Banan is somewhat fascinated with death and the act of dying. He's not cruel about it or anything, but if he found ... say, a dying bug. He'd be more likely to sit and watch it for however long it took the bug to die rather than play with it, or kill it or something. And he'd make 'notes' in his head about what it did, how it smelled, looked, etc etc. He tends to be fairly quiet most of the time, but if coaxed out of his shell, he'd be friendly and fun to be around. As he grows older, I think it would be fun to have his 'death' obsession perhaps morph into a desire to understand the body better, and have him become a healer :3

Dumisha is normally fairly level-headed, but there are a few things that set her off. One of these is losing in a fight - but rather than getting upset at the time... she tends to back off for a while. She'll analyze everything that she did and sometimes agonize over things, until she thinks she's found whatever flaw made her lose. Then she'll challenge whoever fought her again - and hopefully win this time. She's quite stubborn in persisting until she can win, no matter how many times she might lose before then. Other than that, she's fiercely independent, and believes that females can be just as strong as males.

Dumisha grew up in a small family of a single mother and one sibling - a sister. It was some time before she even saw a male, and her mother taught she and her sister to always be strong, no matter what. Dumisha's attitude about being as strong as a male was also passed down from her mother - who believed that bearing cubs was just as hard as anything a male could do, or harder. Once Dumisha was old enough, she left her family to wander the world - curious about things outside their own small territory. She got into fights here and there, and generally tended to win... and the few that she lost, she managed to track down the other combatant and beat them within a fairly short period of time.
However, at one point she fought a male named Mzimu'motokali and was very soundly beaten. By the time Dumisha returned from licking her wounds and trying to figure out what she'd done wrong... the male was gone. Since that point, she's been tracking him - trying to find him again so she can challenge him and best him. Eventually, she makes her way to the outskirts of the pride's lands... having determined that he must have gone inside.
Dumisha just recently found and fought the same male on the borders of the pride lands, and then decided to join the pride for the opportunity to fight more with all kinds of lions.

More than anything, Zadok wants to prove that he can be good at something. During his early life, he will always be treated as a pretty much worthless slave because of his coloring. He will do his best to protect his sister from their cruel brother and other lions but mostly fail. After his father comes and takes him away to a different pride and a new life, he'll be searching for some kind of code to live by. Not sure what that might be yet, we'll see how he develops!

Chaji is QUITE the proper boy. Though he looks big and fluffy and friendly, one would be mistaken to think him silly and approachable. He tends to shun anyone who doesn't use what he considers 'proper' manners. But if you can get past this, he's very loyal to his friends and family. About the only thing he does get excited about is tossing various leaves into water to see how it might make the water taste. It's a very strange habit of his, but over time he's discovered several types of leaves that can change the taste in subtle ways.

Kaylith has always been quite a bit more withdrawn and shy than her younger sister. She's also weaker physically and tends to get sick easily. Still, she cares deeply for her little sister and would hate to see anything happen to her. Kaylith was constantly cautioning Konani about asking questions when they were living at home, and ever since Konani left, Kaylith has been worried sick about her.

Kaylith has decided that she needs to go and find her sister. She doesn't even intend to bring her home if Konani wants to stay wherever she is - but she feels responsible for her. She wants to make sure that Konani is okay and not getting into too much trouble.
She knows very well that Konani will talk to almost anyone and ask the sorts of questions that will make her memorable, so she will have to ask questions herself probably to be able to find her sister.
