All right, I checked the Captain and Crew Activity Log, the Research building hasn't been deleted anytime starting from Oct 1st, 2005 to present day, which meaning if it was deleted, it was deleted BEFORE Oct. 1st, 2005. Because the Log shows all of the crew and captain activities, including thread deletion, member removal, locking threads, moving threads, etc. The research thread isn't on the log at all, meaning none of the crew or the captain, which would be Allectus at the time did anything to it from Oct. 1st and on, so something had to happened to it before that time and I know I never touched any threads since I was a backseat driver and just watching the guild and it's members post at the time. Your guess on where that thread went is as good as mine. xp

think its time to track down a mod and make an inquiry?

Most likely both since they consider the guilds as the users business and us moderating our own guild forum unless a ToS Agreement has been severely broken for one of them to step in, other than that, I'd say it's doubtful one would step in and either way, I believe our thread would be lost and the only action left to us would be to remake it, but that's just my opinion.

On a side note, I'm known for my opinions of regular moderators of Gaia having no real power and look down upon them to get tasks done, the only ones I really respect and believe helps gaia is the Global Moderators and Administrators. As for the Gaia Helpers, don't even get me started on those second rate wanna be moderators who can't do jack and known for their incompetance. Meh, my opinion on regular moderators and moderator helpers is very very low and I have no faith whatsoever in them, they haven't proven otherwise and most of them making large mistakes that I've seen in my two years and in some circumstances, abusing their powers by banning someone for talking bad about that specific moderator, even when I reported that incident to another moderator, the moderator in question had nothing brought against them or their moderator status downgraded to a normal user, despite the mountain of proof, but that was around the beginning of 2004, long forgotten and I vaguely even remember that Moderators name, but yeah, circumstances like that certainly degenerates my opinions about Moderators, especially when they elect a friend as an "excellent user" to become a Moderator also. So it's just become a chain of incompetant morons with titles above normal users.
