Atomic Marshmallows
“Of course.” Aiva said, turning around. She pulled out a strand of hair and held it out for Damiono to take. She wasn’t exactly sure where he was going with this, but perhaps it was some kind of tracking spell. Either way Aiva was happy to comply. The sooner she was out of the passageways the better.

"Thank you Aiva. Now, to work my magic..." Damiano voice trailed off as he took the strand of hair carefully. He plucked one of his own without so much as a wince. His concentration was on the spell in his mind. The words formed on the tip of his tongue, the silky, spidery words of magic. They slithered over his tongue and took their eerie flight into the air, to be heard by all who were within range. The ancient words of magic, an arcane dialect known to the magi of the world, were coming to life.

His eyes shut; his ears went deaf to all but the words, the magic. Damiano was within himself, watching as the power formed from within and without. He felt himself stand and shift. His arms whirred in a slow motion, the two hairs, Aiva's and his own, were safely caught between either of his hands. He felt the warmth of the magic flow. The words of the spell formed at his lips as all the components came together. Verbal, somatic, material, they were his, he was the magic, the magic was his life.
"Dal potere della lingua antica, invoco la magia; Riveli!"

The words came as a soft hiss though the power in them boomed loudly. A wave of invisible energy, the power of all magic, struck Damiano from within. He held himself steady as the ecstasy took him amid the pain. His hands burned with a fury he seldom knew as he began to feel the power of the magic grow. He could feel the peek of the spell approaching, it was upon him all so soon. Quickly he completed the spell and slammed his hands, palms open, against the map they had been given. The map burst into green flames and Damiano's hands went black. He felt the magic ebb from him and, as quickly as it all happened, everything went black.

He was still conscious, the spell had been relatively tame, a cantrip and nothing more. His hands were not burned, though he brushed the ash that was on them. The map, however, had been singed by the flames at the corners. Its surface remained unharmed, unaltered except for the two new points of green and violet light located near each other in one of the passages. Damiano sighed in relief, the spell had worked.

"There. Where those two flames stand is where we stand. As we move, they too will move. We are close to the Brantalis' study, just another few turns and we'll be right across from it. Just remember that, by now, the imperial guards will be after us as well, just as Brantalis assumed. We must tread carefully from now on."

((The spell is relatively weak, as you can tell. The reason why I set up so much effect was simply to give some added description. Most of what was described should be taken as what Damiano felt while casting the spell, and now what actually happened. The green flames? Yeah, those happened. It was the binding part of the spell.))

((Well, at this point I've already assumed that since Damiano is a Maghi Anima he has been trained very thoroughly, and probably in a different method than most spellcasters. To me it seems as though visualization and feeling a deeper connection to his magic, and the magic around him, are part of the way that he casts. Whereas Sai was trained to draw directly from his own well of energy and that since it his his own energy it his his to command. And to command it quickly and powerfully, though with the least effort required.

Alright back to the topic of telepathic range... Each of our creatures has a telepathic range. Let's say that an average range(the average applying to a creature without magical talent) is 100 meters(this may not be the actual case, I'm just using a 'for instance'). Our creatures would be able to communicate from up to 199.99continuously meters apart, because there would have to be a slight overlap in their range. Now if Creature A were to direct their telepathy at Creature B's binding stone it would redirect their telepathy directly to Creature B despite Creature A not knowing where Creature B is. The ranges are taken into effect in this case as well, Creature B's range would be broken into distance to the stone that they are using to redirect through, and then distance from the stone to Creature A. There would, again, have to be an overlap with Creature A's range from the redirected range from the stone.

Now, I think that the ranges should be decided on the magical power of the creature. Based on that Tura would most likely have the longest range of any of our creatures. Her magical prowess seems to be exponentially larger than any of our other bound creatures. I do not believe that we have seen any of the rest of our creatures cast at all though, so I haven't the slightest inkling as to their magical prowess, or it could be that the rest of our creatures have no magical talent.

Oh, and I'm gonna have to say that if they cannot see the stone or the creature then they cannot communicate directly to a creature that they do not know is there. This is mostly for reasons of stealth. If a creature could sense out another creature simply by them being a creature then that would make stealth near impossible for a creature. Instead, if a creature has a need to communicate with a creature that they do not know the location of, then they can use a general telepathy and speak to all creatures within their range.

Let me know what you guys all think about this...))

((Going a little backwards in time to make this post and borrows the guards from Griffin.))

