Asp woke up early, like she always did, and rolled over in her bed. It was warm and comforting after the chill of last night. The pale light of the just rising sun was flooding her room, she'd left the curtains open overnight. The Blackthorn campus was beautiful in the morning light. Patches of mist covered much of the grounds, and the windows on the imposing Gothic cathedral glinted with purple and blue hues.
The brunette swung her feet out of bed, yawning and readjusting the red silk shorts she'd slept in. Her roommate was gone, and the bags Asp had brought still sat in a pile at the end of her bed. The silver adorning the bedframe was beautiful. Aspen crouched down and studied it as she rifled through her bag. There was a rumpled sundress inside, a pale beige with a chocolate-brown ribbon. She dressed quickly, running her fingers through her hair. She wanted to get outside before the mist disappeared.
She walked quietly down the hallway, the opposite way she'd come last night, and found a door leading outside. She pushed it open and walked barefoot into the mist pooled outside the door. The cathedral stood in the distance to her left, the Forum before it. I haven't seen half of this campus she thought to herself. She walked around the building to see a boy and someone in a hood sitting on the stone outside another door. She smiled and waved her hand. "Good morning!" she called, walking towards the pair.

Beep, beep, beep...
Kata's alarm on her watch went off. A small, high-pitched beeping noise filled the room. She jumped awake and quickly turned it off. The sound of any alarm annoyed her. She sat up and looked around to see her roommate had finally come back, but was still asleep, despite the alarm going off. Kata looked at the time: 8:45 AM. She had only a few hours of sleep in her, but she was awake, the sun was shining into the room--there was no way she could get back to sleep.
She rose from the bed and pulled the covers straight over the mattress. She looked through the window to see patches of morning mist still lingering over the grounds. She admired the beauty of the campus in the morning light through her window for a few moments before she searched through the closet and settled with a black sweater dress and jeans--the teacher was right: everything needed was in here. She finished getting ready, wiping the sleep from her eyes. She tried to remain as quiet as possible--her roommate was sound asleep, breathing deeply. She left her room and looked down the hallway. No one is here. Where is everyone?
As she left the dorm to walk outside in the brisk morning air, she heard the sounds of a dog barking. What is a dog doing here? The noise led her to the Forum, in the middle of the campus. She was unaware of the fact that Vincent had spotted her moving, unaware that she had just passed by him.
The dog, a brown and white Spaniel, was being walked by a woman in an odd red dress, like something from a History book. "What's his name?" she asked as she approached the woman and her dog."His name is William," the woman replied."May I pet him?" she asked as she knelt down to William, who was already begging for attention. Kata eyed the woman through downcast eyes. "Are you one of the professors?""Yes. I'm Professor Caswell--call me Miss Emily," she added with a wink. "You must be one of the new students. Welcome."Kata liked this woman already--despite her odd dress. She was much more comforting than the professor from last night. She smiled up at Miss Emily as she introduced herself and continued to give poor William love. Kata assumed that Miss Emily was old, much older than herself. Werewolves do live a long time, don't they?
Kata's stomach sank as she realized how little she knew about werewolves--something she might be. She still doubted everything and believed it to be a mistake that she was sent here, she still believed she was a human."Well," Miss Emily began, "I must get moving and take this little rascal back to my room. I have a class to prepare for!""Of course," Kata said through her thick accent. "Nice to meet you." She rose to her feet and shook hands lightly with the woman before she left. Kata moved to a nearby tree and slumped against it, sliding down the tree trunk to sit down. She brought her knees up to her chest and ducked her head again.
You're an idiot, Katarina Lindt...

