Gabrielle liked the manner of the troll and she nodded back, keeping her darkness within her and using the water still on her head to slowly cool herself down. In a second her hair was dry and she was more relaxed and colder.
The appearance of Neo in the middle of the assembly did not raise more than an eyebrow on the woman's face. Slowly a smile raised on Gabrielle's face and she even started laughing.
So the man which the young Karma and herself had met in the Crimson Forest years ago and who had told her a blunt 'I'm afraid you've mistaken me for someone else' before disappearing was indeed The Neo! She remembered how she had kneed, full of emotion, the first time she had seen him.
Here was the Leader of her own faction and the first time she had met him, he had LIED to her! He had LIED to his own followers. The overall thing was just too absurd. He could have said 'I am sorry but I would like to be alone.' but no...he had LIED. Gabrielle pinched her lips to contain her laugher.
She turned to Nina, tears of laugher at the corner of her eyes "You are right." She took a deep breath and calmed down. She was simply happy to see him and this time she bowed slowly at him before standing straight. She would follow him, whatever his flaws.

"Neo, I trust all is not well, else you would not have bothered to call us all here. It's been some time since I last fought beside you in battle. I look prudently look forward to such an opportunity once again."

Tyhier stepped in casually and looked at all who had arrived."What is this, what is happening here."He asked a nearby knight of internal darkness. He looked on and saw dawn striders and holy knights in ranks with his comrades. "Well, speak up, what is this?"He asked the knight again, not even giving him a chance to speak the first time.

This is the hand he’s been dealt. Everything else has been cast aside, everything else is but the shadow of a memory. This is the now, this is the present—the gift. And finally, a denizen of the darkness comes. He is of the lower ranks, but the fact of the matter is, this is the congregation, the flock. All kingdoms are represented here: dark, light, twilight, and flame. All are gathered here to fend off the forces of chaos.
Dimitri—yes, he remembers him dearly. It was the first Great War. He was there, and he fought valiantly. Gabrielle—they’ve met once before. She had confronted him, one of the first to do so in fact, in his period of isolation. There is also an angel in the midst, or is it—is she? No, she is. She’s conflicted, complicated—much in the likeness of other humans, but her light still shines. The hidden persona bleeds through like a caged flame.
“Chaos,” he utters. The tone of an arch angel is something most people never forget. Most people have never heard it, but of those who have, it’s engraved. The sheer essence of tranquility—tranquility infused with force, conviction. Some have imagined it carrying the resonance of thunder. It’s an odd occurrence.
“I would like to thank you all for gathering here today. You’ve all proven yourselves to your faction, to your state, and to this realm time and time again. You’ve faced challenges that no others have faced. You each have a history and you each have a course, but today, your destinies have intermingled.
Aristocrats of the dawn, nobles of the flame, denizens of light, and eternals of darkness—you’ve been gathered for a purpose. There is a disturbance within the realm. This new threat plagues the very fabrication of the known verse. Each of you, despite your differences, has a duty to uphold. This is your home, your earth. It is your duty to protect and preserve it.”
A brief pause to take in his audience’s reaction—hesitation in order to read the facial images, the body language—what are they thinking? How do they feel? Are they shocked? Astonished? Are they lost? Bewildered? Does any of this—this even matter? No, probably not. He’s here to inform, and that’s all he’ll do, but he can’t help but wonder. He studies the crowd. The instance is but a few seconds.
“Chaos,” he reiterates. “The threat you face is none other than its embodiment. To make matters worse, there are two. Already, knights have fallen by their might—your ancestors. I tried to contain it. We all did, but they broke the dimensional bounds and now roam free.”
Recounting the horrific events caused by the two beings can cause one to lose one’s self. Any unruly mark edge on the wall of memory has its lasting effects. He had hoped it wouldn’t come to this. He had hoped he could have left them out of it.
However, this is the hand he’s been dealt. Everything else has been cast aside.

