I believe the only real way to prosper is to have equal say to each individual. Freedom doesn't need governmental representation, it's like what Emma Goldman said:
Quote:
Anarchism is the great liberator of man from the phantoms that have held him captive; it is the arbiter and pacifier of the two forces for individual and social harmony.
The ideal that man needs to be forced to goodness disgusts me. Anarchism is so much more humanistic in that it is the belief that humans are inherently capable to governing themselves, to do the right thing without any law or pressure from some government. Socialism is the exact opposite, it's more government because the core ideal is that people are incapable of governing themselves, not only that but it completely tanks any thought of free market. President Obama has even stated that his "share the wealth" project is going to be more helpful to people who don't even pay taxes than it will be for the middle class people. What does it solve? Classism is just as disgusting as racism or sexism. Taxing people of a certain income will only hurt the economy overall. Who provides jobs? The rich. Who stimulates the economy? The rich. Someone making a million dollars a year is going to spend X amount on their extravagant homes, X amount on their boats, X amount on their cars, and X amount on everything else.
Taxing the rich (which as it is defined by today's standards is anyone making 150k GROSS income, i.e. most middle class families in America) will ultimately only hurt the lower classes.
