Panic set in and running made more sense that being gulped down and swallowed like some kind of dessert. But the thump of heavy footsteps was not as close, it was much better than being right behind him, promising nothing but pain. But the stomping was not as audible as th esounds of chatter that came from behind. happy chatter and laughter as if the denizens of the woods was already over the danger and went back to being quirky. It didn't sound the same, it was, warmer and not a broken record of one liners. A moment of judgement was called and he was questioning how smart it would be to go and look for the owner of these voices. With a nod of affirmation to not be stupid, he pressed on, away from all the sounds there. no stomping nor happy strange chatter. KingREX wanted the trees back. [ The Chase Part 3] - Try 2 Harlow was going as fast as she could, trying to clear through and push through as many things as she could. She turned back for a moment to see if it was close behind her, as she prepared to turn though and she stumbled a little. she looked back up toward what was in front of her and she was suddenly faced with forked road. [ THE CHASE PART 2 ] With the promise of death by Teeth, RavenousDelirium kicked his a** into high gear and managed, after a short bit, to outrun the horrifying thing. He couldn't help but think, 'Now I know what my prey feels like!' as he continued running away from the monster. He could still hear footsteps and knew it wasn't safe to stop...if it ever would be again. Tugley Wood was extremely strange, so it wasn't really a surprise when he started hearing voices. What was a surprise, however, was that the voices were extremely familiar - the voices he wanted to hear most - needed to hear. He shook his head - no, death lay in that direction. This had to be a trap! The creature was doing it..somehow. Mouth decided then and there he wasn't going to stop, not for any of those voices...not even for the one mimicking his twin. Running was nice, almost therapeutic, but choices while trying to flee was something much more strenuous that what he would have liked. Left or right, thankfully he noted there was no arrows pointing up or in some asinine direction that made no sense. Left it was and the item that was there on the road was now shoved into his pocket.
