Hello...
I have been a member since 2007...I was there before the GC and Gaia did fine...it isn't even the problem for me of them making money, they do have expenses...however it is how much they push buying now, how some users are limited in being able to do certain things, the outragous inflation...and the amount of greed I am seeing.....

Hello everyone!
I've been here since end 2003, this account is from 2004 tho as I lost my original account long ago.
Gaia has been a big part of my childhood and life. I was 12 years old when I first joined, now I'm 22 and still check it everyday. Lurking in the art corners mostly.
Alot of things have changed but it's great to see the community unite and get close again like they used to years ago.

Gaia has been a big part of life.
I was 12 years old when I first joined, now I'm 22 and only just coming back !.
I come back to this???? really.... inflation everywhere i look.... Zomg dead as can be......
mean people everywhere i seemed to look !
all my friend have gone !
so i'm hoping to make new ones : )

Hi! We already had GC by the time I joined in late 2009, but it was fun then, not required. It isn't now, but it seems to be moving that way, unless they cure the inflation. Hey, everyone! I've been on and off Gaia since 2004. I keep coming back since I'm an avid avatar maker (AT is my home forum).
I think a lot of things are changing and they don't have to be for the worse, but Gaia's new business approach has offended a lot of their intended consumer base--as that intended consumer base it is our responsibility to speak up and change things. I see people argue that this is "just how things work" and that's not the right attitude. Business practices often change with enough negative consumer feedback, lost consumers, and drops in sale. It's up to the Gaia community to force these changes.

I'm just worn out with the consistency of them and the fact that they are ignoring their user base. Turning a blind eye is probably the worst of it all.  Ahoy! I have been a Gaia member since 2007, so I even pre-date GC and thus have seen and experienced quite a lot here. The recent developments however are the very first time that I am worried about Gaia and my fellow members (mostly the members!). Since a short period of time it's Grab-Bag after Grab-Bag, Flynn's Booty after Flynn's Booty and Gold Sink after Gold Sink, a Club Verge with perks here and there (nope, I am not a member!) and we call it even. And I am not even to get started about messed up events because suddenly, those with a thick wallet, can cheat legitimately thanks to buying GC. And that is not even what worries me the most... No. What worries me the most is the lack of interest in what my fellow community members have to say about these developments... Never in my time as a Gaia member have I seen forums so swelled up with complaints. And it pains me to see that, apparently, those members do not count anymore. They are not heard.... So I am here to give my voice to those whom are not heard! Which also includes me, truth be told. Because I refuse to give up on Gaia without a fight.
But live today Life is to short anyway
