious and won't give up accomplishing something she's set as a goal. She will do everything in her power to achieve it, even if it appears daunting or if people try to keep her from getting it.
Habits: When worried she'll tug on her hair or clothing. She has a bird like laugh when she's nervous. Hobbies: Singing, Reading, collecting books and mangas, writing stories, playing musical instruments Likes: her Lolita style boots and accessories, Her widely assorted stuffed animals and toys from around the world, Pocky, Musicals, American Cartoons, Mangas, Chronicles of Narnia, Singing Dislikes: Uniforms, Gym Clothes, Having to sweat and get dirty, Boys, Frogs, insects, snakes and other creepy crawly things, Flying..on planes and on brooms, singing solos. Grandfather: Ivan Burls, 69, retired English professor in London, visits every now and then.
Relationship with Family: Like most Chinese families, she doesn't really have much of a relationship with her parents. She respects and honors them daily, but doesn't really get any time to get close to her parents. Nor does she have time to spend with her siblings, as they are always studying and focusing on scholarly endeavors. She is much different than the rest of her family; as they are all reserved and private people. She's much more open and animated. Her Grandmother and her are super close and often try to get the rest of the family to open up more. They have yet to get them to actually express any emotions other than frustration and annoyance. Siobahn gets on rather famously with her grandfather as well. He is a rather gruff and moody man, but he is always smiling after he's seen and spent time with her. She always finds a way to brighten his day, even though he doesn't always tell her. HISTORY General History: Siobhan Song, was born to Rosemary Burls and Chen Song on June 13th. Her conception came as a major surprise and shock to her parents, as they hadn't planned on having a third child. Because of this, Cheng asked his mother to come and give his wife a hand at adjusting to the needs of the new baby. Siobhan quickly learned at a young age that if she wanted love and affection she'd not be getting it from her intellectually minded parents and brainwashed siblings. Thankfully, Xiu was able to see to most of the child's needs and helping her develop as normally as possible. Siobhan, still rather hopes and wishes that one day her parents might snap out of their selfish ways and give her some much needed attention. Once Siobhan grew old enough for school, her parents began discussing what boarding schools to send her off to. They figured that she had been coddled enough and needed to start growing up and taking more responsibilities. Her grandmother, who was more of a mother objected rather loudly. But to no avail. On Siobhan's 7th birthday she was sent off to an All Girl's Private School in Oxford, London. Siobhan wasn't used to being constantly surrounded by chattering stuck up girls, and it took her quite awhile to get used to the school. For the first two weeks, she cried herself to sleep until one of her roommates complained to the Floor Monitor. Trudy Finnigan was more than happy to move the quiet, and reserved girl into her own quarters and treated her more like a little sister than a student that she was supposed to punish and keep in line. Siobhan was overjoyed by the close relationship and made sure not to do anything that might jeopardize it. For the next four years, the two girls got along splendidly. Though many of the teachers and staff members seemed to think that the friendship only stunted Siobhan from creating other relationships with the other students. It wasn't until her friend was sent away that her magical talents began to emerge. Mostly books hovering around the room, or a girl's dress flying up at a most inconvenient moment. It rather frightened everyone at her boarding school and soon Siobahn found herself sent home to her parents. Her parents were rather appalled at what she was doing and tried to force her to stop using her powers through any means they could find. Her grandmother knew she couldn't allow her grand-daughter's magic to be stifled. She had always wished magic existed and when she discovered her grand-daughter could actually do magic, she wasn't about to let it get ignored. It was a relief to her grandmother and Siobahn when a letter arrived, along with a spokes person, at the end of the summer welcoming her to Hogwarts. Her parents wanted nothing to do with it and said as much; though they had started to loosen their strict discipline on her if her magic flared up. Her grandmother took it upon herself to help Siobahn gather her items from the magic shops and pack for school. She took it upon herself to use most of her savings to pay for a few surprises for her grand-daughter as well. With the rest of her money, Xiu moved to a small flat of her own in England, closer to the school so Siobahn could come stay with her when she was out of school on breaks. MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: With her mind and head reeling from the noise of the other students, Siobhan followed the line of students as they were all slowly sorted. It was nearly too much for her to handle. She was getting shoved from behind, and the shouts were beginning to give her a horrible headache. She couldn't wait until it was all over and she could find somewhere quiet to meditate.
Finally..it was her turn and she slowly made her way up the steep steps to the dais where the headmaster of Gryffindor was waiting with the sorting hat. She gulped and lowered her eyes as she turned around, slightly trembling at the thought of standing up where everyone in the room could see her. Terror raced through her at the thought of so many eyes fixated on her. Couldn't this be done with already?
"Well now, what do we have here? A shy little thing aren't you? The Slytherin House would eat you alive. And the Gryffindors would be way too intense. You're a smart one, but not really Ravenclaw material either. Well that just leaves, HUFFLEPUFF!" The hat crowed loudly.
Siobahn shivered and made her way down the steps glad that the whole thing was over. She made her way over to the Yellow and black table and took an empty seat near the end. She tried to tune out the boisterous cries of her new housemates and laid her hands over her ears. Why did everyone have to be soo loud?
Boggart: Siobahn uneasily made her way up to where the swirling creature was waiting and shuddered as she came to a stop. She knew exactly what her greatest fear was, and really wished she didn't have to do this. She had often had nightmares about it, and it still plagued her night after night.
The creature transformed into a slumped over figure, with white whispy hairs sticking out of a very tight bun on the back of it's head. Siobahn let loose a whimper, a shudder running through her body. Please no, it couldn't be! The body suddenly fell onto it's side, revealing the bloodied and bruised face of her grandmother Xiu.
"Ridikulous." She murmured shakily, trying to think of her happy thought really hard. The spell didn't work making her tremble even more. "RIDIKULOUS!" She projected much louder, waving her wand at the form.
The body disappeared into thin air, leaving nothing but a bright pink towel behind. Without a word, Siobahn turned and left the front not caring to explain why the body had turned into a towel. Gods..that had been so cruel.
Mirror of Erised: Siobahn cautiously made her way down the hallway, glancing around fervently at any sound she heard. She really didn't want to be caught out after hours, and she really didn't know what had possessed her to not wait for the next day. She had heard of a mirror that was showing people what they most desired and had decided that she too wanted to get a look. She really didn't know what her greatest desire was.
She began to think that she'd never find the ronom of requirement. Disappointed she turned back to plod back to the Hufflepuff Common Room, only to suddenly notice a gleaming handle and a door on an empty wall that hadn't been there before. Brows narrowing, she walked over, and placed her hand on the handle and slowly turned it. The door slid open quietly and she slid inside the room.
It was rather strange, there wasn't anything else in the room other than a tall object covered in an old tarp. She walked over to it and slipped underneath the tarp raising her candle closer to her face to get a look at what was beneath it. She nearly dropped the candle when she saw much to her surprise the faces of her family in the mirrored surface and her standing right in the middle of them.
"Oh!" She exclaimed and put her free hand to her mouth. "Of course," She murmured and glanced longingly at the happy family pictured in the mirror. "The one thing I don't have is what I want." A tear fell from the corner of her eye. "Why is it that I can't do anything right for them?" EXTRA CREDIT
Patronus: A Rabbit; A rabbit is known for being somewhat shy. Similarly, you tend to be quiet around others, especially new people. However, you are very bright and alert. You are good at reading people and know who to trust. You are also nurturing and kind. You may have trouble conjuring your patronus because your mind tends to race in the heat of a battle.
Greatest Treasure: Her Familiar Jarvey Pabu, he was given to her by her grandmother and she treasures him dearly.
Manner of Dress: Siobahn is very particular about the clothes she wears. She keeps her clothes completely wrinkle free and pressed so she always looks well kept. When not wearing the school uniform, she wears the llolita dresses her parents have gotten her. She does not really care for jeans or pants so you won't ever see her wearing them. She will however wear leggings or stockings when it gets cold outside.
Favorite Class: History of Magic, she loves reading about all the witches and wizards and learning how they lived.
Worst Class: Care of Magical Creatures, she frightens easily and half of the creatures they study are scary.

Accepted by Fig GENERAL Name: Ann Beckett Gender: Female Birthday: January 3rd House: Ravenclaw Blood Status: Mixedblood Wand: Apple wood, Unicorn Tail Core, 10 3/4 inches, Supple, Smooth with vine-like etching on handle Wand Hand: Right PERSONALITY General: Ann is a rather ordinary girl, with few special things about her other than the fact that she is a witch. She doesn't play sports, she can't do anything that muggles would consider a talent such as drawing or anything fancy, and she's not incredibly outgoing or social by any means. She largely keeps to herself, preferring to sit in the common room or somewhere else in the castle by herself than go somewhere with a large group of people. It's not that she feels intimidated by crowds (okay, maybe that is part of it), it's more about the fact that she doesn't have a lot of close friends. Any large groups she would do things with would be mostly loose acquaintances or even strangers, and she knows she would feel very left out. That's not enjoyable for anyone, so she stifles the problem at the start.
But that's not to say that Ann doesn't enjoy being around people. She's very close to the few close friends she has, and likes it that way. Maintaining a large number of friends is hard work; she would much rather it be nearly effortless and easy. Having friends shouldn't be work! She's also very loyal to the friends she has, and will often speak up to defend them (albeit in a rather meek voice). Ann isn't the most headstrong or persuasive person, so she often needs to rely on others for help in a department that requires force or firmness. She goes to them with her problems, for advice, and even just for comfort if a test didn't go as expected. Connections are important in a boarding school away from home, after all.
