I'll actually be playing quite a few, but they'll be brought in gradually and won't have profiles posted immediately upon their entrance. They're really more or less situations and plot devices for your characters to react to than characters in a really meaningful sense, though; however, they might get more coverage if I make a comic about this.

I'm really interested in joining this. I do need a bit of time to spawn up a character, so I'd say by the end of the day I should have a profile posted. I could have one up in a few hours or so too, depending on when my brain starts working.
I also want to ask, Morael, if this gets up and running or whenever it ends, would you be interested in co-operating something similar in plot but with a few changes, or an extension to it? I've had a storyline in my head for about two years now, and the setting you have here is eerily similar in some ways.

O_o I've been thinking on this story for almost two years now, too. I'm certain our plots differ in some key areas, though; but yeah, I'd be interested in doing a similar story or sequel/side story.
I'd really love to discuss the two ideas, but I'd like to keep some things underwraps until a certain point in the plot (like until late Act 1 or early Act 2).
I'm thinking of limiting Scenes to five pages' worth of posts; that way, we'll move things along and not lag, but there'd be enough time to develop and interact and fight (if need be on that last one).

Morael: I'll try to work in something more concrete in the history about her hard heart. It is entirely to do with her upbringing. An absentee father and workaholic mother would have caused her to spend most of her time alone, and therefore she would have little in the way of good emotional role-models. But I could probably work that into the profile.
EDIT: I have succeeded.

AEDIFICIUM NAME: Juliet Masterson AGE: 25 GENDER: Female PERSONALITY: Juliet is not a Capulet. She dislikes romance, and finds it to be a general waste of time. On the surface, her concerns for the current world are few and far between. She enjoys spending time with her extremely large computer, and eating microwaveable food. She also enjoys diving into the personal lives of others, and knowing secrets she shouldn't know. Juliet cannot cook. Juliet also cannot clean, with the exception of her computer. Juliet prefers to shower at night, not morning, and her preferred shampoo scent is coconut.
Juliet will not be moved to participate in real world activities unless she or her computer are threatened. Juliet might be moved to what is defined as “rebellious activity” if provoked by OmniNet and CHOIR's intense security measures. Juliet has been provoked.
APPEARANCE: Standing at a total of five feet, Juliet does not possess the required coordination to wear shoes with heels over one inch in height. Her green eyes are eternally widened due to exposure to the brilliant lighting of each and every one of her computer monitors. She doesn't receive an extreme amount of light from the sun, so yes, that platinum is her natural hair color. She is not petite; she isn't obese, but she does wear size XL for a reason.
Her platinum blond hair is cropped short around her chin, in an edgy bob with blunt bangs. Strangely fashionable for a technology fueled recluse, a constant accessory is a pair of pilot goggles resting across her forehead. She likes bright colors, and it shows in her usual wardrobe: neon orange and black leggings under baggy khaki capris, bright green tennis shoes, and a hot pink hooded sweater are just a few of the things she has dumpster dived for. Dumpster, meaning second hands from unsuspecting victims who have accessible addresses and door lock codes on OmniNet. It isn't stealing, it's lesson teaching.
MEMORIA HISTORY: Juliet's father was a programmer, while her mother was an elementary school teacher. They were a typical US family, a mixture of European blood. While they didn't enjoy family dinners together or watch sports games on TV, they were still relatively close.
Juliet received her first computer from her father, an early model laptop his company had been willing to throw away. She showed an unbelievable knack for code, creating the first traditional “hello world” program within a day of accessing the console. After the completion of “hello world” to ensure good luck for programmers, Juliet had a traumatic experience.
She overloaded the server bandwidth allowed for her neighborhood block in a total of five minutes. The quickly coming to power CHOIR was at her family's door in an hour, to ask her a number of-at the time-confusing questions. This was her first CHOIR encounter.
Years later, she ran into trouble again, with the uploading of OmniNet. With the mandatory connections of everyone, it was an advantage to those who could take information of others, but a huge disadvantage: hackers could be easily tracked through the Net. POSITION: Freelance Programmer. At least, as “free” as freelance can be in the day and age. She doesn't work for CHOIR or the Unified Government without receiving pay. She does, however, lend her skills to the uprising rebellion for the simple price of a promise to physically destroy the OmniNet terminal. REASON: Juliet doesn't like world unison. She much prefers to hack in peace, thank you very much, no questions asked. Oh, and she would love to be able to own as much bandwidth as she very well pleases without being interrogated for it.
EXTERNUS OTHER: Juliet has never read Shakespeare. She gets a kick out of animated porn and likes poppy annoying theme songs. Her brain might be made of cotton candy. PLAYER NAME: Descending_Angel
Well, there she is... I'm always really bad with making histories, I hope that all rolls out okay.
And yes Kou, you're my super stalker. <3 If I weren't flattered I'd be terrified.

