I decided to thoroughly update this page, as things have advanced alot since I very first posted and it is easier to keep a track of things via this page.
It's going to be pretty long, so be patient for things to load!

The wedding specifications:

Date - Saturday May 27th 2006
Time - 1pm
Venue - The Apollo Hotel, Basingstoke.
The first dance - To be confirmed

The Wedding breakfast menu

~ Prawn & Salmon ~
Steeped in raspberry dressing and scented with Basil

~ Roast Sirloin of Beef ~
With Traditional Yorkshire pudding

~ Tuile Basket filled with Clotted Cream & Strawberries ~
Drizzled with chocolate sauce

~ Coffee & Mint Chocolate ~

There is a seperate menu for those with special dietary requirements, but it makes it kinda long so I am leaving it out!

The Bride's Attendants:

Stephanie Rees - Bridesmaid
Leanne Moir - Bridesmaid
Hannah Andrews - Flower Girl

The Grooms Attendants:

David Gilland - Best Man
Martin Croombs - Usher
Max Smith - Usher

The dress:

The Attendants dresses:

The two adult bridesmaids will be wearing these wine red dresses, with a small train at the back, which you can sort of see. I also bought them and myself a pretty satin clutch bag to hold in the evening.
My flowergirl will be wearing this ivory dress, with diamonte's on the bodice and skirt. We are changing the sash across her waist to a plain red wine colour, to match the older bridesmaids colours. The flowergirl will also be wearing the little tiara shown.

The Grooms proposed suit:

We have not quite decided on this yet, but I think this is my favourite. The ushers and best man will have plain ivory waistcoats instead of the embroidered one, which is just for Jeff.
Sorry, the pic is a little fuzzy.

The cake:

I cannot find a picture of the cake as I am having ours. Our cake will be 3 tiers of fruit cake, in a hexagonal shape. The stand is the shape of an "S" I hope this makes sense. There will be plain ivory icing. There will be a trail of tumbling roses and freesias "falling" from one layer to another.
Our roses will be of all different growth stages, different types of roses, and different shades so as to look like real, wild, natural roses, including the leaves. The freesias wil be a combination of open and closed buds.
I have found 2 examples of the flowers, but cannot find a similar cake stand.

The Hair:

These are the hairstyles I am looking at for myself (sorry the second pic wont shrink so it looks a little weird)...

These are the hairstyles I am looking at for the older bridesmaids:

The older bridesmaids will have roses in their hair, matching their bouquets.

I am not sure how the flowergirls hair should be. Her natural hair is quite long, and has a natural ringlet curl to it...if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Things left to confirm:

* Flowers
* First dance
* Bridesmaids shoes
* Brides Ring
* Groom, grooms attendants and male family's clothing.

xd dont get me started on wedding stuff, you will never hear the end of it!
We are getting married in a hotel with these big gardens perfect for the photos....because his family will be travelling a long way (from america) so they can stay there 3nodding and my family come from other parts of the country so it makes things easier.
Plus we aren't religious so a church wedding would seem kinda hypocritical to me....

colour scheme will be cream and deep red. I am having deep red crystals embroidered into the corset of my dress and the bridesmaids will be in deep red, the waistcoats on the guys will be cream and the ties are deep red ^.^

I cant wait to show u all pics! heart

heart sounds beautiful ... Really can't wait to see pictures. Deep red and cream sounds like such a lovely sheme. I am going for 'breakfast at tiffanys' baby blue and silver. I am looking into setting a date for my wedding sometime next year too ... but all the baby stuff has kinda taken over (not that I mind.) I have a whole folder full of wedding ideas (a little bit Monica from friends - I know) but hey we girls are allowed to indulge in the opulance of 'OUR' day wink

I wanna have a natural birth, so I hope it goes as smoothly for me when I finally have a little one. 3nodding

And congratulations on the wedding! It sounds like its gonna be gorgeous. I wanna get married barefoot on the beach.. and I want the guys to have rolled up pants. I want a bonfire that evening, and lots of food and dancing. Really, I don't like formal things because they make me uncomfortable, lol.. and yet I want a huge wedding, so this seems like a happy medium. Plus, Mike's and my favorite place in the world is the ocean, so it works. 3nodding blaugh

All your weddings sound cool. I'm not sure if you still can, but when I was planning my wedding I went to mms.com (the website for the M&M's candies), and looked at getting M&M's to match the color of my wedding. I thought it would be a cool addition. It wasn't really expensive, either. Just a thought for those who are planning a wedding.

Congrats to everyone!!!!
