Miko~
Miko hesitated a moment, glancing between both Hikari and Gannon. She needed to speak with both of them and she knew it. She sighed. She couldn't. She needed to buy supplies while the shops were still open. Shaking her head, she said softly, "Good night. I will see you both in the morning." She walked around them and followed Mana out the door. "I'm ready. Where to first? Weapons or supplies?"

Nereus "Well to me it does not matter on what we do first, as long as we do them before it is to late." He then rested his back against the wall on the inn, and waited for them two to make any decision. As he was doing this he was also grasping the note from before, knowing that there will eventually be trouble for him.

Mana~
"Well, I'd say we get going shopping at the Weapon's shop first, then. They close first." Mana started out for the Weapon shop. "Then we can stock up on items, too." She led the way until they got there and then she checked the shelves. They didn't have any weapons that she liked handling, but they had some grathnode crystals that she could upgrade her weapon with, and so she pulled out the money to purchase those. She glanced over at her sister who was looking through the bows. "See anything you want? I'll buy it, Sis. Whatever you want."

Nereus He followed them to the shop and saw that there were grathnode crystals. 'This might come in handy.' He thought as he picked one up, stared at it. He grabbed a bunch leaving only leaving a few left for others. "How much is it." He said to the owner.

"W-well, now my boy, that's a mighty fine eye ya got." He noticed the bunch of grathnode crystals he had in tow. "4,500 leaf for the lot. I'll cut ya a discount."

"Whoa, whoa, hold on there, Ner." She glared at the shopkeeper. "Are you freakin' kiddin' me? You expect him to pay 4,500 leaf for this crap? The most I'd pay for that pile of junk is 3,000 leaf and that's even pushing it!" She crossed her arms. "It's up to you, but I wouldn't if I were you...""Where do you people come from?" The shop keeper griped. "I swear, I'm going to go bankrupt if you all keep challenging my fair prices." "How is any part of this fair? How much were you gunna charge me for these?" Mana demanded. "1K? Cuz I'll tell ya now, pal, I ain't payin' more than 600 leaf for this stuff..."

Nereus "Well I don't mind paying it. like i said to Miko. I don't have use for all the leaf besides food supplies and and bills." He said taking out 5000 leaf. He then thought of something and put it back.

The younger sibling was studying the weapons in the corner of the shop. She sighed, not impressed with the selection. "No, it's all right, Mana." She waited patiently for her sister and Nereus to finish up.

Gannon… 
"I don't like it." Gannon said as he watched the man leave the Inn. He had cancelled his spell when Mana had stood up for the man, but had been ready to fire a blast of electricity strong enough to roast him on the spot if he had done anything threatening. Shaking his head, he turned back to Hikari, leaning heavily on the cane. The magic attack had drained him pretty badly. "Things just keep happening one after the other, eh?" The Teru gestured to the room where they could talk in private.

 I am the Light of this World
The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~  The Reyvateil nodded meekly up at the Teru. She noticed him having difficulty standing and wordlessly reached over, attempting to support him as best she could. "Does it hurt? I can use my Song Magic again." He didn't seem to be in pain at the moment; only tired. She cursed herself inwardly. Why couldn't she have a special healing Song Magic for fatigue? Hikari slowly walked with Gannon to the room. She tried the handle on the door and it opened to a vacant room. Hikari stepped away from Gannon and inspected the room, staring around her at the furnishings. She noticed a painting on the wall and studied it. That was when she noticed the two beds. This time it was less cramped quarters with the twins spending the night in another room, but she could honestly say that the other Inn seemed more inviting and warm to her. This place felt kind of detatched. Finally, after her inspection of the room, she sat down on one of the beds. As if she suddenly remembered something, her expression changed to a troubled one and she patted the loose pockets on her own clothing, searching. A panicked look appeared on her face momentarily. "Oh, no, I thought I had it when we left..." She had been reminded when sitting that she would soon be talking about something painful, and had wanted to cuddle the stuffed animal for comfort as she talked to Gannon, but she realized that in the commotion the night before, and in her feverish state she'd left Pepen in Ce Palym. "Oh, no," she repeated hopelessly. She sighed sadly and stared down at the floor. "Rhaplanca gave me a stuffed animal and I was so happy. It's the first present I've ever recieved from anyone since I was locked away... I was hoping to hold on to Pepen for courage, but..." Tears filled her eyes. "I wasn't feeling well that night when we were attacked and I think I left him behind." She wiped the tears away and looked up at Gannon, an unreadable expression on her face. "Either way, it doesn't matter. I'm going to have to tell this to you... then Rhaplanca." She couldn't look Gannon in the eye after that. It was impossible to even think of telling anyone beyond those two. She stood and walked over to Gannon, and closed the door behind him, locking it. "Where do you want to sit?" She asked softly. "I'll help you, and I'll just sit on that bed." She nodded toward the bed she'd just sat down on. Hikari honestly was terrified. She wished more than anything that she'd at least been able to keep the stuffed animal to cling to, that way if everyone else rejected her, she could have at least that one tiny comfort. But it was not to be.My Song is a Shining Light