stratigo: Don't worry about your posts in this thread; I want it to be more relaxed, so you're fine! But thank you for making those corrections, and congratulations for having the first male rebel character. 3nodding
Kou: Her history really benefits from the addition. Thank you for doing that.
D-Angel: There's very little wrong with your profile in general (except that eighth sentence in the Personality field--it should be "is" instead of "are" because both objects are singular). I like your writing style and the character in general, so consider yourself accepted.
Right, then, I'll start up the actual thread today. Neither threads will be stickied for a little bit, though, so take a look towards the bottom of the page if you can't find them.

AEDIFICIUM NAME: Tobias Blake AGE: 44 GENDER: male PERSONALITY: Tobias is a fairly quiet, bookish man, just vain enough to not wear the glasses that he knows he should. He is dedicated to helping people by whatever means he has at his disposal and, as a qualified lawyer, these means are generally legal in nature. He was originally supportive of the CHOIR group, believing that perhaps capitalism could succeed in solving the world's ills where diplomacy had failed. However, as a lawyer he long ago realised that corporations can lie almost as a matter of course and so is responsive and sympathetic to the renegade factions whilst maintaining his belief that at the moment he can do the most good from where he is. This belief is partially genuinely held and partially because he is old enough to realise it would be hard for him to find another job that pays well enough to support a family of 5 adequately. All in all Tobias can most accurately be described as a pragmatic do-gooder.
APPEARANCE: He is a couple of inches shy of 6 foot. He has mid brown hair cut neatly and conservatively but is starting to go grey, much to his horror. He has blue eyes and occaisionally wears black or steel-rimmed glasses, mainly to foster an increased impression of intellegence and seniority. Whilst he is not an athlete he is reasonably trim through practicing fencing, a sport he grew to love at university and has played ever since. He dresses conservatively in well tailored, moderately expensive dark suits, two piercing holes in his left ear the only remnants of youthful rebellion that he has long since grown out of
MEMORIA HISTORY: Born in London, England in 1975, long before the advance of the CHOIR group he grew up with images of starving children in Africa and a family who had grown up in the privity of the second world war. His Grandfather had lost both legs fighting in the war and this combined gave him a determination to always do the right thing no matter what the consequences, although as a father he is now more concerned about the welfare of his children.
He studied law and gained a upper second class honours (roughly a 3.5 GPA I'd guess) finally qualifying as a lawyer in 1999. He spent 9 years practicing privately before joining the CHOIR group as an in-house adviser in 2008 on the death of his first wife since then he has steadily worked his way up the ranks.
He married his first wife, Thea, in 2002 and their first daughter, Alex, was born in 2004 followed by his son Mark in 2006. In mid 2007 Thea died in a car accident prompting Tobias's move to the CHOIR group due to their provision of benefits for the children of employees. In 2010 he met his second wife Alice, employed as a receptionist and administrative co-ordinator by CHOIR, and they married in 2011 this was followed by the birth of his youngest daughter, Tara, in 2012. POSITION: One of the Deputy heads of the legal department in the corporation's London offices. He is in charge of providing legal assistance to employees of the corporation where they are cited in private civil cases. REASON: He is staying with the corporation at the moment in the belief that he can do more good on the inside than the outside and to protect his family although he does have some sympathy for the rebels.
EXTERNUS OTHER: He has two daughters aged 15 and 7 and a son aged 13. He is currently married to his second wife who is the mother of his youngest daughter. PLAYER NAME: belfire86
