Kara continued to throw up. She supposed it was a side effect of Neila using both her powers and also the powers she stole from someone else. After awhile she began to feel better. She washed her face and brushed her teeth and went back to the living room. Lil thought about it for a second. "No i believe this is a fireslinger burn. Remember my brother is a fireslinger and so i've delt with these burns before. And from what Kara told me she said that this Neila person had somehow managed to steal fireslinger powers from the previous person she had controled." Lil told Core. She saw Kara come back in and went to her. She put a hand on Kara's stomach and concentrated. "Hm. I think you might need some food and energy." She told Kara. Kara shook her head. "No..... No way am i going out to get the energy i need." She said while shaking her head.

" Exactly , " replied Core , " an enchanter . One that has picked up an ability from a previous host . "
Core watched Kara as she came in , and sheepishly smiled at her . " Friends again ? " she asked carefully .

Lil sighed. "Kara. You need energy or your body won't be back to normal. Taking that ghost out of your body caused damage. Normally i would be able to fix that but your a special case. I've known or a while now what you do. And believe me. If you want your body back to normal you need the energy you gain from other people." She told Kara. She then turned back to Core. "Fine. Maybe it was an enchanter maybe it wasn't. But we don't know. That person is gone and i say good riddence." She said before going into the kitchen to find something to eat. Kara stood opened mouthed at Lil. Lil never ever acted like this. She heard her cell phone ring and answered. After a few moments her mouth dropped open. She nodded then shut her cell phone. "Jez. Lets not upset her anymore. Or we will regret it." She told Core. Then she nodded. "Yeah friends" She replied happily. Shade finally woke up and looked at his sister. He smiled. "You've grown up good." He told her.

Core hugged Kara once before going into the kitchen .
" Is there a problem with the situation ? " she asked carefully . Most healers where very laid back people . It comes with the calming energy .

Madeline came into the unlocked apartment in full drama queen attitude . " Ugh , " she moaned , while cracking her neck , " well that was less than pleasant . "
She sat down on the couch Core had occupied a moment before . Her clothes were torn and she had a faint scar on her left arm . The black smears on her face were what was left of her makeup , and her white hair lacked all body as it lay soaked , pressed against her face . Most of her clothing was torn , except for her leather knee high boots and matching half-gloves .
" And it still stinks of that bleeding Lycan in here . "

Kara sighed. "That was Josh on the phone. He told me that Lil is pregnant." She told Core. She saw Madeline come in and sit on the couch. She turned to face her. "If you don't like the smell then leave. I welcome any type of person here. Be it vampire or lycan." She told Madeline before going into her room. She searched through the closet and found two soft black blouse and two pairs of jeans. She then searched again and came out with two black satin dresses. Jeez. She needed to broaden her color selection. She went back to the living room. She put the cloths on the table there. "Hey. You and Core can pick either one of these outfits. I don't care." She said before returning to her room and finding a red sleeveless satin low cut dress. She sighed. She really needed to go shopping for normal clothes. After changing she went back out. Shade smiled as his sister came and went from the living room. "Hey Kar. You have anything that might fit me?" He asked her. He didn't think so but it couldn't hurt to ask.

Madeline did a snickering laugh once before picking up the satin dress . Changing in the bathroom , she came out with the tight cocktail dress , ending mid-thigh .
" Are we celebrating a job well done ? " she asked sarcastically .

Kara shook her head and sighed. "Not really. I have no other clothes to give you cause i seem to have either torn up or lost the other clothes. Plus i keep forgetting to go shopping." She told Madeline. "I can't even find a normal shirt which is really scaring me cause i normally don't wear fancy stuff unless there is an occasion. Which means someone was messing with my wardrobe." She added. She looked at her brother. "Actually i have a leather jacked in there that might fit you." She told him. When he nodded she went and got it.

" Messing with your wardrobe ? Must be your lack of security , " said Madeline spitefully , reminding Kara of their first encounter .
She lay down on the couch , dramatizing her exasperation . " We should go kill something . Or , study something difficult , " Dye added , eying Kara . She was still consumed by the thought of the girl`s power .

Kara shook her head. "I've always locked the door since you first came. It was unlocked when you came in a few minutes ago cause i knew you would show up here after what happened back in the fountain area." She told Madeline. She then shook her head when she heard what Madeline said about hunting. "No i'm not hunting." She said fiercely.

" To science it is ! " she shouted , followed by a maniacal laughter . What she did next had proven that in the midst of the fight , she had truly lost her mind . Or at least , the sensible part .
Using the powers given to her by her maker and lover , she lifted up the glass vase that held some bamboo . This object was in the bedroom , so no one paid much notice to it .
Until it came hurling towards Kara /

Kara shook her head. Until out of the corner of her eye she saw the vase. She put up a barrier around herself that shielded her from the vase. She didn't know how she did it. It came to her naturally. "What the heck Madeline. What was that for?" She asked Madeline. She turned and yelled into the kitchen. "Core!! Come and get your crazy friend before she does something else!!" She told Core.

Core heard her name being called , and was shot out of distraction . She was having a silent conversation with Lil about her child . Not psychic , just not verbal .
Running into the living room , she noticed the broken glass on the floor , and Madeline`s crazed stare . Reaching for her swiftly , she grabbed onto her arm and tried shaking her to her senses .
" What was that ? " she asked , on the verge of shrieking .

Kara shook her head. "I don't know. She just used her powers and shot that at me for some reason." She told Core. Just then she felt a sharp pain spike through her spine. She cried out and fell over. Shade heard Kara scream out and came shooting out of the bathroom. "Kara!!" He said as he rushed over to her. "What happened?" He asked Core.

Madeline smiled widely as her eyes hazed over . This was what she wanted . With Core distracted , she easily got out of her grip , and was soon kneeling over Kara . An invasion of Kara`s mind was Dye`s goal , and this was her chance .
To study was to learn .
To learn was the grow .
And to grow ....
" Brings power , " Dye whispered .