| That Silent Kid. || The one I'm trying to avoid; None. || Other Chi characters included; Evelyn. Richard. |☆═━┈┈━═☆ Another girl had come out and Vincent greeted her first with his gaze. She seemed spunky but nice, while the other girl was social and a teaser. He felt himself start to act up again, though he had all the greetings in his head, they could not get past his tight throat. Vincent’s gaze left the girl for a moment before returning and he finally greeted back with a friendly, “Good m-morning.”
He looked at Evelyn and it seemed at the moment a groan left the girl’s lips and she pulled her head off with a small growl, “I hate, I mean really hate mornings!” The girl peered up at Vincent, instantly knowing the boy was nervous. Evelyn glanced up at the girl she had been bunked with last night. “Oh hey, what’s going on?” Evelyn then noticed yet another girl – one she did not see last night – come out of the dorm building.
The girl seemed to be on a mission, she did not even notice the other three. Evelyn watched the girl and saw that she was heading towards a dog and a woman, who was most likely another teacher. They conversed and Evelyn just shrugged, returning her attention back to Vincent and Aspen.
Vincent did not notice Kata until she had walked by him. He perked up slightly, watching her as she went to greet a small dog and a woman. Vincent watched with mild interest until it suddenly concurred to him – he was here, with three teenagers and the only other male he saw was the grumpy one last night. He started to slightly worry, was he the only male in the school grounds? He soon found his worry stupid, of course not. He glanced back at Kata, noticing she was leaning against the tree, looking upset again. Vincent had an odd urge to go over and go interact with her, maybe even cheer her up. Vincent stood up slowly, looking at the other two girls. “E-Excuse me,” He said before leaving the two and walking up and over to Kata. He at first did not have the courage to speak but cleared his voice and tried again, “H-Hey… Is everything a-alright?”
Evelyn watched the boy go. He was odd but seemed nice enough; she also noted he was incredibly shy. She figured that would go away after awhile, but then again, sometimes stuff like that did not. She looked back up at Aspen about to speak before someone interrupted her.
“Good morning my lovely pups!” Richard greeted, in a black tux like always, freshly shaved and his hair slicked back. He had his usual grin and he looked about.
“Oh, it’s you,” Evelyn muttered, watching the professor warily.
“Just lil o’ me,” Richard looked at the red-head for a moment, “How did you two sleep?” Richard, smelling two new scents peered up, seeing a young man next to a young lady by a tree. He cocked a brow, so they did get new students last night? Exactly how many came during the late hours? ☆═━┈┈━═☆ With ȿςῒɇήςɇ; you are bound to ʆȯȿɇ

[[I AM SO SORRY! I've been busy. But, hey. Back. And, okay, time jump. I'm on it. We'll say Fray had been out sketching, that's why she's not in the room.]]
Fray looked around, so happy. the campus was too beautiful to resist last night, so she had left as soon as she could, sneaking to a quiet spot outside to sketch the scene. And a bit there, and there.... And.... Done! She looked around, noticing it had gotten light out as she had drawn her latest. She managed to capture the trees on the other side of the fence, getting a bit of the fence in the foreground. Now it was late dawn, and she was woried she'd be caught. She stood, quickly gathering her lead pencils and leather-bound sketchbook, shoving the former in her pocket, she began to run. She rounded a corner or two before slowing down and creeping her way towards the front door. If all else fails... I have been outside all -morning-, not night... She realize that she made sense, and stopped looking like she knew she was in trouble. I'm not, anyway. I was simply making art. And, besides. I'm twenty-three. I don't need a curfew! Oh, well... Hmm... That girl. Asp, was her name? Nice girl. Wonderful to be boarding with her. By now, she had reached the front door and walked inside. Her good memory let her find her hall easy. She had managed to pass Asp without being noticed. This was a skill of hers she had to learn while dodging knives flying through the air and two by fours all of her life. Reaching her room, she dropped her book on the unoccupied bed, and turned to her bag. It was still on the floor. Unfastening it, she opened the bag, rummaging until she found new clothes, consisting mainly of an orange and black button-down shirt, and a pair of baggy black pants. Her boots her already gone, as she took them off before she left. Taking the bands from her braids, she ran her fingers through the plaits, her hair now extremely waved and she dressed herself. now in her new clothes, she checked to make sure her silver peircing in her eyebrow was still in. The orange ball was a little loose, so she screwed it back on as she trudged to her bag for her sketchbook and notebook. Her pencils back in her pocket, she turned to the door. Opening it, she pivoted, her boots scraping on the stone floors. She walked down the halway and around a corner, finding the front door again. Making it to the forum, she headed in the direction of the studio, as the map had been memorized, so she KNEW it was there. Making it there, she opened the large wooden door. Walking inside, she saw a few easels on one side of the room, an elevated bit of floor, obviously for drama and dance. She went straight to the easels and began setting up. She placed her sketch book upon the stand, and, taking out her pencils, she began to sketch a still-life scene of the room.

