Ialo also looked at the casket, and made a mental promise to come during a decent hour to pay his respects.
You know, I don't feel so well, the Human said off-handedly.
Almost immediately, Ialo's eyes rolled back into his head, and he hit the soft muddy ground like a bag of wet cement.

"Well, hell!" Cook said, and in a deft movement, he grabbed Ialo, saw that he was completely out of it. "What the hell happened to you?" He demanded, and automatically switched course towards the shack, seeing as it was only a few feet away.
Without a word, Cook carried the headmaster up the stairs with little effort, and after a moment of deliberation clenched his jaw and went into Danni's room, laying the man on her bed.
He started chafing the older man's wrists while Sly went off for smelling salts. "Oh, what the hell, Ialo? Come on, come back around now. What the hell messed you up so bad?" Cook demanded, his large hands fumbling a bit over the smaller man as he tried not to bruise the poor man.

What the hell was that for, Dragon demanded. As long as I am allowing your inferior blood in this body, you will work up to my standards! And dragons do NOT show weakness! Especially to inferiors!
But I was tired! And it hurts! He couldn't take it anymore! The Body is lucky enough to be breathing, much less standing on his own feet!
The Entity sank to the floor of Ialo's mind in a black heap of amused darkness.
His Body is certainly a better companion then you are, sniveling human! If I could boot you out, there'd be no telling what he'd be capable of!
If I go, the Human said defensively, You know most of his memories go with me. Including the ones about the Fountain.
Meanwhile, Ialo was completely unresponsive.

"Maybe he just needs...rest. He looks pretty beat up." Sly offered when everything failed to work.
"I suppose you're right...I still say we should try putting a bit of garlic up his nose. Never known it to fail to wake a body up." Cook said, but sighed. Today was just not a good day.

((Imminent Threat to Ialo's nose! Alas, he cannot respond...))
Chuckling to himself as he imagined what Cook would possibly do to try and wake Ialo up, Ophiuchus knelt at Danni's grave and laid down a small bouquet of white flowers. It was a bit inappropriate for Danni, but a Venus Flytrap required too much upkeep in colder climates.

((Well, he shouldn't have fainted around Cook. God himself fears the man's home remedies (AKA: Nazi torture methods) ))
At the moment the flowers touched the ground, Addie Harper turned restlessly in the bed of her newest room, this time in a cottage in Australia. "I don't wanna die..." The words were mumbled under her breath, but Eli heard them, and the dog's head raised as his ears perked. That was a fine improvement, indeed...

Ophi focused on contacting Danni's soul - he couldn't even measure against the Ancients when it came to raw power, but he was a master at navigating the astral plane.
"Danni, wherever you are, you're not alone. You've got three families, and they all love you to bit. Never think you're alone. Snakes are guardians, you know. So are dragons, and shields and dogs."
Hit by inspiration, Ophiuchus continued his prayer. "Whenever you see a snake, especially, remember this voice. And talk to the snake and ask him about a biiig white snake. It won't hurt you, I promise. Snakes are good."

Addie shifted on the mattress, and her eyes blinked open with the tail of a dream scurrying just out of her reach. But she blinked against the bright sun, looked out the window and saw the familiar desert-like terrain around her house.
"Let's go for a walk!" She said brightly to Eli, and was jumping out of bed without a worry. She left a note for her father, who was fiddling with the car engine again, and then walked happily out into the heat, with Eli close behind her.
"Let's think of a story, Eli. That way we can tell it tonight after supper. It'll be a grand story, full of...dragons! Yes, dragons, and dogs, and...snakes. Snakes are good." She said brightly, and smiled as she roamed the area, out in the middle of the Australian outback.

Satisfied with his prayer, Ophiuchus stood up and left Danni's grave. He also purposefully ignored Cook's shack. "Ialo needs the rest," he told himself. "And I need to find Nathan before something explodes."

There were all manner of strange animals out here, she thought, and stopped abruptly when she heard a hiss, and a rattle. Stooping down, she looked around a bush and saw a rattlesnake, coiled up with its tail in the air.
"Look, Eli, a snake! Snakes are good!" She said, even as the rattler gave another warning. She merely smiled, as something flashed through her brain, a calming voice. But then it was gone again, and she blinked.
"Hello there, Mr. Snake. You're very handsome...Do you know any big, big white snakes? I want to see a big, big white snake." She said, and unexpectedly the snake didn't strike, but almost seemed to calm, his glassy gaze meeting hers for a moment before it uncurled and slithered off into the brush.

'Well, s**t...What the hell is this?' Eli the dog was busy regretting the fact that he couldn't talk-at least not with the kid around. Had someone gone and gotten into her dreams again? He could think of only one big white snake, and it often took the shape of a man and strolled through the halls of Mystic Fountain. This couldn't be good...

A white scaly tail flickered from underneath the shrubs as the rattlesnake slithered by - it seemed there were multiple snakes in this particular field at the moment.

Eli let loose a growl, pushing Addie out of the way so that she fell with a thump to the dirt as Eli bared his teeth, swiping at the scale that came from the brush. Oh, hell...

With a loud hiss, the white snake rear from underneath the brush - and it was a very large snake. It locked eyes with the strange smelling dog. "What do you want from me?" it snarled in nearly incomprehensible words. And from its voice - this snake was most definitely female, with a native accent.