Ann has a bit of a reputation as being very good in Charms class, and while that may be true, she is not an overly remarkable student. She gets along well enough, she passes her classes, but she is by no means an overachiever. She is rarely at the top of her classes, and when she is it is a shaky pedestal. She tries her best, and has to devote quite a bit of time to studying, so that is another reason that she isn't the most social of students. But she doesn't regret this. She has high hopes for when she graduates, and wants to become a nurse. She hopes to one day work at St. Mungo's, helping people in a less aggressive way than becoming an Auror or something of the sort. This shows that Ann is a very passive person by nature, and would prefer to live peacefully than be constantly on alert. Habits: Ann is a lip-biter. She doesn't even have to be nervous to do it; she'll be nibbling at the skin on her lower lip almost constantly, especially while she's concentrating. They can often bleed as a result of this, and are almost always swollen. While working, she tends to flick her quill back and forth between her thumb and forefinger, sometimes so quickly that it will slip and fly out of her hand. Whenever Ann has a lot on her plate at once, or she is in a rush, she will talk to herself in quiet whispers. Most of it is made of "Okay, that's done, now I need to..." and things of that sort. She almost doesn't realize she's doing it. Lastly, Ann can be a bit obsessive about her clothing. It needs to fit the right way, flatter her, and her outfits need to be color coordinated if not perfectly matching. She's fine with being a bit sloppy when she won't be around people, or if she isn't feeling well, but otherwise she puts great thought into her appearance (mostly to counteract the travesty done to her hair). Hobbies: Reading, people-watching, hanging out in the library, and trying every flavor of Bertie Bott's Beans. Likes: Hot drinks, curling up with a book and a blanket, birds, cold weather, sunshine, and Charms class. Dislikes: Large crowds, thunderstorms, History of Magic, physical exercise, petty girls, and some Slytherins (only because they've been mean to her!) FAMILY Mother: Theresa Beckett - 34 - Halfblood, formerly of Hufflepuff Father: Peter Beckett - 37 - Mixedblood (around 3/4), formerly of Gryffindor Siblings: Adam Beckett - 7 - Mixedblood, currently in a Muggle Elementary school Extended Family: Paternal grandparents (Lisa and Nathaniel Beckett - 52 and 58), maternal grandparents (Heather and Harold Lovell - 53 and 53), and maternal aunt and uncle (Tiffany and Robert Willows - 34 and 36). Relationship with Family: Ann clings tightly to her family, and loves them dearly. It has been very hard for her to be away from them, but unfortunately it is impossible to commute to Hogwarts on a daily basis. She regularly writes to any and all available family members, and receives at least one letter from someone every day. The walls surrounding her bed in the dormitory is covered with postcards and little notes, along with pictures and small mementos from her life at home. HISTORY General History: Ann's life has been relatively simple and uneventful. She grew up just outside of London, England, and has lived there all her life. She lived in an average four-person household, with a few pets. She's always been very close with her family, even if her little brother, Adam, could be annoying at times. She's always just gone about her business, and was a very good little girl most of the time. If she ever did something her parents didn't like, they would avoid mindless punishment in favor of explaining to her why what she did was wrong. She was treated as an adult whenever possible, talked to like an equal, and that instilled in her an ability to hold her own in social situations revolving around adults.
She's had the occasional old relative die, of course, but there have been no tragic deaths or losses, no devastating events in terms of money, jobs, or the like. They got along fairly well, with both parents working in some aspect of the Muggle world that paid fairly well. Her father is a lawyer at a popular firm in London, even if he may not be a "partner" in the business. Her mother is a nurse at a local hospital, but always made as much time as possible for being home with her husband and children.
When Ann began to show signs of possessing magical abilities, her parents quickly swooped in to explain everything to her. They didn't want her to think that she was strange or that she didn't fit in; quite the contrary! She was special, and was now part of an entirely new world full of other special people who could do things that she could! They encouraged her to practice her magic as much as possible (only at home, of course), and often tried to teach her things that would help lay the foundation for the education they knew she would receive at Hogwarts someday. When the letter finally came, the whole family made a trip to Diagon Alley to buy her supplies, and Ann couldn't have been more excited. This was the beginning of a new, exciting chapter in her life and she was so anxious to get started.
Overall, Ann's life has been...normal, at least for a child in a magical family.MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: As she looked up at the front of the Great Hall, Ann swallowed a small lump in her throat and squared her shoulders. She could do this. It was easy, really. All she had to do was walk up there, perch herself on that (admittedly tall) stool, and sit under the hat while it did all the work. Child after child went up to that little raised platform for their Sorting, and with each decision a table full of witches and wizards would erupt in applause. It would sort of startle her at first, but after five or six Sortings she was used to the cheers. The crowd of first years was getting smaller, she was being pushed further and further to the front as more and more names were called.
"Ann Beckett." It took her a moment to realize that, yes, her name had just been called. She stared blankly at the hat at the front of the room, before swallowing again and forcing her feet to move. She stumbled a little at first, causing her cheeks to flush dark with blood, before she managed to perch herself upon that stool. She closed her eyes as the hat was placed on her head, slightly unnerved by the fact that it slipped down over her eyes anyway. She could hear it mumbling to itself, talking about her kind heart and her quiet ways. She knew that it would most likely place her in either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, the former being the likelier choice. She wasn't sure if she had the brains to justify Ravenclaw, but she knew she wasn't cut out for Gryffindor or Slytherin. Soon enough, her suspicions were confirmed.
"Ravenclaw!"
As the light of the Great Hall flooded her eyes again, Ann stared out blankly in shock. Ravenclaw? She was a bit uncertain, wondering if she could live up to that house. However, those thoughts were pushed aside for now when she saw the happy faces of the Ravenclaw table applauding her. She carefully made her way down the steps and sat between two girls at the long table, who both smiled at her and welcomed her to Ravenclaw. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all?
Boggart: As she stood there gazing at the morphing shape, Ann felt anxiety seize her heart and freeze it cold. As it decided on a singular object, her own reflection was presented to her. Normally, this would have been fine, totally fine, but it wasn't. It wasn't anywhere near fine. At first glance the reflection was normal, mimicking her movements and apprehension, but the differences became clear as soon as you looked a bit closer. There was an air of smugness in her eyes in the glass, and the shadows of the room behind her flickered and moved in strange ways. It was only when the reflection really began to morph and change into something twisted, something dark and horrible and evil, that she panicked and let out a whimper. She shut her eyes tight, protesting against the demonic world on the other side of the glass, before raising her wand in her hand with a trembling grip.
"R-Riddikulus!" Her voice echoed in the hushed room, and she peeked through her lashes when she heard a strange, thunder-like, warped sound. The mirror was undulating like a funhouse mirror, stretching the image of her reflection in humorous ways. This successfully counteracted the darkness that had been there moments before, and as it continued to squirm, the Boggart shifted into the next phobia. Ann stepped away with a shaky laugh that was drowned out by the roar of laughter from her other classmates, her hands still shaking as her brain engraved the image she'd seen into the back of her eyes. She probably wouldn't sleep tonight.
Mirror of Erised: The strange mirror drew her in, her feet moving across the stone floor without her really wanting them to. At first she only saw herself in the glass, which made her nervous, and she glanced away for a moment to steel herself. After a few seconds, she dared a glance back into the glass, but avoided looking herself in the face. What she saw was completely different. She was dressed in a white nurse's uniform, with matching little hat and stethoscope around her neck. She lifted a hand to touch the instrument, but found nothing actually hanging around her neck. Frowning, she looked at the reflection again. The door behind her opened, and a few people filtered into the room - which she now realized was a hospital room. The people were her family. Her mother, her father, her little brother; they all stood around her and smiled at her from the glass. She glanced over her shoulder to look at her mother, but found no one there.
This really wasn't helping. With a frown, and with tears stinging her eyes, she looked away from the mirror. She left the room with a sniffle, upset about the fact that she'd just seen her family but had been unable to touch them. However, the sight of her obviously working in a hospital warmed her heart a bit, and a smile played at her lips as she wiped at her eyes. She'd get there someday.EXTRA CREDIT Patronus: Ann's patronus is a lion, which is heavily tied to her family. The creature is a central part of their family crest, and she has always related her father's personality to a lion. He is a strong, lively man with a broad smile, but one who is also not afraid to be firm when needed. It's also linked to his former house at Hogwarts, Gryffindor.
Greatest Treasure: Her mother gave her a locket when she first came to Hogwarts, a simple circular gold locket with a letter B etched into the surface. Inside is a tiny photo of her family, her included, and also a small photo of their home. She wears it almost all the time, even when asleep, and would be severely devastated if it were to be lost.
Manner of Dress: Ann tries her best to look good at all times, or at least whenever she will be seen by others. If she is not feeling well, or is having a particularly bad day, her fashion sense will suffer a bit, but you would never describe her as "sloppy" or "dirty." She tends to match or at least coordinate her outfits around a central color, usually Ravenclaw blue if she is hanging out around school. Trips to Hogsmeade warrant outfits that are more in tune with modern Muggle culture, but vary by the season.
Favorite Class: Ann's favorite class is Charms, by far. She excels in it, and genuinely likes the light, happy kind of magic that it delivers. Not to mention that many charms are very useful in everyday life, such as for cleaning, organizing, and other things that help with menial tasks.
Worst Class: She absolutely hates History of Magic. She does not have the mind for all those details that need to be memorized, and does not understand why the majority of the subjects studied are important. Sure, if they touch on something that she's moderately interested in, she'll pay more attention, but she generally earns grades that barely count as "passing" in that class.

Relationship with Family: Very close and tight knit HISTORY General History: The family of Jacques, is a very tight-knit family, and they will always be together and there when needed. Jacques grew up being an only child and his parents started to notice he was feeling lonely so they got him a pet cat, in hopes to cheer their son up. Jacques and his cousin Trevor are very close and are like each other's best friends, as they grew they were the separable duo, and unlike other kids in their family line, they had magic in their blood. Jacques had not realized it until recently. He does have some French blood in him, so he was born in France and can speak fluent French. MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: While sitting on the stool in the great hall along with his fellow students, he hummed to himself patiently as the hat worked its magic. After a few mintues went by the hat finally spoke up and assigned him to the house of Gryffindor. He pondered over the choice for a few seconds, that would make sense as his family was tight-knit and were always there for him, also because it was one of the loyal types. He nodded his head and jumped off the stool to return to his table.
Boggart: As he was walking about the campus he sensed that he was being followed, he paused in mid-step and took a few seconds to establish where it was coming from. After a few minutes had passed he whipped around to see a boggart in front of him, he watched the thing morph into his greatest fear and that was loosing his entire family to some evil that was lurking in the shadows of the school and where he was born. He shuffled uneasily about and slowly started to back away as the thing continued to morph into what he feared the greatest. He took a breath and stood his ground, the boggart would not scare him and he would do anything to protect his family from harm. He walked forward keeping eye contact with the boggart and he spoke up "you don't scare me!" he said with all the courage and bravery he could muster.