Aspen watched the boy walk towards another girl across the lawn. "Shy one, isn't he?" she asked Evelyn. Before she could say anything else the professor who's led her to her room last night appeared. "Good morning my lovely pups!" Evelyn answered in a mutter and Asp merely smiled. "I slept fine" she responded to his question, "looking forward to exploring the grounds actually. It's beautiful here." She trailed off as she saw the boy from earlier standing with an awkward stance, appearing to converse with the brunette.
"In fact, I think I'm going to do just that. We'll have lunch here, right?" she began walking towards the back end of the forum, where a large clocktower stood, and waved behind her back, "I'll see you then, k?" she spoke to Evelyn.
She walked across the campus, almost in a straight line, under the clocktower and towards what appeared to be the other dorm. She'd left her map in her room, content to wander about. She skirted the building and reached a copse of trees near the far Eastern wall. She delved into the pines, the needles crunching under her bare feet, making the fine mist swirl about. It was surprisingly dark under the cover of trees, and the gleaming campus seemed mysterious from under the shady canopy. Asp pulled her dress underneath her and reached up to climb into the low-hanging bough of an old fir. Gripping the rough bark with her bare feet, she pushed higher, settling on a limb about 6 feet from the ground, letting her feet swing over the side, reveling in the early morning stillness.

♛♕ ℳąℜҡ ♕♛ that boy is a ℳϴℕⓈϮЄℜ..... Mark woke up with the sun on his face. Damn it! He kicked the curtain closed with his foot, cursing under his breath. He rubbed his eyes with his left hand, throwing off the covers with his right. He hated being woken up with light in his face. It was a Saturday, so there were no classes, and he'd planned on sleeping in, but he was one of those people: once he was awoken, he was staying awake. He reached under his bed and found a wrinkled navy blue button-down and threw it on with a pair of jeans. He grabbed his book from the desk and tramped down the stairs and out the northernmost door of Soare. The door opened into a collection of pines that offered the perfect location for reading.
He walked with his eyes on the ground, watching his sandaled feet disturb the last vestiges of the morning mist. He walked deeper into the copse, waiting until he actually ran into a tree, having no preference for any of them. His forehead came to rest on a Douglas fir, one of the older trees in the grove, and he turned around and settled beneath it. He rotated his shoulder and is popped loudly. He was going to need more instruction by Sievara, his last run had dislocated his shoulder, and it still hurt like hell. Maybe later.. he mused as he opened his book. ♕♛----------------------------------------------------------♛♕

She raised her head and laid her large, blue eyes on the figure in front of her: Vincent. "I'm just tired is all," she replied, figuring him to be the kind not to question what others said. She sighed and stretched out her legs before her. The morning dew was soaking through the pants she was wearing, but she didn't mind: the dress was black and covered her hind end anyway. "Sit with me for a bit."
He seemed to hesitate, but he sat across from her, at a safe distance away. There was a silence between them, but it didn't bother Kata as it did last night. She liked how he didn't speak much. Words are overrated. Give me actions. She noticed a group in front of the Lunare: two females and an older male. She noticed the male look at her and Vincent. Something told her that he smelled them. She shook the thought out of her head. It wasn't normal to think like that: he smelled us.
She looked back at Vincent, who had his eyes on the ground. "You're... German, right?" she began. "My father's German. But... mein akzent ist schrecklich." My accent is horrible. She dropped her head bashfully for her accent was indeed, horrible. She could not quite pronounce the 'r' sounds right, and the '-lich' sound was not even worth mentioning. But her father insisted that she knew German. German was part of who she was, even if she did not see it that way. She did not actively try to learn German, as she had her English, so what words she did know, she butchered with her horrible accent.

