Clockwork Alice

My posture has improved a little. I used to slouch so much . . .

I also stand pidgeon-toed quite a bit more often. My speech has become more proper, and my grades are quite a bit better, though still not quite as high as my parents or I would like them.

On the days that I am at home all day, I tend to drink about four or five cups of tea throughout the whole day. I do hope that's not bad for you . . . ?

I do have something of an unhealthy obsession with Alice in Wonderland.

I'm a bit more consious of everything I do, whether it be the way I eat, or the way each individual letter of my handwriting looks. Everything seems a little more worth my effort, especially seemingly insignificant details . . . I don't really know I really explained that very well, or if any of you understood it, but I tried . . . ^_^;

The changes you've done are grand, you sound real happy about becoming a loli...

Last night my Dad and I were at a party for Thanksgiving. The lady's house was so cute! It had flowers in every room, and everything was ruffled and friklly. I loved her tea set the most. But while playing with the new baby Elias, Eli for short, I looked at one of her curtains.

I started wondering on how I can make her ruffled and frilly curtains into a skirt.

Now I'm tempted to go off and buy some ruffled curtains, make them into a skirt, and walk around with it. Hey, the lacy curtains can be made into peticoats.

Everytime I take notes for class, I draw cute little hearts with a crown and either bat wings or angel wings.

And during fashion design class, I always make something lolita esque inspired. In drawing and painting class, I draw stuff that would be very gothic lolita. ^_^;;

Indeed! I'm a better person because of it! It's quite exciting, really, when I look back on all the positive changes that have been made in my life through Lolita.

The way I walk has now become naturally light and child like.

The people at my work find it absolutely ADORABLE.

not sure if it counts or not...but when I'm around messy foods I get utterly confused. rofl I can never figure out just how to eat them in a Lolita-ish way...or finger foods like pizza. I tend to hold it daintily and take small bites, but my hands still get grease all over them. ><; And spagetthi is my worst nightmare....xD; I ALWAYS get sauce on me, no matter how careful I am. I've taken to just changing into casual clothes to eat and then changing back later.

I also sew a lot more and walk with better posture, but i still slouch and cross my legs. ><; Two of my WORST habits.

Seems like Lolita really improves lives! It makes us more concious of ourselves in a good way, and we seem to grow some confidence out of being lolita.

very nice. biggrin

For the most part, yes, which I'm very thankful for. ^-^ Unfortunately, I know a few people who haven't changed at all and have in fact gotten worse somehow. O-o; (eg. bad attitude, being SUPER over protective of the fashion, screaming at people for doing Loltia wrong when she can't even get the skirt shape right, ect.) "Bad" Lolita like that....VERY bad.

Thankfully though, it looks as if most people in this guild have become better people for it, which relieves me and gives me a fuzzy feeling in my tummy. ^-^

I draw little cartoon bears all over the place. I drew one sleeping on the back of my sketchbook not that long ago.

whenever I go out anywhere I'm always on the lookout for lolita type things, and it dosen't stop at clothes, I once saw a Strawberry Shortcake DDR and was like "omg...so CUTE!!!"

That and whenever I'm dressed all lolita cute I walk and talk differently. It's like I become my outfit. I can take any outfit and transform myslef into a cute lolie girl, or a sophistocated lady or a spooky mysterious goth girl or a punk girl who looks like she's about to kick your asss. It's awesome.

Lately, instead of little bullets for my bullet notes, I've put little hearts. It has made my boring notebook quite nice. Oh, I've been reading books like 'A Little Princess' every day.

my lolitaness (yay for making up words) is kinda wrapped up in the whole cutesy girly hyper side of me so the package also comes with behaviours. when i'm happy i make little high pitch noises and i have this habbit of generally acting like a five year old girl. a habbit which has the strange side affect of people always going "aw you're so cute!" and petting my head.

I'm similar in that way. When I'm all gothed out in a black velvet gown and dark makeup I tend to be more sarcastic, witty, and intellectual in terms of how I act. Yet, when I wear my EGL or EGA clothing I tend to becomer super-polite, and rather quiet.

I have found that as I began to wear more elegant clothing, my manners improved. Now, though I am a klutz, and I can be a bit too outspoken at times, I am more graceful, soft-spoken, and polite than I was a year ago. Unless I'm ravenous, I eat very daintily, and oftentimes will have my pinky lifted out of habit. I've always drunk a lot of tea, but as of late I've been drinking it out of teacups instead of chugging it from mugs.

I didn't even realize how much I had changed until a few days ago. Some girls at school were making fun of my loli outfit, and I just pretended that they didn't exist. Were it a year ago things would have been much different... I probably would have tossed an insult back to them, since I certainly wasn't too fond of thier clothing.