Nina paid very close attention to Neo. How could she not soak in and engrave his words in her mind with his voice as a resonating timbre. Today would be memorable, indeed.
Her eyes widened as he spoke of a disturbace, the chaotic beings. She had heard a rumor, or two, floating about... She didn't believe them at first, but now she knew they wre true... and much worse than she imagined. Her face carried an expression of worry. At least one person of each faction had hown up in order to fight this darkness before it destroyed them all. She felt somewhat strengthened by this fact. They would all be workng together for a common cause. Perhaps this would bring an end, maybe, to their conflicts?
After his brief pause, he spoke again of how knights had fallen to this evil creature, no... creatures, and how Neo had tried to contain it. Perhaps it was an impulse of her agelic blood, but at this point she strongly wanted to be of service. If she could do anything that would help... well, it just might make her life feel worth while. Instead of worry, determination was seen in every feature. This was her chance... her chance to help people in need, to fight a great evil, and to possibly grow and find her own self worth.

Tyhier heard the great words of the man, even though he was low ranked he felt he should state an opinion. He rushed in front of the man and turned to the crowd.
Looking at their faces he laughed like he was insane. He drew his blade and pointed it high in the air above his head.He stared at it for a moment before switching view to the crowd.
"I may be a low ranking soldier, but I have something to say,"He declared,"Brothers and Sisters of all races and clans, we may fight for control of these lands and it may never end, but unless these nuisances are destroyed our whole existence is meaning less,"he shouted with great fire in his eyes,"I'll be damned if I let anyone rob us of our right, I will fight and I will bath in the blood of these creatures or die trying!!!"he shouted. He turned and looked at the man who had summoned them. An evil grin widened across his face. He once again faced the crowd. "Just who the hell do they think we are, we are the knights that will grasp this world in our barehands and become gods!!!!!"He roared and pushed his blade up."Are you with me, or do you want to rot as a skeleton at their feet, I say nay!!!!"His voice was fierce and frightening.
He started to chant,"Do or die, do or die, do or die,"He kept chanting waiting for more to chime in with him.

Vinas stepped off his horse in reverence, the being he saw as plain was his leader, his very own faction leader and he'd discounted him as scrap. Vinas dropped to a knee at his words, taking it in, he pulled his antique two hand sword, layed it flat in his hands and raised it to Neo "I readliy offer myself to this cause." He uttered his oath and swore by it that he would give his life and soul to this fight.

Gabrielle's attitude had shifted when she had noticed a Knight of Darkness approaching. Her hand was now on her pommel and she was ready, just in case...
But before anything happening, Neo had spoken and he had included all the knights of all the factions in this quest against a new threat. She was still tensed and the news brought by her leader did not calm her down. Chaos...? What could be worse? She listened attentively to every single word of Neo. Already her mind was at work trying to find a way to destroy them. She listened to how knights had fallen and been emptied of their souls. She clenched her jaws at the knowledge.
When the Dark Knight rushed towards Neo, Gabrielle had all the difficulties not to jump ahead and face him. Her katanas were ready. But she had to remind herself of two things: first if the man was a threat, Neo would be able to destroy him in a flash and secondly, all the knights had been welcome so she should calm down.
The man with the strangest sword ever seemed happy about the overall story! He looked totally insane and Gabrielle sighed. That's our luck! A blood thirsty knight. I'd rather have Cyrus. she remembered the Knight she had fought at the tournament.
She let Tyhier sing alone, staring at him with a stern look. Vinas's attitude caught her attention. He was worth much more than that Knight of Darkness. He made the same gesture she had made years ago, he kneed in front of Neo and she respected him for that. He seemed as old fashion as she was.
She took both her katanas, Eosy from her back, Aqual from her belt, and crossed them in front of her chest before putting them back in their respective sheaths. "I, Gabrielle Camille, First Rank Holy Knight, will help prevent the world from falling to Chaos." This was the first time, she was officially accepting her high rank amongst the Holy Knights.