The last thing Asp expected to see was someone else in her private grove of trees, Especially not this nut-case she thought as she watched the boy smack into the tree she was sitting in. She pulled her legs up slowly, careful not to make a sound, and studied him. He was reading something, some kind of medical journal, it seemed, and his breathing was quiet. He was absorbed, and didn't notice when she let her legs back down and and leaned forwards. "Hiya" she spoke quietly.
The boy didn't react like she'd expected. He swung around, attempting to stand as he did. The book in his hand flew from his grip, flipped wildly through the air, and smacked Aspen in the forehead, knocking her backwards off the limb she was on. She landed with a thud on the pine covered ground and groaned. She reached up and cupped her forehead. It was sticky with blood and stung.
"What the hell was that?!" she yelled from the ground.
She heard a crunching as the boy walked closer to her. "That's what you get for frightening a man who's had barely any sleep. Now quit touching your forehead, you're just making it bleed more." he said as he came into her fuzzy view. Aspen sat up, her head spinning, and slouched forward. The thick volume lay next to her on the ground. Gray's Anatomy: with an Introduction by Alistair Blackthorn she read. The boy crouched on the ground next to her. "Lemme see." he commanded, pushing her hands away. He had scruff on his jaw, obviously not shaved for a few days, and had dark circles under his blue eyes. He took his middle finger and flicked her temple, sending shooting pains through her head.
She did the first thing that came to mind and punched, hitting him square on the shoulder. "That hurts!" she scowled. The boy didn't seemed moved and spoke matter-of-factly. "I was checking to make sure you don't have a concussion". Asp brushed his hand away from her face. "Maybe if you hadn't thrown your book at me, you wouldn't have to check." The pain in her head was swiftly fading, replaced by a twisting of her stomach, which let out an audible growl. Asp looked down at her stomach and back at the boy. "You have any food around here?" she asked. The boy laughed and stood up. "C'mon".

| That Silent Kid. || The one I'm trying to avoid; Kata. || Other Chi characters included; None. |☆═━┈┈━═☆ Vincent played with the grasses, just enjoying the sun on his back and the company in front of him. She seemed rather quiet as well, he didn’t mind that. He found bliss in silence, you could think, notice things that you tended to overlook while talking. Feeling eyes on him, Vincent perked up and glanced to where he was only recently. The brunette girl that had been there was leaving and the red-haired girl herself was standing and giving a curt wave to an older man over there. Vincent’s brow narrowed in slight thought, when did he get there? The two males made eye contact and Vincent immediately looked away. He soon heard whistling and peered up again, watching the older man enter the dorm, most likely to check up on other students.
Kata started to speak and Vincent gave her his attention. Her German was choppy but understandable; he gave a soft smile and replied, “Ihr Akzent ist nicht zu schrecklich. Einige Praxen werden das reparieren.”* He then shook his head; she probably did not even understand him! “It’s not too b-bad,” It sounded as if he was to almost comfort her embarrassment. Which felt odd to him, it was usually the other way around, people trying to comfort him.
He then tried to change the subject, it seemed she didn’t want to talk about language anymore, “Lovely d-day, huh?” He commented lightly, looking up at the sky before back at the grass. He was thinking about exploring the school, he glanced at her before he asked her, “W-Want to explore the school?” *Your accent is not too terrible. Kata gave Vincent her infamous quirky smile as she looked at him through downcast eyes. He had not stuttered when he spoke German, his native tongue. Maybe she'd learn to perfect her German so he wouldn't feel his words getting caught in his throat.
Vincent suggested wandering around the campus and began to move to rise. "Not just yet. I'm quite comfortable where I am. Give me a few more minutes." The words rolled lazily off of her tongue. She closed her eyes and felt the warmth of the rising sun on her face. She fiddled with a fallen leaf in her right hand, between her thumb and forefinger. She almost instantly felt better with Vincent around. Something about his presence warmed her like the sun was warming her pale face. She felt comfortable around him--she had even indulged in one of her impulses she usually kept tucked away, hidden deep within her, in front of him. More than that: she had asked him to join in her impulse.
He had come to her just now, surely because she looked upset. Kata exhaled sharply as she realized how dramatic and childish she was acting--again. She had to learn to control her mood swings now, for that's what she assumed they were. Her stomach rumbled--breaking her from another one of her trances. She had not eaten for a while now--not since yesterday. When she had crawled into the bed last night, her stomach must've forgotten it was empty because it let her fall asleep peacefully.
"Ok," she said, opening her eyes and beginning to rise from her spot underneath the tree. "But then we have to go find something to eat." She stood up and held her hand out to help Vincent up as well.