Mirror of Erised: He walked into the room the mirror of Erised was located in and walked closer, as he got closer he saw his reflection and he saw himself becoming a great wizard, living a good life and his family proud of him. He smiled at the image, it was pleasant image to see and he was eager to see if it would become a reality, he nodded his head mentally telling himself that he would do anything to get to that goal and nothing will stop him from achieving it.

Wand Hand: Left PERSONALITY General: Aoide is a very happy, but quiet child. She loves to sing but will never do it in front of others. She sings to the radio when she is (or thinks she is) alone. When she does make friends, she gives freely of her time, energy, and anything else she can spare to help them. She doesn't even really mind if she gets anything back in return. Her father tends to think she's a pushover and wants her to be stronger in asking for things for herself. She tries, but is too shy and nervous to go through with it usually. Speaking of the nervous side to this young witch, Aoide enjoys having friends but is very rarely the one initiating friendships. She doesn't like new situations or places, really, though she does push herself when she has to. When someone makes a mistake or lies to her, she does get upset, but it's easy to get her to forgive. This is another reason her father calls her a pushover, and Aoide gets flustered when he pushes her to be stronger. When she does get mad or upset, she doesn't stay that way for very long. When she's with her friends, she usually defers to doing whatever everyone else wants to do. She tends to go with the flow, wanting to please everyone. Aoide can be relied upon to do what she says she will. If something gets in her way, she usually gets flustered easily, but will do her best to find a way around it. Also, she can be very insecure. She's never sure she's doing something right, and will almost always blame herself if something goes wrong. Habits: Fidgeting when she has to stand or sit still, chewing her writing utensil, biting her lip, overthinking things, getting easily flustered. Hobbies: She would count it, but singing. Anything to do with animals. Reading. Likes: Animals, books, her older sister, the few friends she has, Dislikes: Bullies, having to do anything in front of the class, cruelty. FAMILY Mother: Circe Tande She is kind and loving, giving her children everything she possibly can. She works as a nurse in a Muggle elementary school. Father: Astrix Tande A little harsher than his wife, Astrix is most definitely the disciplinarian of the pair. This, however, doesn't mean he isn't a loving and gentle father. He works as a Mediwizard at St. Mungo's. Siblings: Older Sister || Elpis Tande Elips, or Elli as she prefers, is a magizoologist. She's always loved all kinds of animals and she enjoys working with them now. Extended Family: Her grandparents on both sides passed away when she was very young, but she has a few fond memories of them. Both of her parents were only children. Relationship with Family: She loves her family and would do anything for them. She looks up to her older sister in everything and wants to be just like her when she grows up. HISTORY General History: She grew up watching her father and sister go off to the magical places of work and school while she stayed home with her mother. As she grew older, she wished and wished for the letter to come, saying she was accepted to Hogwarts. She wanted badly to see the world her father and sister lived in. Growing up in a half magic household, Aoide was considered a child with a wild imagination when she was at the Muggle schools. Ever since she could remember, she'd been enamored of the books her sister bought about the magical creatures that resided in the world. She would often be found in her sister's room poring over the many books Elpis had. Elpis never cared, she was happy her baby sister shared the same interests she did. She would make little quizzes for her sister sometimes, and rewarded her with stickers and candies when she got everything right. The day Aoide got her acceptance letter was the best day of her life. Her entire family celebrated with her the same way they had when Elpis had gotten her letter. Initially, Aoide was afraid of going, nervous that she wouldn't fit in, but Elpis always knew just what to say to ease her sister's nervous fears. MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: Aoide's fingers nervously toyed with the hem of the pretty pink sweater her mother had bought for her in Diagon Alley. There were so many kids around her and she was so nervous that their loud voices would drown out the names being called. But the professor came to the front and tapped her wand on the levitating podium for attention. Aoide listened carefully as instructions were given on how they would be sorted into their houses, and still the young witch was nervous. Her fingers played over and over the hem of her sweater as name after name was called. Even though she could see the students moving to their new tables, it seemed the group around her never changed in size. Finally her name was called and she made her way up to the stool, hopping up on it carefully. Her breath came quick and shallow, her nerves beginning to get the best of her. Despire having already heard the booming voice of the Sorting Hat, she jumped and squeaked when she heard it in her ear. "Nervous are you, child?" it said with a chuckle. Aoide could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She knew her sister was hoping she would follow her footsteps and be sorted into Gryffindor like she was. "A family tradition, is it?" the hat asked and Aoide nodded. "I see...well, I see no reason to disappoint! GRYFFINDOR!" Aoide's smile was wide as she made her way to her new table, blushing hard as she was congratulated and welcomed to the house.
Boggart: A huge crowd of people expecting her to sing or speak.
Mirror of Erised: If she stood before the Mirror, she would most likely see herself working with her sister as a magizoologist. EXTRA CREDIT Greatest Treasure: Her first memory of visiting her sister at work. Elpis took her all around the zoo and told her about all the animals there.
Manner of Dress: She's always dressed very neatly. She doesn't like to look out of order.

Approved by Charm GENERAL Name: Taylor Alden Gender: Male Birthday: October 20th House: Ravenclaw Blood Status: Half-Blood Wand: 12”Cherry with Dragon Heartstring – Unyielding Wand Hand: Right PERSONALITY General: Taylor is rather mature for his age—keeping quiet when he’s supposed to, acting selflessly, being respectful to adults, carefully calculating situations—but just like any other kids, he has his vices. He’s a horror enthusiast, finding a pleasure in both watching and reading something scary as well as scaring people. One of the reasons he is able to keep up his mature outer appearance despite being this way is that he rarely leaves a trace of his hobbies around for other people to dissect. Other than that, due to the fact he’s a well versed practitioner of all things scary, it’s rather hard to alarm Taylor.
Minus the occasional geek out because of something gory, Taylor is rather level headed. His thought process is rather clear for someone his age and he doesn’t allow himself to be too caught up in petty things. Though he enjoys a good competition just as much as the next kid, Taylor rarely allows things to get personally vicious. Basically, through and through, Taylor’s actions are both composed and controlled. Habits: Taylor has a habit of pushing his hands into his pockets when he’s talking to someone. Most of the time, it shows he’s rather relaxed than anything else though he has been known to place his hands in his pockets when he’s a bit anxious. Most of his pants’ pockets are so worn that he has holes along the lining. Hobbies: Taylor has been known to appreciate ornate things. He was more than enthusiastic when he bought his antique dragon-adorned wand from Borgin and Burkes (the only reason it was stocked there was because its previous owner had come across some elaborately unfortunate and painful death). Taylor finds himself in that shady shop far more than he’d like to admit—he has an unnerving curiosity towards Dark Magic. Likes: Besides enjoying things on the “darker” side, Taylor also enjoys—as cliché as it sounds—learning new things. He tends to have a natural knack towards learning new spells and most specifically, creating potions. Despite his mother not allowing him to touch anything in Borgin and Burkes, all the poisons in the shop fueled Taylor’s curiosity towards potion making from a young age. He’s been making potions and working with wizardly ingredients much longer than many of the upperclassmen. Along with this, his aunt on his mother’s side taught him a lot of her knowledge when she babysat him. Dislikes: Taylor doesn’t particularly enjoy when people call him girly. A lot of people think that his eyes are pretty and find no issue with telling him so—normally, something shallow like this wouldn’t peeve him, but after hearing it for years, it wears down on the nerves. Besides this, Taylor dislikes when things are messy (which is a bit unfortunate, considering that he lives in the boy’s dormitory). FAMILY Mother: Freija Alden – Mixed Blood Wizard Freija Alden works in the Ministry of Magic dealing with Muggle Relations. Since a young age, she’s been fascinated with the workings of the Muggle World and decided to raise her children in both when the time came. All things considering, she is a rather well adjusted member of both communities. She met her husband in London while on the way to work at the Ministry—they happened to have the unfortunate encounter of bumping into each other and having Freija’s new dress ruined by Markus’s coffee. Of course, a quick spell could’ve saved it, but Markus was a true gentleman and insisted that he took care of it. Father: Markus Alden – Muggle Markus Alden grew up in the United States and later moved to the eastern hemisphere when his father was relocated for a job. He currently works as chemistry professor in one of the private colleges in England. One day, on the way back to the college after getting his mid-morning coffee, Markus bumped into Freija Alden and spilled coffee on her dress—he managed to string her along back to his office and use the chemicals he had in the back room to remove the stain—“like dissolves like!” Siblings: Tessa Alden – Younger Sister (4 Years Old) Tobiah Alden – Younger Brother (1 Year Old)
Extended Family: Hecate Alden – Mixed Blood Wizard Hecate Alden doesn’t have set hours like Freija and Markus therefore; she was often times responsible for watching Taylor. Hecate was part of the reason Taylor has a strange fascination towards Potions, seeing as she was always brewing about during the day. Hecate would just sit Taylor in his high chair and prance around, throwing dead frogs and spiders into bubbling pots—it was probably one of the most amusing things Taylor had ever seen in his short years.
Without telling Freija, a soon as Taylor could speak, Hecate began teaching him about potion ingredients (at first just to pass time, then because he showed an interest in it). As soon as he stabled his hand, she let him start making his own potions in a miniature caldron. Relationship with Family: Taylor gets along very well with his parents, aunt, and his siblings. He’s much older than his siblings and is impartial about taking care of them—he doesn’t particularly enjoy it, but he’s protective of them none the less. HISTORY General History: Taylor was born in England to a wizard and a muggle. As dysfunctional as a wizard and muggle relationship could be, his parents adapted to each other rather well, all things considering. Partially, it’s because his mother works to study Muggles and his father is very open minded. Despite loving all things science related, he didn’t chastise Freija when she revealed that she was a wizard to him. Instead, they found themselves fascinated with each other’s world.
For the first few years of his parent’s marriage, they pushed back having children in order to focus on each other. They were married only shortly after they met (about a year) and it was around five years until they started to talk about children. Until Freija told Taylor’s father she was pregnant, children were far on the backburner for both of them.
After Taylor was born, his mother took a short break from work while his father continued working. It was around two years later when his mother decided to start working again, leaving Taylor in the care of her sister, Hecate. Hecate, a potion’s master, would teach Taylor all about potions as he grew up, feeding his somewhat unhealthy obsession with everything creepy.
