Eternal Ida
HP: 8
Action: attacking the generator and clinging to life
Damage 6 +7(rank) +2(magic) = 15
Location: F6

They were making a difference… the generator was slowly falling apart under their repeated attacks. The crack of ice hit it with a satisfying sound as another senshi, one she thought she recognized, landed a hard blow to it with his magic. If they could just keep this up, maybe they could actually bring it down. She could see other generators had gone down across the field and each time, the Negaverse seemed to lose some of its morale. They just had to keep going. Keep fighting…

But they weren’t there yet, and a tall figure in black robes came at her out of the melee. HIs sword flashed as he brought it up and the force of it slashing down threw her back. Ida slammed into the ground, feeling all the wind knocked out of her and she rolled wildly, trying to avoid a second attack. It came from a direction she wasn’t expecting as the general she had attacked earlier slammed his pic into her side, throwing her back again. Blood turned the white of her fuku red beneath the cut bow on her chest, her hood cut clean through and trailing down her back now, her dark hair freed. Had she felt one of her ribs crack? She wasn’t sure, and with adrenaline pumping, the pain was faint and far off. Not a good sign, but she couldn’t stop now…

Ida struggled to one knee and threw out her hand again. “Beautiful Petal Darts!” She cried out, falling back on her basic attack. It seemed almost pitiful, but it was something, at least. Anything to get the generator down. The way her body ached, darkness hovering at the edges of her vision, she suspected she wasn’t going to last much longer. She was going to go down, the way the others had… but better this way, in the midst of it, than on a stage before a crowd.

Glowing petals sprayed from her swept arm, pelting the generator.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Beautiful Petal Barrage!
[What it does] A powered up version of the Petal Darts, the petals can cause slightly deeper cuts that take more than just one day to heal. Clothing can still block this but there is a chance of the fibers being sliced by the petal, which could need to be repaired. Range is again, five or six feet and she can use it twice per battle. Twice will exhaust her and she will have to retire from the fight until she's rested.

Location: D6

Her attention was still kinda split between what was going on in front of her and what was going on across the field. The youma-senshi-boy went down from her knockout blow, and she glanced back up afterwards to try to see what was going on around the Princess.

What happened at that point was that she watched Ochre die.

Like, head off his shoulders, no mistaking it, die.

Good, she told herself, before she could tell herself anything else. That was what happened to traitors. If Jet hadn't gotten to him first, she would've stuck a knife in his ribs. That was how it worked.

She found tears welling up in her eyes anyway.

She tried not to think about it. Instead, she gripped her daggers tighter, scanned the crowd for someone still wearing light colors, and swung out at a Neptune squire.

Guardian Cat Réalta
HP: 15
Action: Attacking the Generator
Damage Base: 2 Rank: +0 2
Location: F6

She became only largely aware of the machine in front of her, of needing it to be destroyed. If it was damaged enough, she could go back to her girl, she'd know she'd done something to protect her girl. And her friends. And that sweet alien's life wouldn't have been lost in vain.

She tried not to think about the burning sensation in the star on her forehead, or how her body bristled and tensed from the clotting Chaos in the air around her. Or how the horrible agent was being--rightfully--attacked by a knight. The other alien was still helping them. She heard all the deaths, all the pleas, all the attacks, over her communicator. Realta put it all into a box in the back of her mind to unpack later. To process later. She just tried to focus on this damned infuriating machine.

Eternal Nix
HP: 66
Action: Nix is attacking General Lopezite with an Eternal attack. 3 + 7 + 4 = 14 damage
Location: F6

The lengthening of Nix's tongue proved to be a bit of a distraction for him--if anyone else looked at him, they might see black and blue spots on his face, too. He had no way to know that, though.

The distraction was almost fatal, as a General showed up with a sword and tried to take him out...he thought, anyway.

Somehow, he managed to suck his tongue all the way back inside himself, as he jumped back...getting slashed by the sword in an arm anyway, it was fine. Just a bit of blood and...blue beneath? No time to think about that.

