A long beachline that stretches along the backside of the Holy Mountain range. Its pure white sands and crystal clear ocean waters. It has long served as a place of rest and serenity for the Holy Knights. A place of recreation and relaxation, this area is coveted by all the factions of the realm for its beauty and location. Strategically and aesthetically.

From all over the kingdom, the Holy Knights had received a call.
"Go to the Shimmering Coast."
They all knew deep in their heart that this message came from their Leader, Neo, although most if not all of them had never met the Legendary Angel.
One by one, they left their tasks, maybe they have been traveling, involved in fights against the darkness or resting. Whatever their rank from the newest to the oldest, they all head for the Coast.

Gabrielle had never seen the Shimmering Coast before. She landed silently and looked around. No one. It was late afternoon and the sun had start its decline towards the water. It was rather warm there, almost hot, she was not used to this kind of weather. The place was beautiful and peaceful and yet she was not fully at ease. She dropped her cape and her bag at the foot of a palm tree and then process to remove her boots. She jabbed Eosy next to her things and kept Aqual with her. With the amount of water her, she felt like she could do anything, even defeat someone like the Darkest Tokushi.

Once she had her pants rolled up and her feet in the water, she felt more relaxed. She doubted several times that she had just dreamed the voice. She shook her head, she knew or maybe she hoped that soon other Holy Knights would head toward the Shimmering Coast.

"It's been awhile, Gabrielle."

Dimitri's voice called from an unknown location.

"I didn't suspect that I'd see you in the daylight again," he smiled as he parted the reeds that stuck upwards from the sand dunes.

He could not read her reaction, if it was anger, love, lust or indifference, but he offered one of his disarming smiles as he said,

"It truly is good to see you again."

Gabrielle was a little startled by the voice coming out of nowhere but she recognized it quickly enough that her hand did not search for her katana. She turned in the direction of the sound. The movement brought her hair in front of her face and from the distance Dimitri could only see her mouth. It curved slowly between a smile and a smirk. She chuckled softly.

"Disappointed?..." She said in a half-whisper as she stepped out of the water and brushed her hair off her face. She raised her eyes towards him just as he smiled at her and voiced his happiness to see her. Her heart bounced harder for a second but she chased away her feelings.

It had been a while indeed, she thought to herself. How long since the fog at the Blood Drenched Plateau had stopped their fight and separated her from Dimitri? One year? Two years?

"Good to see you too...Dimitri."

She walked towards her things, paying attention not to come too close to Dimitri.

"So...you heard the voice too?" she asked her companion.

"Yes, I came here with hopes of finding anything.. and you."

He grinned as he turned about, pulling off his cloak in one fluid motion, then setting it down on the sand before seating himself there. He patted the cloth space beside him, inviting her to sit by him.

His armor was different, it was the electrified scales of one of the Seven Deadly Sins. He had it forged within the halls of the dwarves, the charged weapon of the demon now served as a constant source of heat energy for the Holy Knight. It gleamed with the setting sun, reflecting off each scale, and giving his features a more angelic glow.

"Come, sit and tell me Gabrielle.. how have you been?"

Gabrielle looked with attention as Dimitri removed his cloak. She stared in silence at his armor. A first ranked Holy Knight in all his splendor. She, on the other side, did not look any bit different than before. Her clothes were the same, even her aura had not changed. She looked like a weary third ranked knight.

The woman took a second glance at the armor, something about it was familiar. She squinted and her eyes widened. The vibe was the same as Pride's vibe. In a reflex, she brought her right hand to her left wrist. The fragment of crystal was still there.
She smirked. So they had had the same idea, except that she had not yet dared use her asset.

Gabrielle looked at Dimitri, he was glowing in the sun now starting setting up. Should she sit? Was she strong enough? She had worked on her self-control for the last years. Now was the time of truth, had she really become stronger?

She sat slowly, paying attention to leave some distance between them and looking away.

"Fine." she gazed at the sea. "How about you?...New armor...?"

"Haha,"he laughed softly,"You are being as short with me as ever. I'll play along for now. Yes, the armor was forged from the electrical scales of Wrath, one of those damnable Sin monsters. I had it remade into a hauberk of controlled power, I even ran into someone you might know in Proudanvil, he claimed to know you at least, when I brought up your name. Grimmand Elmore, ring any bells?"

He smiled wider as he lay back onto his cloak. He pondered how long the other Holy Knights would take to arrive, but in the back of his mind, he didn't mind how long it took, more time to spend with Gabrielle.

Gabrielle did not react to his first comment, at least, she did not physically react but her thoughts went on racing. He had not changed...as tempting as ever. She listened with attention to his explanations about his hauberk. A very smart move on his part to have created such a powerful armor.

"Master Grim?!" she echoed surprised. She made the mistake to turn to him as she wanted to question him further and she came face to face with his wide smile. She froze...and smiled back. For a second she forgot about the dwarf. But the memory of the strong earth master had brought up other memories and her smile faded. She turned back to the ocean.

"I had the opportunity to meet him indeed." she paused. She hesitated. Dimitri would not accept a second time a question in place of an answer.
"I met him after the semi-finale of the Twilight Tournament. I owe him." It sounded as if the words were heavy to pronounce. After she had parted with the dwarf, she had found refuge in a secret place and had spent some of the darkest weeks of her life there, alone.

Trying to change subject she added. "How is he doing?"

"He is fine. He is mostly retired now, though a dwarf never truly retires, as he himself would likely prophesy to everyone he meets. He actually was the one to put the final magical runes of purging onto these scales."

He placed his finger near the seams of the side, revealing the initials "BG" for "Big Grim". He then turned to Gabrielle, his face taking a serious form.

"How has your... 'condition' been? Have you finally found a cure? Or... have you reconsidered my words from the past?"

Dimitri's eyes held only concern.

Gabrielle smiled. Master Grim retired? That was quite a ludicrous idea. She nodded at the sight of the signature. That was something the proud Master would do.

The question she had been expected since she had heard Dimitri's voice arrived. Her condition...she liked the properness of the word.

She shook her head slowly. No she had not found a cure and she started seriously doubting the existence of such a thing. Her fist clenched on the sand beneath it when he asked her if she had reconsidered his words. She took a deep breath.
"I have been able to slow down the process. Master Grim's runes, Emilien's herbs, my training...but I still consider it a curse."
She looked up at him without a smile but with no anger either. It was a cruse for sure. Despite her hard training and the improvement of her self control, she felt as if back to the old days with Dimitri next to her, his smile, his scent. She had to use all her self control to remain calm and not attack him.

"I have missed you." she added before looking away.

"I as well, Gabrielle."

He said with all sincerity as he simply gazed into the distance.

"If you so choose.. and if your condition goes beyond your control, then feel free to heed my former words. That Dark Gift can be used as a gift as opposed to a curse, as long as you have someone to draw from willingly. I won't push the matter however, as I already know how you feel."

He sighed as he looked upon her turned body and placed a caring hand on her shoulder.

Gabrielle listened. She hated him for speaking again about that curse as a gift, she loved him for pushing her to confront her condition. He did not pity her, he made her face the truth.

When his hand laid on her shoulder, she tightened up. It felt warm. She closed her eyes. It felt good. She brought her left hand to his and gently rested it on top of his fingers. Touching his skin created the same feeling in her as when she was concentrating electricity. She knew she could not stay like this for too long, but she wanted to savor that moment of peace and sharing.
