I believe the culprits were 2ch. No idea who exactly.

I didn't see the faked leaks, but here's hoping that the Fire starter turns out to be a type combination that's NOT Fire/Fighting. I already raised Blaziken and Blaziken 2 Infernape, so I'd like a little more variety there.

Skaeryll
Grass could very well end as Grass/Dragon and the water being Water/Ice.

I don't see Grass/Dragon happening. They only add a few Dragon types each gen, and the ones that aren't legendaries are either rare/lategame pokémon and/or require considerably more levelgrinding than usual. Handing you a pokémon at the beginning of the game that turns into a dragon around level 16/early 30's doesn't fit that trend.

Especially if the other starter is Water/Ice. Ice attacks already unbalance the Grass-Fire-Water triangle enough; the last thing it needs is STAB Ice Beams.

I could see the Fire-Grass-Water Triangle taken to a new depth with a Dark-Psychic-Fighting subtype triangle

There does look a possibility of Grass/Psychic and Fire/Dark.

I haven't liked either odd-numbered generation.
Yes, I didn't like Kanto, shoot me.
This one looks better than Johto.

The only reason I loved Crystal was because of the 16 badges, lots of Pokemon, and Shuckle.

Hoenn brought Double Battles, Abilities, Sableye, the Battle Frontier, and Zangoose. All of those were loved.

Sinnoh was meh. Not very different, not very similar. It was an odd phase for Pokemon, in my opinion. It also brought Bidoof. HAET.