"Oh, you're asking for it now!" Nix said with a slightly too large grin, and arms spread wide. "Time to meet a Dart Frog!" His whole uniform--and head, too--shimmered with blue moisture, and he lunged toward Lopezite while launching his tongue (his real tongue, how weird) out at the General.

Eternal Attack: Dart Frog
Nix holds out his hands and a slick blue liquid coats his skin. For 45 seconds, his skin becomes incredibly toxic and he gains the ability to project an astral tongue up to fifteen feet from him. This tongue cannot grip anything and is simply useful in reaching targets from a distance. Anyone who comes into contact with him, his uniform, or his astral tongue will begin to suffer debilitating poisoning. In addition to dizziness, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, it can cause hallucinations and pain. Players can choose to have effects last for longer than the duration of his magic. He can only use this magic once.

Encke is addressing Lyndin and the Velencians!

Transcendent Eternal Encke
HP: 75/100
Action: CW for Barren Pines memories, attacking the main computer, responding to Oberon and Belmont, attempting to speak with Lyndin.
Damage: 9 + 7 = 16 to main console
Location: D4 -> D3

Encke winced at Oberon's words.

Araya, Riff-Raff.

They echoed to another part of him.

You know something bad might happen to me. But you must--

Another part that had to make a bad decision.

You have your decisions -- which of you will die?

Often, there wasn't time to make second choices, and there were no second chances.

He smashed his hand against the computer.

He felt the closeness of his comet again, and he breathed. He listened. He heard Belmont ask how, and it felt resonant. The attacks they had done were bouncing off him. Encke had gone for the starseed, and he was shoved back like the rest of them. Pendour had tried speaking to him, and it hadn't worked. His cadets spoke to him, and he bore out his soul but it seemed he was still likely to leave with another without the body it belonged with. There were no good solutions. No good answers.

The chaos pouring over the field was taking its toll. He couldn't simply abandon them to die, and their gamble to simply shut off the machine had failed. The machine resonated with Caedus, but not well enough. It needed his starseed.

Caedus was fighting. He didn't want to die.

He remembered Basiluzzo's body, shaken by the cold issuance of his attack without a word from his lips, laying without a starseed in his chest. Remembered that he had been able to retrieve that starseed. Remembered the recent attempt to simply take the starseed back from Lyndin had been met with being repelled across the field.

But Lyndin hadn't left yet.

He heard Scylla mention his name at a distance. Looked in her direction out of curiosity. Looked like she was trying, too.

"Fine," he said to Oberon, and then to Belmont, "I honestly don't know, but I'm going to try to appeal to him again. If Caedus considers him a good friend..."

Then he had a good heart. Until this, he hadn't had an impression of otherwise.

The Velencyans were a peaceful people. And if he was one of those that led them--

He looked to Pendour and murmured, "Be careful."

And then to, "Caedus," nodded to Sessrumnir, who held him, "I'm trying, alright? I want to see your home in this life."

He saw how sincerely volatile and damaged that starseed looked. He wasn't sure if there was anything they could do. He wasn't sure if this was destiny. He wasn't sure if interfering was even a good decision. Would it be just like-- use the wrong choice and end up choking in a smog of air that turned out to be--

Encke walked by Scylla, feeling momentarily comforted as he slipped in and out of her aura, on the way toward where Lyndin was standing with his cadets. He immediately put his hands up.

Didn't want a fight. Hoped that was a universal signal.

"Commodore," a polite introduction, because he didn't want to make the Velencians enemies. Sincerely. Order had too many of them already, and Lyndin's actions were rapidly causing more. "I understand why you're doing this. The only solution that you've been able to see. I get this. You're protecting your people. I understand. If the Enckeans were still alive they'd be my priority, too."

Had been, once. But now, the only remnants he had were himself and the Enckeans' comet.

"He doesn't want to die. I don't want him to die. If you've been trying for all those years without him and now he's with you, again, you may just need more time to figure out how to work with him." Something that echoed what Fae-fae had said, perhaps even unintentionally. "If the Velencyans need help, I," a gamble, he guessed, "heard Scylla mention my name. What she said. I want to see space thrive again. So many of our worlds are hardly alive. So many of us have already lost our people." On that, he momentarily choked, feeling the pain of his world and the pain of himself-- "You have a people that are alive. I'd like to help. My comet has space. Caedus has seen it. He could tell you."