Raidek walked out of the store, a gourd of pure alcohol tied at his waist, and his stash of coin a little smaller. His mask the same pure white as before, but now it had dark rings around the eyes and a blood red streak that started on the left side of his forehead, moving down over his where his nose would be, and cutting to the right of his mouth where it stopped. He began to walk back towards the castle, lifting his mask up slightly for a moment to put a piece of jerky in his mouth. Then shortly after, an explosion erupted against his ear drums.

Raidek has started to pick up the pace, his slow walk bursting into a sprint.

I'm need to get there faster, I can't miss this. Raidek leaped into the air. Proventus vis. He shot high into the air, the castle nearing. Just then he saw what looked to be Sai come out from one of the castles windows. Shortly after, he saw the red of the imperial guard file out after him.

Whats going on? Raidek couldn't help but notice the ever nearing ground, and the ever nearing castle. He reached for his chained scythe and whipped it out towards the castle, the sharp blade finding a groove in the wall to hold onto as he flew past the corner it was sunk into. A moment later, he was jerked violently back and swung, finding himself hanging against the castle wall. “Hmm...this could be a problem.”

With that Raidek climbed up the chain and got grips on the wall, the best he could before removing the blade from the side of the castle. Slowly, he climbed down the wall, a few minutes later Fenrir trotted towards his position. Close enough to the ground now, Raidek jumped landing on the soft grass below.

Fenrir growled slightly. Raidek held out his palm the binding stone clear to anyone who paid attention; Fenrir walked up to him, the black fur of his head pushing against his palm, appearing to slowly turn into dark smoke as he walked against his hand, almost as if the giant wolf was walking into the stone.I know you don't want to, but we need to be discrete. With that he moved back towards the village, rain drops soon falling down upon him. “Interesting...”

It had been a while and he watched from a near by rooftop as Gregor gave his small speech before heading out after Sai. Your heading north...I won't forget that. He looked at the six that remained in the village, paying special attention to the man clearly Gregor's second in command.

It hadn't been long and Isaad gave the order to round up the other combatants and the sage. Raidek's eyes narrowed. The hell you will. He watched as five of the imperials moved toward the castle, They must be going to the sage first. Raidek followed, watching them move in a column towards the castle, completely ignoring the crowd.

As the five imperials reached the courtyard in front of the castle he made his attack. With his hook swords drawn, he swung, hooking part of the rear guards neck. The end of the sword pierced through his skin and into his esophagus as Raidek pulled back, the blade ripped open the guards throat in a bloody visage. The next guard took notice, turning in time for Raidek's second hook sword to come across his throat, splitting it wide open. He followed the blow with a kick that sent the dying imperial into the one in front of him. Pushing forward to strike as the third lost his balance one of the guards shot a spell at him, blasting of part of his mask. Raidek then dropped the swords and leapt forward at the guard who had cast the spell, “Silicis polus!” Rock formed around his wrist, extending over his hand for two feet before coming to a point. As he neared the guard, Raidek thrusted out his hand, the rock punched through the imperials chest and out the otherside. The guard dropped to his knees, blood flowing over the rocky lance made by Raidek's arm. He stood there looking at the remaining to guards breathing heavy, his body riddled with blood. The remaining two guards had put some distance between them and him, a twisted smile could be seen, just barely due to the damaged mask. "Is that all you imperial pigs got, I'm quite disappointed."

((Give the remaining guards back to Griffin thanks for letting me use them in my post. Originally I had intended this to be a much larger post, seeing as I haven't posted in forever. However, after retyping the post like eight different times on numerous different computers, I just decided to say "I chose this one." I might have made some mistakes with events that have already happened and or are happening...this is because when I got myself caught up, I read pretty fast and not everything made it into my thought process. Anyway, its good to be back.))

Aiva nodded, and clutched the silver key in her hands tightly. The fact that the guards were probably searching for them was slightly unnerving. The imperial guards had to be somewhat powerful, after they couldn’t be where they were if they were weak. She looked at the map and studied it, memorizing the next few turns they’d have to take. She turned and began walk down the corridor. Even though this predicament had just started she couldn’t help but wonder how all of this would end. Would the imperial guard end up killing them and succeed at with their plans, or would Brantalis and the small group of combatants that knew of the situation defeat the guards? Either way it was inevitable that there would be deaths. When I came here I would’ve never though that something like this would happen…

"Good, because I'd be pretty useless right now anyways..." Sai said, somewhat downcast and grim. "You're right too, we need rest. And resting is all I can do for now. Tomorrow, we'll help our friends, and anybody else that needs it.

Stratus thought to him.

Sai thought and relaxed. He would be asleep in moments.

