I hate my boss so much. On Monday I asked off work because I wanted to study for my test, my boss says no because another woman is out so she needs me there, so I work. Yet last Friday, that same woman was out and she let another girl who works the exact same hours as me off so that she could go to that beach. And today, the one woman is still out of town, and she let another girl who works the same hours as me off today so she can study. What ******** bullshit. In addition, we are going to a concert at Universal on Friday, I am not asking off early because I don't feel a need to since I get off work at 6 and the concert is at 8:30 so we will have just enough time to get there. Now the same girl who is out today, and would be getting off at 5:30 on Friday, is getting off early Friday because she is going to the concert. Yes the exact same concert, yet she is using it as an excuse to get off work hours earlier than I am.
I think I am going to talk to my boss and tell her I think I am being treated really unfairly. Why can other people have off when I can't? Why can other people get off early but not me? Ugh, I am so frustrated.

Ugh, I am so frustrated. Just be grateful you're getting more hours than most people in this shitty economy? True, you're being treated unfairly, but like Gligar said, you're probably better at your job than your coworkers. Best bet is speak frankly with your manager about this (stay calm and to the point, don't get worked up, etc. etc.) and just try and get your views across. Hopefully, she'll understand.