He glanced back toward the main computer.

"Caedus deserves to be able to help, too. He wants to live. Lived hundreds of years in that place the Negaverse calls the Rift. I know youma." He knew youma because he had been a youma. Turned into one in a situation so similar. If he looked down at his hand, sometimes, in his mind's eye, he saw the fingers lengthen-- "That must have been torture, and all he's had now is a few years of light. He was so excited to see you all again. So excited to get back home. So excited to help, to help you all thrive. I helped him get there. Repeatedly." All their exchanges of crystals, and the beautiful one that still sat in his room-- "Let him have the ability to make this choice instead of having it taken from him. And please," he bit his lip, "don't do this. The Negaverse is cruel. Right now, they are wiping the memories of our own, replacing them with shells of themselves. They will come for you next, whenever Metallia decides she's had her fill with us." Quite possibly, literally.

His hands were going numb, but he didn't drop them.

Cadet Gavaen
HP: 50HP
Action: Attacking Center Console and yelling at Lyndin
Damage: 5+3 = 8 Damage
Location: D4

So many were trying to reach the Commodore with their actions or words, a cacophony of sounds around him. It was Chaos. he was seething. Amongst them, he boiled over;

"Trust you!?" Gavaen, normally so gentle, so jovial, so happy, bellowed towards Lyndin as he turned from his assault on the center console.

"You know who else trusted you blindly? Caedus! And look what you've done to him!" He made a sweeping gesture to their king, struggling to hold on, even still, clinging desperately to life.

"We all trusted you. All of Valencia trusts you, blindly, without question. And look what you've lead us to! How much of this could have been avoided if you stopped using us like dumb little pawns and communicated fully, openly!? Trusted us like we trusted you instead of treating us like dumb little fragile creatures below you!?"

All of that shouted, roared, anger dripping tears down his face, then he took in a deep breath, and through clenched teeth, "All of Valencia - have been trained to be blind little obedient pets...."

A shaky fist rose, broken fingers balled into a fish, and he slammed it into the console with all his anger and rage;

"NO MORE!"

General Chambersite
HP: 26/100
Action: Getting up from being zurg-attacked and figuring out his next move if he doesn't get knocked out by the next time I post him
Damage N/A
Location: B4

He was attacked again. He didn't know by who this time, well maybe by that Knight again and he felt pain soaring through his body. But he would make it out of this. Either consciously or if someone was being nice, carrying his unconscious body. He hoped they would. They lost enough Agents turning traitor just today!

It appeared that the Knight and the Page that had attacked him had started to run, and he wondered, as he slowly got up, making sure that nothing was broken or bleeding too badly, where they were going to go. The General Sovereigns and their Queen still had the barrier up. But whatever they did he couldn't stop them now. He dismissed his weapon, holding his bloodied arm and making sure that he could still use it. Very badly bruised, but not broken. He couldn't say the same for any of his ribs however.

He stared out in the battlefield. What was the Queen's plan now? The generators were being badly attacked, he was sure that they would lose more of them. Was it just on the off chance that they could corrupt some of those who were here.

He choked out a laugh, tasting the blood on his tongue. Considering how many had willingly been changed on the field today, how effective would it be to forcibly change so many others? Hadn't they already learned their lesson?

Squire Sumner
HP: 20/75
Action: Still attacking the generator but probably not for long cause he's getting pretty much holed-to-unconsciousness by a General and a Lieutenant
Damage: 2 + 5 + 2 = 9
Location: D6

Sumner attempted to hit the generator with his fists again but before he could he felt an incredibly sharp pain in his back and turning around could see that a General was now attacking him. All he could say in retaliation to the General was "D*** you." He felt his vision getting blurry and pain from the chaos inside of him. He could have sworn that he felt punched near where the stab had been, but he wasn't sure.