Gannon…
The Teru shook his head when Hikari offered to use her magic again to help him. "Nothin' a little sleep won't fix." He made his way to the bed opposite of where the Reyvateil planned on sitting. He ended the spell keeping the ice cane in existence, causing it to shatter and vanish as if it was never there in the first place. With that, Gannon sat down on the bed, propping himself up against the wall so he'd be able to face Hikari. "Forgot it, huh? Well, we'll have ta go back and get it then. I need ta check on Melody, anyways. We'll be sure to get your pepen." He was already searching his memory for what shops were in town and if there were any gift shops that carried them. The girl's been through enough. If it'll help comfort her, why not? "So..." Gannon wasn't sure how to say what he needed. "I suppose you heard quite a bit from that witch. One thing she does is tell just enough of the truth to make her stories believable. So, whatever she told you, you shouldn't take it to heart. Alright? Now, I give my word that I'll tell you anything you want to know. But, maybe we should go over what you have to say first. Looks like you really need to get it off your chest, eh?"

Nereus "I'm ready to leave whenever you are ready." He said as he was stepping, not wanting to buy the crystals for Mana had make him not to buy them. "Hey, Mana. Let's go to the supplies shop before they close." After that he waited with his hands behind his back.

"Sure, let's go." Mana set the items down on the counter and turned to leave."W-wait! 500 leaf for what you were going to buy and 2800 leaf for your friend!" The shop owner offered hastily, not wanting to lose out on such a big sale. "Hey, did ya hear that, Ner?" Mana smirked at Nereus. "That's pretty nice of him. Does that sound like a fair price to you?"

Nereus "It does sound good, but only if I pay for it all. I would like to break the 5000." He showed her his wallet which had 5000 leaf and 4500 that were break into 500 leafs. "I'll buy this plus anything from the supply store. My treat."

The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ Hikari shook her head. "I can't help but feel that Naomi is right." Hikari grabbed a pillow and hugged it for dear life. "Besides, I'm nothing more than a weapon anyway. You shouldn't have let me live. I don't want to be a weapon. I thought I could run away from it but I was wrong." Her grip tightened on the pillow. "I never told anyone this, at first because I didn't know if you were trying to find me for the C.P.G. and after because I was afraid that you would all come to hate me. It's the first time that I can truly remember having a friend." A ghost of a smile appeared on her face but soon disappeared. "You all are risking yourselves to help me, but..." She shook her head. "Please, don't! You don't know what bad things will happen if I continue to live!" Hikari sighed. "It's not that I need to get this off my chest, but I couldn't live with myself if I killed you all after helping me. Let me start from the beginning." Her expression darkened, recalling painful times of her past. "I've been in C.P.G.'s labs most of my life, right? Every day, ever since I can remember, me and so many others were always trapped in these dark rooms. They kept telling me that I was sick and they needed to install to help me get better." Hikari shuddered. "So, they came in a lot to install. I hated it so much. It happened almost every day. People would just come in, pin me down and..." She couldn't finish. "When I thought that I couldn't bear it anymore, Naomi came to me. She told me and everyone else that if I downloaded a Hymn and sang it, the sickness would end and we would all be freed. She said that it was only because we were sick and contagious that we were being kept there. So I was really happy. I thought I could finally be with my family again." Hikari hesitated. She figured that Gannon knew most of that stuff about her if his friend had gone through some of the same things. But she was terrified to tell him the next part. "Th-that Hymn... we all sang it as hard as we could. We all wanted to be cured from that sickness and freed... They pointed to this one Reyvateil and told us to sing the Hymn, targeting her with it. None of us realized what it was supposed to do." Her voice had dropped to a whisper. "While we sang, I realized that big... thing floating above Seraca was reacting to the Hymn. I don't know what it is, except that it's part of the weapon, as I am. I overheard one of the people saying that they were using it to destroy the Goddess..." Hikari buried her face into the pillow. "I realized then that the girl we were targeting was the Goddess and stopped singing. But then the girls around me became confused and the weapon fired anyway. It hit Her and... I think it hurt Her..." The Reyvateil turned away from the Teru shamefully, tears falling down her cheeks. "R-Rhaplanca wants to save the Goddess. That's why I wanted to help her. I have always loved the Goddess. The only thing I can remember about my mom is her telling me the story of the Goddess and the city of the Reyvateils. She loves us all and works so hard to keep this land alive for all of us." She trembled as she wept, but still couldn't bring herself to face him. "I thought I could do something to help Rhaplanca and fight against the C.P.G. but... when they took me away... I tried so hard not to sing, but somehow... It feels like someone is inside of me. Those voices drown out my own thoughts and I don't feel like I'm myself anymore..." Hikari shrugged helplessly and sniffled. "T-that's why I shouldn't be allowed to live... no... that weapon should never have existed in the first place." She was hunched over, facing away from Gannon, clutching the pillow to her middle tightly. My Song is a Shining Light
