Koteh held the axe firmly, he didn't know whether or not to trust Kai, or anyone for that matter. The image of his dead family, his friends, his tribe was still in his mind. His rage kept him holding the axe steady, but his instinctive fear of this "kage" kept him from attacking.

"What's a Mizukage? I came here to train, to become stronger so I can save people and change this world and prevent the tragedy that my tribe was a part of! And no one, not even a 'kage' will stop me." he growled.

Kai saw as Yamatano shot the water at him. Spinning to the side, Kai hid behind one of his clones. The clone dispersed into a puddle of water, but Yamatano's attack did nothing. Kai and his remaining clone then made the necessary hand-seals and then said in unison, "Uo Tsuba no Jutsu!" Kaizen's and his clone's eyes both turned the same deep sapphire blue as before, while two steady streams of water burst from their respective mouths, heading straight towards Yamatano. The simple game was keeping his mind busy, keeping him from thinking about the Gobi and his parents and everything.

He finally took control of his rage, and lowered the axe. It took some restraint, but Koteh bowed to the Mizukage.

"My apologies, I'm not used to this town or its customs. I meant no disrespect, I only wish to accomplish my goals." he said humbly.

Kai walked over to Luo and with an excited grin he asked, "Sir are you here to test us now? I'm ready to become a genin, I know it!" In the middle of talking, Kai's deep blue eyes had returned to a stark white as he looked up at Luo, the blue receding from the edges to the middle of his eye where his pupil would be.

Masking his surprise at the stark whiteness of the boy's eyes, and the color changing, he continued to smile. Tapping his chin playfully, Luo muttered a, "Hmmm." He then looked down at the two. "I guess it is about that time of the year huh? Well, alright. Before that though, let everyone else catch up to the jutsu you've learned. If you wish while they catch up, I can teach you a genjutsu or two to pass the time?"

"Um, lord mizukage, forgive me for getting off track, but, Iwas just wondering if you could teach me the way of the silent blade? The training with my daggers that I received from you is great, but I feel that I need to learn an official style." Yamatano said.

Releasing the boy's hand, Luo nodded. "I see," he seemed to say. Then he realized why the boy reacted how he did. He wouldn't reveal as much about his past that he now realized he knew, but he would set his mind at ease. "You know, your clan has brought only the finest of herbs when passing through Kirigakure. My mother swears by it. You guys should be careful. We had a group of rogues running around the country-side and they were pillaging the area. Luckily, I had my chuunin look into the incident and he disposed of the ones causing the most trouble. They won't be troubling anyone anymore. I do hope you stay in the village though, we have a lot to offer. Our main Medical training center is the Kirigakure Hospital, although before you can begin a specialized field, you must pass the genin exams, which means you must learn the water jutsu these two have learned."

Looking at Yamatano, he shrugged. "If you wish I'll do just that. To be honest, I've already taught you the academy level of the hunter-nin style, so you're all set until you reach genin. In fact, I'd go so far as to say you've surpassed the normal academy teaching."

As Kaizen spoke in his ear, Luo nodded as a water clone sprang up from a nearby puddle, motioning for Kaizen to follow him further down the beach. "Oh before you go Kaizen, I want you to know you've completed the requirements for the first stage of the mist sword style."

Kaizen followed the clone, looking over his shoulder at Luo when he told him the good news, "Thank you Mizukage Luo." With that Kai walked with the clone a ways down the beach.
