I think both my grand-parents were from Guangzhou. Left when the japanese invaded china.
Y'know, I was always fairly chilled out about the whole japanese occupation stuff and didn't get why chinese people are always so pissed at the japanese. That was until I read wikipedia for 7 hours and learned the truth! As well as some random stuff I just happened to come across, like samurai and s**t. xd
But yeh, I was really quite shocked about those atrocities... war crimes pretty much to the same degree as the Holocaust. Yet we were never taught that stuff in history, even though we did WW2 at GCSE. We barely covered the vietnam war. ¬__¬
For example, comfort women. I didn't even know what that was. Do you know? Shocking stuff. o.0

@Toki: Indeed. I was always pretty unknowledgeable about the whole thing. I came to love the Japanese when I found manga and anime; but the other things I then learnt made me go: o_O;;. But that's in the past... Though yeah, I agree; the Japanese violence was... creepy. Some of the things they did... gonk And yeah, I know what 'comfort women' are. Their title is rather self-explanatory.
And why are you apologising to yourself? O.o;; I wouldn't talk to myself!

 I'm screwed too, it's okay.
Have an essay and a case note for Tuesday which I haven't touched.
But to be fair, I have all of today and tomorrow left.. without silly things like lessons getting in the way.. xD
Oh, we went to France yesterday. Law freshers' thingy. Pictures might come at a later date.
