It did. She smiled with a tad of a smile as she swung her longbow, the hard wood was strong enough to give the swarm a wreck as she sneaked through the breach. She felt the chicken was bestowing her with protection and luck, oddly remarkable.

Yuki just stared in irritation at the chicken that decided to dance on his barrel as he rolled it to the drop point. "I hope you know how much I hate you. You and all of your kind."
Hate was a very strong word that he rarely used, but it was appropriate for this situation.
And then he pushed the barrel and the chicken off the edge and watched it land hard on the bridge. Finally.
He turned with a grin that clearly said he was pleased with himself, made eye contact with Piper, and gave a double thumbs up. "I really want to kill all of these chickens."
He might have looked a little wild in the eyes when he said that.

Kitty hefted a large barrel over her head again, and one more of her sacrificial chickens perched on top to help out. With a tiny grunt, she threw the object over the side of the ramparts, and onto the failing bridge. A loud thunk, and crunchy splat, echo'd from beneath.
Murdering chickens was daunting and gruesome work. But a girl had to do what a girl had to do. All for the King.

Matt scrambled following the others towards the ramparts of the northern tower; it lacked the creatures that he had seen before and knowing that he felt a sense of relief wash over him. Leaning over towards he looked across at the drawbridge. Half of it had crumbled down below as others where already throwing objects obviously anything that they could possible get their hands on. There was question in his mind if maybe setting it on fire would do anything to aid the process but with other men still out there still missing such an idea would only cause more injury than good.
Something, something heavy he thought turning away looking for something that would be heavy to throw over the side. A barrel on it side caught his eye as he ran towards it smelling the scent of alcohol as he rolled it from under the debris. Too bad, they were going to need it after the battle, but if they didn’t get the draw bridge down there was more a likelihood that they weren’t going to need it.
