She gave him a weird look, as if he was a total freak. Which might not be far from the truth, as far as she was aware. But then again, total freaks tended to run amock in a school for those with... ah, extra abilities. Or whatever you're supposed to call them.

"Um," she said, "I have no clue what you mean. Maybe?" Did he mean were they all in bed? Or what?

"Are they in," Ialo repeated anxiously. It was obvious he was still spooked by something, his foot was tapping and his eyes were wide and darting from side-side around the school's halls.

"As in, are all the student here, physically on the grounds?" Why the hell did he expect her to know this?

At that, she laughed. "Where else would they be? Unless you're talking about that one chick and Danni and her brother and them cuz they're all still over at Bai Ching."

Inside, she frowned. What had Ialo all worked up? He seemed really freaked out about something... and she wanted in.

Ialo blinked. "... Bai Ching? What are they doing in CHINA? What the hell happened while I was gone?" He paused. "How long was I gone?"

Athena paused. Ialo had bee--OH YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT! A look of slight comprehension sort-of dawned on her face. "Judging by my pasta habits..." she said, "I'd say you've been gone for a couple weeks. I was onto lasagna when you left and I'm just wrapping up spaghetti."

"Lin," Ambrose turned, the orb still in his hand, a soft smile on his face. "I'm sorry to say I'll be leaving this afternoon. I find I'm missing my baby sister." He said, not expecting her to understand how he could form an attention with a dark sorceress.

{{I'm guessing it's still Sunday, though Sunday night now. Let me know if I'm wrong, anybody. Thanks. smile }}

Lin was quite shocked that Ambrose was choosing to go back to school, to see his sister, over being tutored by her father. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that no one should pass up. Ambrose was so lucky that Lin's father was more than willing to reschedule whenever it worked best for Ambrose. In fact, Lin was more upset than her father. Her father understood completely because he knew that family always came first. It's the way elves were, and Ambrose showed that very well. But Lin couldn't help but feeling insulted that after she and her family had done so much to show him around, give he and his sister a party just for them, and try to make them feel at home, they just leave.

Well, it was heading toward nightfall and Lin had to get back to school. She said her goodbyes to her family and then made the gateway to go back to MFHS. It went directly to her room. When she was back in her room, she sat down at her vanity and sighed in exasperation. Now would be a great time to go see Dymetri, but he was probably busy with class now.

"You're kidding me," Ialo said flatly. "You cannot tell time by eating pasta, and there's no way I could have been gone for a few whole weeks." But inside, he hated to admit it seemed rather likely. What made it worse, was thinking about Krauser could have done while he had Ialo... no, that was just too creepy to think about right now.

"Anyways, Athena, than kyou very much and I will be on my way now-" Ialo took off down the hallway again, running rather quickly despite a noticeable limp. Damn knee. And the worst part was, he couldn't really hold it against Riser anymore. It was all water under the bridge now, and that new for a man who was used to holding grudges.

Athena frowned. Oh no, nonono, he was not going to just go off and expect her to not follow him. Didn't he read any books or watch Hollywood films? When you show up all freaked out and stuff and ask how long you've been gone, people follow you! Jeez, seriously.

So, she skipped after him. "You can too tell time by eating pasta. I'm sure it has something to do with menstrual cycles and can be explained technically, but all I know is that I crave certain kinds of pasta during certain times of the month and I'm rarely ever wrong. Unless I've been on meds."

The Headmaster cringed as he realized Athena was following him. Didn't she know you were supposed to avoid crazy people covered in blood and god-knows-what-else?

"I'd say cravings would be more influenced by deficiencies in your diet, which is why women on their period crave salty foods, to replace the iron and sodium lost," Ialo rattled off the top of his head.

"So I say you're systematically malnourishing yourself, which I guess could be a form of time-telling, but that's pretty twist- are you TRYING to distract me?"
PostPosted: Thu Jan 21, 2010 6:27 pm

Athena rolled her eyes. "I'm so not malnourishing myself. And if I were trying to distract you, wouldn't I be trying to get you to stop walking? All I'm doing is following you."

Ialo grunted, unable to argue with such a sound explanation. Now, what was he doing...? Oh, yes. Athena said some students had gone to Bai Ching. He should probably check on them. And Luna. Aaand his father. And Ophiuchus. And the school in general. The poor secretary must be swamped. Ialo felt rather guilty - which was odd, considering all the time he spent complaining to Kai about the damned place.

He sighed, and single-mindedly sought out the clinic. No doubt the first the Ophi did was take his father and report there.

Athena just followed behind, tail wagging mischeivously. She was going to find out what happened. She would find it one way or another, though Ialo seemed to be going with the easy way where minimal to no magic would be required. She didn't even pause to wonder why he was going to the clinic, because he probably needed to. He was limping and covered in blood, which kinda spoke for itself.

Ialo pushed open the door to the clinic, and slammed it sut in Athena's face, leaving bloody fingerprints.. He also locked it. "Ophiuchus," he roared, his voice somewhat audible through the thick door. "I know you are here, and I know he is here, and he better be alright."
PostPosted: Thu Jan 21, 2010 7:10 pm

Athena frowned and growled at the door. Who knows, at her house sometimes the doors would magically open when she did that.

Unfortunately, this door was not like the doors at her home, but she thought that maybe she could practice her magic. After all, her spellcasting teacher could only be happy if she improved, right? So she cast an unlocking spell on the door and pushed it open.

Ialo and Ophiuchus were in the back office of the clinic, where the Headmaster was currently chewing the medic out for essentially doing his job - he was very stressed, and needed to take it out on someone, and what better target than an immortal?

The door slowly swung open, but someone's foot stopped it before it was open to far. "How did you do that?" an older man asked. "A spell, right?" Nathan looked surprisingly well for having just gone through what had happened. Ophiuchus had healed him very well, and Nathan was assured the only pain he would feel were some aches through the next couple of days. "Why did you use a spell, instead of knocking?" he asked Athena again.
