The guard captain walked outside of the hut and headed up the longer fork in the path that curved around the Guest House and lead up to a larger house. The captain made his way up the steps and entered the House into its clockwork labyrinth. Sticking to the left, the captain entered another room with the hole in the wall. The captain climbed through the hole then came out on the other side to approach a mage which then teleported him to the lower levels of the House. Then the captain made his way North to the Royal Sanctum. Making his way across the bridge and into that compound. Upon entering the grand entrance hall, the captain then made his way up the grand stair and approached the double doors to the Throne Room and knocked.
Turning her attention now to the double doors, Lariexith narrowed her eyes, "Who dares disturbs my meeting!"
Clapping her hands the spiders from the ceiling came down the columns and skittered to the doors to open them before sweeping their way back up to the ceiling.
The guard stood there looking humble before his Matron, "Matron Lari, Matron of Gaundroth is here. She and her guards are waiting for you in the Guest House. She comes bearing gifts. And... after observing her, me and my colleagues believe she may be with child."
Dismissing the last comment, Lari's eyes lit up like a child's, "Gifts? Oooh how delightful! I love presents!"
Turning her attention back to the Archmage and her daughter she then waved her hand of dismissal, "We shall depart at the next nearest opportunity. M, I need you to prepare yourself for our depart. Briza, why don't you show our Archmage some devices he can possibly use to help us map out the vicinity. I'll call you all when I'm ready to leave."
Briza then lead M away from the Throne Room heading towards the Arcane Wing.
((Sorry I had to god mode your character Solvent.))
Once her daughter and the Archmage left the Throne Room, Lari then turned to her guard captain, "You may go back to your duties. I'll take care of it from here."
The guard captain then took a bow and left the Throne Room.
Once he had gone, the Matron then triggered her Throne as it swung out from the wall and she entered into her Sanctuary. She then took to the portal and entered the Guest House to where Matron Zara sat relaxing in one of the chairs. Her hand was resting on her stomach in a very maternal way and her guards stood about the room and around their Matron naturally.
"Good day to you, Matron Zara Gaundroth. What brings you here to my humble abode?" Lari said with bating eye lashes as she sat in one of the high backed chairs facing across from Zara.

Flamgra had awoken late that day,the drink from the night before had affected his sleeping, there for causing him to oversleep. His tardiness didn't make too much difference, now that he had returned home he had no particular purpose. No obligation to speak to the people,or conquer a settlement, he was bored and saught a purpose. So he intended to join this house, from what he heard it was fairly new, perfect opportunity to become a house member. As he pass the stalagties he felt as if he was being watched.. Could just be his imagination,no matter. The household was half in view,he could see the gates and the guards patroling.
"Finally.." He sighed, holding a sack in his left hand. Most matrons appreciated gifts,so some surface food would sway their decision to let him join.

The sudden appearance came to Zara as no surprise, her dark crimson gaze shifting from the window to the other matron as she in turn takes a seat across from her. After a quiet moment, the corner of her full lips tugs slightly, "Humble, though still grand in its own right, of course. To simply ignore what it is is not in my nature." she lifts a white brow. "Hm. I had spoken with your Captain of the Guards, though it appears that he neglected to relay reason for my unexpected visit. Well in any case..."
A light and simple smile remains graced over her lips as she lowers her chin slightly. "I have come in hopes of arranging an alliance between your Household and my own." Her expression softens and melts slightly as she glances down at her stomach. "Months ago I had to flee my House in order to protect my unborn child. I have no doubt that the attack was because someone felt that this could propose the growing strength of Gaundroth. And while I was in safekeeping, well, no doubt you know that my House lost its ranking regardless."
She lightly shakes her snow white head as she lifts her gaze to the other Matron. "I could no longer stay in the shadows, protected like I was a porcelain doll. This is why I have come to you. I believe we can aid one another." The corner of her full lips tugs. "I do not know if I will be attacked in the future, I wish to arrange an alliance so that we can aid and protect one another. And no doubt having an allegiance with a House that is, no doubt, under everyone's radar will prove to be of use to you."

((@Flamgra smile ) The guard captain saw him from afar whilst using his collapsible tiny telescope. The doppelganger could see that the lone drow was carrying what appeared to be a package of some sort.
The captain motioned to his men in dark elf silent from atop his dark ledge in the shadow, -Keep your guard on this one. Watch his movements and that package. Wait for my signal if things should turn sour.-
The message was relayed to the rest of the guards as they each signed it out from one dark ledge to the next. ~~~~~ ((@Zara smile ) Lariexith watched the Matron as she talked. What really struck a cord was when the Matron's expression softened and she looked down at her stomach. Though Lari did not let this connection show, but merely continued on the conversation with a smirk-like look on her face, "So the lowest House in the city needs a body guard," she mused.
"Matron Zara, my dear, I honestly do not see what use you can possibly give me. I am one rank higher then you. In time you will have to bring my House down in order to advance. If it is an alliance you seek then it is only a temporary alliance, is it not? Or unless... you like the rank you're at. Which I highly doubt if you were once at a higher rank. But hypothetically if we were to 'team up' so to speak we could be strong and we could protect one another. But if war were to wage between another House against mine, could I depend on you to aid me as I would have aided you? I wouldn't think so. If you are with child it leaves the mind in a selfish estate. You wouldn't want to risk your neck as long as you're in your condition."