While it was a question for his parents, Hecate had no doubt that Taylor had magic. “He’s just too bloody good at it to not,” She would say whenever it came up in conversation. She was right. His magic first showed itself while making a potion with his aunt. Hecate was minding her own business only to turn around and see Taylor merely waving his hand over a pot to cause it to boil. Taylor hadn’t realized he was doing anything special until Hecate squealed and started clapping.
A few years later, Taylor’s letter to Hogwarts arrived in the mail—but at that point, there wasn’t any question that he had magical ability. MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: How amusing… Taylor watched the other incoming first years, studying each one carefully. Most were in awe—Hogwarts was quite a magical place. There were floating candles all over the main hall. Perhaps he would have been in a similar state if Aunt Hecate hadn’t magicked her house to appear similarly Victorian-eske—she even had a few rather verbal paintings hanging on her walls!
One thing that fascinated him in all of this were the ghosts floating about… What sort of spell would I need to capture one of those? He mused, looking longingly at their translucent bodies. Surely, there had to be some sort of potion involving a ghost as either an ingredient or that would allow him to touch them. That’d have to be alarming, he thought with a soft grin. Bet those ghosts wouldn’t be expecting that!
”Alden, Taylor!” One of the professors called out, causing Taylor to break from his ghost-hunt and walk up to the stool. He sat down, a wee bit nervous, and awaited for the infamous Sorting Hat to sit on his crown.
”Ahhh… Quite a fascination with the dark arts here, yes?” The deep voice of the hat spoke, its voice low. “Slytherin would heighten that desire of yours—to corrupt… that fascination of yours…” Taylor shrugged, he was rather impartial where he was going to be placed. He didn’t need to busy himself with petty house disputes; all he wanted was to do what interested him. Stupid quarrels about blood, house, status… He could care less.
The Sorting Hat paused further, humming a bit. “Ambitious… yes, indeed, ambitious… However… RAVENCLAW!”
Boggart: His hands being cut off—it would destroy his future in just about everything he cares about.
Mirror of Erised: To have the ability to curse objects and create new potions, namely poisonous ones.

Approved by Charmaine GENERAL Name: Abel Sauveterre Gender: Male Birthday: July 17th House: Hufflepuff Blood Status: Mixedblood Wand: Maple wood (painted), Phoenix Feather core, 11 1/4 inches, Pliable, Smooth surface Wand Hand: Left PERSONALITY General: Abel is a very emotional boy, ranging from elated to enraged to depressed. He is emotionally affected by a lot of things, including television and books! Music, especially, has been known to outright change his mood. If he listens to slow instrumental music, he'll often become subdued and calm down. He takes full advantage of this and uses music to calm himself down or hype himself up if needed. Unfortunately, due to his heavy accent and mediocre grasp of the English language, it can be difficult for him to explain his emotions with words. He can also be very touchy and volatile due to being full of so many emotions, so one should be careful when bringing up delicate topics. Due to being so emotional, he gets attached to people easily and can come across as a bit clingy. He is also extremely loyal to these people he gets attached to, and would stand up for a friend without hesitation.
Abel is also very imaginative and creative, often prone to bouts of writing and drawing that will keep him busy for hours on end. He truly loves this, and much prefers creative writing to writing essays for class, but who doesn't? However, despite loving to write and draw, he is very reluctant to show others his work at any time. It can take quite a bit of coaxing and convincing to get him to show you even a sketch, so don't expect him to be flaunting his talent. This creativity shows in his classwork, as well. If there is more than one way to do things, even a remote possibility of a second option, Abel will find it and make it work. This may or may not always be the quickest option, but it's always worth a try!
An alternative side to Abel is his cautiousness and how shrewd he can be. He's constantly analyzing things, whether it's a class assignment or another person, or even a group as a whole! He'd very intuitive and resourceful, and certainly responsible. If you need someone to rely on, or someone to go to for advice, you'll probably be satisfied with going to Abel. While he may not always want to provide advice, it's usually good advice when he does choose to help someone. Unfortunately, if he's currently going through an emotional episode, his advice will likely be very rash and not very good. It's best to approach him when he's calm and collected.
Overall, Abel is a sweet kid just trying to get along in England when he has barely lived there for more than a year. He truly does want to make friends, and is a very nice boy once you get to know him. He can be a tiny bit shy, but only in terms of initially approaching someone. Once you get him talking, he's perfectly happy talking to a new person. Habits: Abel will often slip into French when he doesn't know how to say something, or when he's overly emotional (e.g. angry, upset, sobbing). He's also prone to being a bit judgmental, but that's just his analytical side showing through. Lastly, he has a very distracting habit of doodling on his parchment during class, especially when he should be taking notes. He usually does okay despite this, but can often miss important things if they're not announced clearly. Hobbies: Drawing, reading, writing, people-watching, learning new English words and sayings, and playing wizards' chess. Likes: Music, creative writing, birds, wandering the castle in his free time, and speaking his native tongue. Dislikes: Being wrong, all of his emotional outbursts, rude people, not knowing how to explain or say something, and long classes. FAMILY Mother: Elouise Sauveterre (Marcus) - Mixedblood - Formerly of Hufflepuff Father: Florian Sauveterre - Mixedblood - Formerly of Beauxbatons Siblings: None Extended Family: Cerise Sauveterre - Paternal Grandmother - Currently living in France Relationship with Family: Despite Abel's parents' busy schedules, Abel is still fairly close to them. He talks to them when he can, and they reply when they can. When he's home, they are very casual and calm around each other. They don't go out of their way to do things together, but they usually do hang out around the house when Elouise and Florian are not at work. They try to have dinner together every night when Abel is home for the summer, unless Florian cannot get away from work for the night. HISTORY General History: While Abel may not necessarily look it, he was born in Paris, France, and lived there for the majority of his life. It was a happy life, with his parents and a few pets in a nice apartment near the city center. Abel went to school at normal Muggle institutions, made plenty of little Muggle friends, and flourished in the city without much need for help. His father worked at a little clinic a few blocks away from their apartment, and his mother was a preschool teacher. This allowed him to spend quite a bit of time with her when he was very young, and he became quite attached to her.
Unfortunately, Abel's life would be uprooted shortly after he turned nine. His father was offered a high-paying job in England, in a large hospital in downtown London. It would have been incredibly stupid for him to refuse, and so the trio gathered up their belongings and moved across the English Channel to settle in a nice, spacious flat in downtown London. Elouise managed to find a job at a local elementary school, teaching first-graders, since there were no openings in preschools or kindergartens, and she couldn't afford to be a stay-at-home mother. Abel was thrust into an entire new society, plagued with a thick accent and little grasp of the English language (his mother had been teaching him for a few years, but his accent would never go away). He still has problems explaining himself or controlling his bursts of French words. He doesn't quite feel at home in this new place, and it was only made worse when he discovered his magical blood. His parents had never really forced magic on him, just in case he ended up being a Squib (what with their "impure" blood and all), so he knew next to nothing before receiving his Hogwarts acceptance letter. That's not to say that he is a terrible wizard so far; he seems to have a decent natural talent for magic, especially potion-making. He'd always loved to cook with his mother when she was home, so perhaps that had something to do with it?
So now, on top of being in a new country, Abel must adjust to this entirely new world and huge new school, and to fact that he is not just a normal boy. He seems to be doing mostly alright, but he's also fairly quiet, so it could very well be a facade.MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: Abel stared around with wide eyes at the large crowd of first years that surrounded him. A few were murmuring to themselves as student after student made their way up and was sorted into one of the four houses. He knew he would probably be near the end, but you never truly knew with magical family names. It had been quite a while, however, and he was still unsorted.
Eventually it became his turn, and he nearly jumped out of his skin with surprise. "Sauveterre, Abel!" The name echoed through the Great Hall, despite the low murmur of conversation, and Abel slowly made his way toward the front of the crowd. As he perched himself on the stool, he whispered a little calming mantra to himself in French. The hat covered all but the lowest bits of his field of vision, which only served to embarrass him more.
"Analytical and creative, good traits for a Ravenclaw, but...you seem to be more concerned with your emotional side." The hat drawled as it muddled over what House to put him in. "There's not a lot of desire to be better that everyone else, so Slytherin probably isn't for you," it murmured, as if it were scratching its chin while it thought aloud. "I think you'd do alright in Gryffindor, but it just doesn't seem like the best fit. So... HUFFLEPUFF!"
The loud voice was startling, and it was quite close to his ears, so Abel flinched a bit at the outburst. As the hat was removed from his head, he glanced at the table decked out in black and yellow, smiling a bit when he saw the other students applauding him. He made his way over and sat down, hoping that this would help him adjust better. "Sank you..." he murmured when a boy patted him on the back, welcoming him.
Boggart: As the cupboard in the classroom was pulled open, Abel silently cursed the professor for deciding to go in reverse-alphabetical order. He was only a few places from the beginning of the line, and he could feel his heart racing. Why the professor had chosen to teach first years about boggarts he would never be able to guess, but it didn't particularly matter either. All that did matter was that he was about to face his worst fear, and he'd be able to see it, not just have to think about it.
As the students in front of him dealt with their fears, only one little girl wiping a few tears away as she moved to the back of the line, Abel's turn had come. The boggart was still recovering from the last student's spell, so he had a few precious seconds to steel himself before it happened. As the creature morphed and shifted, he began to see its shape forming. It was like looking in a mirror, and he gasped when he saw himself standing there. But he looked very different. His dark skin was pallid and dry, eyes sunken in and rimmed with dark circles, and his hair looked like dried out straw. As he watched, the doppleganger took a staggering step forward before letting out a painful wheeze. Its eyes rolled back in its head, and it sunk to the ground with a sickening thud, joints bending in ways that they shouldn't be able to. Abel gasped and shut his eyes shut, turning his face away for a moment.
"Come on Abel, focus! Confront it!" The professor urged him, and Abel glanced at the man with green eyes full of uncertainty. He raised his wand shakily, still not looking at the cadaver on the ground. But he needed to; it was crucial to the spell. So he took a breath and opened his eyes, focusing on the dead body before him. "Riddikulus!" His voice was strong even if it was relatively quiet, and the boggart was clearly affected. It turned into a silly child's doll, raising up and walking about before tripping and falling onto its face. The class laughed as Abel made his way away from the boggart, his entire body shaking. He hoped he didn't have to deal with that again anytime soon.