He didn't know what organs she had hit, but probably a lot of important ones that weren't just his lung. But... he could still think, if a little. If he stopped now, that would mean while he could escape he would most likely succumb to the forced corruption.

"I'll be d***** if you force me to your side." He spat at the General before he weakly hit the generator with his fists again. She could attack him again, but he would take down the generators at all costs!

Asphodel Knight of Saturn
HP: 46
Action: Attacking B6 Generator with Forgotten Spell
Damage: 6 + 7 + 3 = 16

"You're right," Asphodel answered to Lourdes. "Glad you're on your feet, comrade." He dipped a hand into his subspace and pulled out a water bottle to offer her. "I honestly don't know what's the best course of action, so might as well follow the consensus that seems to have formed here. I'm going to go whack that machine with my shovel. Are you in?"

She could still feel the Chaos burning in her skin and eating away at her mind, but that name still felt much better than the alternative. She had to hold on to that.

"I'm Asphodel Knight. Formerly Uranophane," she said. "Let's stay in touch if things here work out."

With that, she turned her stance on the generator. Readying her spade in her hands, she swiped it in front of her with a shout, and a glob of mud splattered against it before the metal struck. This was done a couple more times, smothering a few of the fires that had been set in the area.

Forgotten Spell: Burial in the Rain
RANGE: 15 feet
USES: 15

Asphodel's spade can throw mud projectiles about the size of an orange. Like paintballs, they burst and cling to the opponent or surface they land on. The weather can impact how things work from there: rain makes it wash away faster, and icy conditions encourage it to freeze.

These projectiles do no damage and have no special magical effects. They simply have the properties of normal mud: cold, wet, smelly and unpleasant. Depending on where it lands, the mud can cause someone to slip and fall, make weapons and other objects harder to grip on, or impair the senses if it lands in eyes, noses or ears. It clings until removed, which can be done using any method that would work on normal mud.

Eternal Caliban
HP: 85/100
Action: Getting a Youma off of him and rushing to D4 to attack the main generator
Damage 9 + 7 + 3 (super magic 1/2) = 19
Location: Moving from F2 to D4

As he tried to attack the generator again, not only did it fail and explode like the others, but he was then attacked by a freaking Youma! He could feel his claws in his shoulders and felt what was most likely rug or rope burns and he couldn't help but cry out when he felt them. They would heal, but it was like getting a really bad band-aid ripped off!

And THEN the bird went for his wings! While he didn't much care about the wings themselves considering they were cosmetic and not actually attached to his body, he frantically tried to throw the Youma off when he heard ripping. "Oh f*** no that's not happening!" He said.

AND THENNNNNNN

The damn Youma and freaking Squire decided to start talking to each other. "What the f*** is wrong with you two?!" He said, still trying to get the Youma off of him. They were NOT just having a conversation while he was attempting to be rid of his new attachment!

Eventually the Youma lept off of him to attack one of the Pages that he had introduced himself to. He looked at the Squire. "You're going to get your g** d***** friend off of him and so help me if I find this Page unconscious when I get back due to your friend I will beat you myself!" He said. He was NOT in the mood for being pleasant. This was not the time and they should not be having a conversation on the battlefield while their lives were at stake! "I'm going to attack that generator in the middle! We have to take all of them down!" He looked back at the Pages. "I'll be back for you." And with that he headed towards the middle, dodging and leaping wherever he could, before he finally found his opening at it.

"Seal Matrix!" He said as he punched the generator. He wasn't sure if his magic would do anything at this point, but he wasn't going to waste it on that alien! Plenty had attacked him and it didn't even look like he had been hit!

Power
Quote:
Seal Matrix
When he hits an opponent with his fists, causes them to be temporarily paralyzed for 15 seconds, where he hit his opponent (the same was as in the basic attack), but can be used 4 times. If he hits in quick succession, then the effect stacks (so if he hits twice quickly, that's 8 seconds). However, for the stack effect to take place, he must hit a different spot. He cannot hit the same spot. Starting at this stage his hands glow as he is about to hit.

Eternal Sailor Metis
HP: 75
Action: Attacking the Generator
Damage Base: 10 Rank: +7 Faction Bonus: +2 same square Basic magic 19
Location: B2 to D4

"Sailor Earth...?"