The walk back to the room was uneventful. Loki was sore from the fight and pondered on about it, ignoring the sting of the wind on her bleeding elbow.. She did not remember being very aggressive earlier. She was very angry at the time but after the first few punches, her mind went fuzzy. Did I do it again? I hope that kid got what was coming to him! She thought triumphantly. When she passed the large doors into the corridor that would lead to the room she woke up in, her triumphant smile faded. What if I killed him?! No, there would have been a lot of blood around the front of the gate. He’s around.
She found her way back to the room easily enough, only to find that someone else was in it. Whoever they were, they were asleep in the other bed. She tip toed over to see who it was. It was a girl, probably taller than her, with dark brown hair. Loki shrugged and kicked off her boots. The fire was dying so she went over and stoked it before hanging the cloak with a bit of blood over the edge of the bed she woke up in. I’ll clean it… She rummaged through her knapsack and found a roll of cloth. She tried to lick the blood away from her elbow but she could not reach. With a sigh she wrapped the cloth around her elbow and tied it off, hoping not to get any blood on the bed. She lay back and was instantly asleep.
There was a noise, an annoying beeping noise. Loki turned and hid her head under her pillow and the noise stopped. Later, she noticed the brightness before her eyelids and she slowly eased them open. It was morning. Well morning. She sat up quickly and looked around. The brown haired girl was gone. Loki hopped out of bed and ran to the door to see if anyone was about. No one. Is everyone in class… CLASS! Loki ran to knapsack and pulled out her clothes, spilling her father’s gifts all over the floor. She paused, looking at them sadly for a moment before putting them neatly back into her pack.
Dressed she ran out the way she had the night before and looked around the grounds. It was a beautiful day and soon, Loki forgot all about being late and slowed her hurried pace to more of a leisurely stroll. She spotted two white specs in the sky. She stopped and watched as the two doves flew around each other as if in a dance. A smile lit on her face and she resigned herself to watching the two white dancers.

He silently nodded at her request to stay longer and decided to look about, blue eyes flickering from the grass, to the sky, to one of the building’s outer designs, to a quick glance at Kata before wandering off somewhere else. He did not take the time just yet to study completely everything; he would have this school year to do that. Not to mention – if he stayed longer.
The growling of her stomach caught his attention and his curious gaze landed on her. With her growling of her stomach, his replied in return. He glanced down before looking back up to see her offering to help him stand up. He looked warily at her hand for a moment before taking it and standing up – making sure that his heavier body did not pull her too much. Her hand was warm in hers, and he glimpsed at the connection before releasing her hand and looking away, “T-Thanks.”
He then realized, it was a Saturday, they had all day today and tomorrow to go off and explore. “Let’s go eat first, if you want,” He looked around, trying to pin-point exactly where a food court would be. Maybe that blond professor knew? “We have all day to e-explore.” He offered, looking back towards her. He really didn’t care, he realized he enjoyed her company – though they did just meet – and he wanted to enjoy it while it lasted.