Mirror of Erised: As he looked into the dirty glass, Abel's lips stretched into a wide smile. He saw himself taller, stronger, and smiling brightly in a room lined with shelves full of glass bottles and vials of every shape, size, and color. They contained things of all kinds, ranging from brightly-colored liquids to moving creatures. He stood before a large cauldron that bubbled and smoked as he added ingredients, and it was clear that he was the owner of an apothecary. He grinned widely, reaching as if to touch the cauldron. But when he found that it wasn't there, his smile faltered. He sighed, frowning with determination in his eyes. "I will get zere someday..." he murmured, turning away from the mirror. He paced out of the room with deliberate steps, off to prepare for his next potions assignment. He had to ace that class!EXTRA CREDIT Patronus: Abel's patronus is a male markhor, an animal that he has always liked ever since he saw one in a painting. They have always struck him as strong, majestic animals.
Greatest Treasure: He is very attached to a stuffed rooster he received while on a trip to the zoo when he was very little. The thing is rather ratty and old now, but he refuses to retire it or leave it at home. He washes it occasionally, and discreetly slips it into bed with him every night.
Manner of Dress: Abel has rather simple tastes, but always tries to look presentable. He doesn't put much effort into accessorizing or being "fashion-forward", but he does do his best not to look outdated or silly. A simple tie, shirt of some sort, and pants are an outfit of choice.
Favorite Class: Potions, by far. He loves creating the different concoctions and mixing strange ingredients to make totally different things. He especially likes the potions that you wouldn't expect would come from their respective ingredients.
Worst Class: Astronomy. While he does like looking at the stars, Abel just doesn't have the capacity to remember all of them or how they're related, or when they're visible, and so on. He prefers to just look at and admire them, not really think about them.

Accepted by Fig Notes: There's a discrepancy with where you said her mother graduated from. In the family section, it's Beaubaxtons and in the History it's Hogwarts.
Nationality: French/British Name: Jane Victoria Elder Gender: Female Age: 11 Height: 5'1 Weight: 98 Hairstyle and Color: short bob styled pure black hair, with green streaks on the right side. Eyes: piercing green Birthday: March 17th. Year: 1st House: Slytherine Blood Status: Pure Blood Wand: 10 inches, Oak, Phoenix Feather Core, stiff Wand Hand: Left More on Wand: Oak Known as Wizard Wood, this wood is perhaps the strongest. Draws off the element of fire, as well as lightning. Seeks a powerful companion, a guardian and liberator. Excellent for protection, defensive, prosperity, sacrifice and power house spells. Phoenix Feather Core The phoenix is a sacred creature born of earth and fire. Perhaps one of the most ancient of fire birds, the phoenix is also one of the most magical creatures, also thought to possess healing powers through its tears. The tail feather of a phoenix would be a wise choice for one who wishes to cast protection spells or lasting charms. It would make an excellent companion to woods that draw from the element of fire and water. PERSONALITY General: Capricious- Jane is quite the devious sort, she likes to make trouble and cause problems for others. It amuses her to see how people respond to her evil pranks. She can also be over aggressive towards gryffindors, as she sees them as her natural enemies. Abrasive- Jane has a very caustic and callous personality. Often she will say hurtful things to other kids and not even notice it. Because she grew up in a very acerbic environment that's what she's used to. Like telling her friends they're idiots or stupid. Impatient- She doesn't care to wait on others and if told to wait she gets impatient very easily. Having been spoiled for years, she is used to getting everything right away. Waiting is not a trait that is easy for her, but if need be she will do so. Though she will more than likely complain the entire time. Protective: Jane is super protective of her mates, though she really doesn't have any. She can sometimes be jealous of her friends so it can be hard to get along with her. However if you count her as a friend you are super lucky. Any sort of gossip or slander about her or her friends isn't acceptable. If she finds out who's started the rumor she'll go to extreme measures in dealing and doling out punishment. Manipulative- When she wants something really badly and she can't get it by bullying she'll use whatever means she can to get it. She can actually be very sweet and complimentary when she wants to be. The "sweet" Jane doesn't last longer than it takes her to get what she wants. It's rather strange to see her abrupt change in personality. More: Jane tends to lash out at other people especially if she feels they're attacking her. She's not really as confident as she may appear. Nor does she feel wanted or loved. Her parents are very oblivious and narcissistic individuals so she's had to rely on herself for everything she needs. She would like to believe that she doesn't need their approval or support but it's what she craves the most. When she sees other kids receiving letters and packages from Home she gets super jealous. She really hates the fact that she's jealous of the others and goes out of her way to humiliated and belittle them. If anyone stands up to her, Jane would be surprised. She's not used to being challenged but she would welcome it. She'd do everything in her power to come out on top, even cheating if it came to it. Habits: blowing wisps of her hair out of her face, popping her knuckles and crossing her arms when she's talking. Tapping her foot. Hobbies: Reading horror and thriller stories, drawing creepy pictures, playing with her snake, dancing, playing flute, talking to herself in French, and pretending she can understand her snake. Likes: Snakes, Wearing her snake around her neck so she could use it to creep other students out, Horror movies and Monsters, Dark colors, and of course green and silver, Terrorizing Gryffindor students and making their lives miserable. Dislikes: Rainbows, and other girly stuff..it annoys her greatly, people who break promises, Gryffindor kids, kids who do better than her, overly warm weather, sun (She likes her pale complexion). FAMILY Mother: Jeanette (LÉVESQUE) Elder, 34, Pure Blood, Beauxbaton Father: Egan Elder, 37, Pure Blood, Slytherin Siblings: Elias Elder, 16, Pure Blood, Slytherin Extended Family: Grandparents on both sides died long ago, those that were in Hogwarts were all in Slytherin. Aunt: Rennemae Levesque, 25, Pure Blood, Beauxbaton Relationship with Family: She really doesn't have any sort of relationship with her parents, though she often wishes she did. They tend to spend all their time partying and going to social functions and leave her home alone a lot. Or under the supervision of their employees. Much to her annoyance they shower her older brother with a lot of attention and favor. The only time she's spent with them was on her 11th birthday and that was only to celebrate her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. They took her out to a fancy lunch at a super exclusive restaurant and bought her an entire new wardrobe as well. In the middle of the shopping expedition they ran into some friends of theirs who reminded them there was a party that night that they had rsvped to go to. Much to Jane's annoyance, they shoved her off on her older brother and went about getting what they'd need for the party. This was the opportunity her brother was looking for, and he whisked her off to take her to Diagon Alley to get her a special present. When Jane entered the familiar shop she was super excited and forgot all about being pushed away by her parents and looked every animal over at least five times. She finally settled on a gorgeous snake which immediately wrapped it's self around her neck and settled in for the trip home. She's starting to slowly get over her jealousy of him and actually attempt to begin a real relationship with him. Which is a good thing, as he is more than likely to be in charge of her once he becomes an adult. HISTORY General History: Having been betrothed from a very young age, Egan and Jeanette were married a year after Jeanette graduated from Beauxbaton. For the next several years the pair of them worked at becoming one of the most elite couples in British Society. Finally after three years of being socialites and building up enough contacts they decided to start a family. It took another year before they were blessed with their first child, a son who they named Elias after Egan's great grandfather. While they were greatly pleased by his fair looks and his brilliant green-blue eyes, they really weren't the doting sort. They hired a nurse, nanny, and tutors to teach and raise their son while they once more went back into the limelight of society parties. Jeanette and Egan had never planned on having any other children and were rather stunned when Jeanette became pregnant again when Elias was three and a half years old. Jane came into the world 7 months later, a premature baby weighing a mere 6 pounds. Despite Jeanette and Egan's non-nurturing nature, they were fearful that their daughter might not live long. They went to all sorts of experts, wizard and witch doctors as well as muggle doctors to ensure she survived. It was a long and arduous struggle to get her healthy and caught up to where she should be. By the time she was two, she was perfectly healthy, albeit somewhat frail. This caused her parents quite a bit of worry, and nervous about touching her as they didn't want to hurt her. She tended to bruise quite easily. To ensure that she get the best that she needed, her parents hired experienced nurses and a doctor to be at the house whenever she might need one. Despite their emotional withdrawal, they went out of their way to spoil her in whatever way they could. Anything she asked for she got. She never really had to wait or want for a thing. This was probably not the best thing to do in the long run, as she already felt slighted by not getting any physical touch from them or any loving words. She pretty much took what they gave and demanded more. Bye the time Jane was 5, she pretty much dictated a lot in the Household and anyone that didn't do as she demanded didn't stay long in the Elder's employment. It was around this time that Jane became immensely jealous of her brother Elias. He had just turned 11 and had received his letter to Hogwarts and had been learning a few spells from his father. In her eyes he was the favored child, as they were always giving him attention and physical love albeit limited. They were never really all that affectionate, though to Jane a simple touch on the shoulder was like a hug. Finally at age 6 she was given the opportunity to start learning and she dove into it with enthusiasm. She strove with every fiber of her being to do better than her brother so she could gain acceptance from her parents. They marveled at her skills and her appetite for learning and hired the best teachers for her. The only problem with this, is that she never really learned how to interact with other kids her age and has always looked down at those who don't have the same hunger for learning. She's excelled in many things; the arts, history, languages, math, and of course Literature. She's always had a thing for old literature and of course Poe's works. Her private professor when she was ten introduced her to the world of dark macabre works and her love has only grown for it. She's become a rather creepy child and loves to pull nasty pranks on the household servants and House elves. No one has ever complained, or even punished her for it, which has only made her bolder and much more mean. It was to a great relief of the staff, and much celebration of her family when she received her letter to Hogwarts on her 11th birthday. MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: Unlike the other first years milling around in the main hall waiting to get sorted and placed into a House, Jane already knew which House she'd get into. It was actually pretty easy to figure out since everyone in the Elder family line had been sorted into Slytherin for as long as anyone could remember. Well there had been that one odd great great great aunt that had been placed into Ravenclaw, but that had been ages ago. That had been rather disappointing, but somewhat forgiveable. If it had been another house she probably would have been disinherited and exiled from her family home. It had come in rather handy later on when she had helped her father with tripling the family coffers. Jane tried not to appear impatient but it was hard to keep her foot from tapping against the marble floor. Why did it have to take so long? Why didn't they have more than one hat? The sorting could have gotten done so much faster if there were ten hats instead of one. She crossed her arms over her chest and bit on her bottom lip and tried to still her foot. She huffed out a sigh as the hat called out another person's name and then placed them into Gryffindor. She rolled her eyes and glared over at the boisterous table that was clapping and screaming in excitement. Why did they have to be so loud? "Jane Victoria Elder!" Called out the tall teacher holding a long parchment in her hands and glanced around the milling students. "Right here," Jane murmured and slowly made her way up to the dais and took a seat on the stool. The sorting hat was lowered onto her head, and a faint musky smell wafted around her. She wrinkled her nose at the unappealing smell and felt a sneeze coming on. "Ugh," She murmured, covering her nose with her hand and sneezing quietly. "Do they ever wash you? I sure hope they do." She hid the disgusted look on her face behind her hand so other people couldn't see it. "My my, what a mind you have. You could do well in Ravenclaw, but no. You've got more of a ruthless nature. I think Slytherin would suit you more." the hat spoke in a old scratchy tone. "SLYTHERIN!" Then in a much more discreet tone he shot back at her, "Oh I shall make sure they wash me after I've touched your head." Boggart: Her greatest fear is to see her future self as a wizen old lady hooked up to machines. She has always feared that she'll die a horrible drawn out death and has no wish for that to become true. Mirror of Erised: Jane wants her parents to recognize her greatness and to beg her for forgiveness for how they've treated her. It would be nice to gain possession of the family mansion and have control over everything so she can be in complete charge. EXTRA CREDIT Patronus: A Raven. Greatest Treasure: Jane's greatest treasure would be her complete collection of Edgar Allen Poe's mysteries and books. It was a gift given to her on her 11th birthday by her Aunt Rennemae. Manner of Dress: Refined, preppy, elegant. She more than often dresses in black or dark hues of green or purple. She won't ever go near red or bright colors as she feels they look too garish. Favorite Class: While it may sound cliched, she adores Potions. Mostly because it's fascinating and very hands on. She is often entertained by how easily grossed out other girls get in the class. Worst Class: Muggle Studies, she really doesn't see the purpose for learning about these people. It's just a waste of her time.