She drew up abruptly, hearing his voice. It crackled from a Cadet's communication device. The tears that had barely slowed, barely even dried on her cheeks, began anew.

"I will admit that I am not entirely sure if they have been found yet."

Metis didn't know this conversation, it hadn't been one she'd been present for. But she knew his voice, and the warmth it surged in her was a beacon fire against the biting darkness that surrounded her. If she had the chance, she'd thank whoever it was that played that recording. The press of Chaos didn't lessen for her, not in the slightest, but it gave her a push of hope to keep fighting, to keep on going to see him home.

To hear his words though--and others played after them--she wondered at their meaning. Yes, Sailor Earth was not here, but they, all the senshi from so many worlds fought for Earth, and their own worlds. They had to. It was their only home right now for many. She thought of that in relation to what the Velencians were trying to obtain--their own world, healthy, whole. Adapt.

Metis gave a soft smile to that.

"...thank you for that... delightful insight," she sighed somewhat to Kurma. Even with the warmth hearing Athalia's voice had brought her, that news... that news cut deep. "Could you do anything about all this... miasma in the air?" She gestured towards the energy of Chaos she could see, figuring, of course, he would just get what she was saying. She wasn't sure of his powers. Especially not with all of their magic going... wonky.

When she spotted Erebus, her blood went cold. It took a moment to recognize his silhouette, but when she heard his voice, she knew. She blanched, trying to reach for her cousin. Especially after the generator exploded. "Erebus!" Metis nearly tackled him--till she saw he was in a fight. "I'm going after more of the generators. Follow me when you can!"

She didn't want to be separated, she needed to know her cousin was safe. But Terry knew how to handle himself in a fight. In that, she could place her faith.

Steeling herself, she made her way down towards the central computer, trying... trying not to look at the voids outlined by so, so many energy auras. She would break down if she did. She'd just start to cry. Knowing she could do nothing, knowing she could stop none of this. Instead, she got close enough to use some particularly old magic on the machine. "Mind's Eye Flare!"

Yetzirah felt sick. He'd been curious about the aliens--real aliens!--so he'd come. Cuz why not? It didn't hurt to check out, to see what would happen next but... uh. Yeah. Yeah this would hurt. A lot, judging by the scene spread out before him. And... well. He didn't know how to fight. Panic swirled in his chest, tightening his throat and sending his heartrate into a wild dumb beat echoing through his body. He didn't really know how to treat injuries beyond basic first aid. All of this? None of this made a lick of sense to him. And that disgusting, painful sensation in his chest... He felt nauseous, noticing how his pastel and white uniform took on a bit of a grey... black... tinge...

"No thanks," he grumbled, looking to an area of the field... surrounded in fire. Well. It at least didn't take him long to find a piece of debris that was on fire, and chuck that right at the generator. He couldn't help the man without his starseed--why wasn't his friend giving it back?--but he could at least try to help everyone attacking these things. Maybe it'd break... whatever was protecting Thanos over there?

"You picked the worst night to go out, sweetheart," she mumbled to herself. She should be home, waiting for Tobias to get there, so they could watch a movie, just chill, relax...

She could be doing research. Surfing around on the internet. Something. Anything was better than... this. "But no, no, you had to be curious."

She tried to pick her way as carefully as she could through the fires that raged near and around one generator, till she got close enough to slam some debris down against it, kicking at it with her heels. She wasn't keen on breaking her heart. A heel, however, was fine.

HP: 164
Action: Attacking Asphodel
Damage 7 (roll) + 7 (rank) + 2 (magic 2/3) + 10 (special mission) + 5 (special) = 31
Location: B6

Kamacite gasped for air once the larger man was knocked out, and he shoved at him, rolling him off of him so he could climb back to his feet, rubbing at his neck. He should just take the man’s starseed, but they were told to subdue and not kill.

His throat burned, and he coughed a few times as he tried to breathe properly again. He nodded to Faustite when he asked if he was okay. He didn’t want to look behind him at Axinite. He didn’t want to see the concern in his expression, nor did he want Axinite to see the fear in his own.

