((Actually Cuwen you're 100% right, a longboard is also a MASSIVE type of surfboard. In fact, just as skateboard came from the word surfboard (as it was originally known as sidewalk surfing), longboard is taken from the large surfboard))

The corner of Dymetri's lip twitched. "Master Riser?" he asked, keeping the distance the same although she pulled away. At least I was right about the scheming.. he thought. "When you say 'slaughter' what exactly does that mean for you?" he asked, his lip twitching once more. Damn. The thought of blood. Being around Neon. Damn it. Damn it. Where the hell is a squirrel when I need one?
He smiled once more. Odd, it felt good to smile. To actually smile. Good thing he liked her sense of humor, or he'd commence the triple F on her: ********, feed, and flee.
"Are you saying you don't want me? After everything we've been through?" he asked sarcastically. He slid his hand from the back of her head to her cheek, caressing it. "You're not sexy at all, you know." he said in a monotone voice.

((Really!!! Woo! I win... on a technicality! But I'll take it! biggrin ))

She was so excited about the prospect of her new classes that she didn't notice the tiredness in Ialo's eyes.

Talking about learning made her light up, and the tips of her ears twitched ever so slightly, her eyes flashed in excitement, and small glittery sparks, ones that were so small and faint that they could only be seen by people right next to her, were coming from her.

"Who might this Ella be? I would love to meet her and ask her for private instruction in herbs! It sounds so exciting. I've only ever studied herbs in Eastern medicine. Do you have a list of healing and archery classes that you offer?"

Her voice was even becoming higher in her excitement. Not an annoying high pitch, though.

"Slaughter means slaughter of course," she said belligerently. "Killing people, slashing them open and watching to blood pool and blowing them up and watch them running around like headless chickens with their flesh wither and blisters and turns to ash." The passionate way Neon spoke make her killing sprees seem poetic.

"Hmm. You're not too bad. I'll have you, but on a later date."
Her eyes flashed, and she smiled. "I know. I just act it. Now, really. What do you want from me besides my name?"

"Ella is the healing teacher, I don't know where she is right now." Ialo sighed, and stifled a small yawn. "There's a list in my briefcase, which is somewhere around..."
PostPosted: Wed Jan 07, 2009 7:56 pm

Lin smiled brightly. "The healing teacher? You mean the official, highest-ranking healer here? Oh wow! That would be incredible to study under her!"

She then noticed the yawn that came from Ialo. Luckily she wasn't so excited that she missed that obvious gesture.

Her eyes widened and she quickly took off her necklace. She held out the pendant to Ialo. "Please, drink a few drops of water from my pendant. The top pops off so you can drink from there. It will refresh you for the rest of the day if you only take a couple drops. If you take more than that, it would likely keep you awake an entire week. It is water from the spring in my home forest. I usually don't share it, as it is against the rules of my people unless the situation is dire. You have been so helpful, though, that I wish to offer you some."

((sorry guys my internet was being comcrapstic I'll post give me a sec))
Kai dashed out the windows and took flight after riser. "alright you sick b*****d time to die!" Claymore in hand he swooped in to attack riser.
PostPosted: Wed Jan 07, 2009 8:26 pm

"You never answered my first question. Who is this Riser fellow?" he asked, a slight bit of an English accent coming through. He quickly buried it. He envisioned her description vividly, his lips twitching. He blinked.
"You're so confident I'd care to go through pure nonsense just to converse with you for a tad, have a bite to eat, then go to bed with you on a later date." he said in disbelief.
The hand on her cheek slid to the base of her neck while the other lifted her thigh above his hip. He rested against the tree trunk, letting gravity make Neon fall on him. "I'm sorry to ruin your schedule, little one, but what I want is a piece of you. Right here, right now. I'm finished playing your mind games, because if you are able to twist things in my head, you're able to see how much I've been dying for an opportunity like this."
He gripped the hair around her neck and pulled on it slightly to make her jaw fling upward. Her neck, visible and bare, was very much to Dymetri's liking.
He softly licked it, as if being able to tell how it tasted before he even wounded it. "As blood and sex crazed as I am for you, I've lived much too long to go about this without a gentleman's touch. May I suck your blood, little one?"

