Karite didn't know what to think when Maya began fingering a choker around her neck but when she snapped out of it she agreed on his proposal on one condition. Small things were never simple in Shima it seemed. Karite knelt down and took off his shoes. Slowly sliding his feet into the dirt and feeling the cool sand between his toes felt really good. He could get use to this while Maya was away. Putting his shoes on the rock he smiled. "They will stay in that very spot until you return. Now for you part of the deal." Karite took his blood red steel bracelets from his wrist and gave one to Maya and eyed Baki for a second waving the bracelet in front of him hoping he would allow Karite to place it around his paw. "This means you have to come back. I will be waiting and I will make sure Kore and Ruha don't eat each other. Although I am going to be running around a lot so they wont have the time. I have a Kun Kumo to pound into dust and I have to figure out where to find a weapon of some sort. Don't think Kore is just going to lie around all day." Karite said looking more at Kore and Baki then Maya.
Kore heard the last comment and kind of sunk into the sand. He had a feeling he was going to get in a lot of trouble following this one around but he had an attraction to him. Something in his senses said that this one would take him to the top of the pride and maybe even this village if they stayed together. What he didn't understand is why Baki was on the beach. Walking up to Baki he looked in his eyes almost asking "Why are you going?" What was all this craziness so soon. he was just get accustomed to the place and it was a state of chaos. On top of all that his pride leader was leaving.

Maya gave a grin, checking the bracelet thoroughly. He'd tied it well, so she wouldn't have to worry about it falling off. Good, because she'd already have enough on her mind trying to survive any opponent she might be fighting against. "When I get back, those shoes better be there," she almost threatened, though the very small smile on her face was a sign that she was moderately pleased he had agreed. He wasn't too bad after all. Kun'Kumo..? She hesitated, and then tugged on her hair. "Don't pick too many bones with the Kun'Kumo..." she said softly. It wasn't because she feared them... (ok maybe just a little bit, Kana HAD been set on killing her once), but more, she did have to fight on a squad with one of their clan members. "Kun'Kumo Kana is one of my squad members...so.." she trailed off, shrugging. She didn't particularly care, because she kenw there were two others running around, but she hadn't actually met them yet, so they weren't her problem. Ah well.
Baki eyed the color, liked it, and decided it would bode well with his golden brown coat. He lifted a heavy paw and rested it on Karite's chest easily, waiting for him to tie the thing around there, like he'd done to Maya. Baki sensed that Kore was beginning to get that little kick of stubbornness and cockiness that had caused him trouble in their mini wrestling match, but perhaps the cub would need it. Partners protected their partners, and if Baki didn't come back, it would fall on Kore, after all. Tonato had been a close call, and the scar on his muzzle did tell that story, but even so, Baki nipped Kore's ear. Because she needs me, the simply action seemed to say, and Baki's golden eyes shone with nothing but adoration for the girl who'd raised him since he was a cub.

Karite smiled as he began to tie the bracelet around Baki's paw. While still listening to Maya she said something about a Kun kumo he never heard of. Finishing tieing the bracelet he let go of Baki's paw. "You mean to tell me that there are more then one of those ego driven god complexes here? I could careless about the others though. Tanu is the one I want. She needs to be taught she is not queen of the world and that one day she is going to run into someone who is better and stronger then her." He knew he wasn't stronger then her but he had more then just strength and speed. He had brains. Something she didn't seem to use to well.
Kore looked at Baki and felt the n** on his ear, looking at Baki he knew that he was just as much Maya's protector as he was his. If that was the case with them did that mean he was Karite's protector? He had just met the boy but if they were to be connected in that form then of course it would have to be some kind of connection. Was it automatic or did it grow over time. Kore nodded at Baki as he molded this thought around in his head.

Maya swallowed hard and bit her tongue. Was she really going to say it...? "Kana's...not so bad I guess," she muttered, tugging on her hair. Listening, though, she realized that maybe this Tanu really did have some complex issues...hm.. "I wanna meet her," Maya decided, crossing her arms. The muscles in her body were toned and maybe this 'Tanu' would be a good sparring partner. There weren't many who could take a hit and keep going, especially from Maya, but the possibility of there being one made Maya eager to return. Not to mention the cubs at the grounds...but Karite would care for them. Maybe the clan wouldn't be so small, after all. Maya smiled at the thought, and realized that maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Baki at her side growled softly and stood, shaking himself off and glancing towards the docks. Would they be leaving soon? Maya stuck her hand out, and looked at Kore, then Karite. "Take care of the runt," she said almost gruffly, Shuga's attitude apparent.