Zara lifts a brow as she listens to the other Matron, the corner of her lips tugging slightly as she hears her weighing the pros and cons to such an agreement, clearly not bothered with the smirk. "Well, almost lowest..." she lightly murmurs, clearly signifying something though choosing not to go into any deeper details at the moment.
The calm smile only grows, "And that... is my strength. In this aspect. Being underestimated. I suspect you have very little entail upon Gaundroth, as do the others. You have no possible way of knowing if I will hinder or enable you and your household." The smile grows just slightly. "And we are all selfish in one aspect or another. You wishing the best political outlook for your kind while my aspects are focused upon a more... deeply inlaid aspect of politics."
She lifts her hand from her stomach, idly holding them apart in motion before threading her fingers together. "I do not blame you for your skepticism at all. However..." she ponders briefly for a moment, as if deciding her words, "Hm... I would think trust would need to be established first, I believe... before offering such plans to say the least..."

Lari caught the murmur under Zara's breath but dismissed it as the Matron continued on to what she was saying. She would find out what that comment would mean later.
"No need to get offensive. You're absolutely right. I wouldn't know what Gaundroth is capable of but I do know what you have that could be at stake," Lariexith's eyes traced down to the Matron's stomach.
"Matron Zara, if I may ask, will this be your first child?"

Zara lifts a white brow before lowering her chin slightly, "I apologize if I appear to be. It is a Matron's position to consider all aspects of a situation, and I do not wish for you to have a mindset before considering them."
Her expression pauses, considering the question and the woman for a moment before reflexively answering through her body language. "Exceptional. Yes, this is my first. As if I had others it would not be as significant. But as my first child, it symbolizes my growing power and a possible threat." she lowers her chin in a nod. "Please. If you have any other questions, ask. I have nothing to hide."

Flamgra had finally reached the gates, looking up at the plant growing over head and the wire spider that greeted him.
"I am Flamgra lil Faern,I request an audiance with the matron of this household. I come bearing gifts from the surface." He said calmly,he knew he was being watched, but he could not quite pinpoint from where. No matter,if he be submissive this should not turn into an ugly event. The fruits and meat from the surface sat comfortably in the leather bag.

((@Flamgra smile ) The doppelganger guard captain then used his gift of ventriloquism to cast out his voice in another direction to the stranger who had approached the House, "To what business do you seek from Matron Lariexith of Tor'afin?"~~~~~ ((@Zara smile ) Lari nodded at the Matron's response and pressed on to the conversation, "I will be truthful with you, Matron Zara. Being a mother myself, I take extreme caution when dealing with others who have young children themselves or about to have a child. I have a firm belief on motherhood. It is very sacred. When I had my daughter, I went to extremes just to be sure to have a good life for her. Because of her, she was the start of Tor'afin's new revelation. And that is when I seized the throne for myself from my own mother. But of course I went about it very cautiously and was sure to put her into safekeeping from far away. I look back on it now and realized that my actions may have been a little too rushed and should I have failed then I would have left my only child in the world without me. A child without her mother," at this Lari sighed in disbelief, "I can imagine her to grow up with the intentions to avenge my death and have her destroy herself in the process. Then Tor'afin would have never been introduced to Ulorbbath!"
Lari then leaned back with her finger pressed to her lips as she analyzed Zara while still contemplating in her own thoughts, "Its a messy business when there's younger lives at stake. If you truly want this alliance then let it be known that Tor'afin's history is based on war. We consider ourselves a War House. And that is what I want to continue to do now that my daughter is reaching her maturity."
Putting her hand down and situating herself in the chair more comfortably, she then locked her fingers together on her lap, "Now that's said. You were speaking earlier about establishing some sort of trust between us? How do you plan on going about that?"

Flamgra looked around, quickly drawing his dagger whilst spinning around and looking all over for the source of the voice. He did not want to get caught off guard, to have his life cut short; just because of being ill prepared. Once he saw no one,he sheathed his blade and assumed it was merely a gate captain.
"I seek an audiance with the Matron of this household. I have been away some time and am in need of a purpose. I hear you are accepting new family members, I come bearing gifts of food from the surface." He said loudly; Opening the sack slightly, the aroma of hot beef and fresh baked pastries escaping into the air. He had learned a thing or two about cooking on the surface, not enough to call himself a a good cook, but enough to survive and enjoy his food. He quickly pulled the chord and closed off the bag,in an attempt to keep the food from going cold.
"If we could please hurry this along, surface food tastes better warm" Flamgra said, approaching the gate.
((WOW,sorry to put in my 2 cents, but that was a weak rp starter by him,I am no super litterate rp'er, but I post alright sized posts, like, par,no hole in one or eagle, but par.))
