Dear Stupid Journal that no one reads or cares about,

Today is off to a decent start [omgg can you believe it!!!]... I had a dream about 369 last night, but I woke up before I got anywhere =[. When I got to my locker today, I had a bunch packages waiting for me. Five of them had Heart shaped Box of Sweets in them. Wtfff...

"Give this to ElfTech369 to show you care"
"Give this to 369. She will love you for it! ^_^"
"You can give 369 these. PM me if you need advice wink "
"I'd suggest thanking her for the fruit and then give this to"
"Sweets for your elven crush smile "

... and a few other misc gifts. Thanks everyone, but I'll never work up the courage to give this to her. I think I might eat one for myself... What if I give it to her and she says no...t____t I'll probably start crying right in front of her... I can't handle that kind of pressure... *ghasp*.

I think what I might do it just write "<3 secret admirer" and leave them around for her to find... then I can see if she reacts. What harm could come from that, right? Maybe then later I could write her a note or something... but only at the end of the day so I don't have to face her.... _|``|O All my life I've been like this... Girls make me so nervous. I've never had a girl-elf-friend T___T.

Well... now I'm depressed again. Time to go check the new assignments... maybe I'll get to make toys =]]].

And someone sent me a vial of green liquid. What the hell am I supposed to do with that? I looked it up on poogle, but I couldn't find anything - all the links were 404'd.

I found a heart box full of candy stuffed into one of my open desk drawers tonight, after returning from the floor pantry. I didn't find any notes, and the box and many of the chocolates inside were crushed to the point in which I'd have to lick the box to eat it... sweatdrop

How strange. Maybe some poor tired elf was in a hurry and missed the trashcan... it's right there next to my desk..... confused

It is very quiet tonight here at the factory. I've decided to take a break from cleaning up the workspace where Elftech404 and I are to work on the Larry Potter Chemistry Set (there are Tickle-Me-Lamos everywhere! Kinda creepy if you ask me...)

On my way to work, I stopped by a tea store and picked up some Bengal Spice Tea, in taking up a recent suggestion from a helpful Gaian. I've mixed it with some warm milk- it tastes delicious! During my break, I will Poogle up some other options to look into, other than the doctor's appointment I've set up on Thursday. Valerian and melatonin? Cold showers and sleeping pills?

Perhaps I am doomed to just not sleep at night forever. crying

That nightmare! It's that same nightmare again...

What are we going to do? For days now I've been telling everyone that things are okay, but if anyone find out about the truth this Christmas is going to be a disaster...

Exausted.

Had to finish a lot of work in the uh... private areas of the facility.
Things are moving along. Christmas might actually happen at this rate.

I got Prancer to go along with it! Turning that silly reindeer into a rubber chicken will be the greatest feat of my career. The Amazing Elf rises again! Prancer wasn't hard to convince.

"How about 2 cans of chicken cola and a vegie-rollup?"

Prancer was elated. Turns out he is a huge fan of vegie rollups, although he thinks the chicken cola is questionable. Anyways, Prancer agreed, so now I just need to think of a way to pull of the stunt.

I've never tried a stunt of this magnitude before. I can do a rabbit from a hat easily, but tranforming a reindeer into a chicken is no small feat. The magic books say don't involve live animals in your act because they are messy and unpredictible. I hope Prancer doesn't leave any droppings on the stage.

Today I will be meeting with Elftech247 for my new job assignment. I am a little disappointed they are making me change jobs. I was getting so good at making those etch-a-sketches! I am getting rave reviews on my performance evaluations. It helps that I sit in the factory next to Elftech003's workbench. Yesterday, I was able to lift a couple hundred etch-a-sketches from her stack mid-afternoon and boosted my quota to over 650. ( Speaking of Elftech003, what is up with all the rubberbands? eek ) Since my quota was filled, I took a well-deserved afternoon off. Who needs to go to elf choir practice? Pffft. I have an excellent singing voice already. Par Rum Pum Pum Pum! And Mrs. Claus' auditorium address was more of the same 'Santa Claus is coming to town' drivel, no doubt. Skip it!

I asked Prancer if he wanted to go with me to a fun party in the back room of Gambino's Gold Rush.

"There will be lots of free vegie rollups, Prancer! And we are gonna playing black-jack, so you don't have to hold the cards with your hooves. In fact, you don't have to sit in on the game at all. I will teach you how to count cards and you signal me. How about that? That would be fun, right?"

But Prancer declined and made some horrible joke about how he only goes to 'stag parties'. He laughed for 15 minutes. I was not amused. I hope he doesn't try to upstage me by telling a bunch of lame knock-knock jokes on stage during my chicken tranformation act. I think I liked it better when reindeer couldn't talk.

The party was fun last night, but I lost over 500 gold. I need a playing partner to help neutralize the odds a bit. Time for another fun day at the factory! Too bad they pay us in sugar-plums and peppermint sticks here at the north pole. Ever try to exchange a sack of candy for a stack of chips at a casino? Fortunately, I know Lex personally, so he can hook me up.

The frosty pills and jolly vitamins really help with my sleeping problems. All my trouble seemed to have gone away...

Today I've been reassigned to the manufacturing facility as the chief elven operator. It's nice to have a new title before my retirement, but that is just a ploy to take me away from the research department. Now that the project is complete, it's just a matter of time until the parts arrive. My new job is to make sure that the manufacturing of our latest and greatest... toy is handled properly. The old man would be proud if he see this.

It's time for breakfest. Let me try some of this vegie fruit roll-ups.