((Ladies and Gents, seems I have a few problems with my post and it may or may not be drastically different by the time I'm done editing it. Damiano took up the map from the ground and watched as Aiva's flame moved along the map. He grinned, pleased with his work, and followed her. He noted how quiet the secret corridor was and wondered if this silence was somehow echoed throughout the castle. It was chilling and eerie, not being able to hear anything save for his own footsteps mixing with those of the lady magus in front of him. He was sure they were making enough noise to bring the whole castle on them.
Arkanathalasana mentally projected. Almost immediately Damiano's thoughts calmed. He was once again in control. He thanked his companion mentally for saving him from another overwhelming lapse of emotions. In silence, he continued to follow Aiva and his map.

((Alright, I promised a post with Isaad and here it comes. Before I make the post though I should say that I'm very confused. I went back and read over or at least skimmed the last three pages of this thread trying to figure out what is going on in relation to who. And I'm still not sure on everything. So far as I understand Sai, Vilya, and Kin are off in the middle of nowhere. Kajiin is on his way to the village. Aruhl headed north is no longer a problem for the time being. Damiano and Aiva are crawling around in the walls. Lamen is in the square in front of the castle with Kusanagi. Minatsuki is trying to figure out how to contact Lamen without attracting attention from the guards. Raidek is slaughtering some of the guards. And I honestly have no idea where Isaad is... Alright, I looked again and I think that he's in the courtyard of the castle. Alright, here goes...))

"No! What are you doing!? This isn't going to help. This will only make things worse." Brantalis said from where he stood on the opposite side of the remaining Imperial Guards from Raidek.

The two remaining Guards drew their swords from the sheaths on their hips. They stood in stances that were clearly more prepared to defend than to attack. Both seemed wary of this blood coated man who had just slain three of their comrades in moments and still stood with his impromptu weapon through the chest of his last victim.

Aruhl stood there and contemplated on the events of today so far, and the repercussions that may inevitably follow.

Commander Aruhl will be pleased once we have suppressed this village. The council will also be pleased. They have all been quite upset that Brantlis has not submitted to complete Imperial rule these last many years. This was Aruhls mission but he turned command over to me in order to hunt and capture the boy that had murdered the man in the castle and caused the chaos that followed. As long as he was able to establish and maintain a firm grasp of control on this village until more Guard units arrived all would be well.

Suddenly Isaad was jolted from his reverie by the sound of a man shouting, and from very close by. From where his men were! He bolted into a dash across the courtyard. He sprinted around a corner that would lead to the square in front of the castle and came upon a scene of violence, blood, and death. The farthest back from him stood Brantalis, white faced and still shackled, fortunately. The next furthest were two of his men, red clothed and blades drawn in a defensive posture. Next was what shocked him to the core. A single man, drenched in blood, standing over the freshly slain bodies of the other three men that had been left to him. Two with their heads very nearly severed and the third being held off the ground by the stalactite that protruded over this new murderers arm and through his chest.

"Murderous b*****d!" Isaad yelled out in a flash of rage which cooled back to icy calm in an instant. "I will slay you for this now, and save myself the paperwork of arresting you. Your sentence would be death anyways, this just saves us the time it would take to transport you to the capitol. Prepare for your death."

Isaad drew his blade from its sheath at his left hip and lunged forward, his sword point aimed for his opponents heart. He was not one to take chances though and was already forming the words of a blasting spell as he lunged. Should his sword miss his spell would take the criminal full in the chest. He whispered the words, so as not to waste breath and also to not give his enemy more warning than was necessary. "Ignis percussum."

((This RP isn't going anywhere fast neutral . I know stating it doesn't help, but there isn't much else to say. I'm a little stuck until Atomic Marshmallows posts, as it is. I just hope this place doesn't go under... I was having fun sad .))

((I'm still here, and so are creed_,aster and gigashadow(I think...), it's the others that have up and disappeared on us... Everybody's waiting on posts from somebody, I was trying to remedy that situation by taking control of Isaad for now... Still waiting on creed to respond to that, I think he's coming over tonight, so I'll smack him around a bit and get him to make a post. We need Griffin, Mythee, Blood, and Atomic to come back to full activity again though...))

((Well, I know Griffin is doing a bit of a London trip this summer, followed by moving out of the province toward the end. She may be inactive for a while. I have no clue about Mythee, though she has been preparing for Anime North for the past bit... and I think she also had exams before that. With luck, though, she'll be able to return now that it's all over.))

((Good to know, if late. So Griffin may be gone all summer? That's not something I wanted to hear. We may not have a choice but to write her out temporarily if she's going to be gone for that long. Now I just need to get creed and gigashadow to start posting again. And I need to figure out where Blood and Atomic have gone...))
