One(lame) theory I thought of is that they are in hiding because the News years baby is finally going to wake up this year >> and as holidays, they have to take care of it..and they just don't want to

It's obviously whatever the hell Evil Timmy turned into.

It's so horrible, it even scared Jack out of his wits.

KAY-EYE-ESS-ESS
Uh, wait. What makes you think they're under a tree? Looks to me like they're huddled in a shallow cave.

Anyway, AWESOME manga! I'm seriously excited to see what sorts of adventures Sen, Overseer, and Gino get themselves into!
I could care less what's scaring the holiday guys.

I just really hope they don't keep making Gino a pathetic Butt-monkey. gonk

This is his big chance to break that mold.

All I want for Christmas is a decent Plot Gaia!!! So far it seems like you might.

Hey everyone!

I do like this event, it wasn't as interactive as some events but it still really came through. Also no lousy voice acting.

Merry Christmas!

I've decided to not get my hopes up too high for this event, in case it becomes a general repeat of what happened at Halloween.

I've found out all the answers to the things I didn't get so far as plot went by going through this thread, I just wanted to fill you in that if one wasn't online often enough, we would have no idea what was going on. And, as of late, I'm not online often enough.

Manga: 10/10. They did a great job with these, nice art, and good character development thus far. I think there is going to be another, but IDK. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Most definitely the best part of this event. At least something interesting is happening.

Items: 5/10

Caroling Items: 9/10. I like that the items are going to easily be used during other times of the year without seeming out of place. I'm also quite fond of the green they used, and the style. The dress is adorable, I have to admit. Though I won't be equipping any of these items, as I know they won't fit with my color schemes, I am very satisfied with not only the quality of them, but their multi-purpose and rather unique style.

Event Items: 2/10. These items are crap. I guess the cape isn't too bad, and I have to admit the tub has it's uses if I try hard enough, but they are just complete crap. Not much thought was put into them, and some people donated items worth far more than the hobo-god junk they received in return.

Event: 2/10. It wasn't fun at all. And the idea of donating to a cause that people probably realize is fairly pointless is absurd. Those items didn't go anywhere, they disappeared. It's different from donating to Goodwill or something. Beside that, this is the time of year when people are selling stuff so that they have money to buy gifts, as silly as that is to me. The idea of having them donate crap is absurd at this time of year especially.

Despite that, and the fact that the achievements were so far between eachother, one could easily go into shops and purchase cheap 5g pieces and donate those instead of actually putting any effort or worth into it...which is exactly what I did. Still, though, there were morons buying the stuff cheap off the marketplace, or even for higher than the store price because they are all too thick to step into shops. Thus the ridiculous price madness in the MP.

The "special prize" you are supposed to receive in the end has, thus far, not been gotten by anyone but those who checked in to get it. When I clicked the link at the end of the event, I received a message that said that item granting was no longer available, or something to that effect. At first, being a collector, I was angry and rather surprised that they would do something like that. Then I saw how lame the "special prize" was. Fail. That is all.

Overall: 3/10. If it weren't for the mangas, and the items from the caroling, this even would be a complete failure.

Notes: Characters: I am really enjoying where Sentinel's character is going. And I agree, that I am rather disappointed in the Overseer, though I do find it humorous that his narcissistic attitude is exactly what I had expected from a slimy worm like him. While Sentinel still holds to her dominant personality, it seems Overseer has become a pathetic whining pig just like most of humanity, and nothing much but an attention whore. I like that Sentinel is more focused on getting her bloody powers back instead of being "loved".

Story: While the mangas are good, I'm still a bit confused as to how exactly they ended up using Brennivin's ship. I had checked the event, and noticed that they were standing near Crescento. Which didn't seem at all odd to me, since he had been mentioned in the manga, though I didn't quite understand why he was there. I came back a day or so later, and saw that the former gods were instead standing with Brennivin. That's when I got to wondering what exactly it was that I missed, and how I managed to do that.

Shops/Towns: I don't much go to towns, but I did visit for a short trek, just to see what they had done with the place. By short, I mean a few mere moments, and then I was out. I don't like snow. So, suffice it to say, I didn't much like towns all snowy, and wont' be going back any time soon.

As for the shops, the outfits were boring, and seemed a lot like last year's. :/

zOMG: So, just that Barton Town thing, eh? I didn't see anything else, and I don't think there was anything else. So...you click the presents every so often, and a really easy to kill giftbox flies out at you...and you either get something lame...or something lamer. Astoundingly pointless.

Mini-Game: Tedious and repetitive, though I have to admit I played it all the way through. No items granted for it, though, so I hardly think it warranted a place on my download list. The game was deleted as soon as it was finished. Cute idea, and I can see this being a test for later releases of similar purpose.

TLDR:

I don't like it.

A couple neat items from caroling, and the mangas and plot are wonderful. Other than that, I hated it. stare

3/10 is a bit harsh to me, but it's your opinion. I can see you not liking it as much if you weren't really there for the whole thing.
The donating wouldn't have put a huge dent into anyone's wallet unless they decided to do it that themselves. All you had to do was donate the items you would have trashed anyways. And if you didn't have any like that, you just had to buy from Junk in the Trunk. It was their choice to give a valuable item to get an event item that we should know by now won't be worth all that much anyways.

I don't get why people don't get why the Overseer is acting the way he is now. I mean, he used to be a clam that gave free stuff, which he figured people loved him for. So it's completely understandable that he would care about being loved. Sen doesn't care since she had a way different situation.

As for Brennivin showing up, When Cresento crushed their original makeshift Air ship, there was another airship in the background. Brennivin's store is basically a large airship and he had a smaller one to lend to the former demi-gods. And his shop showed up again in the shop list, so it was kind of an entrance for him to come back.

Mini game was just some a couple artists did for fun and for us to have another freebie. I don't really know how you would receive an item from a downloaded game anyways.

Oh and the updated the event page with a time line, so that would be good for the archives. Apparently an announcement was supposed to go out yesterday..(I still didn't get it)

I liked the event, if for no other reason than that it let me get rid of a bunch of useless items that were rotting in my inventory which I was too lazy to trash. I was really disappointed by the final item, though... with all the gingerbread men we were collecting, I was half-expecting there to be a temporary end-of-event store where you could trade them in for items... though I suppose that would piss off people who just donate once or twice for the item...

Anyway, "he's coming" sounds promising to me. Sounds like there may be busy days ahead for the GiB.