Accepted by Berri <3 GENERAL Name: Ursula Aster Gender: Female Birthday: December 12th House: Gryffindor Blood Status: Pureblood Wand: 12” Cherry with Unicorn Hair Wand Hand: Right PERSONALITY General: Ursula generally is the type of person to string others along with her in her mischief. She can control the mood of a situation easily. While she's quiet during classes, she tends to be pretty boyish though generally not loud outside of the class.
When it comes to her father, Ursula rarely ever speaks a word and she doesn’t complain ever. However, she tends to be rather quippy and sharp when she’s close to someone. This is especially the case when Ursula wants something from someone—which is most of the time. When she’s truly close to another person though, she tends to be very clingy.
Ursula is also very compulsive. Most of the time, she doesn’t think about the consequences of what she’s doing—she just does it. Habits: Ursula tends to remain too still. She has the ability to remain almost motionless for hours at a time and she doesn’t even realize time is slipping by until something or someone makes her aware. Hobbies: Ursula likes to draw but she will rarely show any interest in art nor will she show any of her drawings to another person. Likes: She likes things that are warm. Often times, this means another person’s warmth. Personal space is something non-existent for her and she tends to get too personal with a lot of people. Dislikes: More than anything, Ursula dislikes being abandoned. She’s very much the center of her own world. FAMILY Mother: Ceres Aster Ceres was born into a pureblood family of poorer status. Marrying Alexandros very much elevated her status in society and above all else, Ceres holds that to be important. Alexandros has cheated on her countless times yet she allows it to go on in front of her just to save face. Perhaps she was once warm before Alexandros sucked all of it out of her, but now Ceres is just cold and bitter. She rarely looks at Ursula, thinking that all that came out of giving birth to her was stretch marks. Father: Alexandros Aster Alexandros Aster is the first born of the Aster family. He has a younger brother named Romulus. Unlike Romulus, Alexandros carried the weight of being the heir to his family. The Asters had a legacy of being excessively powerful and being the first born Aster meant that he must live up to every expectation thrown at him. For the most part, he did. However, as he grew older the classes at Durmstrang increased in difficulty, he needed some sort of release. He found a nice distraction in the female student body. While he attended Durmstrang, he went through countless women. Siblings: N/A After Ceres’ gave birth to Ursula, she refused to have any more. Extended Family: Cecilia Aster is Ursula’s cousin related because their fathers are brothers. Relationship with Family:Ursula very much looks up to her father. Her mother was rarely there for her and despite Alexandros first cheating, Ursula doesn’t hold any blame on him. Instead, she just resents her mother and thinks she’s a dead weight. Just as Ceres ignores Ursula, Ursula ignores Ceres. Her father, on the other hand, doesn’t mind his daughter but he lacks a lot of fatherly instincts. Often times, he doesn’t talk to Ursula as if she was a girl. He often times says crude things of women and how to treat them and doesn’t even bother to censor himself. If that wasn’t enough, he has a variety of women on call whenever he “feels” like it. He doesn’t bother hiding this from his wife or his daughter. HISTORY General History: Alexandros and Ceres Aster both went to Durmstrang. The Aster family originated from Greece, as with Ceres’ family. While they were both in the same grade and the same classes, Alexandros didn’t even realize Ceres existed until after he was getting betrothed to her upon his parent’s request. This happened a few years after he graduated from Durmstrang and set up a striving business. Alexandros and Ceres’ both didn’t care much for each other but were married regardless. A year after, Ursula was on the way.
When Ursula was a child, she could only understand bits and pieces of what was going on with her parents. She did notice that her father kept bringing new women over and her mother kept getting sterner and colder the longer he did so.
For the most part, because her mother was cold and her father found women to occupy his short amount of free time, Ursula was raised by a governess. Or rather, several. Either Ursula or Alexandros always did something to get the poor women to quit. Despite not interacting with her father much, Ursula attached herself to him over everyone else. She always imagined him glowing, absolutely radiant. Ursula could see how everyone else treated him and was frankly envious—she knew what it meant to be great from a young age.
Idolizing her father taught Ursula bad lessons. She really began to act up when she went to Durmstrang. Her first year was iffy—she tended to talk back to teachers, she had no motivation for classes despite being intelligent, and she was renown for manipulating others. More often than not, she would get boys to serve her detention for her. During the summer between her first and second year, her father sat her down for a chat. He told her that misbehaving was shameful—though he was most likely sick of receiving disciplinary notices for her and having to travel to Durmstrang for talks with the Headmaster. Taking her father’s words to heart, Ursula stopped misbehaving—but this didn’t mean she was behaving correctly either. She would have relationships with several boys at once and have them do all of her homework and fetch other things for her. It was all going hunky dory until one of her boyfriends was caught stealing from the Headmaster’s office and expelled—being the wonderful chap he was, he decided to bring Ursula down with him as well, getting her basically expelled when he revealed that she was cheating on tests and having other people do her homework for her.
Luckily for Ursula, her father managed to smother the flames of what Ursula did. While she was unable to go back to Durmstrang, what everyone else heard was that she was simply transferring to Hogwarts to be with her cousin. MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: ”I’ll see you on break,” Her father waved to her, taking a rather quick departure from Hogwarts. He looks like he’s in a hurry… Ursula didn’t make a frown, despite a heavy feeling in her chest. ”This way to the Headmaster’s Office,” a professor led her down the halls and to a statue. She whispered something incoherent and a staircase revealed itself. ”Up we go,” the woman indicated. She seems boring, Ursula noticed, nodding to the woman before walking up and knocking on the door.
The headmaster and her chit chatted for a bit before he told her that she was going to be sorted. ”I’m sure you’ve heard of the houses,” the Headmaster handed her an old hat to wear. Bored and weary, she placed the hat on her head.
Without any pause, the sorting hat announced, ”Gryffindor!”
Boggart: Being buried alive.
Mirror of Erised: As pathetic as she thinks it is, the mirror would show her father displaying approval of her.

Approved by Charmaine I'm not familiar with your wand wood. Could you please choose one of the main woods or a wood from Pottermore? Here's a link to a list if you need it. (elder is not allowed) X. ~CharmGENERAL Name: Gwyneth Richards Gender: Female Birthday: May 4 House: Ravenclaw Blood Status: Mixed Blood Wand: 8 ½ inch beech wood with a dragon heartstring core Wand Hand: Left PERSONALITY General: Gwen was brought up by two loving and affectionate parents, particularly her father, so she is very affectionate herself. She is always willing to give a hug to whoever is in need of one, or she feels needs one. She was taught that ‘a hug is the best gift’ and fully believes that. Her affectionate nature leads to her being a great listener and a shoulder for her friends to cry on. Ever since she learned to read, Gwen has been an inquisitive little girl, always wanting to learn more and more. First she devoured the age appropriate books that her parents would buy her. Then when she was put into a public school, she devoured nearly every word of her text books. She had been so happy to receive her first library cards to the public and school libraries. Every day after school, she would head over to the library and stay there until her father would come get her when he was done with his shifts. When she wasn’t reading, she was picking up on small projects that her mother was doing in there basement and eventually started to get shown how to tinker with electronics. Her first project she got to work on was dismantling and putting back together a computer processor. She had originally started a personal blog to post poems and stories but the blog eventually became a dairy of sorts for her tinkering projects. When she received her letter, her reaction wasn’t the same as typical magical children. She hated the idea of change and didn’t want to leave what had become her life. It took her parents taking her out for a day alone and introducing her around in Diagon Alley for her to be slightly comfortable with leaving. It wasn’t until she was on the train and started to think of what she could do once she was there that she accepted the new change in her life. She went through a similar situation when each of her brothers were born but got acclimated to them after a while. The same thing happened with the change in schools. Her resistance to change highlights another aspect of her personality: her stubbornness. She will not back down from any challenge or what she thinks is right. If you try to prove her wrong, she will have a well detailed statement supporting her position. The only thing that can change her mind is being proved wrong which makes her upset for a little while. When she gets upset, she’ll end up in the library with a book or newspaper and a cup of tea to try to get it out of her mind.
Habits: Gwen keeps a small notebook with her and records whatever ideas that come to her throughout the day. If she gets antsy during class, she’ll start tapping her quill against the paper or desk.
