Akane Saito "Thank you." She said, smiling. Akane felt how her strength was abandoning her, she was about to faint. But she focused and managed to pull herself together. "I'll be heading there, then." She said as she was leaving the office.

Rook entered the office, his cleaver in hand. "I was told to report here by Lady Summers. I'm a Human Paladin of Fire, and this is my greatsword, Bad Luck. Can someone help me?" He said scanning over the class.

When she saw a new recruit, Feather stood up to greek err, well she never received his name. Didn't matter! "Now, I'm not much of a genius when it comes to Paladin skills, but I can still supervise your training. Here is a book detailing all of the Paladin skills currently shared amongst all of the Paladins." She said as he handed him the book.

Rook nodded. "Thank you Miss." Were his words before stepping away towards the window. he set the book in the sun, and began reading. The first skill being 'Sense Evil.' He read the description in the book and thought on it for a moment. Focusing on good would put out a kind of ping that would help him sense evil. He shrugged, and tried to focus it out. Oddly enough, the ping would go out, and he could feel a sort of corruption on his body. he thought to himself.
The next ability was 'Clarity.' An ability that would literally let him see, and track evil beings. It sounded crazy, but familiar. He pondered the concept for a moment, and quickly came up with a way to test it. He took off the Talisman that hung from his neck and held it an arms length away. His eyes began to glow a bright white, and before long he could see the dark aura emanating from the trinket. 'He's still in there.'
The last ability he could learn from the book, was "March of the Crusader." Some skill involving leaving light where you step. He wondered why it all came to him so easily. Why he even could do these things. He began to walk around in circles, thinking about light, and filling his foot prints with the stuff. Shortly after making the seventh circle, his foot prints began to glow brightly. He was doing something right here.

Akane Saito Akane rushed into the academy and said loudly: "I'm sorry I took so long, but I'm back and will continue my training!" She said the last word strangely, since she saw another person in the room. Akane stared at him for a while. "I guess it's another trainee." She thought and turned to the metal dummy quickly. "Back to the training, then! Next skill - deflection." She stood near the dummy for a minute, confused. "Excuse me, Feather," she made a pause there, thinking if it's okay to call her by name. "but don't I need someone to attack me with fire, in order to understand how to deflect a fire attack? How can I learn this with a dummy?" Akane asked, blushing. She thought that maybe the solution was something very obvious, she just didn't manage to understand it.

Shayla skipped in, scythe secured to her back. "Castle! Castle are you in here?" she called out. Spotting the paladin Rook training in a corner, she hurried over and climbed onto his back. "Hey Castle! Whatcha doing now? Wasn't nice to leave a girl alone in the room..."

Rook looked back as Shayla climbed onto him. "Shayla, why do you insist on calling me Castle? My name is Rook." He said, spinning around trying to meet her face. After a moment, he stopped when he became dizzy.

Rook shook his head. "This is truth. If it's that obvious, I must change my tactics. I'd be too predictable." he said, looking down and pondering. Looking back to Shayla, he answered her question. "Today we're going to learn from books, all the while being supervised to make sure we don't break anything or hurt ourselves." He said that last part monotonously. He didn't like to be supervised. He was old enough to watch himself.

Feather sneaked behind her, hearing a mention of a book. "Here you go, lace. No need for thanks." Just as she wished for one, shayla have retrieved the helpful guide for necromancers. Feather have her attention back on Akane. "I will help you with that. Make yourself ready for if you don't get it right, you will get hit." She said to her as she have herself ready. "Here it comes." she warned her. Gather energy into her palm, Feather shoot out a fire ball tours Akane.

Suddenly finding a book in her hands, Shayla thanked the retreating teacher and pulled out hr own book along with a pen. Taking the time to sit down and copy the information over into her own book, Shayla tossed the book aside and got to work.
Her first skill looked to be giving herself over as a host to a spirit. She noticed if warned there was a chance to blow out her energy and die from this. So for now, she wanted to be sure she could at least get to the point this skill wanted. So sitting down, Shayla meditated until she found herself at the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead. Satisfied, she brought herself back to the living world and marked that skill off the list.
Double checking what she wrote, Shayla aw her next one was a damage dealing ability. Looking around, she noticed the teacher shooting fire at another girl. She must be a training animation, Shayla thought. Gathering the energy needed, she lobbed a sickly green bolt of energy at Akane.
Not even giving the training animation a second glance, Shayla moved on to the last skill. This would let her summon up an undead limb to help her out. Focusing, a small warp in the Veil became visible before the young necromancer. It deposited a decaying leg at her feet before vanishing. Picking it up, she looked it over before turning to Rook. "Hey, does this look too long to match my own legs?"

Akane Saito Akane focused and tried to imagine how can she possibly deflect a fire attack. Her guess was - to focus her fire energy in her arms and shield yourself with them. When a fire attack hits them, pull the arms away from the body, pushing the fire with them. So she gave it a try. When Feather's fire ball was flying towards her, she shielded herself with her arms and tried to pull the fire ball away from her. To her surprise, it actually worked, leaving her with only a few burns on the hands. "Not perfect, but still quite good." She though as the unexpected happened. Another trainee, who entered the office a while ago, attacked her with a strange attack she didn't see before. All she understood is that it's definitely not a fire attack. She didn't manage to do something about it in time, so the attack hit her. "What did you do that for?" Akane said with a bit of anger in her voice, though she was still smiling, so it was hard to say if she was angry, or just surprised. And then something in her exploded, creating minor wounds on her body. She was a bit scared, since she never saw such an attack before. "Will I be okay?" She asked. [Deflection mastered????]

Feather placed a hand on Akane shoulder, checking on the skin Shayala cased her green energy ball to. "You will be fine. It's only going to leave a small bruise." She said to her, comforting her down of the damage on her body.
"And for you, don't go casting your skills on other people like that!" She held up her finger to Shayala, giving her a warning. She saw what she did, it wasn't very cool to harm other trainee ever to test their skills.