They were holding up the generator, but he could hear explosions from others. Soon they were going to be overrun.

There were others coming for the generator. Others approaching Faustite now.

Kamacite felt his whole body freeze as he watched an Eternal Senshi (Lysithea) approach him, along with another Negaverse Senshi (Ilse). He had no idea what was going on, but he didn’t like it. Faustite was more than capable of handling an Eternal Senshi, so he would just keep an eye on him for now. They still had a job to do -- protect the generator.

Eyes narrowed on a Knight (Asphodel) that used some kind of spade weapon, throwing mud at the generator. Well, they wouldn’t be able to do that if they couldn’t see. Curious about the last time he used his magic, he held out his hands and willed the magic into being. Solar flare! A bright flash of light lit up the area. It was a good thing too, because his throat was still too sore to speak.

Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Solar Flare
There is a brilliant flash of light causing temporary but immediate disorientation and blindness that fades into horribly spotty vision; can last upwards of twenty seconds. The attack does not cause physical damage and is intended as a diversion or distraction. Has an effect radius of 8 feet (although the flash can be seen as one would see any flash), and can be used three times.

"I'm sorry," Lionel told Hania, and he sounded like he meant it, "I can't do that. If I give her back--what are you going to do? Take her to a Princess? A Prince? They're both down, cat. And if you wrench her back like that--what if it hurts her? Kills her?"

He exhaled.

"I'll keep her safe," he promised, voice soft. "As best as I can."

God, he hoped Faustite couldn't hear him.

He carried Guinevere away, a little closer tot he center console, to give himself some space to fish the odd little bone he'd found inth e Rift out of his pocket. He hadn't even noticed it in among the scales he scooped up--but it wasn't one fot hem, so he'd kept it for himself. He knew, somehow, that he needed it now.

So he cracked it over Guinevere's face, and she inhaled, and once she was conscious, he carefully set her down.

HP: 10
Action: Execution, as requested!
Damage: N/A
Location: C4 -> D4

Guinevere came back to awareness blank and confused. Her memories were a muddled, empty mess, and her chest hurt, and...and she was leaning on someone. Someone very warm. She patted at the wall of muscle next to her, and made a little thoughtful noise.

Her name was Guinevere. She knew that.

She was a woman--obviously.

And there was someone she wanted to see, but she couldn't.....remember who.

There was a black feather on a gold chain in her hand. She ran a thumb over it, turned it over, and carefully affixed it to her hip. It was important. Precious. She knew that.

And she stood up.

And she inhaled.

And she gasped.

Oh, it all felt so good.

"What are we supposed to do?" She asked the Corrupt she had been leaning against.

"Protect the generators," Lionel said, even though it made him sick. He wouldn't see her marked a traitor so early, perhaps executed as a failure. "They're very important. We can figure everything else out later, okay?"

Content Warning: Character Death

"Okay," Guinevere said, and she looked around, and--oh! That must be one of the generators. There were so many people gathered around it, and someone strange and tall and blue was hitting it.

Oh, that wouldn't do.

With her new instructions, she stormed off towards the central console, heedless of Lionel calling her back with panic in his voice. She weaved among all the people pleading, and blinked at the unconscious alien at the foot of the machine.

"Oh, that looks bad," she said.

And then, her hand slipped into Gavaen's back. She found his starseed. She pulled. She withdrew the starseed, and cradled it against her chest. It was a bright, beautiful treasure. Something special. Something she needed to take care of. She tucked it away, briefly, to get her hands free again.

"I'm sorry, sir," she said, "I'm sure you think you're doing the right thing, but I can't let you destroy that. I have my orders. You understand."

He probably didn't, she guessed. Not anymore.

Just to be sure, she reached down and got a good grip on his neck. She twisted. She was glad for her magical strength, because she was fairly certain she could not have managed this otherwise.

There was a snap.

She let the body fall, and pulled the starseed back out from where she'd tucked it away, holding it up to get a better look.

How strange. How unique. How precious and fragile. She would have to keep it very safe.
