Niphredil Ithilmir @789 - it is, but we're trying to make a point. Work it out ^^ @Kenz - the Labour gov't isn't.. terrible. I mean, I don't agree with many of their policies, but at least they're holding the economy steady. And I can assure you that bribing does not happen in the UK - at least not.. openly. Of course some companies 'donate' money to certain political parties.. but apparently that's legal. Labour is getting v right-wing; even some of the Tories were worried that Mr Bliaiar's policies are far too authoritarian. I think, in British politics, we've given up on politicians keeping their promises. To be fair, it's not just Blair (ha, that rhymes) - the Tories and LDs aren't likely to be much better.. ..but at least we'll get Brown soon, instead of Blair. Should be a change for the better. Are you sure you want another old woman to be PM Niph? stare Look what happened when 'Iron Lady' Thatcher was in power! Meh, Labour and Conservative/Liberal, they're both pretty much the same nowadays.

Whaaat? Brown. Gordon Brown. As in, the current chancellor. Although I must admit that his physical qualities may be subject to confusion with those of an old woman.. he is certainly not. An old woman.
Aren't Conservatives and Liberals completely opposite? Or is it different down under? ninja

If I did, I would have taken up European Studies in First year Uni. Down under the Liberal Party IS entirely Conservative in nature; it was formerly known as the Nationalist and UAP parties respectively. There's no truly liberalistic party in Austrlian Politics.

New Labour is hardly the same as the Australian Labor Party. In fact, it's more like the American Democrats. @Raioga: Niph's not an Australian, I am. I posted my picture in one of the picture threads some time ago.

They've lost most of the seats in the house and the senate... but i wonder if that really matters anymore. I mean power in the U.S. mainly lies with the lobbyist for the big corporations. It's pretty hard to get past them... they're worst than sharks!!

Ah, right, I see. But still, Liberals are meant to be.. different to Conservatives.
American politics.. x__x;; I have no idea. Democrats are really just as bad as the republicans, because all American politicians argue in the exactly the same way and I feel that the way they argue is.. flawed. Or just stupid. Either way.