Danni was busy sleeping in her bed on the second floor of Cook's shack, her body sprawled out every which way, laying on her stomach and snoring softly. Her blue hair was spread out on the pillow as well, covering most of her face. This was how Cook found her when he peeked in through the door, in between meal times.

"Oh, baby girl...You're plum exhausted..." He murmured, but his voice alone had her rolling slowly onto her back, her eyes opening slightly. "Hi...I'll be up to help with dinner...promise..." She murmured, seeming to wait for his response as she forced her eyes open. "Uh...Of course, sweetheart. Whatever you want." He said, and she nodded, satisfied, letting herself fall asleep again, this time spread eagle on her back. Cook knew she wasn't likely to wake up at any time in the near future, and he wasn't about to wake her up for anything.

He just stood watching her for a moment, moving further into the room so he could run his large, dark hand down her cheek. She turned her head slightly so his hand was cradeling her face, and she let out a breath, murmuring something he barely caught. But hear it he did, and it was unmistakably 'Daddy'. He felt a flush stealign over his face, and attempted to pull his hand back, not sure how he felt about her actually referring to him as her father.

He'd just managed to free his hand when the phone began to ring downstairs, and he quickly shut the door to her room so it wouldn't wake her. He lumbered down the stairs, grabbing up the phone and putting it to her ear. "Cook." He said simply, glancing at the fireplace as he answered, thinking he'd have to put in another log.

"Cook, it's Ambrose. Lia and I need to talk to Danni, it's urgent. Is it ok if we come over there and talk in your living room or something?" He asked, and Cook sighed, glancing upstairs and cursing mentally. "Yeah, I guess. But make it quick, boy. My baby girl needs her rest." He said, absently scratching his golden retriever Sun Dance behind his ears, causing the dog to wag his tail in contentment.

Ambrose paused a moment at the 'my baby girl' comment, then made a noise of agreement. "Yeah, ok. We'll be there in five minutes or so." He said, then the line went dead, and Cook had no choice but to hang up, then go to fetch Danni from her bed. He walked back up the stairs again, opening the door. He went over to stand next to Danni, and gently pushed against her shoulder.

"Danni girl, come on. Wake up now." He urged, and she groaned, her eyes fluttering open reluctantly. "Time for work?" She asked, but he shook his head. "No, baby. Your brother and sister need to talk to you, they said it's urgent. They'll be here in a few minutes, you can talk by the fire." He said, and Danni struggled to sit up. As she did so, Cook took a cup from her nightstand, holding it to her lips.

"Down the hatch," He commanded, and she groaned but obeyed, almost gagging on the nasty liquid. Health restorative her a**. It was tar if it was anything. Without a word, he took her up into his arms, and she didn't protest as he carried her down the stairs, settling her in his huge recliner next to the fire. She watched as he stocked up the fire, then glanced at the door when there came a knock.

Silently Cook answered it, ushering the two siblings inside and leading them over to the couch. Ambrose took a moment to run a hand over Danni's hair, studying her face. It was still too pale in his opinion, the marks under her eyes too dark.

When the two siblings were seated, Cook took his seat next to Danni in another large chair. "Cook said you wanted to talk. That it was urgent." She said, rubbing her arms as though she were cold despite the crackling fire. "Yeah, Izzy...Um, I did something you'll probably hate me for." He said, and Danni raised a brow, cocking her head to the side as she forced herself to keep her eyes open.

