"My job involves a lot of walking," he said, looking pointedly at her injured paw. Although, he could hardly think of anything better to do: his two main pursuits were doing his job and training, and he doubted she was interested in the latter. "I could show you a little of my job now, and more later, once you've healed," he countered.

Furii followed his gaze to her paw and resisted the urge to roll her eyes--she was fine. But she knew it was pointless to argue. Kalevi was a lot like she was--it sounded narcessistic, and maybe it was, but she kind of liked that. Maybe that was why she liked him. "A little," she agreed. "But some all the same, alright?" She looked at him and smiled, a little hesitantly. "Lead on?"