Nina watched as the Dark knight rushed towards Neo and turned to the rest of them. Who the heck was he? It was all well and good to be enthusiastic about defeating the greater evil, but still... Stratching the back of her head in a hesitent manner, she figured his outburst kinda ruined the tranquility of Neo's speech prior. Biting her lip at a particular part, though. Not out of embarassment, but to keep herself from giggling. She knew it would be rude if she did, but a particular statement caught her attention. The boy said,"I'll be damned" Well... aren't all knights of darkness damned already?
Taking in a deep breath, she did her best to compose herself. Such a feat was made easier when her eyes glanced in the direction of Vinas, her fellow third rank knight. He was very old fashioned, though... it suited him well. She actually felt more confortable with his display than with that of the more modern attitude of the darkling. Beside her, Gabrielle followed Vinas's example and crossed her swords over her chest before making her small declaration. Nina was starting to feel like she had to say something... but she didn't know what. Doing something like Vinas and Gabrielle would seem like copying, and doing something like crazy dark knight was be totally out of character for her... as well as embarassing for her whole faction. Instead she bowed her head respectfully, and offered words from her heart, "If I can truly be of any service at all in my life... I pray it will be here in this time of great need." This is, indeed, a time were everyone counts.

Tyhier looked on as many seemed to think he was crazy, but still saluted the cause. He laid Soul Edge on his shoulder as he watched their reactions to his actions.
His face became more serious as he took an a manner fitting an honorable high ranking knight, which was way far from his true rank. "This world needs us, even if we don't see it,"He explained to them,"My fellow faction is nothing more than innocent souls forever damned for their own lusts,You holy knights fight to protect what's good instead of also fighting the dark in us freeing us from our amored shell prisons, You dawn striders take life, llike the enternal knights and also have honor like holy knights."he said finishing.
He then walked toward Neo his human arm out strecthed. He turned back, his demonic eyes looked into the hearts of every single individual."Let's save our homes and see that if this happens again that we all will stand as one."He said gratefully

Yata only sat, bemused within himself, monotonous without as he held his chin with his hand, in-taking the scene like a Fine mist. Mostly, he was bemused by the Dark knight, who might as well have been a Yapping puppy. Still, he had to be commended for his enthusiams. Much more for even approaching the Paladin of light. All in all, he simply wanted to laugh, but found the strength to remain silent.
"Truly, the Dark knights are a merciless, secluded bunch." He said with a good portion of sarcasm, along with a little snicker. "However, before we continue with this little joining of allegiances, I must ask..." The troll stood to take the stage now, addressing the Paladin Directly, but in aim to answer questions most likely in all the knights minds... even the blind ones. "Just what are the capabilities of this..these... embodiments of chaos? That is to say, how powerful are they that such a threat must involve all four factions? Surely they are not as powerful that our dear leaders of this world cannot handle the situation...?" Yata paused for a moment, gathering his thought. "...and if they are truly so powerful.. how is it that they were not taken care of before a matter of such importance could escalate so high?"
Truly, the troll would seem skeptical to the convergence... but he was not one of blind faith. He was of reason, and reason always ruled the lands of the Dawn. Freedom, Slavery, Life, Death, War, Peace... it all came at a price. Yata represented a faction that always found a way to cash in. It was only his duty to find reasoning...and profit.

I couldn't help but grunt at the words they spoke. So the angel discovers a pair of powerful 'beings' manifested by chaos? Chaos, madness, insanity, does it matter what you call it, there are some things that just can't be defined accurately, and Neo probably had a struggle to describe this trouble in one word. My arms were folded, my face was quite the stoic observer as it simply listened.
How could he be so sure it was the 'embodiment' of something, or could it possibly be the 'creation' of? If so, then who or what created them. As Neo described, chaos, but I wanted too keep an open philosophy about this terror so I could be a step ahead in case there's a turn down the line. Make sure, you're taking notes, I'm going to be doing this a lot.
It's hard to believe that all the factions would go out of there way and put aside there differences so easily when the angel makes an announcement, or maybe I'm just stubborn....I prefer the first one though. Everybody was getting so hyped up, and yet we still had to figure out where we were going while some chant 'do or die' while others instantly offer up their swords. What was I suppose to do, act like a sheep and joining in with the festivities? No sir, while all these people rallied up, I stayed the odd man out. As far as I'm concerned this is a minuscule diversion, this duo of chaos. In these days where everybody picks up a sword and claims themselves a hero, I predict this to be averted from our lives very soon.
All that I'm supposed to do as a keeper of the Eternal Flame is to enforce order, and I'll do that when I actually witness this chaos with my own eyes. Neo would probably disagree with me and prefer it if I took his word into account and make precautions, but like I said before, stubborn.