"I doubt that, Ambrose. Just get out with it." She urged, and Ambrose took a deep breath. "I told Pops, and he told Mom." He said, and for a moment Danni was confused before his meaning became all too clearly. "You told them about the demons, about...that." She said, and he nodded, bowing his head and refusing to meet her gaze. Her eyes widened, and she put out a hand, which Cook took in his own, rubbing his hand over her knuckles. She relaxed considerably, her shoulders less tense as she looked at her older brother.

"Well? What happened?" She demanded, and he hesitated before saying softly, "They're...They're coming here. Tomorrow. To check out the school, they said." He said, and didn't miss when Danni's eyes widened, and her breath caught. "No...No, damn it, they promised they'd leave me alone if I agreed to come here. If I left the island and stayed here for four years, they wouldn't come here. That was the deal. Until the spell wore off, and as long as I followed the agreement, they were supposed to stay away! You c-can't let them do this, you can't!" She said, desperate.

Cook didn't really understand all this talk of spells and agreements, but he did understand that, whatever it was, it was upsetting his baby girl. "Here," Ambrose held out a piece of paper, still not meeting her gaze. "A letter from Pa, to you." He said simply, and she didn't respond as she read the letter to herself.

'Daughter, I've put it upon your brother to inform you of your mother's and myself's unexpected visit to the Mystic Fountain High School. I realize this goes against our initial agreement that included us not approaching you, but you should understand that circumstances force me to go against this agreement. This brush with demons of yours is alarming, and we worry for the safety of our children as long as you continue this dangerous profession with the dark arts. We find it necessary to visit your school and assess the situation. I trust you to be on your best behavior during our stay, and do well to not upset your mother. You should expect us within the next twenty four hours. Your Father.'

Danni read the impersonal letter once before balling it up and throwing it into the fire, watching as it burned. She knew what 'behave yourself' meant. She knew all too well. "Ok. I understand. I'll be ready by morning. You can go now." With that final dismissal, she slowly got to her feet, making her way carefully up the stairs until those below heard her door shut. Then there was nothing but silence, and a tension in the air so thick it couldn't have ben cut by one of Cook's butcher knives.

Valrie pondered what Ophiuchus had said. There were things she did not know, so she really did have to worry as much as she was. "Ok." She said as she relaxed a little. She smiled and then said. "Mommy has a visiter."

Ella looked at a brown cat that had jumped next to her. "Well. Hello, Kitty." Ella said as she cat looked at the baby. The cat meowed as it curled up next to Ella. Ella just smiled and yawned.

Ialo gently pushed the pendent back. "Thanks, but I'll be fine. Missing one night of sleep isn't too bad." He didn't feel like pointing out that as a dragon, he had a vast reserve of passive magic that would keep him awake for a few days on end without any help. Or that the water might possibly affect him slightly differently. "I bet I have papers in my desk at my office, actually."

Lin nodded and carefully put her necklace back on. "I understand. If you need to go in your office, I can wait out here. Or, if you wish, I can come back at a later time to fill out my class schedule, but before classes start so I know which one to go to first. Whichever is the best for you."

"Riser? Riser is a god, a god who understands the flaws of human nature. He was going to destroy all the bad people in the world, those who were stifling progress." Then Neon just shook her head. "Oh, you've got it all wrong. I'm only confident that I'll always come out on top." She thought for a moment and was surprisingly unresponsive as Dymetri licked her neck. She honestly didn't care if he bit her or not. As long as he didn't kill her. Her body was just a tool. "You may bite me as much as you want, but I have a feeling it's not going to satisfy you, it's not what you really want."

Ialo didn't answer Lin, as by the time she had finished talking he had already teleported away. A few moments later he reappeared with a packet in his hand, and his briefcase that was being held up by a long green-blue tail. The way the scales were so tightly interlocked, the two-toned color they had, and the subtle serration at the edges made it plain to see that it was a dragon's tail, and that Ialo was part dragon. "Alright, so this is a list of classes, unfortunately, we don't have the same variety we did a few years, but our teachers are very skilled. And if there's something you need outside of school, I'm sure I have a few connections that I can put to good use for you."
