I'm a prot warrior and I think it has been one hell of a journey leveling the b*****d. Its getting a lot easier now since people are always looking for a tank to do instances tho... and it is pretty fun to play one of the more challenging classes.

The part I find frusturating is no useful ranged attacks. I'm at the mercy of any mage that I come across. And while higher level instances aren't too hard since I just have to spam my sunder button, it gets hard when I'm trying to keep everything on me and someone is throwing out their highest threat spells and gets angry when I can't save them because I'm selfishly paying attention to the other 5 guys that are hitting me. gonk

Healing classes seem like they're hard as hell too - especially when you hit high levels and your guild tells you "Oh? You're a shadow priest? Not anymore!" Or those poor shamans that get tricked into going resto. I've never rolled a healing class... except pally which for some reason I feel doesn't count since I still get to have a shiny sword to hit things with. I don't think I could deal with the pressure of having everyone tell me its my fault the group wiped because I didn't have infinite mana. xp

I think being a good tank is extremely hard. Especially being MT in raids.

Skill-wise:

Leveling - Paladins
Everything is easy to level with the right knowledge, but Paladins get extremely tedious after not very long. The best you can do is either zerg and take time drinking, or wait while you auto-attack.

Instances - Prot Warrior
Prot warrior is one of the most vital things to instancing, but also the most difficult. Why? It's hard nowadays to properly maintain aggro on several mobs while the DPS zerg them stupidly.

PvP - Healers
There are few healers in PvP, BG or otherwise. When they are present, they die quickly. After a while, people normally learn to not focus on the warrior, but the person keeping him alive while CCing the warrior in question. Not to mention it's hard to keep someone alive when there's more than two people on him. This happens alot.

Group-wise:

Instances - Healers
People give healers s**t. All. The. Time. It's always the healers fault, the healer is always left for dead, and in several instances, good healers die constantly because of aggro mechanics.

PvP - Classes able to heal
In PvP, if you can heal, that's what you do. It matters not if you're a DW Shaman with 1500 AP and 30% crit, it matters not if you're a shadow Priest with 2000+ shadow damage and 9k health, if you can heal, you're supposed to heal, and if you don't, you're a noob who needs to re-roll.
Evidently.

Apparently, healing classes are the hardest overall.

There is a differnace between holy and healing holy specc.
You can go damage holy or healing holy.
I did the stubborn thing of leveling holy all the way, and then a healing holy, not one point not dedicated towards healing. It was stupidly hard getting to 60, but once I got to outlands it was easy street. Everyone needs someone to heal. You can level most of the way in instances. But after TBC the level 40-60 instances are just a no go... no one... and I mean no one... goes to scholo or ubrs, lbrs or even brd for that matter.
And Im sorry but if your healing holy, sure you kill stuff, you survive everything, but you also have to sit down every other mob to drink, and it just takes ages... On the other hand, once you hit 70 its easy street. Holy priest? Here have some epix and come with us to these places.

Now... on the other hand, one of the easiest classes to level is also the hardest at 70... thats the hunter. Ya wana know why? Well because no one needs a hunter in their raid group. There is a total of 1 fight that you could possibly be usefull... Other then that... Your useless, going to Kara without a hunter, easily done, going kara without a healer, no way.

And to be honest the hardest of all is probably a warrior, its the only class I cant stand playing, for the same reason as I hate being a druid... I hate... and I mean hate.... rage.... and energy.... And leveling as a druid you gotta use bear form alot... I hate both. I cant do it.
So I have the utmost respect for Warriors, I do, they are abselutely amazing. (Tanking warriors ofcourse then aswell)

I have never once had trouble leveling my balance druid. I'm sad to say I'll probably have to change her over to restro when I get to 70... and I shall miss her massive DPS and my sweet sweet children (treants) and my silly chicken dance. crying

Also, I have had a great sucess leveling my warlock (Destruction) to 35 and only stopped because I have sworn to get my druid to 70 as fast as possible.

The only class so far that I really got bored with was the hunter. I couldn't get very far because it was just so dang boring. I didn't like letting my pet go attack while I shot them with a bow from afar. sad Just not the same effect as hurling a big fireball or starfire spell at them. mrgreen I know people love this class... but I have no clue why. sad My best friend adores it. I just smile and nod. ^_~

Warrior can be difficult to play at times, no self heals, no reset buttons just a race to see who kills the other first.

I find rogues to be difficult at times but it also depends on what spec you go with.. sweatdrop

I always enjoyed Subt for leveling. It was slower than combat for sure but it was so much fun. Shadow stepping flying mobs in Northrend was probably my favorite hunting. SS + ambush, land, evic, rinse and repeat. I put rogues in the same category as warriors in terms of leveling, though they have a step up from warriors with the ability to drop combat, blind and bandage, and multiple stuns.

I have to disagree with this slightly, I'd rather be whacking at the one boss instead of being the loser running around picking up all the damn adds. >:[

But in correspondence to the topic, shamans for me.

being a hunter is the hardest sure you have a pet but it can be your best friend or worst enemy and if atracts alot of aggro and gets pwned then ur next in line and fiegn death doesnt always work and pvp is extremly hard againist melee based classes such as rogues, warriors, death knights and pallys because even though your pet atempts to drag your enemy away from so u can shoot them players tend to ignore your pet and attack you anyway you have no self healz and your melee sucks you cant attack with your more stronger ranged attks if your opponent is close up so the only classes you hav a chance againist are mages priests warlock shamans and druids if they are not transformed wahmbulance
