Well, 10 weeks and 2 days to go and I believe that everything is booked and secured.
We went to the Apollo hotel 2 weeks ago for a wedding fayre, and finished organising what we want balloon wise. We spoke to the DJ who has made an appt with us for a week beforehand to go through songs etc. We have organised the suits completely (shockingly handsome young men xD )
We also have sent out the invites and compiled our wedding list, it was so hard thinking of things which we wanted to put in our home together when we don't have our own place right now. We have chosen lots of kitchen/dining things and some pretty stuff.
Today we went to meet our registrar, who was very nice. Then the reading of the banns was done - it is a legal notification of our intention to marry, to which people can object if they have reason. We went through the service and what it contains, chose our vows, decided on the readings we want, chose an order of ceremony They asked lots of questions, we paid them a lot of money, they made us fill out a lot of forms and that was that all done!
Now I think all we need to do is....pay for everything else lol! Oh and my Mum is going crazy as she can't find her perfect outfit!
I am starting to get nervous now, I just hope its a great day full of smiles and laughter, that will make everything perfect.

2 weeks to go and I am so stressed >.o
Firstly, my flower girl, Hannah can't be at the wedding which has upset me so much. Her mum and dad are going through a difficult divorce. mark has hannah in the week and Jo has her weekends. Mark has a new fiance. Mark and Jo's divorce came through about a month ago. Obviously, Mark has requested to have hannah on the weekend of the wedding. Jo has been probing hannah about why mark wants her that weekend, hannah caved in and let it slip she was my bridesmaid. Jo believes she and mark are lying, and that it is actually mark and his fiance who are getting married. Due to the fact Jo is a crazy b***h and uses her daughter to get at mark, she is not letting him have hannah. So I have no flower girl cry
Secondly, work is being a pain in my backside. I work a late shift once a week, til 8pm. Last week I was told that because I am having 3 weeks off for the wedding, I have to do all the late shifts I would be missing in those 3 weeks in one week. That means I am expected to do 4 in one week. That would be ok, except I have appointments coming out of my ears with florists, dj's etc etc. If they had told me the previous week, no problem. But now I am in a crappy situation. Grrr.
I haven't tried the wedding dress on, for fear that something will be wrong with it or me!!!
I went to the hairdressers to have my hair highlighted yesterday, I swear it has a ginger tint to it....its meant to have BLONDE. People are saying its just me, but I am so sure its ginger >.o not that there is anything wrong with ginger, but I wanted blonde!
We still haven't chosen any songs!! we need 5 for the service, they have to be songs and cannot have any religious stuff in them because we are not marrying in a church. We also need a song for the first dance rolleyes
Jeff and I can't book a honeymoon as he has to go to the Visa office in london first. He doesn't have to I suppose, but we want to get it sorted so there are no more problems!!! We are going to book a late deal and just go where the wind takes us (or the cheaper pricetags!!!)
On the plus side though,.....the cake is done and apparently beautiful (I haven't seen it!!) The suits are ordered, we just have to have jeffs stepdad and brothers fitting when they arrive in the uk. The flowers are sorted, the balloons are all paid for, I found beautiful red satin peep toe shoes for the bridesmaids, and all the gifts have been bought.
Yay lol! Weddings....so stressful. I wish I was the person who could just go get married on a beach with no planning, just do it! Unfortunately for me, I was born to be obsessed with planning and worrying...With a perfection freak of a mum! Hehe I love her, she drives me mad but she is a superstar. I wouldn't even have a venue picked out by now if she didn't push me lol!!
Anyway, hen night should be saturday (i still haven't organised it!!!!) and hopefully a wedding will happen the following week lol!

Jools sounds like a busy next couple of weeks. Just remember to stress now, but when your wedding day comes, no matter what remind yourself to just relax, and enjoy the day. You've spent all this time planning and it will be over before you know it. So no stressing on the big day only enjoyment! (trust me my wedding got rained out, half my guest didn't show, my veil got lost, just for starters; but I just keep breathing and telling myself to have fun. And I did!)

Today Jeff decided to tell me his mum arrives next weds not on thursday as planned >.o I just pray my work lets me take the day off! I have 5 days annual leave left, but if others are off it could be a problem.
MEN. evil xd
Thanks Angie, its nice to hear I am not the only one screwing about their big day! I am so scared I would be quite happy to run away and hide now!
Did you ever worry about whether you had made the right choices, whether you were sure about getting married, whether you were ready for the commitment? I am so scared I won't be good at being married. I know this sounds weird but I don't want to call myself Mrs Julie Smith. I like being little miss Julie. Goddamit lol.
