Camb > Oxf ANY DAY. D<
@'elfy - I don't.. suck.. I did get like 90% average in my French exams [this is totally weird because it's like 97.5%, 97.8% and 76.7%... I mean, how uneven is that?!!]. I'm just not as amazing as a lot of people who will apply.. but hey, y'never know. But I'd love 2 years in France. It's like, my idea of heaven. <3
@xu - You're back! How're you?
@yalie - Yeah, now that you mention it, it really does sound like one xD Get one in like.. Birmingham or something, that's halfway between B&B and me. xD
@Sin - I dunno whether you'd want to deal with Heathrow, really. It's not that nice, just ultra-busy. xP

Mnn, I dunno. I'd still choose Camb even if I was doing English. But I guess.. I just have an irrational preference. It's not like Oxford is bad or anything, far from it. It's just that I am too in love with Cambridge, the town, the atmosphere... <3
Which means that if I don't get in I will.. probably be more upset than I should be.

I'm sure you will be disappointed. And you'd have every right to be so. It is such a difficult uni to get into though.
Well... I am biased too. I also prefer Cambridge, for a namesake. sweatdrop But it's the course I prefer of Oxford's, and apparently Cambridge have other necessities which I doubt I could reach. rolleyes Though yes, I have heard that the town is lovely... I want to see Oxford's environment before I do make a decent choice between the two...

@Sin - I dunno whether you'd want to deal with Heathrow, really. It's not that nice, just ultra-busy. xP You really do love France niph? blaugh And to qualify my statement, I didn't mean you suck at French generally, just that compared to a native French speaker you hardly match at all. Unless you live in a place with French people who know English well, it's going to be hard staying there for 2 whole years. You're going to have to speak in French all the time. I can't imagine myself doing that. xd Sin: What, I have to go to Sydney in order to accompany you? gonk Rats, I hate going to Sydney. I stayed there for three days once and I found it horrible. B&B: I can't choose between Cambridge or Oxford. Both sound the same to me. In fact, for most people in Australia, Cambridge and Oxford are referred to as one university, Oxbridge. I have no idea which one is better.

Waa?! Yalie-chan, you're coming to our Oxford?! eek That IS pretty much London! Or next to. Both Oxbridge are located very near London, on the outskirts. 3nodding
Yes, well, we call it Oxbridge too. 3nodding
@Mini: They are similar, but of course, not the same. However, neither one is better than the other. They are, really, on par with one another; equals. 3nodding That's the good thing about them, because you don't go for the better one, since there is no better one. To choose between the two, you have to measure up several things though - the things that set Oxford and Cambridge apart. For one, the environment is completely different, I'd assume. I'd go with Cambridge as the better on there from what I've heard. I also HEARD that Cambridge is harder to get into... *shrug* They both internal tests and whatever, so... Anyway, the course you want to take differs too, so you should choose the uni which provides the course that best suits you. That't the best way to go about choosing between Oxbridge. 3nodding Usually, if you want to do science, you go for Cambridge, and if the arts, then Oxford... Though don't take my word for it.

@B&B: lol, I actually looked at Cambridge as an international student when i was applying to colleges and realized that not only am i prolly not qualified it's alot of paperwork and so confusing since I didn't know what school to go to. As far as Oxford goes, I don't know for sure if I can go, I need to talk with my advisor first and then get into the paper work@.@ but I'll definitely apply to go as exchange student 3nodding