Kiba's ears perked up when he heard the word 'war.' His interest was now thoroughly gained and he eagerly wanted to hear more. Though he could see little through the darkness (except for some movement of the lion that bothered him) he could hear fairly well and was easily able to pick out 'Kun Kumo." The young Raiken grinned with a rather ammused expression on his face as he heard one of the speakers start about Tanu specifficaly and her 'ego driven god complex.' He agreed that it was probably not a good idea to mess with the Kun Kumos, he just did it anyway! As the conversation gained interest to the young Raiken he tried to scoot just a little bit closer, who knows what he might hear next?
(Can I make this into an exercise?)

Seshiro arrived at the shoreline where everyone was gathering. There seemed to be quite a commotion there. He could spot Yuki, Natamo, Baki and Maya.. and there seemed to be another student there with Maya. Glancing well they seemed to be saying goodbye to each other. Seshiro untied the ponytail of dreadlocks he had and let his hair all loose fall into his face. It didnt bother him to have his long dreadlocks loose at night since it was cold this time of year.
Slowly he walked into the sand and awaited close to the others to arrive. Sachiriku was nowhere to be seen yet either and he was the one who was supposed to direct the assault.Pherhaps he was still preparing or just meditating the whole issue.. he seemed to be troubled of lately. Trying to keep this of his mind he looked towards Maya and he noticed she was still wearing the Black leather choker he had once given her. Just like his it was tatter from use but it made him feel warm inside.
"Hey Maya... I see you still got the old Choker eh? Dont you dare loose it on the mission will ya? It be a shame that after all it has been trough you lost it on a mission to my village"
While he spoke Seshiro took his hands to His own choker wich looked old as well. It had been a while since he had worned it and it was like hell of a coincidence he chose to wear it today. It seemed everything today was set up so that his planned departure from Shima was harder for him. He would sure miss a lot of stuff!
[ I love it when Rping comes together unintetionally. Just a while ago I Rpied Seshiro putting on his choker today. And as I read up i find it mentioned By Maya! so cool]

[Maya already spotted Kiba, Jong...]
Maya turned towards Seshiro - hadn't she just been thinking about him..? She gave a small smile, and shrugged. "If I lose it, you'll have to make me another," she responded, a sly look in her eyes. She stretched, wondering...where was her aunt? Crazy woman, always late...but so was Ichi. And lots of other people. Really, the only higher ranking shinobi on the shore was Yuki and the animal trainer. Maya sighed, scratching Baki's ears lightly and leaning against him. He was her comfort for now, and she wondered...would fighting against Orochi be different than fighting anyone else? Would she feel bad because technically, she would be fighting her big brother's clan...? Maya sighed, and tugged on her hair. Hm...it was getting longer than she realized...maybe she should cut it...
Maya wished to herself that she could see Xyn before leaving, but he was probably sleeping. Ah well...she shivered slightly, her bare feet sinking in the sand. Ah...she hadn't thought ahead. It would probably be cold where they were going...and her normal (read: tattered and worn) clothes would probably be useless there. She grunted, realizing maybe she should have hunted something before going...she could have made at least shoes out of a pelt. Damn.

Karite smiled as Sheiro came he had not meet the boy but knew he must have a relation to Shisei. Which meant he was no threat. He was a friend of Maya as well. "Look, Maya I am going to take Kore back to the grounds and catch some Z's me and the cubs are going to be up early to catch up on some needed training to stop Tanu into a less cocky persona. I promise though that if things get out of hand I will keep Kore and Ruha from harm. The last thing I need is Baki's Jaws around my neck." Picking up Kore and waving good bye to Maya and Baki. Karite ran off towards the grounds looking forward to the rising of the sun. He would run, climb and dive in order to win against Tanu. He was no pretender. He was the real thing. Turning now running backwards he yelled into the crisp night air. "You better come back or I will find you, and when I do you wont like the outcome." With those words linger in the air Karite disappeared out of the moons glow towards his temporary home.

Yuki tried not to cringe at the thought of red hair, but would voice her opinion nether the less. "Its quite eccentric to say the least. I prefer my natural hair color," Tenmoki said to the woman as he tried to turn her attention away from her and hope that Ichi and Sachiriku were on there way over the hill from the village. It wasn't that Yuki didn't like Natamo, because the Tenmoki woman actually did like the animal tamer. At least more than the other kunoichi of the village... Yuki just didn't like to hold long conversations with her.

Natamo chuckled softly and brushed her hair back. "But Yuki, you have beautiful hair," she said with a smile. She left it at that, though, and turned away from Yuki. For some reason her conversations with the medical kunoichi never lasted very long, though Natamo didn't have a problem with that. She watched with interest as a boy scampered off with a lion cub (one of Shuga's?) and then turned her attention to the lion still there. A great beast, a fine specimen. His partner was ok, she guessed, but the girl was a little scrawny...maybe she was just wiry? Maybe Natamo was just gaining weight so it seemed the girl was small. She patted her belly and laughed. "Definitely going to have to look into a partner," she said mostly to herself, though she still wondered what sort of beast she would tame. Not too young, she didn't want to babysit after all...but it would be best to form a strong bond. It was something to consider. She had to raise the ocelot kittens after all, so raising a third animal wouldn't be too much more trouble. Might as well.

