here's the thing people Atheist's don't belive they think and if you think you can clearly see that religion is a tool used to control the masses. Have you ever wondered why some religions don't use birth control and don't support abortion. I'll tell you, it makes more belivers andding that mush more money to the coffers. The bible was a book written by men supposedly inspired by God right. It says it all right there "hi I am inspired by God". Do you know what else was inspired by something Dragonball Eveloution but you don't see anyone worshiping that crappy movie do you. If you belive in anything organized then it has most assuredly been corrupted by men just like Dragonball Evelotion was. A great idea reduced to crap by socity. I'm not saying that the bible doesn't have good morals in it just that some of those morals are skewed by men. What should I care if one man looks at another man's butt and falls in love. It's not my buisness. The only proof that anyone can come up with that their religion is correct is a couple of pices of paper that some dude wrote a long time ago. So when it all comes down to brass tacks the only reason that I should "belive" is because of a book, I could just as easily worship R.A. Salvatore and call Drizzt Do'Urden his profit, but that sounds stupid doesn't it. Before anyone get's all up in arms and tells me to shut up I just want you to know that I'm just trying to explain why some Athiests think how they do this only one of my reasons for not beliving in ghosts, spirits, zombies, the energizer bunny, the FSM, the bible , the Koran or the Profit Drizzt. It's all just silly to me.

you obviously didn't read the entire statment. I didn't insult your intelligengene don't insult mine, I was giving a statement on what I thought and your response was just lazy. we are supposed to debate here so debate don't waste my time because you misinturperated my veiw. If you have anthing you would like to put in your own words I'd be happy to hear it.

I did look at the link and it doesn't apply because I simply stated why I think the way I do. Your attitude is unapreaciated. The things I mentioned in the passage are reasons for me not for everyone else. If you have a god(s) it doesn't bother me. I know why you have them and I know why you need them. I just don't happen to need anyone to tell me how to be a good person because I lead a good life. If what I think offended you I'm sorry but I thought that we were supposed to debate here and attacking me directly is not debate. You seem to think I'm telling you to think what I think and in that you would be wrong. As far as mockery goes I wasn't doing it you are simply taking what I said out of context. It's inevitable that we bump heads because I think religion is silly but let not fling mud anymore. Instead I prepose that we do what this fourm was made for and debate.

Ok that not offensive at all. I'm just saying what I think and the reasons that I'm Athiest. This makes me rude does it. Well for all the preaching about tolerence that I've been getting I think that you should asses some of the comments I've been getting. I've tried to explain that I'm not telling people that they are wrong. Ive been trying to tell you all that this is my point of veiw and it works for me. But everyone who has responded has misread or misunderstood that this is what I think about religion. I just wanted a valid rebuttle to my statment not a childish attack on me personally. My only point in the statement was that these religious texts that people put so much stock into are written by men and not divine beings so if I put my faith in a book to guide my life I could worship Drizzt Do'Urden and it wouldn't make any less sense to me. It was an example people not an attack on your beliefs. So stop being so close minded and pay attention to the whole message.

If what you think is offensive then stating it is offensive! I could not say "Atheists are immoral sinners who are uneducated in the word of the Lord and will burn in Hell for eternity!" and then expect people not to respond because I add "Sorry, but that's just how I feel."
If you're wondering why people keep getting mad at you in this guild, it is probably because you are being condescending and rude. Many people here try pretty hard to be tolerant. But tolerance works both ways. And you can't expect people to respect you after you just insulted their religion. If you want to debate your points, I suggest you rewrite them in a way that is coherent and not offensive. Read it before you post it.

Maybe someones thoughts ARE rude or controversial. In response, I would say I am NOT dumb, and saying that I'm probably a girl is offensive to women, and is sexist, although I am a guy.

I may have used some poor choice in words to get my point across but I never insulted any religion in particular everyone just assumes I'm talking about theirs. And my thoughts are just the same as your beliefs so by accusing me over and over again of being intolerent is a moot point when every religion insults my mode of thinking. I would like it better if you attacked my idea's instead of calling me ignorant that's childish and I've been trying to have an adult conversation so we could reach some sort of understanding at some point. It seems to me that intstead of giving valid aguments people on this fourm just want to insult my intelligence and post non-witty one liners. That's not debate people that's an argument. try posting something that isn't down right uncivil and maybe we could talk like humans not animals. If everone is incapable of rising to that challange then why post anything at all.