Shiroka was interested into knowing the answers to all the questions asked to the Leader of the Holy Knight. She was also curious to hear Jin's opinion. Her eyes were going from one knight to the other, searching for clues about what they thought.
The Knight of Darkness seemed eager to go for blood which made the young woman shiver. Most of the Holy Knights were ready to follow their Leader which she had been expecting, only one of them had not spoken. Yata had voiced his questions and she had briefly smiled. She could recognized him there.
Knex was silent next to her. She cast him a quick look. She wondered what the other member of the Red Guard thought. His face was not easy to read. Neither was Jin.
The sun was about to die. It was casting a red aura to the sea, blooding the flows reaching the beach. As if Neo's words about chaos had turned the paradisaic beach into a blooded battle field. She shivered at the sight. It wasn't the cold, just the thoughts.
While they were all speaking, she kneed and created a small circle, brushing the sand flat inside. Then slowly with her hand forming a cup, a little white flame appeared. It seemed fragile and pale but its light was casting a gentle aura. That would do for the moment... she assumed that the fire bender or her leader would create something subsequent later, but for the moment, here it was. She guessed that the night would be long.
Without a word she sat and went on listening and observing.

I glanced over at my fellow Red Guard, Shiroka, who appeared very wary about the others in a fuss, including myself. And I watched her peer to the setting Sun. I heard once before that the setting sun, like the autumn season, was a symbol for the descent of something. Like how Sunrises and the Spring represented Birth, and Midday Summer represented the prime and the growth. Winter represented nighttime and death. Finally Autumn and sunsets, the passage into death.
Could this possibly be foreshadowing the dark forces to come? I did not know, but somehow I felt nervous, weary and shaken by the thought of that possibly being true. Such symbolism's were used in many books of poetry and short stories I have read, could they happen in this fantasy? If only I knew...
Now was definitely not the time to be a lone wolf. We definitely needed to ban together to fight this hardship, and at that point I had lost my stubborn demeanor and took Neo's words in thoroughly. I felt inclined to join Shiroka in lighting up the night with fire and light. But I'm not sure how much my fire would bring, being the green eternal flames of darkness, but, like Shiroka I brushed a small circle in the ground adjacent to Shiroka and with a quick breath and a small gesture in my hand, a black and green flame erupted within the circle.
It was about time I found out what my colleagues were thinking, and they probably wanted to know what I was thinking as well. And first of all, I wanted to start with the one I'm most familiar with, Shiroka. "I guess this is very important for all of us to stay close..." I said to her as I sat next to my flame, as she did with hers. "If what Neo says is true, our factions can't fight this force alone or we'll fall one by one...will-you be staying close to me?" I asked...unfortunately, I didn't have the power to pull words out of the air, because that's not what I wanted to come out, well, not exactly. I made it sound too emotional, but it's too late now, I hope she doesn't take it the wrong way and think too much about the words, or this might be awkward.

Shiroka looked as Knex also brightened up the circle of Knights with his flame. She looked at it with a mix of apprehension and curiosity. She had almost forgotten that some Red Guard were carrying the Green Flame and not the White one like she did.
She smiled at him as he sat next to her. A pale shy smile. She was grateful that he spoke first. She had not known what to say. She was not good with words and even worse with people. She had stayed too long by herself to be a social bird.
Knex's attitude and words brought up the memories of the first time they had met. It had been a strange encounter all in all. He was a strange mixture of coldness, detachment and warmth which could touch her heart through uneasy words. He had helped her despite their differences and had even said kind words to reassure her.
"I wonder what our role would be." she whispered back unsure. "I think...that we should stay...close...as a team." she offered back to his last question. Her sapphire eyes looked at him with hope that she did not misunderstood his words and with fear that she might have said something wrong.
