Eirian had been smiling down at the freshlings in hopes to keep them calm while also eyeing a bed near the entrance to the new room. It looked reasonably comfy and seemed to be calling their name. Then suddenly Ms. Ava was shoving the last freshling-- and Aten-- into the room and concealing the entrance. Eirian was just about to whine about her doing that when she shouted her command. Turning around, Eirian saw what all the commotion was about.

They didn't stand around long to see what would happen when the infected students stood up again. Eirian had seen their eyes and there was nothing kind about them. The hybrid was thankfully quick on their feet and they bolted behind Ava, keeping close to her heels. Eirian tried not to let the shouts of his classmate or the growls of the infected stutter their steps. It was hard to ignore the guilt and they were still so tired, but they knew now was not the time to lay down. Eirian was sure that if they could all just get somewhere safe, those that had gained healing amulets could fix those that had gotten hurt.

Since it was taking all of Eirian's concentration to stay positive and up on their two feet, the hybrid obeyed Ms. Ava's request for them to head toward the auditorium. After all, where else would they go?

Seeing the danger, Yihad didn't hesitate to pull Mounia toward the safe area, on the way passing Somansh as hu saw her just staring at the monsters that used to be friends and family ", Som-... Somansh!" Without a second thought hu pushed Mounia toward the safety of the hallway, telling her to go ahead without him and running as fast as hu could to get to Somansh, avoiding the upcoming chaos and taking a hold of her hand. Before hu knew it hu had pulled them to the safe area, holding Somansh tight as hu cried. The litch didn't see her injury, only glad to see she was still in fact alive ", Somansh... I thought you were gone! I thought I had lost you!"

Chervil has been injured

Chervil remained close by Adalyn as the freshlings were ushered into the bunker; he was determined to follow close behind once the rest of them were permitted and find his friend a good place to rest. Preferably away from the others who were still unconscious; if they were destined to awaken and turn into the same creatures that had pursued them so relentlessly since......how long had it even been? Hours? Days?.......the last thing he knew she would want would be a constant reminder laying just a few feet away.

A sudden low growl of warning from Fio alerted Chervil before he heard Ava speak; he looked sharply behind him just in time to see two of the students slowly rise, seemingly out of their feverish coma. But something wasn't right; their eyes were nightmarish and gleamed with hunger, and he saw once-familiar features twist into masks of hatred, all trace of familiarity gone. A hiss of alarm escaped him as he moved to get closer to Adalyn, who had apparently noticed as well and was trying to scramble away as best she could with her injury. He then noticed that the entrance to the bunker had been sealed off, and everyone was veering off in another direction at the frantic motioning of Ava.

“Quickly!” he said as he came up behind Adalyn. “Follow the others!” He saw that the creatures had been pushed back, but they were returning at an alarming rate and he saw that it was likely that not everyone would make it out of harm’s way in time. Just then he remembered the dagger and amulet, the former resting in a careful slit he had made for it in the side of the long folds of his sweater. He was reaching for it when a sudden, searing pain laced along his back; he heard the thick threads of his sweater tearing, and could almost feel the dotted sections of bark along his back splintering and cracking in the wake of whatever it was. He spun around with a gasp and saw that one of the students……creatures?.......an infected chimera, had gotten quite close and had lashed out with their long claws. He could still see shredded bits of his sweater dangling from them like spaghetti.

He hastily yanked the dagger loose and swiped it rather clumsily at the creature. His lack of finesse with the weapon was apparent as the creature easily dodged his dagger and crouched down for another lunge. He then remembered the amulet around his neck, and he quickly pulled it out, willing it to do whatever it was it was supposed to. A sudden loud huff, like a VERY exasperated person blowing breath, sounded in his ears, and the chimera flew back with a screech and became lost among its seething mass of brethren.

He turned back around and ran after the rest of the group, every step and every breath causing angry jolts of pain, as though his feet were hammering hot, painful nails into his back. He felt sluggish and almost weak with fear; was he going to end up like those things back there, now that he had gotten their tainted touch? A sudden purple blur appeared in front of him and assailed him with persistent mewling sounds of concern. “Fio?” In answer, the vespercat dashed ahead of him, dodging boots and bare feet and looking back to make sure his friend was following.

He finally reached the group’s destination: the auditorium. Allowing the pain to recede slightly as his steps and breathing slowed, he looked around the panicked group for Adalyn.

Arabelle's eyes snapped open, revealing the darkness with the bright dot of crimson at the center. She lifted her body, letting the blanket fall away. The wound on her shoulder had gone entirely black, with more darkness radiating away from it and into her blue skin. She stood there for a few moments, like she was trying to regain her bearings. She turned and spotted the crowd. Instantly her entire demeanor changed. She snarled like a wild beast and her stance shifted to a crouch.

Her eyes lit upon a pair in particular. Despite the fact that she had talked to both previously, had even received the blanket now at her feet from one of them, there was no recognition in her eyes for either of them. She sprang for the Chimera, mouth open, hands curled into claws, expression wild. A sudden flash of red and teal and the Fallen was in her way. Arabelle shrieked with an unholy fury and lashed out with tooth and nail. They each struggled for control, and then there was a winner.

Arabelle felt the breath go out of her as she was knocked to the ground, hit by one of the Fallen's wings. The delicate looking appendages could deliver a punishing blow. She would just be sure to go for those first next time. The pair scrambled away from her as she struggled to regain her footing and her breath, blood dripping from her nails from where she'd marked the Fallen. Should she give chase, or go after a closer target?

Disobeying Ava, and heading to the cafeteria

Coco was freaked out she was crying and afraid. Vanna was right they couldn't risk Kingston being near them, they might turn and try to hurt him. Coco didn't know what to do, she was shocked when Kingston ignored all their fears putting himself at risk to drag Eilwen and her to the cafeteria. Coco felt really bad about disobeying Ava but she would have felt even worse if she hurt another student if she fell asleep and then started attacking those who hadn't been bitten.

Coco frowned looking at Kingston who had been attacked by one of the infected. "Don't you see Kingston you need to go to the auditorium and leave us here." She said loudly "What happens if we fall asleep and then attack you!! You could really get hurt!! Please please please go hide somewhere safe.." Coco begged Kingston since Vanna yelling at him didn't seem to have helped. She didn't have much hope that he would respond to her pleas either. Kingston was loyal to the end. Coco was terrified that the end would be very soon. The whole school infected. Classes over, no more future for anyone.