The gentle splashing of the waves had sung the young Raiken to sleep. His nap lasted for only a few minutes until he rolled over onto a rock and quickly woke. He nearly rubbed his eyes out of habit, but quickly stopped himself as he realised how sandy his hands had gotten. As he regained complete consciousness he spotted Yuki. A bead of cold sweat ran down his face. If she sees me she might think I'm spying and am up to something... He sighed as he decided, in addition to how late it was, that it was probably time to leave the shoreline. Given the fact that he had not uncovered anything of particular interest it was not very hard for him to go. He really did not know where he was headed he just sort of left. Since he figured that such high ranking shinobi would notice him leaving even if he tried hi best to not be detected he decided to just cassually, and rather conspicuously walk across the sand and leave. He just hoped that no one would stop him and ask him what he had been doing.

Z nodded absentmindedly as Tomoko left and suggested that Z do the same. He would leave soon but he just wanted to get a tiny bit more done. His training had been a failure so far. He was getting increasingly sick of Kiba beating him at everything and this stupid training wasn't helping his self esteem one bit. After a few more minutes of concentration he sighed and gave up. With a yawn he waved good-bye to the people who seemed to have concentrated to the beach while he hadn't been paying attention and began to walk home.

Forming your chakra in a genjutsu state is a difficult process to understand. By using the ram seal you bring your chakra out around your body like a cloud of smoke.

Approaching the docks at the shoreline where shinobi were gathering for a rather important mission, Ichi walked alone up to Natamo and Yuki with his hands in his pockets. He had been accompanied by Sukotto earlier, but the boy had stopped to grab a bit to eat before coming down to the docks. There had also been two others that Ichi had bumped into along the way. One person had been carrying a scroll which was a secret document from the Kun Kumo clan requesting that Kana return to the village to study under their clan's teachings. The other was Aya, who Ichi had asked to accompany Kana to the Fire Country as a representative of Shimagakure and to also deliver a letter to the leader of the Kun Kumo's. That would mean they were two short for this mission... "Good evening," Ichi said with a warm smile to both Yuki and Natamo. He took note of the others around as well; Seshiro, Baki and Maya. There was also Naru, who was missing his fearless leader, Meho Dhan. They were also missing Sachiriku, Akuyiro, Sukotto and Kane. The Kage had thought that he was late...

The food stand that Sukotto's taste had developed the most interest in had somewhat of a line at it, causing him to lag behind Ichi a little more than expected. He found it quite odd that the villagers of Shimagakure were stocking up on supplies at such a late hour and wondered if it had anything to do with the large-scale mission that the shinobi were embarking on. As he arrived, he noticed that most of the others were interacting with each other and he had a bit of trouble when it came to entering such a situation, so the Uchiha merely stood by himself. He figured that if anyone wanted to talk or see how he was doing, they would come forth. If not, he wouldn't mind so much, considering that he hadn't done the same.
In the process of waiting for the journey to begin, Sukotto allowed his mind to wander a bit. He had been training quite a bit for the short time that was available to him after the mission on Haha Island, but still felt as if he wasn't quite confident enough to take on an opponent again. He had increased his chakra level, but it definitely wasn't as vast as he would have hoped for it to be. Additionally, he had worked a lot on his speed, but none on his taijutsu training. His best bet for defeating an opponent would be to hit them with one big shot of ninjutsu, and that would render him nearly useless, since his chakra wasn't up to spec. Sukotto sighed a nervous breath as the wait for the commencement of the Orochi mission continued to slowly linger on.

Seshiro could See the Tension growing over everyone here gathered. It was as if the oxygen breathed by everyone ,once exhaled became tension. It was present in every face of the young ones. There was no mistake they all seemed determined and ready to do what they must but tension was still there.
Seshiro then noticed the pressence of Ichi at last. So the time wascming near. Now the other most important missing was Sachiriku.. Last thing he knew Sachiriku was gathering some stuff to guide everyone into the action, or so he said. Around the area a short time later came Sukotto. Seshiro was expecting to see him since he was his squad partner since the beggining an now his partner in mision. He walked towards hm tryng to see how was he feeling at the moment. He could never read Sukotto well so pherhaps thats why he like hi so much and at the same time felt the urge to simply battle it out with him.
" So, red eye, How are you feeling? Think your ready to get a test drive of what would be a fight against me?"
He smiled at Sukotto trying to look sure of himself and to loosen up the tension around the place.Sukotto owed him a fight so this would definately be a training mission for Suko. He would see what Figthing an Orochi would be like giving him an edge if they ever fought against one another since he would already have sen some of Seshiro's techniques... yet this only made Seshiro happy in a way...all in the name of a good challenge...then again it would be along time till they met again.