Cristian mumbled in annoyance as the morning sunlight drifted through the window. He sat up, yawned, and rubbed the sleepiness from his eyes. He looked around the room, and noted that the other bed look like it had been slept on. Standing up, he yawned again, then grabbed his bag. He washed up quickly and changed into a pair of Jeans and a tan T-shirt. He grabbed his bag and stepped out into the hallway.
If the campus looked beautiful in the moonlight, in the morning light, it was simply breathtaking. The bright light reflected off the morning dew and windows of the buildings, creating a cascade of colors. He walked along the paths, not wanting to damage the beautiful emerald grass and took in all his surroundings. After a few minutes of walking he saw the forum, students were gathered around and conversing. He decided, if he wanted to know what to do next this would be the best place to start.

Their hands touched. She had helped to lift him off the ground, though he seemed to not want to rely on her. Kata got the feeling he grabbed her hand out of politeness, but he held on to it for a second longer than he needed to.
"Well," Kata started. She looked around the campus, trying to find where food might be located, but, having failed, she looked back at Vincent. "I said explore first, because I don't know where we can eat. Do you?" Vincent slightly shook his head in response. She sensed he was getting nervous again--his silence told her that. Why? Why is he so nervous? What is there to be afraid of? It can't be me, can it?
She began to walk, feeling the wetness of the dew on the back of her legs. It bothered her, but only slightly. It was her punishment for acting like a child. Vincent fell into step beside her. To break the silence, Kata unleashed an array of questions: how old are you?, where in Germany are you from?, who's all in your family?, what is your family like?, what's your favorite food?, your favorite color?, and so on. Questions that told her a little about Vincent, but only scratched the surface, out of politeness. She didn't bother to answer the questions for herself, only listening to Vincent's hesitated replies, nor did she bother asking questions relating to werewolves. But there was no doubt about it: she was curious about him. Though, why, she did not know. She didn't know anything, but she felt changed around him. Something about Vincent and the awkward way he moved seemed so familiar, yet she had only just met him!
Is this how werewolves interact? Do other werewolves just seem all too familiar? She had been avoiding regarding herself and others as werewolves. To be something other than human just wasn't real. Fairytales were called fairytales for a reason: they weren't supposed to be real.
She paid little attention to the scenery, even though they were supposed to be doing just that. She noticed the wide variety of trees and the lovely buildings with their ancient architecture and the way the sun shined off of the windows and the few flower gardens, filled with the colors of fall. But she was focusing her attentions on the person walking beside her.
"Hm. And what's your favorite subject?"

The air around them was comfortable and he looked about. The school still had a mystifying effect on the young man. He took notice of the details, at how the material used for the buildings looked like. He remembered about learning how old things by taking samples and doing some experiments, that lecture with science really did not catch with him – unlike Physical, Biology and Chemistry – so he struggled to remember the steps and how to do it. Besides, it really wasn’t important, he could just ask one of the teachers. But then again, did they even know?
She started to ask him questions and Vincent thought about them before giving his hesitated reply. He always ended his answer with a ‘you?’ but she ended up answering with another question. He became curious about her opinions about the questions and he took note, if she decided to keep his company later in the year, then he would ask those questions some other time. Maybe tomorrow or something, he wanted to know her just as it seemed she wanted to know him. Then subject question stopped his brain processing for a moment. Then, the young man got really excited.
“Science, of course!” He replied, eyes slightly wide with enthusiasm. He soon started rambling, not even paying attention to how silly he probably was sounding. “I love learning how things work, what makes things tick. The water cycle, the carbon cycle, photosynthesis, food chains and webs, that’s more Biology though. Chemistry and Physical Science are just as fun! Learning what velocity and momentum is, what makes you move, how gravity works, and then, what makes your bones move, how you move.” He was switching back and forth from so many sciences; you had to make sure you were listening, “Oh! Did you know only about ten percent of energy used and stored by other animals that are passed to other animals or Trophic Level is passed up?”
Then it hit him what he was doing. Vincent’s eyes widened slightly and he looked away from Kata and to his feet, a small blush forming his cheeks. He was quiet for a moment before giving a soft, “Y-You?”