Hobbies: Gwen loves to read and will pick up whatever she can, be it a book from the library, the Daily Prophet, or the newest edition of the Quibbler if there’s nothing else. She likes to be kept informed of the world around her. She also loves to write; any of the teachers assign her an essay, they get a very thought out, well researched paper. Before she left home to come to Hogwarts, she even ran her own small blog site where she put up poems and short stories until the blog turned into her project dairy. She loves to tinker with things, a hobby she picked up from her mother.
Likes: Books, newspapers, any form of written word, headbands, robots, tinkering with said robots
Dislikes:Her brothers’ habit of finding worms and spiders, not knowing things, people who don’t like reading, not being able to get her robots to work properly at Hogwarts FAMILY Mother: Daytona (Toni) Richards – Mixed Blood - age 34 – Ravenclaw – IT specialist Father: Stefan Richards – Mixed Blood – age 38 – Gryffindor – Retired Police officer Stefan met Toni during her days at Hogwarts however he graduated before she did. He met her again when she enrolled in a muggle university to get her degree while he was training to become an officer. It was not long after Toni graduated with her Bachelor’s that they were married. She managed to get her Master’s while Gwen was growing up and received her PH.D before Wayne was born.
Siblings: Younger brother Peter aged 6, younger brother Wayne aged 3
Extended Family: Both sets of grandparents died before Gwen was old enough to know them too well. Neither Stefan nor Toni has any siblings so Gwen doesn’t have any aunts or uncles by blood, however Toni has a few co-workers that she looks to as honorary aunts and uncles.
Relationship with Family:Gwen is not only the first born in her family, but also the only girl which results in her being slightly spoiled by both Stefan and Toni. She gets along well with both of her brothers except for when they’re being gross or trying to aggravate her. HISTORY General History: Gwyneth was born in New York City to Daytona and Stefan Richards. Daytona had been working as an adviser for one of the smaller companies and decided that the slight break from her normal job of working for the large company she had helped found would be the perfect time to start trying for her and Stefan’s first child. Stefan had been working as a member of the NYPD and was thrilled with the idea. Nine months later, Gwen entered the world. They lived in the US until Gwen was about four years old. When she was around four years old, Daytona’s company merged with another company in England and they sent Daytona over there to make sure everything was running smoothly. During her time there, Daytona decided that she would prefer to raise Gwen and any other potential children they were to have there. She set it into place so that she could take over the new branch of the company and then came home to help move the family across the ocean. They were there for a year before Gwen was enrolled in school for the first time and her mother decided to take a sabbatical to give parenthood another try. Gwen was five years old when they brought her baby brother, Peter, home. She was upset that she was no longer her parents’ baby and slightly despised little Peter. When she heard him go through his first crying spell, she asked when her parents were going to take him back. It took a while, and the eventual realization that he wasn’t going anywhere, to accept her little brother in her life. At the same time she was dealing with the new addition to her family, she was also dealing with making friends at her school. It was hard at first, not only because of her hatred of change, but because she was an international transfer student. It was in school one day, when she was around 10, that she had her first experience with the magical world. She had been told of her parents’ lineage and heard stories but she didn’t believe they were true until she was doing her work at her desk. One of the boys that sat behind her had been teasing her, throwing paper balls at her hair, and she was getting to the point of not being able to deal with it anymore. There was a gasp heard and she turned her attention to notice her pencil flying back and nailing one of the incoming paper balls to the wall. Up until that time, Stefan and Daytona had been convinced she wouldn’t be able to go to Hogwarts like they had. Six months later, she received her letter to Hogwarts. MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: She was staring at the talking hat as it slowly sorted through the others that had been on the train ride with her into their houses. She knew a bit about magic, having been told stories by her parents about their time here. Until recently, she had to admit she didn’t believe them. Now that she was here and that hat was speaking, she was beginning to believe. Though the thought had crossed her mind that the hat was actually running because of gears, she noticed that the movements of the mouth were too smooth for that to be possible. While she was busy contemplating the mechanics of the talking hat, she heard her name be called out and walked up the same paths the other students before her had before sitting on the stool so the hat could be placed on her head. “Hmmmmm a taste of ambition I can see,” she heard the voice of the hat begin, “but that’s not what you truly desire. You desire knowledge above all else. There is only one place for you,” the hat trailed off before letting out a loud call of “RAVENCLAW!” She felt the hat being removed from her head and took one last curious look at it before walking over to her new housemates.
Boggart: Her mother screaming that she will never be a good engineer

Approved by Charmaine GENERAL Name: Terryn Avani Gender: Male Birthday: June 10th House: Ravenclaw Blood Status: Mixed blood Wand: 11 3/5 inch rowan wood wand with veela hair core. Wand Hand: Right PERSONALITY General: He's friendly, but also a wallflower kind of boy. He likes to watch others more than he likes to participate though he works fairly well with others. He makes friends fairly easily despite his shy demeanor. He tends to prefer doing things inside rather than outside, preferring the calm of his room to the windy chaos outside. If he has to be outside, he's picky about where he stands or sits because he dislike bugs and dirt. He's generally a very clean young boy, nervous around girls. Habits: Nervous stuttering, fidgeting. Forgetting things like writing untensils, etc. Hobbies: Reading, practicing charms, building models. Likes: Books, studying, learning new charms Dislikes:Potions, being outside for long periods of time, getting sunburnt or bitten by bugs. FAMILY Mother: Narelle (Madley) Avani || Pure blood witch but without the superiority complex of her parents Father: Parker Avani || Squib, comes from a mixed blood family Siblings: Twin sister, Tawny Avani (will be commissioned later, until then she will remain a small NPC) Extended Family: Angelus & Romilda Madley (Narelle's parents. Parker's parents are both deceased) Relationship with Family: Terryn loves his entire family, regardless of bloodline or how they feel about him. Since Tawny has lived with their grandparents, she's acquired their superiority complex despite her own non-pure blood. Terryn and Tawny do not usually get along, but seeing as they're in two different houses at school they don't see each other much. HISTORY General History: Born to a pureblood witch mother and a squib father, Terryn's grandparents weren't exactly receptive of him and his twin. However, his grandparents did keep an eye on the twins as they grew, hoping that one or both of them would show magical talent. When both of them did, Romilda was especially pleased and they offered to take the twins to teach them about magic and the family. Tawny had always loved her grandparents and begged her parents to let her live with them, and they relented, on the condition that they all stay in the same city. Terryn instead clung to his parents, and stayed with them. As the twins grew older, they grew further apart. Terryn had remained the shy, quiet boy who preferred books to people while Tawny had become haughty, superior, and ambitious. Terryn still tried to be friends with his sister but she never had anything good to say to him or his friends. So Terryn stopped trying and just let her do what she wanted and tried to stay out of her way. Oher than all of this, Terryn's life was fairly uneventful.
MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: Terryn tugged on the sleeve of his cloak as he waited for his name to be called. His twin had already been called and found a place for herself at the Slytherin table. He was glad of that; he knew she'd wanted to be a Slytherin. It also meant that more than likely he wouldn't be in the same house as his sister. He loved her, of course, she was his twin, but they never really got along very well. "Terryn Avani!" The ginger wizard gasped and bit his lip as his name was called, jarring him from his thoughts. Pulling his uniform straighter, he made his way through the crowd. "Excuse me," he squeaked, "P-p-pardon me!" Finally he sat upon the stool and the hat was placed on his head. "Well now, what do we have here?" the hat asked and Terryn gasped, a light blush forming over his cheeks. "A twin, I see...yes, I placed your sister a few minutes ago. Would you like to go to Slytherin as she did?" Terryn bit his lip and closed his eyes, hoping not to get placed with her. "No? Very well, then. RAVENCLAW!" Terryn breathed a sigh of relief as he moved to sit with his new house mates.
Boggart: His grandparents. They terrify the shy little thing!
Mirror of Erised: He would probably see his whole family getting along together even though he knows that will probably never happen. He just loves his family and wants everyone to be friendly. EXTRA CREDIT Greatest Treasure: A book of Charms his mother gave him.
Manner of Dress: Usually fairly neat, but if he's in a hurry then he could be messier.

Approved by Charm GENERAL Name: Tybalt Percival Wolf Gender: Male Birthday: February 29th House: Hufflepuff Blood Status: Mixed blood Wand: 9 7/8 inch holly wood wand with a unicorn hair core. Wand Hand: Right PERSONALITY General: Tybalt is....dramatic. There is no other word for it. He acts as if his entire life is a play and he's the lead actor. He usually has a set way the "scenes" of his life should go and if something isn't right, he has no problem stopping everything just to fix it, whether that means moving someone or asking them to say something a different way. Other than that, he's generally very friendly and outgoing. Sometimes this does not work in his favor, especially if he's taunting a Slytherin! That, however, doesn't happen very often as Tybalt does have SOME common sense. He enjoys reading plays and will often recruit his brother and sister Habits: Being overly dramatic, pretending everything is a play, directing everyone. Hobbies: Acting! He's very dramatic and loves to be on stage. He also enjoys writing and has been toying with the idea of writing his own screenplay. Likes: Acting, reading plays, memorizing monologues. Dislikes:Bad reviews! People who don't like plays or prefer movies. FAMILY Mother: Katherina (Meadows) Wolf || Mixed blood witch; actress in a local theatre group. Father: Duncan Wolf || Mixed blood wizard; lighting specialist in a local theatre group. Siblings: Romeo Bedivere (older brother, works with the same group as his parents, graduated from Hogwarts); Juliet Gwenivere (younger sister, 7) Extended Family: None, grandparents are deceased. Relationship with Family: He loves his family very much. He loves working with them in plays. HISTORY General History: A love of plays and the written word in general was instilled in Tybalt as a very young child. His parents met at their theatre group and fell in love fairly quickly over a mutual love for Shakespeare plays, most especially Romeo and Juliet. From there, they got married and had three children...so far. Tybalt is by far the one most interested in the actual acting part of being in the theatre group. Romeo prefers to be behind the scenes, working with wardrobe. At 7, Juliet is much more interested in dressing up and playing with makeup than really acting or working. She does play in family shows with her brother Tybalt, though. MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: Tybalt stood at the front of the crowd of students, getting just a little antsy, almost as if he were waiting for his cue to walk on stage. Well, wasn't it just the same? This was a role, too. The role of student, waiting for his name to be called so he could be sorted into the house he would spend the next seven years of his life in. It was exciting, and not just because he was curious. Finally his name was called. Tybalt swept dramatically up to the stool and made his cloak flare out behind him before he took a seat. "I see you have a flair for the dramatic," the hat said. Tybalt smiled proudly, letting the hat have the run of him to find what house would be best for him. He had always been the kind of actor that had faith his director, in this case the sorting hat, would never steer him wrong. He could hear the hat chuckling softly. "I rather like that," said the hat before bellowing, "HUFFLEPUFF!" Tybalt waited for the hat to be taken off his head before hopping off the stool and bowing like he would after a play, then running to meet his new friends.