Dear Elves,

Please do not be alarmed. The accident in the shipping yards this morning was merely caused by a malfunction in the crane mechanism and no one was hurt. Please continue with your assignments.

OMG this morning was crazy. I had my first major assignment in the shipping yard. My boss 247 had asked me to make sure the crates were moved into Sublevel D where he could have direct access to them. Apparently, he is working on a very secret toy that is supposed to be really COOL. He told me that I shouldn't ask him about it cause he wants it to be a surprise and that's ok with me cause I LOVE surprises! heart

Anywho, this morning a big moving transport arrived and on it were a huge stack of crates. While we were craning the crates off into the loaders, one of the cables snapped and one of the crates crashed on the floor. Inside was some kind of mechanical arm! eek

THIS IS SOOOOO KEWL!!! Santa is going to make a HUGE crane arm game!!! Oh, I better keep hush about this... surprises are the best!! domokun

I LOVE WORKING IN A SECRET ARCTIC TEST FACILITY!!! heart

Today's mystery gift: a deck of used playing cards.

I had the faintest dream sensation this morning where I saw my hand reaching into some mysterious pocket. What a strange dream!

--------------------------

My palms have been sweating profusely this entire morning.

Why? It's because I met my new group for R&D today. There's 247 who I briefly mentioned, the workaholic. There's also 101 who has really thick caterpillar-like brows and who is probably the most enthusiastic guy I've ever seen here (he must be happy with his salary). sweatdrop

But why would my palms be sweating because of them you ask? Nay, they're not the reason why my palms are sweating. My palms are sweating because of the last member of the R&D group...

HIM!

Yes, HIM! My muse! My sweet, sweet Him, He who I waste days of passionate thoughts on... Him... ohh my sweet angel love!

He extended His hand towards me in a most hauntingly beautiful gesture after introductions...

My mouth was locked in a cheshire cat-like grin, thank goodness these face masks we've been mandated to wear hid it! And thank goodness my hands are covered in these white gloves so that He didn't feel these perspiry palms of mine when I grasped His beautiful hand for a shake. Maybe this is the start of a beautiful friendship... I feel so giddy...

After that brief moment of sweet reverie, we began to work. Our duty was to unload crates from a transport. Pretty ho-hum. Following a pasta lunch, 101 happened upon a mechanical arm of sorts in one of the crates; he thinks it's for a crane arm game.

I love crane arm games! heart

My pile of etch-a-sketches have been reduced by .8", they sit depleted at the corner of my work bench against the equally spaced tick-marks of black ink I have inscribed on the wall. Every half-inch, or 125 completed pages, is interrupted by dark red; I can see a previously covered crimson dash, guiltily revealing itself again, the pages leaking downward, already halfway to the next.

I suspect the bespectacled, quick-fingered elf in the cube next to me. From my intimate vantage point, I have seen him hard at work not at the assembly line, but practicing making various objects vanish and reappear.

I have been reassigned to manufacturing by Elftech247, blueprints and materials have been provided for this solo project.

The shoe is to be encased with lightweight titanium, lined with
poly-paraphenylene terephthalamide, and padded using the finest faux rabbit fur available. This design ensures hours of comfortable bunny-hopping down sunny fields littered with dandelions or shrapnel.

Trampoline soles allow for an upward trajectory of seven to ten feet on concrete, and five to seven on freshly fallen snow. The range of the demanded sizes astonished me, from delicate matchboxes fit for a bouncing elfling, to mini-submarines that could be gifted to Santa himself!

The footage of the ship yard accident stirred within me a vague interest. The impact with which the claw hit the ground suggested a metal similar to my own Material-of-the-Day. The panic on the faces of my tech-mates failed to move me, not because I did not perceive the "toy" arm as a malignant sign, but because I could not understand why they did not consider the gift sets full of chemicals equally as disconcerting.

Without knowing why, I rewound the video to watch it again, and by the third or fourth go, I realized that I was not looking at the mechanical arm, but gazing intently at the image of the formerly joyful elf in profile. I watched as the ample brow rose up in shock, and joined the hairline to create a gentle, pleasing black slope.

This morning there was an accident in the warehouse. I couldn't sleep well last night, probably because of much pent up chakra percolating in my Solar Temple. When I finally awakened this morning, it was released into a mass of focal energy and thus caused the crate to spontaneously liberate itself from the crane. I convinced the crate to fall, much like how I convinced Rick Jagger to sing for the Rolling Pebbles many decades ago with my psionic astral energy! I must be very careful with this sekret.

good - bad .. sinful - pure .. these are judgments constructed in the mind .. born from conditioning, not from awareness or mindfulness .. only through mindful being can we ever hope to achieve right action.

Mr. Claus is a better man than i by far .. the 'list' this year has been made, but not yet checked twice .. i have been with Mr. Claus in years past .. as he checked the list .. wise and understanding .. weighing without passing judgment .. this year he is so busy .. i can only hope i am elf enough to have done half as good a job.

now it is late .. this long day has made me tired to the bones.

His mind in constant offense to protect his hollow truth.

Arms stiff from
repeated,
restrained,
repetitive motions.
Hands trembling, fingertips cracked and oozing.

His song ended on a malicious note as he left his cubicle for lunch and didn't return.

Two hundred pairs of moonshoes, accepted in the afternoon, but marked next to the name of 7 2 2 .
Quota, quota, quota, the day resets to zero and I start again.

His frosted glasses don't blur his eyes enough to hide that they never. meet. mine.

Eighteen hours.
Almost, almost;
almost, almost.