Boggart: Him on stage with an empty audience! *GASP!*

Approved by Charm GENERAL Name: Trèvor Xavior Studwick Gender: Male Birthday: January 14th House: Slytherin Blood Status: Half-Blood Wand: Redwood, Phoenix Feather Core, 13 inches More on Wand: Wand-quality redwood is in short supply, yet constant demand, due to its reputation for bringing good fortune to its owner. As is usually the case with wandlore, the general populace have the truth back to front: redwood wands are not themselves lucky, but are strongly attracted to witches and wizards who already possess the admirable ability to fall on their feet, to make the right choice, to snatch advantage from catastrophe. The combination of such a witch or wizard with a redwood wand is always intriguing, and I generally expect to hear of exciting exploits when I send this special pairing out from my workshop Wand Hand: Left PERSONALITY General: Power Hungry: Since he learned about magic, Trevor has had a major thirst for power. His hunger is deep and insatiable. It's going to take a lot to make him satisfied. He doesn't really care what type of power it is, jut as long as it makes him stronger than the other students.
Daredevil: Trevor is sometimes too daring for his own good. He'll do things that other people never would, mostly because he has no common sense. He's always trying to out do other kids, even if it is dangerous. In his defense he only gets this way when he's been forced to sit around a lot and there's been storms that have kept him inside. He gets restless if he can't get his energy out and will be more likely to try more daring things to get a bigger high out of it.
Impetuous: Trevor is more of an action first person, he rarely ever thinks through before acting. This has caused him a lot of problems, especially when he's been challenged to some stupid or dangerous feat. Even though he's been in many accidents and has split his skull more than once; he doesn't ever stop. At least he's got a cousin that can sometimes act as a voice of reason and talk him out of some of the bad ideas he has.
Intense: Trevor is a passionately intense kid. When he gets into something new he throws all of his energy and soul into doing it. Because of this he can get tunnel vision when he's so focused on what he's doing. This intenseness can often lead to him ignoring friends and other things going on around him. Often he'll even forget to wear, go to the bathroom, shower or change clothes. When he does come out of this mindset he's often wondering how people or things around him have changed so drastically.
Habits: Spins the earring in his right ear, twists the rings on his fingers when he's thinking. Smirks a lot. Hobbies: any kind of extreme sport that he can get away with, being active, reading action/spy books but only when there is no way he can go outdoors. Telling others how he's gotten his scars and about his exploits. Likes: Mountain biking, skateboarding, extreme skating, Rock music, Skulls, jewelry, orange, red, Dislikes: Blue, but it's growing on him. Sitting around. FAMILY Mother: Iria (Cruise) Studwick, half-blood, Witch, Magic School in Portugal Father: Felix Studwick, 45, Half-blood Wizard, Slytherin Siblings:Hollis Cátia Studwick, 14, Squib, Girl's Private School
Extended Family: His father was an only child and his parents died when he was rather young so there is no extended family on that side. His mother's parents have just recently passed away, which has been rather upsetting to all of them. She has one older brother, Richard. Aunt: Gloria Cruise Uncle: Richard Cruise, half-blood Cousin: Jacques Troy Cruise, 11, attends Hogwarts, was sorted into Gryffindor. The two of them were thick as thieves as kids since they grew up living relatively close to one another. Because of his close relationship with his cousin, he's often protecting Jacques from the other Slytherin's pranks. Though he also warns his cousin if there is a particularly mean prank meant for one of the other gryffindors so his cousin can warn or tell a prefect. Relationship with Family: Trevor is really close with his family and with his Uncle's family. They often spend holidays together and coordinate vacations time so the two boys can spend a lot of time together. Trevor and Jacques are really close and always share every secret with each other. There are times when they can finish or complete the other's sentence, which Trevor's older sister finds very annoying. HISTORY General History: Felix met Iria when he went on a trip to Portugal after he finished his last year of Hogwarts. he fell head over heels for the lovely fiery portuguese lady. It took him awhile to convince the portuguese witch that he was worth her time. After a two year courtship, she finally consented in marrying him. But only after he promised that he would allow her brother to move with them.
Felix was happy to do so, so when his job took him to France, he moved her and her brother Richard to France. It was there that Richard met the woman that became his wife.
Hollis was born while they were living in France, and both her parents were a bit disappointed when she never showed signs of magic. They never told her this though, and were careful not to bring it up around her. Because of their daughter being a squib, they were careful not to do too much magic around her. Though they couldn't really keep it secret from her.
When Trevor arrived a few years later, they were overjoyed and excited to see if he would inherit magic. It wasn't that hard to see that he would, what with his hair being such a brilliant blue color. His father had purple hair, though he was always dying it darker so people wouldn't notice.
Trevor has since tried to change his hair color, but to no avail. Any sort of spell or dye doesn't really last long on his hair, much to his annoyance. He's starting to like the color however. Felix relocated both families to London when his job was moved there. He found a nice duplex house so the families could be close but have their own space. Later that year in October, Jacques received his letter to Hogwarts and was rather stunned to learn that he had magic. Felix took him and his own son aside and started teaching them about the magicking world and Hogwarts.
When Trevor's Hogwart's letter arrived on his birthday the following January, he was ecstatic about it and wanted to tell the whole world. Somehow he managed to keep his lips sealed about it, with the help of Jacques of course. It helped that they could talk about it with one another.
Closer to when school began, Felix took both the boys on a trip to Diagon Alley to help them get their supplies. Being exposed to that small part of the magicking world convinced Trevor that this was the life for him. He never wanted to go back to living life as a muggle. He embraced magic as fully as he could. MISCELLANEOUS The Sorting: Trevor stood to the side of the hall, leaning on a large stone column twisting the stud in his right ear slowly in a circle. He watched as his cousin was sorted into the Gryffindor house and couldn't help but smile. He could see Jacques was looking around for him and snickered. How could he miss him? After all Trevor was quite noticeable with his bright blue hair.
He caught some curious stares from the other first years and curled up one lip and sneered at them. Most of them looked away with frightened looks on their faces. Trevor couldn't help but let loose a low laugh. Some kids were just too easy to scare. There were a few that just rolled their eyes at him and then glanced away. Those would be the kids he'd want to become friends with he figured. They might not be easy to impress, but the cool kids never were.
Trevor looked up in surprise when he heard his name. Surely they hadn't gotten through all the other nymes already? Or maybe they weren't doing it alphabetically like he thought they would.
"Trevor Studwick, we're waiting." the professor said again in a loud voice, causing the rest of the other kids to laugh or snicker.
This time it was his turn to roll his eyes at them. He tossled his hair a bit with his left hand and then made his way through the other kids up to the sorting hat. He glanced at the stool and then at the professor. "If you don't mind I'd prefer to stand."
The professor just hmphed and placed the hat on his head. The hat was barely on his head for more than a second when it started talking to him. "hmm..a daredevil you are eh? You could do well in Gryffindor with your cousin. But no, you've got a deep hunger and ambition towards power, I think SLYTHERIN!"
Trevor couldn't help but break out in a wide grin. He was so stoked and excited to get the House he had been wanting. He pounded down the stairs and shook his fist in excitement. "I'm all yours, do with me what you will!" He pronounced in triumph to the slytherin table. He didn't care about the weird looks the rest of the room shot at him, the cheers from the slytherin table were the only thing he heard.
Boggart: Trevor's boggart would be himself without any legs and sitting in a wheel chair. Once he used the "Expecto Patronum" spell the boggart would suddenly have these magical/mechanical legs that made it possible for him to run faster, jump higher and have fire jets that allowed him to fly.
Mirror of Erised: Trevor would see himself as the most powerful wizard in the world, as well as the ruler of his own land.
EXTRA CREDIT
Patronus: He gripped his wand tightly, glancing around the room watching as everyone practiced casting the patronus charm. He muttered the words softly under his breath a few times trying to make sure his pronunciation was correct before saying it out loud. Finally when he was sure he had it right, he raised his wand and carefully spoke, "Expecto Patronum" A split second later, the end of his wand flared and the charm emerged from the end and spiraled off into the room.
Trevor stepped back and tried to follow it with his eyes, what was it? He couldn't quite make out the form of the animal. He heard a few snickers from the kids around him and turned to glare at them. "Shut up, yours is a bloody rat." He told one of the slytherin boys standing next to him. "And yours is a toad." He added turning to another one.
Finally he caught sight of his patronus and his heart sank. A fish? A bloody fish? Man. His wasn't any better. He had a stinking goldfish as his patronus.
"I think it's rather cool, not too many people have foxes." said a girl on the other side of him.
"What? I thought it was a bloody goldfish." He said with a frown.
The girl frowned slightly, "No that was mine. Yours is that fox prancing around like it owns the whole room." She said pointing to the fox patronus which was still running up to the roof. "Looks like you have a rather strong one at that."
Trevor was rather pleased to hear that. "Well thank you. And did you know goldfish are known for being long lived?"
Greatest Treasure: His broken skateboard, which broke when he split his head open when he was 9. He keeps it because it was a signed by a really talented skateboarder that he grew up admiring in England.
Manner of Dress: Trevor often has torn or muddy clothes from running around and attempting daring feats. He's often getting demerits for the state of his dress or his school uniform being dirty or out of order.
Favorite Class: Flying, he lives for riding with the wind in his hair. Despite not supposed to being able to fly on a broom; his father has taught him secretly so he knows more than most first years.
Worst Class: Muggle Studies, it's the most boring class as he already knows most of it. He could take all the tests without having to read the book or listen to any of the lectures. He often goofs off in this class and ends up with detention because of it. Random Notes: Trevor is trilingual. He can speak French, English and Portuguese fluently.
